WORST OF THE WORST. PLEASE AOVID THIS UPS IF YOU DONT WANT TO RUIN YOUR DAY. I RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM AMAZON SAYING THAT THEY DIDNT RECEIVE MY RETURNED ITEM THAT I DROPPED OFF AT THIS UPS AND THEY ARE GOING TO CHARGE ME IF I DONT SEND IT IN TWO WEEKS. I SENT MY ORDER FROM THIS UPS MORE THAN A MONTH AGO AND THERE IS NO WAY TO SEND IT AGAIN. WHEN I WAS THERE, SHE WAS SUPER RUDE, WITH LONG LONG LONG NAILS (I DONT KNOW HOW SHE CAN EVEN TYPE), AND NO PROFESSIOANALISM AT ALL. PLEASE HIRE JUST NORMAL PEOPLE WITH BRAINS. IS IT THAT HARD? IS IT A POSITION TO REQUIRE LOTS OF SKILLS? UNBELIEVABLE!
You can count on getting terrible service and paying a lot for it… they seem to only hire rude employees who deliberately do spelling errors in address (do not know why but make sure to read it over). But… at least it’s just as bad at all other UPS stores in the area. So you might as well go there.
The guys working here are awesome. I put the wrong address down on my shipment and lost my receipt.UPS national customer service is an absolutely dumpster fire run by robots, leaving me with the store I shipped from for help. Ended up calling back to this store and we got it right, they even called back to confirm they got my package intercepted and label fixed. Above and beyond service.
Very poor service. The female clerk working on 12/17/2021 evening shift before closing had no patience to the customer and the attitude is the rudest in all UPS stores I ever encountered. She rolled her eyes to the customers, walked away when she was not satisfied with the delay of the action of her customers, threw the goods that was about to be shipped into the bag without carefully take care of them. Her qualification for being a UPS staff need to be re-evaluated by the supervisor and the company.
Completely unacceptable customer service from the woman working on Sunday October 17 2021 at 1145am. I came in with an Amazon return and she said the box needed to be sealed and I needed to buy a $5 roll of packing tape. I asked if she could seal it for me with the roll that she had open a few inches from my box. She said no, I needed to spend $5 on a new roll. I used a piece of tape that was inside the box to seal it and asked her to take it now that it was sealed (and it was sealed well). She said that she refused to accept it because I had not purchased packing tape to seal it and I could take it to another UPS store to return. I walked to the 22nd and 2nd Ave location and he accepted it without question and was incredibly friendly. Completely unacceptable to be denied service for not purchasing a product.
The female employee throws your package into a box bin w/o any consideration of what is being mailed. I asked her politely to place my item into the bin and to not throw it. She was helping another customer so I walked out. As I looked back, she threw my items! Would not recommend this UPS, she needs to get fired!
I came with a pre-paid label for packing & shipping. I asked a question, but man did not seem to understand. The woman who came to help was standing ten feet away. With the radio blaring, I could not understand what she was saying. I asked for the radio to be turned off, and she just laughed! Go elsewhere. There is a UPS every few blocks, but FEDEX on 78th & Lex is my first choice. :)
The person who works here on Thursday mornings was so blatantly rude to me that I straight up had to leave and go to a different location. I couldn’t hear her under her mask so I asked her to repeat what she said and she REPEATED. HER. WORDS. LIKE. THIS. WITH. SO. MUCH. ATTITUDE. No thank you. I can’t even imagine how offended and hurt the people who have auditory processing disorders or hearing impairments are when they interact with her.
I rarely ever write reviews but the two women working at this store are so disrespectful and rude that I had to. I have asked to use their stapler to close off an amazon envelope and they said they wouldnt allow it. Amazon return instructions say sealed not taped. I understand that the location sells supplies as well but there is a nice way to inform customers about this. I have had similar rude responses from these same employees many times and not just about packaging supplies.
The worst. Unfortunately this is my local UPS and the women who work here are just the most disrespectful people Ive ever interacted with. Today, they tried to charge me $3.50 to print an Amazon return - no sympathy, understanding or alternative. Claimed it costs $2.50 for them to open it and $0.99 to print? I actually left, got it printed next door for 10 cents and returned. I understand this may be a policy to charge this but the attitude on top is really what this review is about. Eugh!!! Avoid if possible
