This particular location 400 jay street in Brooklyn opens for operation at 11am on a Saturday. Waited in line for 30 minutes before the employee showed up to open the door for business and requested we provide him additional time to get things together, with not even an apology to the people who were there waiting. Lack of manners and poor training.
It’s 9:06 on Monday morning and they are not open! What’s the use of having hours that start at 8:30am if they can randomly not be open. I scheduled my day around this stop and now I have to adjust everything because they can open when their hours say they will be here.
My girlfriend went to get a form notarized, there was a misunderstanding on our end about coming in with the forms filled out and signed. The notary, told her that she had incorrectly signed the forms before she came in. The simple solution to this would be to have us re-print the form and do it correctly. The issue is the attitude the notary had with her. People make mistakes but things like this are never difficult to solve. The attitude displayed in the quick course of 3-5 minutes is absolutely insane.Ive worked customer service in the past and no matter how bad my day was or how much I disliked my job I knew not to take it out on the customer especially if they didnt deserve it.This notary could have easily explained in a patient way that he has to witness the signatures and whatever else to get the job done. Weve gone to other UPS stores and never had an issue even if we made a mistake on our end.
Don’t drop off returns here: they’ll never make it back. I dropped off two packages and they never got scanned in (they still show as UPS awaiting pickup). I have the receipts, but the seller doesn’t care (they just need the packages back), so now I’ve lost that money.
Gone here to pick up and drop off packages many times. Its always one guy working there solo and running it like a well oiled machine. Long line, no worries. Everyone seems to get taken care of promptly. Its like that Bugs Bunny cartoon where he plays all the positions in a baseball game but instead of Bugs Bunny, its a cute Asian guy.
Great place great service. I went in there to make some urgent copies from my email and I was helped immediately by two excellent ups workers by the names of Luis M and rokshana P. They were on fire as they helped me out led me to the computer and basically the only work I had to do was put in my password to access my account. They retrieved my copies and inserted it into a official folder making my work look presentable and professional. To add to their customer service skills the folder that they gave me was so key because it protected my documents from thr rain that started pouring just when I walked out. Good job guys and excellent service. You have a customer for life.
Waited until 15 minutes past opening time to drop off returns and no one showed up. someone needs to do a management check on this place. very unprofessional. also tried calling an hour later to see if someone’s there so i won’t have to walk back and forth but seems like they were still closed.

2022-06-29Ive never had a problem here honestly. You go in, come out. Takes me under a minute to get what I came for. But they do need to stick to their hours. It says theyre open at 8:30 on weekdays, but they would still be closed sometimes. But other than that, everyone is friendly

2022-07-13Rude employee, was eating and drinking and acted like I interrupted his day as the only person there- wouldn’t print a UPS prepaid label unless I paid to rent their computer and logged into my own email. Don’t waste your time. Go anywhere else.

2022-03-11Unfortunately, 0 stars isnt an option. A package for me was dropped off here to be delivered overnight. It was costly for me and showed up a day late. When I called the store to ask for at least a partial refund (the difference between 2 day shipping and overnight), I was told a check would be sent, but UPS corporate ended up calling the next day denying the refund for unforeseen weather issues. When I asked where and when the weather issues occurred, I was given the city and time, but based on weather records, and firsthand accounts of friends who actually live there, it was clear there were no issues. It was around 70 degree F with clear skies. UPS ended up giving me the names of a few other cities, but again, no weather issues occurred on that same date and time in any of those places. One I reached a manager, they lied and said it wasnt actually weather issues at all and suggested a facility inspection could have caused the issue. I asked her why multiple other agents would say it was weather, and they said the system had the wrong information. I didnt believe any of it, but even if the inspection reason was true, facility inspections are anticipated company costs that should not be the passed off to the customer and doesnt belong on a list of things that cant be helped by UPS. Weather could have been a legitimate example of something UPS cant help, but they should make sure there are actual weather issues there before lying about it. For me, it was clear UPS customer service and managers were going to just come up with more lies, and after dealing with the issue for several hours, I gave up. After some research, it looks like UPS has been sued many times before for promising overnight shipping while knowing overnight systems were non-operational, and they have encouraged employees to lie for the company, take overnight shipping money, knowing they are not authorized to refund at all, hoping that customers wont ask questions. I will never be shipping through UPS again because of this. Horrible customer service and company.

2021-12-20Very friendly (and they often have reasons not to be) and hard working staff. They painstakingly helped me pack 14 different boxes that were to be shipped to my employees and clients and were patient and helpful in suggesting solutions to problems that arose. They even gave me a call 30 minutes after I left the store to inform me that one of my boxes seemed to be missing a mug (recognizing I intended each of my employees packages to include a mug and cared enough to let me know) and gave me the opportunity to come back before they finished up to ensure my employee would receive each item as intended. Much appreciated!

2022-02-11I agree with every negative review listed so far. The lady is rude the guy with the locs is rude. I went one day they were closing at a time that was not posted & the lady got an attitude because I didnt know that they were closing. I went another time there were 2 ppl inside the lady said w/ an attitude 2 ppl at a time again no sign posted. I went another time, there was a sign on the door that said Be right back 10 min I waited 12mins no one ever came back. UPS I hope you read these comments & take action. This location is the worse. Whoever runs this location obviously doesnt care as things havent improved.

2021-08-10I love the UPS Store especially this one. The UPS store does so much all under one roof. And in this store the staff are so professional, so efficient, so friendly. And they take their time to go above and beyond if you need assistance especially with printing and downloading. They have always made my life so easier everytime I thought that I was about to get frustrated with downloading something to get it printed. I dont know if I would get the same assistance elsewhere. They are just so awesome and I highly recommend the UPS store especially this one if it is convenient. I travel from Far Rockaway to this one because I just love the service that I always receive...

2021-12-06Very Rude Staff!! I stopped by at 11am when they WERE SUPPOSED TO BE OPEN. The store was closed so I left and called 10 mins later rather than returning to see if they were open. I asked the woman eho answered if they were open and her response was I answered didnt I obviously were open I told her she was being rude I asked a simple question as they were closed earlier and she responded I dont have time for this and hung up on me. Absolutely disgusting. Stay away.

2021-12-17Laminator is broken, and its almost comical that theres no apparent fix in sight. Their laminator is smoking. I just cant believe no initiative is being taken to get these services up and running properly.
