John Dekowski was undeniably the most experienced and best tandem instructor I have had. He showed patience and expertise in a helpful, reassuring way throughout the tandem experience. I would recommend JD for anybody skydiving for the first time. Even though he has done over 17000 jumps over 28 years , he was able to relate to my fears and show patience when I asked repeated questions.
If you were curious about skydiving for the first time and been looking at different locations, look no further! My friend and I were first timers at the ranch and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. The entire staff was super friendly and the vibe was very comfortable considering you’re jumping out of the sky! Don’t stress, just go for it! I jumped with Brandon as my instructor and couldn’t have asked for a better partner. He made the experience super comfortable and kept my mind at ease. There was no time to be worried. 10/10 experience!
Had an amazing time! The weather was perfect, its mid fall, the colors were beautiful! Staff was welcoming and the vibe was great! So much so that it put any nerves I had at ease. My instructor, John, was awesome, he easily explained everything he needed me to do, and showed me an awesome time! Felipe was my videographer and he got all the best moments! The video and photos turned out amazing. Thank you all so much! Ill definitely be back.
I’ve jumped in tandem over 20 times. Most of it at Skydive the Ranch. The staff and service are outstanding! Joe runs the place with vigor and makes every effort to accommodate our manifest.I feel safe to fly with any of the instructors as I know The Ranch has the best experienced instructors.At this time I want to shout out to John Dekowski as I had the last 4 jumps with him. He was patient, respectful, kind and funny. John D went above and beyond to provide me with unforgettable jumps and he was successful!! Wow!! I considered Skydiving for a few years and decided The Ranch was the best option. I booked online for my birthday and they sent me the waivers and a required video that was super informative. I had to reschedule because of the rainy weather and Joe helped me out and answered some questions I had.The day of my reservation check in was smooth and all the staff was patient, kind and helpful. My tandem was paired with Brandon and I had my video shot by Jaimie. My friend jumped with Igor. They were friendly, clear on instructions and eased my nerves.From the point of jump to landing, it’s indescribable yet an experience you should allow yourself. I would definitely go again and find my instructor Brandon for my jump. If you are considering to record your jump, Jaimie was super friendly!
It was my first time here and skydiving. I had a wonderful time. Everyone here was so nice and very professional. Thank you Brandon for jumping with me and gave me such an amazing experience. It’s been 6 years before this since I last jumped out of an airplane. I last did it at Skydive Long Island before they closed. Once that place closed I knew this would be the place I’d have to go to get certified. I’d follow skydive posts a lot on Instagram, I saw the redbull airforce had been here and it hyped this place up even more for me. Besides the incredibly beautiful locale, the staff was amazing and surpassed my expectations. This place lived up to the hype for me. The staff was very friendly and helpful, Holly was super friendly, chill, and just exuded good vibes. Utah was one of the coolest, most chill guy I’ve ever met. The dude can take away any anxiety or nervousness you’ll have with his years of knowledge and experience in this amazing sport. He talked me through everything that he was doing, answered every one of my questions, and even showed me how to pilot the canopy in depth. I’m super grateful to have been there and can’t wait to go back for more and even get certified. Blue skies 🤙🏼
AMAZING experience. We loved Skydive the Ranch. My husband surprised me for my birthday and we went skydiving for the first time here. I can’t wait to go back. I felt totally safe with my instructor John D. He set great expectations and guided me the whole way, right into a smooth landing. SDR has their whole act together to keep you safe without being stuffy and taking the fun out of it. There were decades of experience on our plane and we knew we were in great hands. And it was a fu**ing blast!!!!
My instructor Ben was awesome. Made me feel comfortable and was very nice. The whole experience was just out of this world! The individual who took my video was outstanding, he did fantastic! First time skydiving for my 30th birthday and 10/10 recommend the ranch. My experience at the ranch was better than I could have imagined. From the moment I got there the staff was so friendly and welcoming. For skydiving, the whole vibe was just so comfortable and fun I was instantly at ease. Brandon was my instructor and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience. He explained everything easily, didn’t complicate it. He made me so comfortable that jumping out felt like nothing! The entire group of instructors including the pilot really showed my friend and I a great time. I will absolutely be going back here! Thank you guys again!
I just want to say thank you to every person who was there. I never felt so comfortable anywhere especially right before skydiving something that I have never done before. This has changed my life. The closures that I got from this experience can never be explained. And the video makes me cry every time I see it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I went on a tandem jump in June and the entire experience was incredible!The staff and service was awesome! They held my bag while I jumped and answered all my questions.My instructor, John D was so thorough and I felt incredibly safe the entire time. The instructions were simple enough that I knew I could follow them and repetitive enough that I did all the things I was supposed to do while still having the time of my life!You only skydive for the first time once and I am SO happy it was here! Highly recommend!
The weather was kinda iffy received a text on the morning of the jump stating that the weather might be an issue,it was cloudy...I rescheduled my jump date , then Joe called and asked if I wanted to go that day, I was ready to go. They asked if I could get there early, and I did. I was greeted by my jump partnerUTAH, he was extremely calming and informative about what to expect. We harnessed up, got on the plane and took off. What a brilliant day it turned out to be. The initialfree fall was Exhilarating!!! The chute opened and he let mehelp with the turning. The landing was SO smooth. Over all a exceptional experience.tristan the videographer was awesome. Thanks for an outstanding experience.
Skydive The Ranch gave my family & I the most amazing experience ever! Everyone there, from the pilots, instructors and the cameramen were all welcoming and trust worthy. I can’t wait to come back later this year to come skydive with these outstanding people! I highly recommend coming here if you’re a true dare devil who wants to fly high in the sky and feel 100% safe and secure while doing this amazing experience. Eric was my instructor and I hope when I go back I’ll be able to have him as my instructor again, wouldn’t change anything about my day here! Breath taking and worth it!
Was the most amazing experience ever! I was a first time jumper (doing an ash dive for my sister who passed away) and never in my life imagined skydiving but I did it for my sister. As you can imagine I was so nervous but John my instructor was so amazing and I felt at total ease and so safe with him. He walked me through the entire process and explained everything very clearly and made this bittersweet experience just so amazing! Felipe the videographer also did an awesome job and put a few extra special/beautiful touches to the video due to the circumstances of my jump. I will definitely be back!
Utah and comrade baboon are the best ! I went skydiving alone on Sunday 10/17/21. I wasnt really nervous until i got on the plane and it started to take off but, Utah was very reassuring and told me everything going to be fine and he’s been doing this since he was about 17. As soon as the door opened i was the first one to jump and even while flying in the air Utah made sure i was okay and walking me thru the whole process. Baboon got some sick shots of me in the air and i couldnt ask for better pictures or videos if i wanted to. If i can rate 6 stars I would !! Best place to go skydiving definitely coming back !
There is so much I could say about my experience with skydive the ranch but I will make it short. This experience was beyond my expectations. I skydive with Utah he was so professional and make me feel comfortable. He made this experience so much fun and the most important things was for me to feel safe and he make sure of that. Everyone seem so excited and friendly the atmosphere was very nice!This was a lifetime experience!

