Excellent experience from start to finish. Emmett Cook was extremely helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Very accommodating. Not only did your dealership have exactly the vehicle I was looking for, you presented and delivered it seamlessly. I live 2.5 hours away, and found the drive to be totally worth the experience. I will highly recommend your business to my friends in the market.
Dealership service was awesome - I am however disappointed in the fact my vehicle with only 40,000 miles had yet another electrical problem - 2 months ago s bad plug wire ( never heard of a plug wire going bad ) and this time trailer wiring was corroded and shorted. Not good.
Derrick Thomas was amazing and patient with us while we made our decision. He took the time to explain everything to us in detail and helped us weigh our options. He was kind and efficient and we are extremely happy with our decision to buy another vehicle with Simmons-Rockwell. We will continue to come to this location for our future car buying needs. Thanks again, Derrick, for all your help.
Had a great buying experience with Eric and sales manager Alfred. They were quick to respond to all of my questions and put together numbers for me quickly and everything was quick and easy when came to pick it up. The dealership was very nice and clean and everyone was very friendly and not pushy. This is the perfect truck for my business! Thanks guys very happy with my buying experience!
Worst dealership by far. Salesman swore up and down warranty covers everything other then brakes and oil changes. I have a 2017 Ford Explorer I purchased from them only 3 months ago and they’re asking 800 for the fix after their salesman said everything was covered. I then call the shop to talk to the manager Jim who tells me he can help me with the cost of the repair and to contact the warranty company to get it towed over. I contact the warranty company (worst warranty ever) to get it towed, they don’t tow dealership to dealership so I have to go push the car into the street to wait for the tow truck. Then I call Jim back to let him know the tow truck is going to be on its way to me in an hour and he acts all confused like we didn’t just talk about it. Then he goes on to say i have to pay his guys to look at the car after I already had it diagnosed at ford Worst experience ever. 0 stars would not recommend to anyone.
2 Plus weeks ago I spoke to a salesman regarding a vechile I was very interested in. I provided him with my number and contact information. He said he would update me, so far I have heard nothing from him. I also noticed, as myself and a few other customers were looking at vechiles, some of the staff remained in a off area smokeing and visiting. Perhaps additional training is in order for their salespeople.
This is the first car I have purchased from Simmons Rockwell but probably not the last. Eric my sales person went above and beyond to make sure he found me the perfect car and kept me informed the entire time. I have purchased many new cars over the years, but this has been one of the ones were everything was done to perfection. I have never had a dealership be so efficient.
Simmons Rockwell has gotten very complacent on customer service, and does not appreciate the customer, a very dry sterile environment not inviting at all. Have bought multiple cars from Simmons Rockwell and in latest car shopping was treated like a number rather than a loyal customer. I told them I did not need financing nd was told we would rather have cars financed cause they make more money from different agreements with different companies. Ended up going to Chilson Wilcox a smaller dealer and was made to feel way more important than we sell thousands of cars so 1 person doesnt really matter but to me as a consumer I do matter and they should get more people oriented then be complacent where they are now.
UPDATE: they did call me to discuss and see if they can rectify the situation. Thank you for reaching out.Bought a new Ford in may from the bath, by location. Honestly my worst car buying experience. Did all of the negotiating over the phone and email due to COVID-19. They told me to come on Saturday at 2pm to pick up my car and sign the papers. Drove 1.5 hours away from my home specifically to do business with Simmons and was told we had to wait when we got there. Waited 2.5 hours for them to rush us through paperwork which ended up being incorrect anyway. They never once offered us water or a warm, dry place to sit as it was raining outside. They never once apologized for the delay and as a matter of fact were quite rude. They messed up the payoff amount and our financing. That was a nightmare to fix and was met with rudeness. Then 4 months later I go to renew my registration and find out they never registered the vehicle correctly. Thank god for the woman in the PA location who was able to help correct it and get it straightened out. I love my new car and glad I was able to get a deal through ford but will never do business with Simmons again. I’ll pay more at Williams to know it’s done right.
The salesman was friendly, funny, very informative and not high pressure. This included long test drives of multiple vehicles until we were satisfied with our choice of vehicle. Simmons Rockwell handled the sale completely in one day including a trade in, insurance transfer, registration transfer with a permanent registration. My wife and I enjoyed the experience and would not hesitate to deal with Simmons Rockwell in the future.