I had a mailbox at the UPS Store at this address, 34 3rd Ave. I have been met with disrespectful and unprofessional treatment every single time I have visited. I will never send my packages to this UPS Store ever again, because the staff have been consistently rude to me. One of them threatened to punch me in the face tonight. This is ridiculous! If it wasnt because I had to receive some important mail, I would never sign up for any of their services. Dont waste your time at this location.
Ive been going to this location for years and never had an issue. They are always friendly. Its a small store with, sometimes, only one person at the counter and you may have to stand in line. Sometimes people have to stand in line. I see lots of complaints from people who have Amazon returns. If people dont have the time or patience for your Amazon return drop offs then use one of the other options Amazon provides, like an Amazon locker. Or, you know, shop in a local store. People have gotten so fragile that I think they would just fall apart if the internet disappeared and they had to go back to the way things were done before the year 2000.
The employees at this store are more concerned about what they had for dinner the previous night or what they are having for their lunch. Not helpful or customer oriented at all. Had to dropoff a couple of packages for Amazon return and they could not communicate properly and had some ridiculous policy where they had to repack the package even though it was in the same container it was shipped in from Amazon and charged $45 for material and labor. Total RIP off.
Store clerk Ms. Clara Sierra was rude and disrespectful showing her attitude while talking to me. She refused provide services because she did not feel comfortable. I never had any negative experience with UPS employees at other locations and its a shame that this single person stained the reputation of the company.
If I could give less than one star I would, the lady that attended me was the rudest and most disrespectful person I met in any store ever.As soon as I walked in I noticed she was giving attitude to the customers before me and nothing changed when it was my turn. And also I heard her talking about punching customers in the face, that shocked me (its not a dive bar) but then I red other reviews mentioning the same thing.I was there to return a pair of shoes to NIKE, free of cost of course, but she insisted that in order to seal the package I HAD TO BUY TAPE while she had a HUGE roll right next to her.I said nothing and I paid, even tho my disappointment and frustration was clear and when I left she reminded me with a little provocative smile that I forgotten the tape I just bought on the counter, when I answered that I never needed it so they can keep it, they (both) also laughed at me.THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.
I was pretty slow and hard to deal with today, but cashier was helpful and patient. Bring your own box if you can, because theyll always charge you an arm and a leg. Their printing service isnt too bad, though. Twenty cents a sheet of paper, which might sound like a lot, but its not. Ill come back.
These guys are the BEST. So friendly, so helpful. My job involves quite a bit of shipping and whether theyre just sealing a box for me because Ive run out of tape or helping me get something across the country in less than 12 hours - they make it happen. BEST UPS STORE IN MANHATTAN
I just had one of the worst experiences ever with a UPS delivery man to my office in the gramercy section of Manhattan today around 2:00pm. The delivery man refused to bring very heavy boxes to the back of our office after informing him that I was pregnant, and very obviously pregnant and could not carry it myself. I was extremely polite to him with my request. He then proceeded to yell at me in my crowded waiting room that he does not have to do me any favors and continued on berating me and being the rudest person I have ever come in contact with. His behavior was so outrageous that he upset children that were in the waiting room. I asked him what his name is and he informed me his name is Steven. Our normal delivery man is named Gil, and Gil is the nicest person and is very helpful and understanding that pregnant women cannot carry heavy boxes for reasons of safety. If you are unwilling to carry a box an extra 15 feet , then you can politely say no, there is no reason to be so nasty and yell in a crowded office, it is extremely unprofessional and someone with this attitude does not need to be in customer service.
Advertises itself as a notary. I have important documents I need notarized by tomorrow so I take a cab all the way over to this store just to catch it before it closes.Upon arrival, I’m informed they only do notary between 8 and 3. That’s incredibly deceptive business practices and thanks to their misrepresentation of services I was unable to get my documents notarized in time. Can’t wait for Amazon to run them out of business. This stuff is honestly criminal.