Couldn’t wait to go skydiving for the first time and everyone at skydive the ranch made it a truly remarkable experience. My experience with The Ranch Skydive was amazing! I went with a super respectful and friendly instructor that I feel like became a friend to me and a photographer/videographer that did an excellent job and made me feel comfortable the whole time. I can’t thank them enough, it was fantastic and I am missing it so much already. Their job is very professional.
Skydive the Ranch is a wonderful spot! John Dekowski was great. We had a tandem dive through perfect weather and had a blast! He gave clear instruction and set my expectations throughout the dive, which was really helpful. He was a great tour guide, kept us safe, and made sure we had fun! It was an epic experience. It was my first jump and my instructor OJ was incredible. He gave me clear instructions and broke everything down clearly. It all worked out wonderfully.I also paid for photos and video and Tristian did a wonderful job. I am extremely impressed with the customer service and care and will definitely be coming back.
I had the best time of my entire life. Im super afraid of heights so i was a little apprehensive to go and jump out of a perfectly good plane.. but my instructor, John Dekowski, made me feel so safe and comfortable. He walked me through exactly what was going to happen and was very thorough with the instructions. He made me feel like it was okay to feel anxious and nervous and he made it one of the best experiences Ive had. He even let me take reign of the parachute and I could move it around so I could steer in whatever direction I pleased. I highly recommend jumping at least once, and if you have anyone like John as your instructor youre gonna have the time of your life ! I cant wait to go back again!
Where do I even start with this review. If I could give this place 6 stars I would, Skydive The Ranch is THE best place to experience the thrill of skydiving! This was my first time skydiving and naturally was very concerned/nervous about jumping out of a plane. My instructor John though was absolutely incredible and made my experience. His professionalism, energy, experience (John has jumped over +14,000 times) to ensuring I had the best possible experience were all top notch. Nothing but great things to say about this place and look forward to my next jump at Skydive The Ranch!
Hands-down one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had in my life. If you ever get the chance to go skydiving I pray you don’t chicken out because the experience is once in a lifetime and honestly there’s nothing else I can compare to I’m so glad I did it and I think everybody should do it at least once. Skydive the ranch provided the excellent platform for an intro skydiver like me and at no point did I feel uncomfortable or out of place. I completely recommend skydive the ranch and I hope other users found this review helpful

