Impressive company. My experience with them was impeccable and not comparable to others that do this per kg shipments. Its a a self explanatory process and theyre reaaaally fast. No need to use DHL unless you have all the money to spend. By the way DHL will also normally clear within 2 to 3 business days. I mean i did not find much of a difference in terms of speed compared to DHL
This was my first time using iMail to ship items from US. My disclaimer here is i had not read any reviews. I have previously used Kentex Cargo who were honest, reliable but slightly expensive. The term cheap is expensive is true and especially in this case.I ordered items online that were all delivered to iMail staten address by 9th August. The items shipped out on the 21st August. This was after following their instructions in sending all details of all packages to ship out. I had a total of 5 packages. They confirmed receipt of 5 packages and shared photos to confirm. I was told that by Thursday, 26th, i will have the goods delivered to me. Things went downhill once the goods arrived in Kenya.I received the invoice in my inbox to pay for the packages on 27th August despite (delay/ problem number 1). Once i made payments, i was told i would receive the good by Friday, 27th. Delivery was made on Sunday afternoon despite my constant emails requesting information. The cherry on-top of the cake, they have misplaced one of the packages (i have only received 4 packages). The fact that i have to send email after email following up on my package is least to say frustrating. I have no contact number to call other than the contact in USA which no one picks. Right now the most up to date information i have on email is that they have received my information and i quote Yes we will have feedback for you regarding this. We will contact you. How this is meant to give me confidence in their services, i dont know. Still waiting to see if this package will reach me.This will be the first and last time i use iMail and would not recommend you use them unless you are comfortable with the potential of your packages missing and dealing with such poor communication.
Packages was part of the March 22nd 2021 shipment arrived on April 22nd 2021. My experience with iMail has always been excellent since this last shipment. I understand the delay of shipments outside of there control I just wish they would have let us know on the website before or early enough of delays like what they are doing now we would have understood. But all in all I received both my packages safe & secure (like always).
Where’s my package? It shows on their website that it arrived in their Eastleigh warehouse on 4/4/21,and was ready to be collected on 4/8/21. All of a sudden they can’t find it. It was sent out in Feb with a promise of getting to Kenya in two weeks, but it took 2 months. I do not recommend.
IMail was at some point slow but I understand there were issues with the airline they were using and I mean, I think everyone in the air industry knows that Turkish is cheap but slow while Emirates and Qatar are the most expensive but also the most efficient. With their pricing, I would think that was the reason they used Turkish even though it was a really slow service but I have seen them using Kenya Airways and its actually a better alternative
This company is unreliable and dishonest, especially on the Nairobi side. The first time I used the service, the package was ready in a little more than 3 weeks, not 2. Organizing delivery was very confusing and frustrating, as the Nairobi office was giving conflicting information. When I called to check on delivery, I was told the driver “had a puncture” and was on the way. When the driver arrived, he said he had no puncture, just a lot of packages. I tried again. Instead of 2 weeks, it has been 6. After 3 weeks with no update, I tried calling. No one would pick my calls. Finally about once a week the US person would post updates on the tracking website. After 6+ weeks, the packages were released, but again, delivery was a nightmare. I was promised my package was on the way, and drove from Naivasha to meet the driver. Kendry on the Nairobi office line told me she would check at about 4pm. She never called back. I called again at 4:40 and was again told the driver was on the way, but “had a puncture on Thika Road,” and was still on the way. Then the “driver” called (Kendry didn’t recognize his name, Steve!). He said he’d taken back the boxes to Eastleigh, where Kendry claimed she had just left. It is a physical impossibility. They asked endless patience for customers, with zero discounts and zero effort to even deliver on time and truthfully once the packages were released. You cannot count on iMail for reliable shipping or honest information.
The owner will dish out an excuse for the delay, weeks after the delay! The shipment was last updated as being in Turkey. And now the Turkish Air link that was shared says there is no booking by that code. This is after SEVEN WEEKS of dates being pushed. No communication whatsover! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!Telling me to check with Turkish is like a waiter telling you to follow up with the chef after food has delayed for hours. As far as Im concerned, Imail has my goods, what does Turkish Air have to do with it?
Promise, delay, excuse, delay then a new promise. Rinse, repeat the cycle. Might break on the 6th cycle if youre lucky.Edit: Ive used Imail 4 times. 3 times there has been a delay. Those 3 have come back to back. While I understood the first 2 of the 3 having been a clearance problem, its this third one that has got me ticked off. The delay was explained as cautionary and a date given. Only for the dates to change again by 5 days when they arrived, citing space issues. This struck me as odd, considering something cautionary is supposed to have been well thought-out. Also, whos to say this space one wont happen again? 3 delays out of 4 is not a good score guys. Im sorry. In the screenshot below, the packages were consolidated on the 21st of Feb. This was after we were promised that the initial delay which took six weeks to sort, was over. Suffice it to say, I wont be using Imail again, nor recommending it.

2022-06-16Been using them for a while now, the shopping time to Kenya has drastically decreased in the last year or so.Theres opportunity to improve and make their Nairobi office more professional. When customers can come in and see a physical office, it boosts their confidence to trust the company.Otherwise I keep using them for their affordability and speed of delivery.

2021-12-27Amazing company with a really fast shipping experience. Its quite a joy to work with them and they share most of the information you need to track the package in your account. Im used to two weeks from all other companies I have used but this one has been consistently delivering within 9 days, sometimes earlier. Its blissful. No stress

2022-03-10Poor poor service after the package has landed in Nairobi. Waiting on our package for more than 2 weeks after landing in Nairobi. Extra charges for courrier etc and service goes even worse. Taken in circles by the imail team!

2022-01-20Fast shipping from US upto JKIA. After that, its just problems. Last mile delivery is their biggest let-down. I am yet to receive a package that arrived in the country 10 days ago, and I got some rather unpleasant responses when I tried to follow up with the US team via WhatsApp. Ill assume this is due to the festive season and give them a few more days to deliver it. But, still, their website says you will get your packages within 14 days and local deliveries will be done in 48 hours. Furthermore, their website says they will be shipping throughout the holiday season. So I was not expecting delays during this Christmas period based on the information on their website.Ill edit this review and score them based on how they handle my other packages that are yet to be shipped to Kenya then decide if I will keep on using them.Update: I received all my packages. The second shipment was flawless and the packages arrived on time. I guess the prior delay was due to the festive season, and that’s expected. I would recommend them especially for bulky items as they strictly use the actual weight of items.

2021-12-12Sorted out the small misunderstanding we had and everything is good. Will be using them fron now on.New UpdateWould be great if they had a local Kenyan number to know if your goods have been dispatched for delivery . Now I have to sit at the house the whole day waiting for my goods to be delivered.

2022-02-27Very straightforward shipping company. They do their job professionally and are seemingly very good at it. No volumetric is also something I really liked about it