Buying a new car is sometimes overwhelming to say the least, however at your Bath, NY location I was completely at ease! Eric Smith helped make my purchase stress free and smooth! I would also like to say you have two valuable assets with Eric Smith and Alfred Wilcox, they both did a fantastic job! Alfred made the magic happen with my financing and really made sure my payment landed in my comfort zone!! I will most certainly be back again. Thank you Eric and Alfred.Sincerely,Tina Breon
This is the second time leasing a vehicle from Simmons Rockwell and my last. The first vehicle was Ford F-150 that would not start the third day after I got it. It needed towed to a dealership and Ford as well as Simmons Rockwell were less than helpful. I leased my second truck Nov. 7 2020. The salesman was friendly enough but I felt rushed into a decision. My paperwork was a mess. I received a call from Ford on 12/07/2020, they were wondering where their truck was since my lease with them had ended on 11/07/2020 . On top of that, I also received a call from the Chrysler Corp. on 12/08/2020 because they had not received a payment from me yet, I explained that I had not received any information from them in order to pay them, even after I had made numerous calls to them in an attempt to get account information. After some research, it was discovered the paperwork had JUST been submitted to them on 12/06/2020. A month after the transaction had taken place!! UNACCEPTABLE!! This error may not have affected Simmons Rockwell in any way but it definitely reflected poorly on me!! I am not impressed with the customer service experience at Simmons Rockwell. Their prices are hard to beat, but customer service is what will bring customers back. I suggest they make that a priority!12/23/2020 update to this reviewIn the days since I posted this review, I have also received an Odometer Disclosure Statement from Ford Credit. stating they have not received a completed odometer disclosure statement from previously leased vehicle. BECAUSE WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE REQUIRED DOCUMENT OR THE DOCUMENT RECEIVED FROM THE DEALERSHIP WAS INCOMPLETE, WE ARE REQUESTING THE ENCLOSED FORM BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED. FAILURE TO COMPLETE THIS OR PROVIDING FALSE INFORMATION MAY RESULT IN FINES OR PENALTIESSo, I may be fined or penalized because the dealership that I PAY to handle these things dropped the ball AGAIN! I returned that truck on 11/07/2020. Today is 12/23/2020 and yet I am to provide an accurate odometer reading! How is that possible? I dont know if they drove that truck to get it inspected or what happened to it after I left it on their lot, yet their irresponsible behavior reflects back onto me ....once again.Simmons Rockwell, I highly suggest you take better pride in your quality of service. If I could remove that last star and make it a completely negative review, I would!
A big thank you goes out to Kyle for his attention to detail and going above and beyond to find me the car of my dreams. Even though the sales manager and I could not agree on a price and I had to walk away, everyone was kind and respectful. When a woman buys a car, it is difficult to trust that the sales rep will treat her with respect. Thank you Kyle for being so courteous, attentive and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Sommons Rockwell in Bath if you want choice and care in the same location.
TTHE EAM REPAIRED THE 2.4LITERS CAM CHAIN FOR THE SECOND TIME IN 30K MILES...THE FIRST TIME WAS COMPLETED AT 50K MILES AND THIS TIME AT 80K MILES...NOW WE MUST RETHINK OUR GOAL TO KEEP THIS EQUINOX FOR 150 -200K MILES....RELIABILITY IS IN QUESTION NOW...MY CONCERNS ARE OVERWHELMING ...EVERY VEHICLE THAT I HAVE OWNED IN THE PAST 40 YEARS (STARTING IN 81 W/AMC SPIRIT)HAVE EXCEEDED 140K MILES W/O A BREAKDOWN....EVEN MY FORD PINTO WAS MORE RELIABLE...NO EXCUSE FOR THIS ISSUE.
Mr Smith and Mr Wilcox helped remove the stigma of car salesman from my experiences when I purchased my truck. The were geniunely professional and friendly. The Parts & Service departments are equally knowledgeable & professional for installation and a check engine issue. I will continue to have service done with them all.
This is my 4 vehicle in the past 5 years Ive purchase from Simmons and Rockwell in Bath and as always Paul Parshall took great care of me! Larry and Alfred were great as well. I highly recommend anyone looking for an easy and fair buying experience to deal with the guys in the Chevy building in Bath!!!
Very good first impression. Today I got the oil changed and the tires rotated. The service was friendly, courteous, and professional. The price was better than where I had been taking my vehicle and that didnt include the tire rotation. Definately will be utilizing them again.