My first tandem sky dive with The Ranch was an experience of a LIFETIME! Worth every single penny. My tandem jumper was amazing, calm and totally professional. The camera man did a stunning job, 50+ photos and an I-Could-Not-Believe video. If this isnt on your bucket-list ... it should be!

I went with one of my really good friends and it was both of our first times going — it was so much fun!!! I had John Dekowski “JD” as my guy and it was incredible! I felt super safe the whole time and really enjoyed laughing on the plane ride up with the other riders. Would 100% recommend going here to a friend!!

The Sky Ranch in Gardiner NY is the place to go for the thrill of your life. The instructors are friendly, very experienced, and guide you thru every detail of the jump so that you feel comfortable and assured that you are, most importantly, safe in their hands. Not just for macho guys, the girls will love it too.
I had a great time from start to finish and loved every moment of the jump. John Dekowski was my Instructor and I’d 100% recommend him for anyone going on their first jump. Him and the rest of the staff at Skydive the Ranch were extremely helpful and welcoming the entire time.

Being a nervous first time skydiver, I was surprised that I actually became more and more confident the closer we got to making the jump. The people that work here give off a sense of community and sincere appreciation for the sport. My instructor, John Dekowski, who has jumped thousands of times before, had respect for it being my first experience and was constantly reassuring. My videographer Jaimie R, made sure to keep me excited and reminded me to smile. There was an issue with the video of my jump where the first file sent to me was corrupted, but it was quickly resolved after I notified them about it.

OMG!!! What a truly awesome experience.I had booked a jump for my partners 60th birthday and he in return took me along for the dive.Upon arriving the excitement was oozing, we checked in and just like that suited up, instructed and on our way. My tandem partner Ben was great, not once did I feel scared. My video guy Tristen had great energy and added to the serenity I felt.I never questioned myself, I never had a moment of fear I just went with the flow rolled out of that plane and just enjoyed the view the peacefulness that accompanies that graceful moment that chute opens.It was a bucket list experience that will last a lifetime or until I go again.Thank you to everyone at the Ranch that made our day so spectacular!!!!

The team was professional and friendly, my jumper was Igor and he was the most warm and funny guy, making me feel very comfortable and safe in his care. Even though it was my second time jumping, it was even better than my first as there was a full 60 seconds of free fall and a really exciting parachuting ride down!
This was my first time skydiving and it was super amazing. No regrets at all I would definitely do it again and again. I was a little nervous but the team made me feel at ease. I really enjoyed the jump since this was my third time sleeping for autism to support my younger brother. I like feeling the turbulence up in the sky as I fall and then learning to steer the parachute is amazing as well and I hit the ground perfectly fine with the guy I’m strapped to without getting hurt. I’ll come back next time to leave for autism again.

