I came across this store as Im in this neighborhood everyday. I feel like the location is a bit obscure for most people to take notice and take a hike here. But if you do venture in, the store is very aesthetically pleasing. They have a variety of leather goods, watches, notebooks, and even bikes. I bought a couple of notebooks which I had custom engraved at no charge. The lady who help me do the engraving was super friendly, and the staff are really nice. Although the engraving was free, the notebooks and other products are a bit pricey. They deserve 3 stars because the handful of staff putting up the installation in the front of their store were a bunch of snobs. They were so unfriendly when a customer asked what they were doing, and they sprawled all over the seats so no customers could be seated. This staff has not been definitive of my experience here, but it has certainly left me quite turned off.
I went today to shinola watch store , I thoughtMy runwell was broken I spoke to SpencerHe instructed me how to set the time andDate correctly. If you desire to purchase aShinola watch I highly recommend Spencer. He also sent me videos how to maintain my shinolaBy the company standards.
Great store! I specifically sought out this store as we don’t have the brick and mortar Shinola in Nebraska. The store was very cool and stocked with many of the large Shinola products. The staff was very helpfully and friendly. I was offered a complimentary drink (water, tea, coffee) from the in store coffee shop. I worked with a young gal named Jessica Andrews. She was awesome! Knew the product well and was very friendly without being pushy. When I wanted to look at different versions of watches she customized the watch with specific bands on the spot.I went to the SoHo store as well. Very friendly too.Great experience from start to finish.
I havent been to this store in a couple of years, but since the SoHo one closed, I had no choice. I needed a new battery for one of my time pieces.I like how they replace the battery in house. The service was done in about 10 minutes. I wasnt happy that they now charge for the battery replacement. I own a SHINOLA & FILSON, for about 7 years now. Never had to pay for a battery. Also, this store was dead. I was the only customer in there. Reason being, the staff was soooo unfriendly. The woman, who was monitoring the main floor, barely said hello and was tooo busy on her phone. A man who was at the back counter, directed me to the front where the battery was changed. The woman who changed the battery was efficeint, but barely said a word. The energy of this store was like an old folks home. At least play some music on the turntables that are for sale
Nice merchandise made in Michigan USA. Many different knickknacks for purchase from watches to dominoes. Bikes to notebooks. The items are pricey- dont know who they cater too. Or what some of them are for. Come give a Look! Its off the local 1 train! Located on a cobblestone street. Inside is a bar for drinks-
If youre a fan of shopping or modern style/design, dont miss this store. Smartly, theres a coffee bar right as you step inside, so before browsing you can reenergize with a cappuccino and delicious cranberry lemon scone. The products are definitely curated, with an odd range of items that are all beautifully designed. There are gorgeous bicycles, luggage, notebooks, and watches, all with a manly chic style that leaves Ralph Lauren waaay in the dust. One small quibble: they have a few items that scream Vanity Fair/hedge fund idiocy here: a sand-filled leather paperweight, a leather paper clip, a leather toothpick holder. With these items, they seem indecisive about who their customers are: young and chic Soho types or Park Avenue bourgeoisie with too much cash.
I just like Shinola. Chic watches and a great design. But also great bags and accessories. The Tribeca store is unfortunately the only one left in NYC after the Dumbo store closed in January. The collection can be found almost completely and everything is presented very attractively.Sean served me and he was really the hero. Super friendly and warm and helps in all matters. Really great!Overall a nice experience that accompanies me home with a watch.

2022-07-17We had the very best experience shopping here! Customer service was unbelievable. I had my eye on Shinola watches for months and had been religiously viewing the website for the last week or so and finally decided to go and try them on in person to see what watch was the best fit for me. Sean and Reed (sorry if misspelled) were both courteous, professional and patient- all things I need in a sales professional. I finally decided on the perfect watch to take home. As we were driving back home (we don’t live in the city), I noticed there were a few imperfections on my new watch and called the store immediately. They were so kind and offered to replace the watch, so we ended up driving back down the next day. I was really nervous going back inside because I don’t like to complain, but I spent what was a lot of money for me, and wanted the watch to be perfect- at least for the first few days. They were so kind when we came back in and offered us a small gift to apologize and thank us for coming back in. We were OVER THE MOON with the level of customer service that Sean, Reed and Spencer provided us and will be lifelong customers to this particular store!

2022-07-13Great store and friendly service. However, products not always in stock. Hate being told they will have to ship you a product.

2017-04-02Great little store. Everything is neatly presented. You can be hands-on to check out the merchandise and the staff doesnt hover or hound you. Everyone there is friendly and accommodating. Awesome watches made in Detroit (with some high-quality imported Swiss parts.)

2021-08-02Visited store to buy a brown leather replacement band for my watch. The ONLY brown band they carry in the store is a $225 alligator band. The guy started to show me how to search for bands online (thanks for nothing…who the heck doesn’t know how to use a website). Pretty lame for a “flagship” store to have such lousy selection. Generally a fan of the product but their sales reps are weak.ps, why does the band on a watch break after 3 years? I have watches that are 10-20 yes old that haven’t needed a band replacement.

2021-06-14Sam and Sean were amazing help plus a pleasure to speak with. They were able to find me the perfect bands for my watches and swapped them out for me. I always have a pleasant time when visiting the TriBeCa store.