We were referred to Simmons Rockwell by a local mechanic who performed life-saving measures on our car halfway through a 300 mile trip.We we needed a new ride to get us the rest of the way home.Emmett was great. He showed us only the type of vehicles we were interested in and the price range we had in mind.We ended up with a newer vehicle than we thought we could afford. He handled all the paperwork and had the car detailed and inspected while we charged our phones and enjoyed free WiFi.We had a pleasant and uneventful drive and were back home by the end of the day.
Our entire experience was wonderful! We needed to buy a vehicle very quickly (within 24 hours). Josh was very patient and knowledgeable. He was approachable and kind. He did not hesitate to pick up the phone to see if he could get one of the cars we were interested in, delivered to the Bath location for us to check it out (even though it was early evening, at that point). It arrived the next morning right on schedule. Btw, the gentleman who dropped it off was very pleasant, as well. We are very satisfied with our car buying experience. The salesperson makes or breaks a deal. We feel very fortunate to have crossed paths with Josh.Kind regards,Eric SweetEmily Whitmire
Will sell you a beat up/half fixed vehicle above Kelly blue book value, then try to get you to pay for a service plan that they don’t seem to have any desire to honor. We were told our vehicle was still in the manufacturers warranty And that they didn’t need to fix it despite our purchase of a service plan with them. Please read the negative reviews about this location.
Last Friday I set up an appointment to test drive a 2019 Ford F-150 for 4:30 that afternoon via the Simmons Rockwell website. Very easy to do. About an hour or two later I got an e-mail from the salesman, who I believe was named Charlie Runyan. Charlie told me the vehicle isnt available that afternoon because he has it in transit to his location. I could have just as easily gone to the Hornell location where it was, but Charlie gets paid if I buy it from him, not some guy in Hornell, so I get that. We reschedule for Saturday at 11AM, not as convenient (middle of the day and all), but what have you. Saturday, about 5 minutes before I am going to head out the door to Simmons Rockwell Bath, I get an e-mail from Charlie. He cant find the truck, somehow he lost the truck overnight even though he had it in transit the previous afternoon. He tells me it is possible the truck was sold without his knowledge, and that he would call me back when he had found the truck. He didnt call me back. About an hour or two later, my wife called Simmons Rockwell and spoke with someone else in sales who determined in about 15-30 minutes that the truck in question had been transported to their Hallstead PA location. Monday comes around, and they get the truck back to NY and my wife goes to take it for a test drive for me while Im at work. She didnt even have to get into the truck to know it was all a waste of our time as it reeked of cigarette smoke. That is the story of how I had my time wasted and was lied to by Simmons Rockwell sales staff and will recommend to any who are looking for a vehicle to look elsewhere.
My car was towed to you because brake booster was bad and had an electrical problem. To recreate problem they sped down thr road, the brakes have out and technicians had to stop by using emergency brake. Service ruined a rotor, possible damage to my emergency brake and now my car pulls to the right. When I came to pick it up I was told it had to be towed. That the steering wheel shook out of control. Not be for I brought car to you Showed me rotor. Was destroyed. Was not like that when dropped off. Had to buy a rotor to get home. Workers very rude. I drove it home. When we removed the tire from the rotor you installed, caliper was loose. Could move with my hands. Shoddy service and people skills. I expect something to be done about this. And I expect you to realign my car and check my emergency brake. If I don’t get results, I will be contacting the bbb
I just bought a new vehicle at Simmons Rockwell in Bath, NY and everything went smooth. Nick Digati was our sales professional. He did an excellent job and went above and beyond for me. He was was upfront, honest and did not push anything. Simmons Rockwell has multiple locations and a very large inventory at good prices. I do suggest that if you have a specific vehicle in mind that you make sure it is at the right location for viewing before you show up. I highly recommend Nick Digati. He was the best and very patient as I looked everything over with my clipboard in hand. Thank you Nick for a great car buying experience. Ryan K.
Saw this truck online with the price and rebates and incentives the local dealer doesnt do and it fit into my budget, with the options I wanted. It was a farther distance away about 80 miles but I believe it was well worth it. My salesman was Matt Feenaughty and he was knowledgeable of the product, and low keyed, not the pushy type like you see at other dealers. I have sold cars in the past and do my researh before I make major purchases and feel like I have gotten a good deal at Simmons-Rockwell in Bath NY. Thanks to Matt and his managers at the dealership.