My siblings and I were celebrating our youngest brothers 30th birthday at Skydive The Ranch. I was paired up with John Dekowski as my tandem instructor. I wanted something EPIC to do to celebrate my 60th Birthday during this horrible pandemic year. Couldnt do a big blowout party with a band and karaoke. What could possibly provide that kind of epic experience? THIS, THIS THIS! I cannot say enough positive things about the entire operation at the Ranch. They accommodated our changing schedule, they had fantastic customer service before, during and after. Each of us had our own guide and video person. ( I highly recommend getting the video-- well worth the cost. People are raving about the photos) All were professional, knowledgeable, patient and good spirited. There was a smooth process from arrival, to fitting, instructions, loading and finally the jump. It was EVERYTHING I had imagined and hoped for. It made my 60th Birthday the EPIC event I was hoping for. I was joined on this experience by my son Trevor and my friend and fellow cancer survivor Janice. She had this on her bucket list. It was truly one of those life altering events for us both. DO THIS! It was a dream come true. Thank you Skydive the Ranch!
Its always been a thought of mine to skydive. I was a flight attendant in my 20s, I always wondered when we reached 30,000 ft what those clouds felt like out there. My uncle passed away a month ago, he was a commerical airline pilot most of his adult life. On his bucket list was to skydive, which he was never able to do. His death was sudden, and he was my fathers best friend. My dad was an ironworker his whole life, so I knew heights werent a fear for him. I got tired of giving meaningless fathers day gifts he appreciated but never used. I took a chance and booked this, I didnt tell him until 2 days before. He was not happy. Many curse words, many comments about why cant you just purchase me a coffee mug ill never use and say Happy Fathers Day!.We arrived with some kicking and screaming. The crew was amazing. They lightened the mood, took away alot of the fears and the risks ( although they do exist) and eased his mind about the jump.I jumped with Utah. He talked to me the entire time. Explained everything he was doing, kept me calm and relaxed, he was the perfect amount of excitement, professionalism and calmness I needed. My videographer was amazing, so kind and told me the moment I looked down before jumping out to, Look at me, its all good! We got this.That jump out was an indescribable feeling. Jumping onto a bed of fresh pillows. There was no belly flip like a roller coaster, there was no fear, it was pure bliss. The anxiety and the fear lifted within seconds and all you could think about was, Im flying. I felt closer to my uncle than I had since he left. My father felt the same.I would do it again in a heart beat.AMAZING. AMAZING. AMAZING.From experience, to safety, to professionalism, to thrill, excitement and fun. Not a single thing could have been done differently.Dont give it a second thought. Go. It will forever change your life, it sure changed mine.Thank you Skydive the Ranch.

This place has 5 stars for a reason! The professionalism yet laid back vibe, incredible safety precautions, and incredible instructors all made for a first skydiving experience that I’ll never forget!!My partner and I took a trip up to the area with no intentions of skydiving. The thought came to mind during the trip, so I called with the hopes that we would be able to go the very next day. Spoke to Cecilia (hope I spelled it right) who was freaking awesome! She helped us get on a skydive time that accommodated our schedule. Shout out to her.Utah and Eric were our instructors. They were both highly professional, yet cracked jokes and kept things light. Honestly, couldn’t have asked for anyone better to guide us down safely.We HIGHLY recommend this place and HIGHLY recommend you get it filmed if it’s your first time. This was an amazing experience and the instructor was super nice and made sure I understood every step necessary to make the jump, dive and landing safe and fun.
My friend had recently went to this place. She is of Spanish decent and said she felt completely discriminated. She said a woman named Lyn was being rude to her,(the only woman of color in the group). My friend called me that day crying because she never experienced something this traumatic. I am writing this review to speak up for her and to warn anyone that isn’t white.
Great staff, very helpful & accommodating & confident. My guy Jeff made me feel comfortable & @ ease. Gave a quick rundown, before, on the plane ride up & while on our little tour in the air..lol. I went to accompany my mother for her birthday & she too had a great experience, also had some awesome friends join in on the fun. WHAT A THRILL!!! Def recommend SKY DIVE THE RANCH.
I was there for a fundraiser and had my second jump as a part of it. The instructor was very helpful, repeated anything I needed, answered whatever questions I had, and was very careful to explain all the steps we went through at every point.

