When I lost my beloved mother, I didnt know what to do. My siblings and I were heart broken and clueless as what to do next. I found Sistos Funeral Home and was taken be their compassion, I want to thank Ralph for his guidance and knowledge. I want to thank the staff for making my family and I fell like family. A special thank you to Frank for staying with us till the end.

I just buried my mom, Ralph & the family took wonderful care of us. From the initial phone call and the reviews. I knew this is where I had to have the wake. Ralph took care of everything. Transportation of the body, death certificate, the online obituary, zoom transmission of the wake and arrangements for the burial. We were in constant communication. I felt very comfortable in his capable hands. The location is clean, my mother looked beautiful. Worth every penny. Put them on your list of funeral homes when tragedy strikes. I can tell you the reviews are true. They are a god send to help you get thru a loss. It was a stress less experience for my family.

I honestly cant express how unbelievably awesome it was to work with Sisto Funeral Home. From the first time I went in through the whole process of taking care of every need for my dads passing was just seamless. Ralph was super professional, caring and took care of everything quickly and I did not have to worry about anything. ANYTHING I needed he was on it. Communication was impeccable and I would 1000% recommend their services. Their team is amazing and the place is super nice, clean and beautiful.

If I could give Sisto Funeral home 100 stars, I would. There are no words to describe how compassionate, kind, responsive and attentive everyone who works there is. Ralph, the funeral director, arranged to see me immediately after calling them (while other funeral homes did not respond to my call or could not see me that day). He did not pressure us into choosing them and provided us with every detail and cost upfront. They made a very difficult and emotional process as easy as it could possibly be, even texting me when my moms body arrived to the funeral letting me know she was now in their care. The funeral home is absolutely stunning; not dark or gloomy. But full of light and beauty and the right place to honor the life of someone you love. The staff was discreet, offered us privacy but very accommodating when needed. Frank gave me his personal cell phone number and would answer my every text. Ralph, Frank and John - thank you truly from the bottom of my and my family’s heart. This place is nothing short but amazing. The best funeral home in The Bronx by far. I have lost my father unexpectedly on October 16th due to complications from a traumatic brain injury. Ralph, Frank, and John are the most professional, compassionate people in the business. They fully executed our familys vision for my fathers memorial service and cremation. They were extremely flexible in regards, to payment for services. They even assisted with loading floral arrangements into the truck. They made the business of death less painful in order for me to remain level-headed during this extremely difficult time. As hard it is to type up this review, I will be forever grateful to Sisto. I wanted my Dads life to be celebrated as King that he is, and they did just that.
My husband is a retired NYPD police officer. He died of cancer early this month. Days before my husband died, I had made pre-arrangements with Ralph of Sisto Funeral Home who is very knowledgeable and very helpful. What a peace-of-mind! When my husband died, all I did was called Ralph, left a message, got a return call and 2 professional personnel of Sisto Funeral Home came to my house to pick up my husbands body (My husband was on hospice home care). I then came to the funeral home with my son to make the final funeral arrangements. We spoke with Frank who is very compassionate, has excellent knowledge and expertise with NYPD funeral ceremonial arrangements. Long story short, Frank and John were there for me and my son from beginning to end during a very difficult time in our lives. Frank and John made the funeral for my husband SO PERFECT AND MEMORABLE. Choosing Sisto Funeral Home was the best decision I made. Our family is so grateful and thankful to John Sisto and Frank. We will never forget your kindness, professionalism and for treating us like your family.

On June 25th, 2019 my father Afortunado Gonzalez passed away. From the first call I made to Sisto Funeral Home, I was provided with professionalism and compassion from the staff. Especially, from Frank Cieri who helped me in making the right decisions and the process less stressful. I felt like Frank was part of my family advising me on arrangement options for my father. He was very honest with the price of the cremation arrangements for my dad. I did not feel pressured in the decisions I made. Frank, Thank you! Words can’t express how grateful we are to John for helping our family arrange services for our Dad who passed away due to complications from COVID-19 just days ago. We called the funeral home and left a message and within 10 minutes John called us back. My sister and I had a laundry list of questions since we would be making arrangements over the phone since we live out of state. There was no question John couldn’t answer. Given the pandemic, John accommodated us so that we could spend time with our Dad and say our goodbyes right before his graveside service without having a viewing. We had a large wake and a larger funeral, the entire staff too care of everything in such a discreet and gentle manner, even behind the scenes, their attention to every detail is exceptional. Just got off the phone with them, trying to find a loving and compassionate place have my baby boys service. This is not it, the guy was completely rude and compassionate. Wont even waste my time going for a visit.