We live up 390 about an hour from the Bath complex. Tyler did us a huge favor and set aside the only 2016 Jeep Cherokee on the lot for a whole day so that we could make it down after work to purchase the car. The car-buying experience itself felt so much less stressful, with so much less pressure to buy than what we experienced at other area dealers. I was thrilled with the experience, the service, the communication, and the product. Im very excited to have purchased my vehicle through Simmons-Rockwell and will very likely return to purchase my next vehicle (but hopefully not for a very long time). Thank you guys
This is the second vehicle I have bought from Simmons Rockwell this year. Many others in the past as well. I do not go anywhere else for my car buying needs because I am confident that the service I receive at Simmons Rockwell in Bath NY is the best service possible in the auto industry. The facilities are top notch and the sales team treats customers with integrity and a desire to not only sell a car but meet all your needs in the process. I especially appreciate the treatment shown by the Sales Manager Larry Feenaughty. He truly went above and beyond with this purchase. I had my mind set on a truck and after a few minutes of talking with him he was able to convince me that the value I was getting in the new Ram 1500 far surpassed the other options I was considering. Thank you Larry. Your service department is amazing and the technicians are a pleasure to talk with. You will earn my business again shortly!
Knew of and needed a recall service done. When I got there I found out from the Service person that I needed a second recall service as well. Both of them were completed in the time the Service person said it would take to do just the one. Outstanding! Nice short visit and without issues. I LIKE IT!
The salesperson we worked with, Kyle, was very helpful and friendly. The team at Simmons Rockwell was able to get us in to the vehicle we wanted with a deal we are happy with. Best experience Ive ever had car shopping. We love our new Silverado and couldnt be happier. Will definitely be back for our next vehicle. We will also recommend Simmons Rockwell to anyone looking for a new vehicle.
I brought in our leased 2016 Ford Edge for an oil change, NYS Inspection and a 10,000 mile service check-up. Originally when I had made the appointment, I had only mentioned the first two items, but after checking recent mailings from SR, I discovered that the last one was coming up and asked if that was possible and was told that not only was it all right, the counter person (I apologize that I cannot remember his name!) said that there was a coupon available and he could apply it to the eventual cost/charge.Check-in was extremely smooth and I was directed to the waiting area at the Bath Ford Dealer. I was able to see my vehicle being serviced through the window at the back of the waiting area, and it was gotten to in a timely manner and surprisingly I was back in my vehicle with everything completed in under an hour. Very prompt service! The results were explained to me in detail and I was very pleased with my experience at Simmons-Rockwell.My wife and I have been leasing vehicles through your dealership since 2003, and look forward to many more transactions in the future. Keep up the good work!
Positive- excellent inventory at low prices. Worth my drive from Rochester. Not pushy.Negative- my salesman was so kind, he seemed to lack initiative. I requested to view 2 vehicles. One sold before I arrived... I would have liked him to tell me in advance and/or be prepared with comparable options.I left quite pleased (with the car I had inquired about).
Yesterday I took a day off from work and headed from North Rose (a mile or so off Lake Ontario, halfway between Rochester and Syracuse) to Bath, NY. Beautiful scenic ride. My mother and I arrived at the dealership and I was amazed at the huge lot of cars. More amazing were the prices! I was like a kid in a candy store. We were greeted by Joel who walked us through the lot and showed us several nice vehicles. I had joined a carpool and needed something roomy but with good fuel economy. After test-driving a few vehicles, I decided on a beautiful Nissan Altima. I never expected to get a 2014 vehicle with low mileage for $13,999. I was shocked because I went to several dealers and could not find anything with low mileage for such a good price. The salespeople always tried to push me to vehicles that were out of my price range and were sometimes very rude. Joel was patient and very knowledgeable. The car-buying process which I usually dread, was very pleasant and I will definitely go to Simmons-Rockwell for my next vehicle. The salespeople, parts and service staff were friendly and made us feel welcome which is a refreshing change from the usual sheisterism you find from a car dealership.
I went in looking to get out of my lease I had purchased at Friendly Ford Geneva, NY. I have been to Friendly Dodge Penn Yan, Worse experience ever! Friendly Ford Geneva, awful! and Shepard Ford Canandaigua, I love this place for purchasing new vehicles! However this time I was looking to buy a used and my salesmen at Shepard no longer works there. At Simmons I was able to walk the lot without being hounded by sales men until I was ready. I test drove the ones I liked and was able to get in an out within only a few hours. I dread going to dealerships because of the pressure the sales men put on you and the amount of time it takes just to run numbers and get a vehicle I like. That was not the case at Simmons. I was able to drive away in my new Escape, happy with the price, quality and service provided. I will be making my future purchases at Simmons
Complete disappointment. Stranded 4 hours from home with a transmission problem. Stopped in hoping for some help, was told a definite NO. Asked if someone could just look at our truck to help us told no earliest we could be seen was 9/17, its 9/7 and stuck 4 hours from home. Pleaded and told NO. Called another dealer 1/2 away and was told to come right in!! They looked at our truck fixed one issue but found another. They didnt want us to be stranded and gave us a loaner to use to get home. They could not have been nicer! Drive the extra 1/2 and go see them at Friendlys Dodge!!
