They did not treat my kidney pain correctly. A kidney stone was found. And because I forgot to say I’m prescribe xanax I suffered for almost a whole day while asking for help. This is the worse place to ever come to unless you’re not going to the emergency room. The specific doctors and nurses to avoid are John Bailik PA for lying about the legal amount of medicine they can give me. And Rn Melissa White for saying the reason why they didn’t give me more was that I had cocaine I. My system and when I asked for proof they said they misread cannabinoids. I’m sure there is good people that work here but please please I beg you don’t come here to go to the ER on the small that you end up with one of these wonderful sadistic people. Beside that there are great staff here it’s a shame a few ruin the reputation of the good ones. If anyone has any advice or information please contact me.
My brother had a stent put in for kidney stones, been in pain since, had the stent removed yesterday. Drove an hour and a half home to the ER in Olean because he was in so much pain, crying, vomiting to be told to come back here at 8am and told he dont have an appointment or know if he can even have emergency surgery. Place is a joke and employees are clueless and arrogant while Im here sitting here watching my brother suffer helpless.
While the nurses, doctors, and aids, were amazing and gave my father as much care as we would have...........discharge lied, bullied, manipulated, and told my mother to get my father out, the hospital was not a hotel. There is a lot to the story, but if your loved one is VERY weak, recovering from near death, and needs rehab, be sure to consult an attorney to determine your patients rights, the criteria for discharge, criteria for acceptance into rehab, appeal process for discharge and general patients rights.................We learned to do the discharge/social workers job quickly as she was NOT an advocate for my father but was an advocate for our broken health care system.
I have tried more than several times to call billing and was put on hold for more than a hour each time, and when asked to leave a call back number it keeps repeating to leave a call back number when you leave the call back number followed by the #, so finally giving up, I tried paying online. Whoa what a joke! I will never pay online without knowing who, what, when and where first! They want your card number first before even logging into your account. They want their money but dont want to fix their problems!
My Dad is currently a patient and the care has been awful, procedures can’t get scheduled for days, he is in pain, he needs to get other opinions but can’t get released until they complete his procedure and it doesn’t seem to be a priority. I have to believe they are understaffed. The hospital looks dirty. His primary doctor sent him here because they are affiliated but we will not be returning with any family members in the future
Labor & Delivery (first floor) - April 2018.Summary:-High risk pregnancy-Extremely poor experience in labor and delivery1) OB called hospital in advance, but hospital did not have anything ready2) Waited 7 hours in triage without monitoring while there for a high-risk situation.3) Nurses forgot to re-connect monitors 3 times - which was the reason were there in triage. Husband figured it out and did self-service.4) Nurses not coordinated. Had nurses come in and ask why we were there.5) Many Nursing and Delivery Doctors/nurses had poor bedside manner, treated us like we were uneducated and poorly explained prognosis which led to extreme stress6) Poor epidural placement and dosing led to additional epidural7) Many false positive labs due to contamination, making Sisters Hospital/Catholic Health untrustworthy+much moreNote: Since labor and delivery, we have had positive experiences in NICU, 2nd floor post-partum area and ER.
I shouldnt have even given them a star! Worst emergency ever! Went with my sister at 9 pm for her possibly sprained or broken ankle. She got called in at 12:30 am, and then got out at 4am! It took 7 whole f***** hours for service! There was barely anybody there! Im so furious!!
Waited SIX HOURS at the ER today and they never even called my name, not to mention the people that were waiting there even longer than I was. Myself and several others ended up leaving without receiving the care we needed because apparently Emergency isnt in their vernacular.
Had surgery on the 7 of January, very please, treated excellent ,the anesthesia department was excellent ,the surgery was successful and the stay was awesome, but the surgery dr.Naim Dawli MD was fabulous ,my first time I met him ,I knew,God bless me and put me in a good surgery hand ,Im thankful for the care

2022-02-27Absolutely superb care from the PA, nurses and other staff. They allowed me to fully brief them on the issue, promptly initiated treatment, and got me admitted and upstairs, all while keeping me updated.

2021-11-16Took my partner here for severe abdominal pain, it took four hours for her to even be seen and then another four for someone to come in and see her. When her phone died and I tried to call for an update to just know what was happening, I was hung up on three separate times. One of the times the person on the phone saying “she can update you with anything she wants to” and hanging up, even though I just said she has no way of contacting me. I wasn’t allowed to go back with her, or know anything about her status even though I’m her emergency contact and have access to all of her records. Absolutely stressful and upsetting.

2020-11-19From the admissions desk to the Drs and nursing staff everyone was kind and attentive to my mother. Thank you to Timothy and Rich for taking excellent care of her and making me feel comfortable having to leave her.

2020-02-25Came in for flu like symptoms and waited about 1/2 hour to be called. The aide or who ever she was rude and seemed to be uninterested and rushing to get me in a room. Once in a room, I saw the doctor and he told me he would send my test down and wait for the results. I was laying down with a bad headache on a chair because there was no bed and in came the rude, uninterested aide telling me I need to gather up my stuff and follow her to the result waiting area. The result waiting area was basically a blocked off corner of the same cold waiting room I had waited to be seen in previously. No one was there to greet or assist me if needed. I sat in a regular chair in a corner cold and confused as to what would happen next for at least an hour. I drove all the way from Noth Tonawanda in rush hour traffic because this has always been my hospital of choice. Never Again!

2018-12-12I had a fantastic and positive experience at Sisters (maternity). I delivered my son there in october 2018 via csection and it was amazing at how well I, my newborn, my husband and even my oldest child were treated during my stay. Everyone was warm and very compassionate. I delivered my first child at different (suburban) hospital years ago and it was a complete nightmare, sisters charity hospital really is the best hospital around to deliver. Top notch! I felt really taken care of and i loved all of the nurses, they are incredible people who really care about their patients. Everything from my surgery team to the food service was great, every food order was perfect and we ordered alot of food service. We even had a housekeeping manager pop in to make sure the room was cleaned to our liking. My husband and I were amazed at the wonderful treatment we received. Keep doing what your doing at Sisters maternity!

2018-05-27All staff we encountered when my mother was brought in to the ER were pleasant and accommodating. Particularly the orderly who was super nice and kind to her. My sister recognized him from an earlier visit. She thinks his name is Mike (young guy with tattoos on his forearms). Thank you for being so upbeat.

2019-11-02My wife had a minor surgical procedure and she elected to stay just one night at Sisters to recover post op. We are both health care providers and familiar with hospital based surgical care. This was the worst experience weve ever seen or had in 25 years. The staff was uninterested and apathetic. The room and bathroom were filthy. I fully expected her to come home with hospital acquired MRSA. By some miracle, she didnt. We strongly recommend you go anywhere else for care.

2018-02-13ER was very slow. Not enough help on staff. My son 22 who is away at college waited over 3.5 hours to be seen for a crushed bleeding foot. When I called they told me well someone else has been waiting over 5. Really ??? What poor service. And no compassion ! Just rude overworked nurses.

2019-02-07This place is NOT an Emergency Room-it’s more after hours and a joke of an ER.This is our second visit with our college daughter. We are currently on 3hrs wait time with an elevated heart rAte, elevated bp and lethargic....they have taken a cut on the knee in before her and that patient arrived after. There was another patient moaning and crying for someone to “help me” for well over an hour. Not until she threw up in the waiting room did they take her back.Avoid...there are other options.