I did a tandem jump with Egor who is an awesome instructor who will keep you informed and make you feel comfortable during the whole experience. Having done a static line jump in 1980 I have always wanted to do an actual skydive and I am glad I did. It was the most amazing experience ever and I look forward to doing it again. If you are thinking about it I encourage you to book a jump at Skydive the Ranch. If you are not sure you want to do it but interested spend some time there and check it out, talk with people and you will be on a plane before you know it having the time of your life! Thanks to Leland for a great job recording the whole process.

Great place to make your first skydive. Or if your an experienced skydiver its an epic drop zone. 3 Supper Otters, large hanger with lots of packing matts. Friendly manifest and a great pro shop. They also have an awesome skydiving school real talented instructors.They allow camping onsite if your staying a while. They also have a small cafe open in the summer months.Also ranch parties and boogies are epic!Fly baby Fly!
I really couldnt have imagined a better experience- not just with the tandem skydive itself, but also with our instructors Eric and John. My sister and I went for our birthdays! Even though we thought we were gonna be too nervous once we got into the plane, our instructors made the whole process so fun and comforting that we only felt excitement, even when we were about to jump that 13,500 feet! I recommend this to everyone, ESPECIALLY for people who think theyd be too scared- that was me once!

Skydive the ranch provides an outstanding and remarkable experience! Whether you have fear, a need for an adrenaline rush, or excitement this is the place for you. Even if you feel anxious, you will overcome because of the instructor. You will feel inspired and proud after jumping. Not to mention observing natures bounty while soaring , floating....My instructor UTAH, was confident, funny, superb-its like he can read the personality of the first time jumper. I fully trusted Utah- he had my back, and trust from the start. My boyfriends instructor was Johnathon, also amazing and tuned in to HIS personality. He had an incredible time.I believe the videographers name is Chris, totally professional at filming, as well as editing and even adding the background music. Great staff for prep, instruction, harness fitting and explanation of skydiving concepts. John ( my tandem partner) and Felipe ( skydiving camera person) were excellent companions!The “flight” itself was exactly as explained except they missed that the fact that it was BOTH exhilarating and SERENE. This was one of the most EXHILARATING, EXCITING, AMAZING and INCREDIBLE experiences I have ever had!! Everyone there was so happy, friendly and joyful that it made you feel right at home! I have been in a wheelchair unable to walk for about 8 to 9 years and this experience literally made me feel limitless and for that period of time in the air I forgot about not being able to walk anymore… which is priceless!! John was the best Skydiver to do this with and made me feel more than safe, Tristons incredible personality and heart made my experience even better, not to mention the amazing video he shot, and of course Sarah who made this a reality!! Skydiving was on my bucket list & I was not disappointed. It was a birthday present to myself & I waited for fall color. The staff was totally professional & really made me feel safe & eased my ‘jitterbugs’. My nerves were replaced with exhilaration & I know I had a smile plastered on my face the whole descent. Do it, I promised you’ll be happy you did. And the video is totally worth every penny; you can relive and share your experience for years to come!
Awesome experience. Theres really nothing like the feeling of jumping out of a plain. Its insane! The rush and the view are hard to forget. I keep replaying it over and over in my mind. Its really incredible. Skydive The Ranch is well run, nice people, they make it a good time.My only problem is that I jumped Tandem and my instructor wouldnt let us do flips out of the plane. If thats what you are looking for, ask early to get a crazy instructor.

Went skydiving for the very first time and I cant wait to go back! Instructor John made me feel completely at ease and comfortable about it. The Ranch was great with communication before and on the day of our dive with timely notification of weather-related delays. Their first concern was for our safety and they were respectful of our time. John was fantastic. He was knowledgeable and confident. Incredible experience start to finish. My biggest concern was that I would have to wait around for a long time before I ended up in the plane. That wasn’t the case. I spent all of a half hour waiting until the plane got filled.In the meantime four different employees who work for the ranch came up to me and introduced themselves, and shot the breeze with me (I was by myself).I wish I could remember the employee who recorded my video, because he was really top-notch. I was a little worried, so I don’t remember his name for certain, I’m pretty sure it was Scott or Jim.My tandem instructor was Igor, and he was really great. His process was seamless and flawless, which gave me relief for the jump, but also confidence in knowing that I was jumping with someone who knew what he was doing.I can’t recommend this place enough, or the experience. I can’t wait to come back!