Youre treated like their best friend until you drive away. For six months and numerous phone calls and messages to sales person and management, we tried to get them to cancel the extended warranty on our trade so we could get some of our money back. Finally got a response when I posted on our sales persons fb page after he ignored my last message, after which time he blocked me. Never again!
We purchased our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan at Simmons Rockwell of Bath, NY, due to the advertised price being lower for this previous rental unit there, than the surrounding area. Another factor would be the low key salesman and his patience over several days of our indecision as we pondered spending the money and even which color. Ask for Matt F.You may also wonder about their repair service. We have taken our our other Dodge vehicles to the service area and have always been pleased with the repairs and their fair costs of the repairs.Further note- they also contribute donations to many area events, which means a lot to me.
The Service Dept. is Efficient and Effective! They are very police, professional, and friendly. I didnt have to wait for an appointment. The Waiting Area is CLEAN, technology available (laptops), child play area separate from adult area, and comfortable. I was remembered from my last appointment, that was cool. Thanks!
Our salesperson, Pete Blodgett, was terrific. We visited the dealer with two specific 2017 program used vehicles in mind. We did a test drive in examples of both vehicles. Pete then showed us a recent 2018 Chevrolet Equinox that was a private trade-in and we did a test drive of that. My wife and I agreed that the Equinox was the best in terms of what we were looking for. Pete then explained that a new 2018 Equinox had several promotional discounts that we would qualify for. He showed us all of the examples of the new model on the lot, even taking us to the recent deliveries not on the inventory, in case one of the colors was more attractive to us. Without any pressure from Pete, we realized that a new 2018 was the better purchase for us and that is what we bought. It was one of the best experiences I have had in buying vehicles from a dealer, over a 20 year period. Having nothing to do with Pete, the first program vehicle that we chose to test drive had a very dirty interior, with cleanable dirt and stains on the carpet and upholstery. Somebody needs to do better in inspecting these vehicles.
I purchased a 2014 Ford Focus from the bath location. Derrick Thomas was our salesman and he was super helpful. He was honest, he knew his goal and his audience when speaking. I love my new car and I love the rate he was able to get for us. Simmons and Rockwell is the dealership my fiances family use and I will continue to refer my peers to them as well!
I had an excellent experience buying my 2013 Dodge Avenger. My van had died and I had to buy a car six-months sooner than I was planning. I was very stressed about buying a car. Harley and Jake were wonderful. Harley had me approved before I drove to Bath. He explained how I could buy a new car for the same price as the used cars I was looking at due to the difference in interest rates and manufacturers incentives. I arrived at 3 p.m. and left at 7:30 p.m. with a brand new car. Both gentleman were wonderful, professional and kind. I always buy from Simons Rockwell and most of my extended family do also. It is worth the drive from Avon to Bath to deal with such wonderful professionals.
When I walked into the Ford showroom on 1/22/15, I had never had the experience of purchasing a car, not to mention I didnt even know if I had the credit to purchase a car or lease a car. I was introduced to Tyler Digati and he was great from the very beginning. He sat down with me and listened to my wants and needs in a new car. After he meet with Steve Mansfield, they both came out and laid out the different options that I had available and assured me that they would do everything that they could to get me a car. I walked out of the showroom that day agreeing to purchase a 2013 Ford Focus Hatchback! I came in the next day and signed all of the remaining paperwork to find out that they not only go me the Autosaver for free, but that they managed to lower my monthly payments AND lower my interest rate! I walked out of there that night with the keys to my new car!I can say that I definitely had my reservations about Simmons and Rockwell, living in such a small town people talk and more often than not they are bad mouthing. After the past 2 days that I have spent with Simmons and Rockwell, I can definitely say that I will be returning and recommending all of my friends. Tyler did a fantastic job walking me through the process, explaining everything, he even paired my phone up with my car before I drove away! I am very thank for the entire staff at Simmons and Rockwell, specifically Tyler for being so patient and helpful through the quick and painless process!
