Dr Comite has been my doctor for 15 years. He is always so kind, knowledgeable and professional. I came to him with a concern about a mole. It turned out to be a melanoma... and this early detection saved my life. Since then, I visit a couple times a year. Dr. Comite is my savior! He came highly recommended from a dermatologist in my home town and I wish I would have known about him sooner! I went to countless cosmetic derms in the city for adult acne and every single one charged me boat loads of money for the same generic protocol. I came to Dr. Comite at the lowest of lows. Dr. Comite is excellent and everyone in the office is wonderful! I have been seeing Dr. Comite for years mostly for acne. Dr. Comite is extremely attentive, knowledgable and very thorough. He not only makes sure my skin looks great on a regular basis but takes the time to see me before big events like weddings to make sure I feel my best and dont have any spots to worry about in photos. He removed a cyst from my face a couple years ago and did such a great job you cant even see where the stitches were. Would recommend Dr. Comite to anyone who asks.
Ive been going to Dr.Comite for over 20 years. I have sensitive skin and am prone to breakouts and have had other skin related issues over the years. Dr. Comite has always identified and resolved every skin issue Ive ever had. He is plugged into the latest medical research and techniques and I am confident that I am getting the best treatment. I even consulted Dr. Comite for the latest developments during the Covid pandemic because I knew he would have the most up-to-date information. I couldnt recommend Dr. Comite more highly for any skin related medical issue anyone may have.

I highly recommend Dr. Stephen Comite as a dermatologist. He has a very calm demeanor. I came to see him for a few issues related to my acne and hair. He was very thorough in his evaluation and explained everything clearly with the treatments and medications he was recommending to me. He explained possible but rare side effects of the medication. Dr. Comite answered my questions and didnt rush me. He took photos of the treatment areas which I thought was a very good idea. I was given paperwork to read up on the medication he was prescribing that I appreciated. He is conveniently located near Grand Central and I was able to get an appointment without any hassles. Dr. Stephen Comite is a first-rate, board certified dermatologist in Midtown. I have found him over the past five years to be thorough, professional, honest, friendly and efficient. Given my underlying skin conditions I visit Dr. Comite 5-6 times per year. He is not a dermatologist who “finds” five or six things to take off each visit. If there is nothing to remove, I feel that he does not find something so as to run up the bill. His follow up and that of his staff is first rate. I highly recommend Stephen Comite to anyone looking for a first class dermatologist at affordable rates in Manhattan.

Dr. Comite has been our family dermatologist for several years now. For some time, we had looked for a practice that took the time to evaluate our issues, and recommend practical treatments that fixed the problems.Dr. Comites practice is exactly what we were looking for. He is knowledgeable, caring and patient. As the skin is a reflection of other bodily functions, he carefully explores the many possible causes of skin issues. His treatments have been effective and easy to maintain at home. He has never recommended expensive products with complicated regimens; just straight-forward things that work. He is always on time, the treatments needed are done efficiently, usually during the same visit, and we have never felt rushed. His staff are all kind, competent, and efficient.Dr. Comite was an early adopter of virtual visits in the when the virus emerged. There were no gaps in the care he provided despite the unprecedented difficulties. He also actively participated in regular forums regarding the virus, and he made a point of sharing what he had learned during each virtual visit. He brought clarity to evolving and often conflicting information in those early weeks, and this knowledge-sharing during such a difficult time alleviated much of the fear and confusion generated by the mass media.Dr. Comite is a Dermatologist; but he is much more. We travel about 2 hours to see him, and he is worth every minute.

2022-04-14Dr. Comite is an exceptional dermatologist. I have been going to him for 20+ years and I do not have enough good things to say about him and his staff. He has that rare combination of being both extremely knowledgeable and highly personable with a first-rate bedside manner. He is up-to-date on all issues and very detailed. Given my fair skin and some other medical issues, I have regular issues with my skin and the doctor has always quickly and very efficiently dealt with all my issues. He provides very quick and personal follow-up . He and his staff take detailed and comprehensive notes (my file is now almost the size of novel) which means that nothing falls through the cracks. He is extremely accommodating when it comes to appointments. I had a skin issue come upon a Friday before a holiday weekend so I contacted him and he came into the office on his day off to take care of the issue. This represents the type of doctor and person he is and I him my highest recommendation.