Did my first ever tandem skydive here in a group of 4. We had to cancel the first time we tried due to weather and got a full refund with no hassle at all. When we did make it out, the whole process was really smooth. They got us suited up, briefed, and up in a plane in about 30 mins. The tandem guides were all calm and professional. They sent us our photos and videos within a few hours and they came out great. I would easily recommend this place to anyone whos interested in throwing themselves out of a moving aircraft.
Amazing ExperienceFinally deciding to jump off a plane is not a small matter. Gathering the guts to do it still makes you think of things that you dont want to think about.But, once getting there and signing the waivers etc, and finally meeting my instructor, Tall Eric, and photographer Jim, I was on my way to take that first jump.What assured me my safety were the instructions by Eric and once in the plane, Erics making sure and saying it aloud how I am attached to him - both to my shoulders, waist etc. Then came time to jump and it was just amazing.Thanks Eric, Jim and the all rounder owner of this place, Billy. Will definitely come back again - with a lot of friends (they saw my video on FB).
What a surreal experience! My tandem instructor JM was fantastic. He was relaxing, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area.The video package was absolutely worth it. My siblings and I all got one, and the videos were uniquely amazing. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. They film you before, during, and after. They then add music and make it into a full production. My videographer was a lot of fun!I wouldn’t change anything, and if I jump again I would definitely come back here!

The best dropzone in the tristate area! The atmosphere is very welcoming and the grounds are beautiful. The staff is helpful and accommodating, and all the instructors are very safe, experienced, and knowledgeable. Its definitely the place you want to go whether its your very first skydive or youre already a licensed skydiver 🙌🏿😁
It was an amazing experience. Christine Kelley has been encouraging me for 20 years to jump. I finally did it. I wasnt ready back then, but I sure wish I had been. John K made me feel at ease, explained everything to me several times and then talked me through it. Even though I did not let my hands go right away. Feeling the wind, seeing the panoramic views of my beloved Hudson Valley, experiencing what others have said would be a rush... it was all I thought and more. Yes, I will be back, maybe once a year here on out. Everyone was supportive and fun. THANK YOU!!!
Amazing experience. This was my first jump and I jumped with Igor and he was very good at reassuring me everything would be fine. He also does some cool spins during free fall and lets you steer the parachute. They hold your stuff for the tandem. The only thing I might recommend would be ear plugs as it does get loud when you free fall and your ears pop but after a day it goes back to normal. Id recommend jumping on a hot day because it does get cold up there. Amazing experience and yes everyone is capable of doing it; it didnt even feel real and I thought Id chicken out last second but once I was out of the plane I knew everything would be ok. Got there at 11 and was out of there by 12; guess it depends on when you go but they dont make you wait around that long.

I just want to start off by saying I had the GREATEST time. Eric was my instructor- he was super awesome. Very knowledgeable and I was very comfortable with him. I made this reservation for my 27th birthday and I couldn’t of been any happier. Pure bliss! I have to also call and get the videographers info to tip MORE. I received the video of my jump and got waaaay more than I expected. I definitely recommend going and even contemplating getting a license. A friend and I went to the ranch for our first ever sky diving experience & it was amazing. The staff were so nice & genuine, they really made us feel comfortable and had great energy! I LOVED my skydive at skydive the ranch. I flew with Igor and had so much fun. I felt so safe and excited the whole time! I cant wait to do it again. The ridge was stunning from up in the sky and I felt like I got to enjoy it for a solid amount of time before landing smoothly on the ground. Overall a FANTASTIC experience.