2022-04-27To say that Sisto is amazing is an understatement. The amount of care and attention to detail they give your loved one is beyond comforting. Ralph is always attentive, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, understanding, and all around amazing. Frank and Ralph make you feel like everything will be ok in the midst of such pain and sorrow. They handled my mother’s funeral arrangements with such compassion. From the moment she passed they were attentive and on top of everything from getting her body transported, to assisting us in finding the right people to handle her here in Chicago. 2022-02-01Losing a loved one is never easy and it’s never easy planning a funeral. People don’t know how to do that until you lose someone and my family didn’t know the first thing. My brother passed and he was military overseas and we were lost on how to do things and confused with military processes.Frank was amazing and treated my family like his own! He helped us step by step, accommodated the situation that my brother was coming from overseas, and was available to answer our 1,000 questions. He knew the military process well and worked directly with the military to set up the arrival and military honors, taking that off our hands. The funeral home was so clean, they provided masks, sanitizer and even water to the guests. We asked to be able to put personal pictures every where and they allowed it and in fact had it set up when we got there! They have a parking lot which helps.We were supposed to go to another location and with the confusion that fell through and I’m glad it did. Thank you for helping my family and giving my brother the go away he deserved.

2022-03-29We can’t thank Sisto Funeral Home enough for all that they did for us during a particularly difficult time. We have now buried both my parents with Sisto and they handled everything with respect and care. Ralph is incredible, such a nice guy. He was easy to work with, answered all our questions, and made sure everything went smoothly. The ceremony he organized was beautiful including at at the gravesite burial with military honors. 2021-11-10I just had my mother’s funeral this past Monday and I was so happy and amazed at the professionalism and the care Sisto Funeral home provided. Ralph and his staff went way beyond anything I expected . My mother looked beautiful , all was taken care of at their place from flowers , online obituary, in room video all the way to providing sympathy thank you cards and even taking care of calling SS for me. I didn’t have to stress and worry myself about anything during this time. I greatly appreciate all that they did for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

2021-11-13My mother passed away suddenly leaving us to plan a celebration of her life. The best decision we made was to call Sisto Funeral Home. From the initial meeting, to the actually entombment, the staff at Sisto guided and supported us with compassion and expertise.Frank walked us through the necessary arrangements and made suggestions which we would have never thought of, suggestions that come from his years of experience. As a result, the whole process went smoothly. The close working relationship that the staff at Sisto have with the local church and cemetery was evident in that we were accommodated quickly and our special requests fulfilled. The funeral home itself is classy, nicely decorated and comfortable. When we arrived the morning of the wake, everything was already in order. The staff provided stands for the flowers and the picture boards we had made. In addition, Ralph had put together an amazing slide show with the pictures I had emailed the night before. This alone was huge for me as I am not the technical type. There’s no way I could have done that slide show on my own and it was one of the highlights of the gathering. Not only did Ralph make the slide show for us, but he also gave me a copy of it on a USB!While we were in the funeral home, any concern we had that was brought to the attention of the staff, was addressed immediately. In fact, the staff was so attentive that we felt like we were the only family at the home which we weren’t. From the funeral home, we went to the church for the service. The staff from Sisto never left our side. After prayers at the cemetery, Frank had asked my father if he wanted to see the body be put into the crypt even though this is not usually permitted. My father said “yes” so he, my sister and I were allowed to watch as the casket was placed in its final resting place.That small gesture gave us a sense of peace for which I am grateful. I had never planned a funeral service before and would have been lost without the expertise and guidance provided by Frank, Ralph and company. I would definitely recommend Sisto Funeral Home to others. They are kind, professional and go beyond the call of duty for their families.

2021-09-23I am very grateful to Sisto Funeral Home. Throughout this difficult time of losing my mother this month, Ralph was very professional and compassionate. He guided me and answered all of my questions whenever I had them. I didn’t feel alone or lost in this process. It didn’t feel like they were focused on making a profit but more on giving support.