2022-07-21Convenient to print quickly, but pricey. I spent $20 to print 20 pages of 8x11 paper and spent 5 minutes on the computer. Just like other printing companies—they charge you to use their computer. The attendant was rude just like other reviewers said—I walked in and seemed disinterested in helping me. If you need a place to print asap and you have no other choice then come here. If you have time, you might want to go elsewhere.

2022-06-29I just had the strangest experience with the female employee working at 6:30pm on 6/29. She was doing several things at once (totally cool, I do that at work too) but I didn’t feel she wasn’t keeping track of which of my Amazon labels went with which bag. I voiced that concern since I had a couple hundred dollars worth of merchandise I was returning and wanted to be careful, other locations seem to label the bags right away, or at least lay the labels on the correct bags to come back to later. She screamed at me several times that it didn’t matter (maybe she’s right but honestly she lost all credibility when she lost it on me) and she refused to let me see the labels myself to see that the addresses were the same, she just kept screaming she was going to cancel the labels and I could go somewhere else but I didn’t need to seem them (she did eventually show me, but I’m still worried the barcodes should be associated with the individual items). I left feeling bullied into the decision to let her keep my stuff, but now I regret it and I’m worried my stuff will be messed up but I am not going back there ever again. I don’t understand why she refused to assign the correct label to the correct bag, it’s like once she knew that it was important to me she did everything she could to miss label them. It was truly the strangest, most aggressive interaction I’ve had with any store employee, I’m so confused what just happened

2022-06-11Avoid this location!!! Really bad experience 6/11/22. To the point that I have never written an online review before but feel compelled to. The woman working was extremely rude when I called in advance to ask a question because i was a carrying a very heavy package and the original location I went to had systems down. When I came in she rolled her eyes when I asked where to put the sticker she thrust at me and was unclear with her direction. She felt this was not her job and by my reaction, refused to send any of the other items I came in to return and told me to go somewhere else. Terrible customer service.

2022-06-12Like many others, I will say that I will avoid this store at all costs in the future. The woman behind the counter seemed beyond annoyed that I would dare to ask her to pack and ship something. As soon as I mentioned where it was going (International), she started throwing out high numbers in a way that made it clear she hoped the price would make me leave. She got even ruder when I said great, lets ship it. And of course, instead of packing it while I wasthere, she propped the very breakable items .precariously on a back counter, turned her back tonmeand started speaking to another customer to pmake it clear she was done with me. Had I not had my toddler in tow, I would have gone elsewhere, but I just needed to get this shipped. For the record, I had to pick up an item from the UPS Store on 14th and Union Square a day ago... and both the employees in that store were so delightful to work with. So if you need to use UPS, go there!

2022-07-15OMG! Its like a Saturday Night Live bit. The only way to garner any attention is to be texting the representative since they are glued to their phones even as they write up forms online...OK some people have the gift of mutitasking. I asked the front desk representative if I could have a tube shipped internationally. She said yes you could. I said Ok. She then said Do you want to ship this international? Huh? OK then I noticed that she was speaking to someone on her phone while questioning me in between pausing to have her conversation which seemed to be an interview for another job. I looked around and the place is a disorganized mess, and the other representative was on also texting on her phone. She then stopped taking my information and asked the other rep to cover for her as she needed a bathroom break...uh huh...the other rep rolled her eyes, and begrudgingly sauntered over, but a gentleman appeared from the back and took over. He was great and efficient and at least instilled a bit of confidence that my package would arrive at its destination. The other rep never came out of the bathroom. Avoid it at all costs.

2022-03-21WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Attendant was extremely rude and aggressive since I stepped into the store with large boxes to return to Amazon. She even threatened to call the cops on me in case I didn’t leave (which I refused to do). She kept looking for excuses to refuse my boxes and denied help altogether. Just bring your business somewhere else. That experience ruined my day!

2022-01-29First time I was there the clerk made me pay 25 dollars just to package a regular with a box size 15X15 box. Then second time went there with a box but without tape, asked the clerk for help with some tape. She responded that I will have to buy an overpriced whole round of tape if I want some tape. I the third time thought to myself, let me give them one more chance since it’s the closest to where I live, but this time they still disappoint me. I went in there bought a 10x10 box paid, paid the 5 dollar overpriced printing fee to print my own label. Went there with a tape gun ready to tape it up myself… Then the clerk that I have always encountered told me that I am not allowed to tape my package up in the store, she said not in my store, but you can take it outside. It was snowing today, and taping a package by my own on the far corner of the store will impact their service? I don’t really get why the customer doing all the work that they should provide. Called the customer service and got directed to the cooperate office phone line where only a robot is answering and hang up my call after providing no explanation or availability of agents. Really overpriced shipping and no customer service at all. The clerks at the counter were all chatting to each other, calling on the phone. Not mad here just totally dissatisfied with their service.

2022-01-22I’m not sure what kind of UPS store doesn’t except packages but I have found the only one. They refused to print a label for me because they were closing in 10 minutes. Which I attempted to argue “that means you’re still open”. I went to the UPS store on 3rd @ 26th they were lovely and accepted my package, even though they were closing too.