I went to Sky Dive the Ranch this past Sunday for my second tandem. I had an amazing experience. Joe, Emma, Helen and Eric were all super courteous. Everyone at the facility was very nice. Eric, my tandem instructor, explained everything I needed to know and made me feel very safe. Eric gave me instructions while in free fall, and in the canopy. The back flips and rolls were amazing by the way Eric, thank you SO much. Truly looking forward to doing that again. We landed softly and I didnt even get dirty this time lol. As soon as we landed I wanted to go back up again. Ill be coming back here a lot...probably forever :) Thank you to the entire staff for your kindness and professionalism. Fly baby, fly!
On June 24 2021 I did my first tandem dive with fabulous instructor Steve Utah. I cannot believe how calm I was throughout the whole thing but I believe it was because Steve explained everything first. The weather was glorious, my group started out with a very small prayer by me and then we were off. After watching the videos and photos (which are a must to get) I have been so excited and exhilerated. Yesterday when I was asked if I would do it again I said no. After watching all the photos I am thinking more positively YES. I loved it.I am 91 and one half years of age, I am HelenHi everyone.
As with most people skydiving was a bucket list item for me and my girlfriend. We finally made the appointment and we chose Skydive the Ranch. The entire process was simple. You can sign the waivers beforehand using a link sent through email. All of the staff was friendly and informative. The instructors (they call themselves pilots) described what each part of the process will be like. Our instructors, Steve and Igor, each had over 17,000 jumps and made us feel safe. This place is great!
Steve did an excellent job of bringing fun into my 2nd skydiving experience. He was thorough, informative, seasoned and very easy to talk to. Steve made sure I understood every procedure as if I were a skydiving student and I appreciated the lessons enough to look forward to a 3rd skydive in the near future. Overall, Steve and the Skydive the Ranch team take safety seriously while also making sure you have the most fun & memorable experience. I was very happy with their operation!

A great place to conquer your fears!! As someone who is scared of heights, I decided to skydive with a group of friends to check it off my bucket list and have a great experience. My instructor Steve (Utah) was excellent in explaining everything to me, reassuring me, and distracting me from the fact that I was going to be falling through the sky. Im so glad I was able to have this experience. The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is that I wanted the full video/photo package, but my camera man failed to capture my video, which I was informed of on the way home from the jump. I received a refund for the photo/video package and still got the pictures he took, but I’m really bummed about not getting a video of the experience.

It was an awesome adventure to fulfillone of my cousin Colleens bucket list.We did this for her 75th bday. It was a wild ride for 2 old ladies. Felt very safewith our attached guides (thank you Brandon and John). Happy to have picture and video to memorial the event.If you are adventurous, I would definitely reccomend Skydive the Ranch. You could even bring a lunch to watch others and cheer them on. We had a fun time meeting other divers.

What a great time! Utah is the man for sure! So knowledgeable and a fantastic conveyor of information. He told me everything that was going on and why. I felt safe than I feel while driving my on car! My videographer, Leeland (sorry if I butchered that, Brother) was awesome too. He really did a great job with the video and stills. The personalities of these two guys are awesome. Very sincere. I felt at home. The window staff are wonderful people as well. Id surely be remiss if I didnt mention the compression specialists who pack canopies all day long. Thank you all for a fabulous experience. My son and I are still flying high and its 4 days later. See you guys in August. Im trying to fill a plane. Wish me luck!
BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! I jumped with E. Rock and JM and could not have asked for a pair duo! They both made the experience so fun, exciting and made me feel so comfortable the entire way. I would definitely go back and have recommended them to so many friends. Also recommend getting the video package especially if it’s your first jump, it is so cool to watch afterwards and JM got some AWESOME footage of my entire experience. I could not be happier with my time at The Ranch!
I loved my jump at the ranch!!! My instructor Eeyorr (probably spelled that wrong) but he’s the “Devil guy”Was incredible. He was pleasant, friendly, caring and reassuring. I have jumped in other places and I have to say this was the best jump ever!! The plane was comfortable and fast, my exit and Freefall was the best ever and our parachute ride down was gorgeous! Our landing was perfect. I can’t say enough about how wonderful my day at the Ranch was. Can’t wait to come back!!!!

John was an excellent instructor 🤘 he gave me all the info I needed to feel secure and in control, and some great foundational instruction during freefall and chute navigation. The absolute best experience from the start. We had a group of about 10 people go and they help us from the start in scheduling it till the end with giving us great experiences by helping us jump. Joe answer all our concerns even on a sunday about any issues we had. All the instructors are professionals and fun. Very respectful and wore masks! No one from our group had a bad experience and we have memories that we will hold on forever! Shout out to Igor, my instructor!