I purchased a 2015 Chrysler Town and Country. Very professional and friendly staff. My salesman Paul Parshall was awesome! Very dedicated to helping to get me the best deal and make sure I was completely satisfied with their service. Highly recommend Simmons Rockwell and Paul!!
I had n appointment to have my truck aligned , tps sensor fixed ,upon getting there they tell me the alignment machine broke a couple of days ago & wont be fixed until the latter part of next week. I had just put new tires on due to tire wear from alignment problems . Had I been notified I would have made n appointment elsewhere so as not to put excessive wear on my new tires. NOT What I would call GOOD Customer service !!!!
The Chevy service department has always been professional and very accommodating. Never had a bad experience. The service was on my 2012 Cruze. While I was there, I wandered around and looked at the new models. Selected some literature on the new models. I returned about a week later to test drive. I went straight to the service department. I wanted Jason to recommend a sales person. He was able to introduce me to Nick D. I test drove a couple new Cruzes. Still apprehensive, I returned the following day and test drove a couple more. Returned the third day and secured the Cruze. The service department did an absolute wonderful job at getting the 2018 ready for me to take home that day. Not expecting to bring the new car home that day, I did not bring an additional person. Now i had 2 cars at the dealership. The sales department offered to deliver the car once the service department was done with it. Completely satisfied customer! Thank you!
I recently leased a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee through Simmons-Rockwell of Bath. I turned in my current lease for the new lease. My experience with Simmons-Rockwell was excellent, excellent, excellent. My sales professional was Matt, who was professional, very helpful, knowledgeable, and non-pushy. My experience with Larry, the sales manager, was the same as my experience with Matt. My spouse will be purchasing his next car through Matt at Simmons-rockwell. Great job guys!
Cant get much better. I informed the dealership of my break light problem and it was reviewed on the spot. An appointment was scheduled to replace the light. The best part was I drove up to the service bay, door opens up, I go in and have a cup of coffee, 20 minutes later I drive out. What more can I ask for? Lincoln even paid the bill because it was a faulty light on their behalf. This is my second vehicle with them and it wont be my last.
Worst experience, could not buy , or put deposit on vehicle we wanted, over the phone no haggling just wanted to buy ,went through process ,agree on price, credit check ,still wanted us to drive 4 hrs for a test drive. Will drive 4 hrs to pi ck up vehicle .very disappointed!!
Excellent recent buying experience of a 15 Ford F-150 at Simmons Rockwell. I started looking at vehicles they had online before putting in a contact on multiple vehicles I liked. Tyler Petrie contacted me right away and he assisted me throughout my entire buying process. He was very patient and professional as I requested pictures of multiple vehicles. He did not pressure me into choosing a truck, but continued finding trucks that fit my specs. I would definitely shop at Simmons Rockwell again!!
Worst dealership. Its not close to where I love so I contacted the dealership before driving the hour plus (so as not to waste time). The dealer I had been talking to had no idea who I was. They offer crap for trade ins and the dealer (Kevin) didnt even try to sell me a car. They just told me that for the car I was looking at it would be a $400 payment and that nothing else could be done or talked about. This was all in the first 30 minutes there. I wasnt shown any of their other cheaper cars and was basically treated like a second class citizen. So it was a huge waste of time but I ended up going to Ken Barrett dealership in Batavia and had the best experience so it all worked out in the end. I would never recommend this place to anyone not even an enemy.
So I went to there today to test drive a truck I was going to pay cash with and they told me I have to get pre approved for it. The service I got totally sucked. I have an appointment for Monday at Ferrario Ford on the Miracle Mile. I get to test drive the truck I maybe buying if I like the way it handles. So Simons and Rockwell lost my business.
The first vehicle we purchased from Simmons-Rockwell we were bait and switched twice. The vehicle we were switched into had more mileage and less features and mechanical issues. Unfortunately we didnt learn from our mistake and have recently (within the past two months) purchased a new jeep. The windshield wasnt installed properly and water has been leaking into the car and directly on the computer. They refuse to look at our car for at least another week. It is raining outside and water continues to leak into the car. These people couldnt care less. Im currently looking into the NY new car lemon law and will probably look to return. Stay Away!
I first went to Simmons Rockwell in Big Flats and found a used but new 2014 Chevy Cruze LT with 9,000 miles on it. It was a previous rental car. My wife and I fell in love with it and asked the salesmen about it. After he checked and looked at are credit score he said the only thing he could do was put us in a older vehicle with more miles. Discouraged we left and went home. My uncle then took us to your Bath location the next day and talked to Emmett Cook , who he has bought all his vehicles threw. Emmit said right away I can get you in a brand new Cruze with the payments you are looking for. He was more then helpful showing us a few different color choices we went with the white one. Emmit was very professional and helpful along with everyone at the Bath location. I will purchase all my cars from now on threw him. Thank you.
