If u want better prices in what u wanna eat for the day, week or month u should come to this supermarket for groceries that r sold low in prices.N the most important thing is these days, their stores r hardly crowded which is extremely gr8 news for those who dont wanna b around 2 many people..!!

The layout is a bit unusual and some products are limited in variety but overall it is a decent place to shop.

I have been a long time resident of Washington Heights and have seen the store that is currently being branded as Shop (and I double quote) Fair Supermarkets assume various different brand names. Previously the store had been named Bravo and IT was never worthy of applaud. The neighborhood locals and employees knew the place as Umbertos (the owners name). I am unaware of the change of power and current owners name now however the Store retains its poor and pitiful reputation for providing very little in terms of customer service and quality of merchandise and not to mention value. Im sure the owners will shout that rent the rent is high and that they sell their products at a fair market rate, from a poor neighborhood consumers point of view....they can do better!, they could do more to offer a broad selection of products that meet the needs a growing and changing neighborhood demography. Unfortunately, the store is one of a few Supermarkets serving an overpopulated neighborhood and the residents simply have no other choice but to shop there. The place is old and doesnt look too clean it is in desperate need of renovation and THAT should be the responsibility of the OWNER of the property. Shame on you. The people deserve better and if you have the means.....shop elsewhere!

This supermarket sells rotten fruits and wont allow u to return them so if u dont have the need for something else they insist that u replace it with something else I dont want I have bought milk only to find out that its expired theyre very rude and unprofessional they need to go back to school.