I had the best experience ever!. My instructor John was amazing. He answered all my questions that I had.He made me feel safe the whole entire time when I was on land and when I was 14k feet in the air. My photographer/Videographer (forget his name) was excellent. I loved all my photos and I love how the video captured my whole experience at the ranch. I was definitely more scared riding the King Da Ka at SixFlags than jumping out of a plane!. 2022-06-22Truly loved my experience, including the staff’s importance on safety, which cancelled my original flight on Saturday (due to winds). This was my first time skydiving and everyone made it so seamless, including the front end of the house when it came to keeping me updated, caring for safety, and all accommodations they provided. Ben was my instructor/who I flew Tandem with and Tristan took my photos (amazing skill btw). Their energy, on top of the rest of the staff that were on the plane/front end of house, made the experience. There was truly no fear and everyone at The Ranch contributed to me feeling at peace with this experience. Would love to go again. Thank you so much y’all! Was a pleasure!

2022-05-09Probably the coolest thing Ive ever done!This was my first time skydiving and the entire experience was fantastic. The instructors were awesome and very experienced, trust them! There wasnt a single moment where I was concerned, I was comfortable from start to finish. Everything was clearly explained from getting on the plane to the ride up to jumping to landing and your harness is checked many times to ensure your safety.If youve ever considered skydiving, you should do it and make sure you come to Skydive The Ranch!Shoutout to Ben for being the best 🤙🏻

2022-07-02It’s obvious that the dive is the greatest part— but it’s the incredible warm staff that truly made my overall experience perfect.So let’s talk about customer service— I was a little nervous upon arriving (as I came here alone), but immediately, I was noticed, helped, and greeted by welcoming staff. You feel such a homey vibe here (Maybe it’s because life’s good when you get paid to jump out of a plane over and over again).Alright, now the jump. I think I had just about the coolest certified diver, Ben! I mean, you’d think “a jump is a jump, they have one job: make sure you don’t die.” But this one showed me some cool sights, repeated instructions multiple times to make sure I understood, had a great sense of humor, and (i think they might all do this) let me make an attempt to navigate the parachute.To everyone at the Ranch— thank you!! 5/5

2022-07-02Honestly one of the best things I have ever done! John was the best instructor I could have asked for. He explained every little detail and made me so comfortable. Tristen made me the most unbelievable video and Erin caught extra footage for me too! Every person at the Ranch is cool and kind and it is just a happy place to hang. Hugely recommend!

2022-06-28A few days ago I had my first jump with them. The whole experience was great. Staff and my instructor were very cool people. 100% will be coming back.

2022-06-07This was my first time jumping and my first time on the plane im so glad I chose this spot the instructor Brandon was a super cool dude and made the jump experience super fun im definitely going back when I can if they let me rate 10 stars I would!!! Tristan fappiano did an amazing job on the footage shout out to him and my instructor Brandon I hope to see them again if I ever go back they really helped motivated me walking to the plane I felt comfortable and the views were amazing cant wait for my second jump !

2022-04-22Decided to try skydiving for the first time on my 30th birthday and I had an incredible time thanks to Skydive The Ranch! Let me preface this by saying this is something I normally wouldn’t do because the thought of jumping out of a plane was terrifying but o you only turn 30 once, am I right? Upon arriving, I immediately felt better because I could tell I was with people that knew what they were doing. My instructor, John Dekowski, did a fantastic job of guiding me through the process and answering any questions (I had a lot of them). When ascending on the plane, John reassured me that it would be a great time and he was right! The jump from the plane gave me a rush that I’ve never felt before and the views were absolutely breathtaking. I’m still buzzing hours after the jump and give a lot of credit to John for making me comfortable while I overcame a fear. I can’t recommend Skydive The Ranch enough because of the views and the people that work there. I promise you’ll have a great time, don’t be afraid and try to go with John Dekowski if you can!

2022-06-29My heart belongs to skydive the ranch! I got my A license there, my coach rating there and now have the privilege of working as an AFF Instructor. I love this community, I love the beauty of the Hudson Valley and I love working in the sport!