We were looking for a new vehicle big enough for our kids, some friends, and our two BIG dogs. Brian Mattison was extremely helpful in finding us our new GMC Yukon XL. We had an excellent experience with Brian, and Simmons-Rockwell. I can guarantee we will be recommending our friends, and will be back for our next purchase.
Will Nunn and the Chevy boys consistently go above and beyond!! Im never disappointed and Id never go anywhere else to have my car serviced. I cant thank them enough for everything they do for me! Always thinking about the safety of me and my daughter. Thanks guys!!!!
I contacted Simmons and Rockwell in hopes of trading in my soon to end lease and buy a used car. I talked with Tyler Petrie and set up an appointment to come check out what you had to offer. Throughout the week Tyler kept me informed as to what was available and sent me pictures. By the time I got there, I knew what to expect and was very happy with the result. My wife and I ended up buying a 2012 Chevy Cruze RS and cant be happier with it. This is the second car we have bought from Simmons and Rockwell and we will definitely be back to purchase a 3rd in the future. Tyler Petrie was fantastic with everything. I will most certainly recommend Simmons and Rockwell to anybody interested in buying a car. Thank you!!-Kyle Norris
I purchased my 5th vehicle from Simmons-Rockwell. My first vehicle was purchased in 2002. I love the service, the no dicker sticker and the large inventory of low mileage used vehicles to choose from. I worked with Jim Hennessey. He went out of his way to help me secure the vehicle and price range that I was looking for. I would work with Jim again.
Bought a used 08 Trailblazer in 2011, had an issue w/traction control from day 1. After 4 months of excusses, service department said it was not covered by the xtended warranty and charged 100%retail for the part + 25%. When I questioned it the service manager said it was matrix pricing. I called 3 other dealerships, none of them ever used that type of pricing, if a customer did not know the cost of parts theyd have no idea they were being taken advantage of. Use caution when dealing with Simmons Rockwell.....things are not always as good as they sound..!!!
Worst service I have ever had go down there for an exhaust leak on my new pickup and they give me some stupid answer to it without even fixing in. Keep in mind I paid the extra 2600 for the extra warranty. I will never buy a vehicle again from Simmons and rockwell and I will never recommend them to anyone.
This questionnaire does not do them justice regarding how happy I am with my experience. My daughter was at a school swim meet in Campbell-Savona School which was scheduled to start at 5:30pm. At approx. 4:45pm when we were about 1/2 way to the swim meet our car battery light came on. Fearing that we may get stranded on the side of the highway I looked online and found out that we were approx. 15 minutes away from the Simmon-Rockwell GMC Dealership in Bath, NY. I called them with our issue and stated that we were on our way to a swim meet. I was told that they would take us right in. As we pulled onto the Simmons-Rockwell lot all of our lights started to dim, the radio died and the electric windows stopped working. When we pulled outside the garage entrance we kept the car running while I ran inside. The person at the service desk came right out stating not to shut the car off and jumped directly into the vehicle taking it into the service bay while I checked in.The process was seamless. Within a few minutes I was even told by the associate that we arrived just in time as the power steering went out as he was driving across the service bays. The waiting area was extremely comfortable and the service associate came by approx. every 15 minutes to give me an update as he knew that we were trying to get to my daughters swim meet.I was told that the alternator was fine. The issue turned out to be a drive belt that had completely shredded off at approx. 49,500+ miles.I approved the repair and was back on the road within about 45-minutes of our arrival. We were extremely happy with the fantastic service, speed, and understanding that we saw that evening. If it was not for the people working that night we would have ended up stranded on the side of the highway and missing my daughters swim meet. Instead we had a comfortable environment to wait while the service was taking place, we were given frequent updates to alleviate our concerns of missing the swim meet, and thanks to the quick work we only missed about a 1/2 hr of the swim meet and were still able to see my daughter swim. After this experience I just cannot say enough about them and will happily recommend this dealership to everyone.Sincerely, Kevin Gagne
I brought my 2017 Malibu in for oil change, tire rotation, and cabin filter replacement. The service personnel handled these services efficiently. They pointed out that they engine air filter also needed replacement and performed this with my consent. At checkout they made me aware of GM service rebates that were available and gave me the information needed to complete the submission. This was all accomplished in less than one hour.

2021-09-22When I arrived at Simmons and Rockwell in Bath, NY. I was instantly greeted by a guy named Hunter. He was so nice and professional, when it came to finding me a nice car that was worth it and well deserved for me. I truly needed a newer car and I was so happy that he was able to get me approved for a 2018 Toyota Corolla. I will definitely refer anyone to Simmons and Rockwell. I love my car and I am truly grateful. Thank you again Hunter.

2022-05-25This is my third brand new car purchase from this dealership and there was no customer loyalty observed. Given a low trade in value from a vehicle that I bought brand new from you. Need a better customer loyalty program. Currently its clear if you have a trade in, dont go to Simmons. I would love to keep buying from you but every time I have to look elsewhere. I will say that the customer service was quite good and professional. Paul and Mark were really great. But like I said, no loyalty to long time frequent buyers.

2022-03-18The service and parts managers are always efficient, helpful and knowledgeable. All of the customer areas are clean and inviting with windows looking into the organized work facility. Anytime weve visited the sales department, the experienced salesperson have been helpful and patient, not pushy.

2022-06-01We were looking for a new truck, they had what we were looking for. Everything we wanted plus new extra items. This is the fourth vehicle that we have purchased. From this dealership. The problem is that they were in a big hurry to complete the deal once we decided to buy. They were very busy and the day we wanted to pick it up it was raining, and we could not spend a lot of time. We needed to have an integrated braking system installed which was an extra item. $ 274.00. The day we picked it up we talked to the salesman and another person doing the paper work about that unit. When we made the payment ( cash for the truck ) we assumed that charge was included. This was Fri. Tuesday morning I get a call from Keven Payne that we still owe for the braking system and to send a check or credit card number. This was very upsetting as we did get a agreement sheet and they never put that charge on. We never got any other paperwork other than the agreement sheet. We asked for them to send a bill for the brake system so we have it documented. As of yet that has not happened. We also want copies of the paperwork we signed. Not sure if we will get that. We are older and nervous abut the purchase and never noticed that the charge is missing. They were very busy doing several things at once which caused the error. We have Chevrolet cars and trucks and the dependability is second to none. This our forth truck and four cars and we keep them 10 years each!! We realize we should not have let them hurry us. We got down the road and realized they had not given us the insurance card and went back to get that. It was just too hurried and we did not have all the paperwork we usually have, maybe because it was signed on the computer.

2022-05-19The amount of zip ties and glue that I have started to notice that was holding this truck together is now falling apart. It is a real shame. The price that Ive paid doesnt help that I just keep finding small things that keep needed to be replace. Very disappointing.

2022-06-30Went in do to brake monitor light. Since there I scheduled fuel system cleaning and transmission fluid change. While there they then told me transmission would be an additional hundred that they couldn’t tell until I came in. Then they said brakes are horrible. Wouldn’t tell me how bad the pads are but quoted me 500 for front and 500 for rear. Just for pads!!!!! When I got home I took a couple tires off. They have about 40-50% life on them. Oh and pads cost 125 with lifetime warranty from advanced auto. Then when I went to cash out they said transmission was not done that it would be a four hour job. So the labor rate would need to be added so the last quoted price would be incorrect. How do they not know what my vehicle requires it was bought there. Hands down horrible experience. The fuel system was only thing cleaned that day.

2022-05-26Called on corvette for sale at 8am. It was noted that it just came in and is sitting next to salesperson and available. Msrp was 88k. Dealer listed for $95k. I explained that I would like to purchase the car at their marked up price of 95k and would like to put money down and come in to purchase. Salesperson needed to get GM approval to sell the car? GM was in meeting all morning and when finally getting call back, the car is sold to someone he knows locally and if they back out they are going to do bids on the car to the highest well over 100k because there is too much interest to sell at their listed mark up. Odd way to do business. If you’re selling the car to your buddy, don’t post it for sale online with a set price. Very disappointing experience.

2022-02-10It took forever for my part to come in. When my husband or myself would call to check on said part the guy that answered was extremely rude and said that he would call us when the part came in. Which no phone call was made to us to tell us the part came in. The guy that answered the phone was not anymore pleasant in person either. To be in this line of work you have to have great customer service skills and that guy has none. I would not recommend anyone to this place

2022-01-22Emmitt Cook is our go to guy for our vehicles. Emmitt is very professional friendly and and goes above and beyond all expectations. Simmons Rockwell should feel grateful to have Emmitt as the face of their dealership. We will be back Thank you so much
