I highly recommend Dr. Cheban as your dentist.She is extremely professional.She preformed sinus lifting surgery on both sides of my mouth.I was very scared. However, when I met Dr. Cheban I knew that I could trust her. My surgery was a success. I felt no pain during the procedure, and my recovery was amazing, just as she had said it would be.Thank-you, Dra: Cheban.

Smile design center is a state of the art dentistry office. Dr Sapozhnik work is of high quality, and he is very attentive to details using the latest technology and techniques. He has put in place a secure environment and procedure to continue operate during COVID-19 and it making me feel safe when I go there. Overall very good experience. A year later, just got a crown done and the result is impeccable and same excellent experience.
I had the osseous procedure with Dr.Cheban. It was basically painless. The staff and Office is great. They checked on me after the surgery.
The Smile Design Center staff are topnotch--quality,h friendly, and professional. Dr. Sapozhnik is very knowledgeable and skillfull, with a calm and personable demeanor. Dr. Cheban, the periodontist, is a wonderful addition to the team. Such a bonus to have periodontic services to take extra special care of gum issues, etc. The support staff is awesome, too. Its good to have such a great dentistry team with high tech services available in our Hudson River Valley/Westchester area!
Ive been a patient of Dr. Sapozhnik for over 4 years and have found him to be an excellent dentist. He is very professional and does a very good job of explaining what the available options are, as well as making everything as painless as possible. His only concern is the patient so I know he wont recommend anything unless it is in the best interest of the patient. This also applies to the hygienist and other medical staff.The above opinion also applies to the dental office which is very nice and comfortable as well as the entire staff who are very friendly and professional and extremely efficint in each of their specialties including Dr. Mike. They are all a pleasure to work with..My review also applies to Martina the Hygienist and Dr. Chabon the Periodontist. They are both excellent at their jobs and do their best to make the experience as compfortable as possible and care about their patients.My experience has been extremely positive since coming here!

Today was my first visit as a new patient, and I was impressed! The whole process from making sure they accept my insurance to scheduling an appointment was very easy. I met with Martina, and she was lovely! Very kind and intelligent. What I loved most was that she was educating me throughout my whole appointment, it was very interesting. She also did an extremely good job with my cleaning.Would recommend!!
I was in need of a new Dentist and thought I would go for a consultation and see how it went. Understand I am a chicken (I added this to my information) but this had to be the best experience I have ever had at a Dentist office. Everything was explained in words anyone can understand and I didn’t feel pressured or anxious but only calm. I go back in a week or so to have some work done but right now I couldn’t be any happier. What a great place. The staff is so friendly and nice. I can update this after my next appointment but so far I feel like this will be the Dentist for me. You won’t be disappointed.
Dr Sapozhnik and the entire staff are wonderful. I went to them needing a root canal and permanent cap and am beyond happy with the results. Their attention to detail is fantastic. The office is clean, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You never have to wait, if they are running behind they will let you know before you come so that you dont have to wait. They really make the entire experience of going to a dentist enjoyable.
The customer service of the entire team is 10+, the technology they use is the latest in the market. They all have patience and ask you all the time are you okay. Dentist are not my favorite… but I love you guys.My favorite DR. Alla Cheban
I had a great visit today at Smile Design Center. Every staff member was welcoming towards me and very accommodating. Martina was working with me today and she is so super sweet! I needed a syringe to clean out under my gums and she was eager and happy to give me one to use as a water pick and take home! This was so sweet. My cleaning went very smoothly thanks to Dr. Sapozhnik and Martina. Additionally, the ladies at the front desk were super kind and bubbly, making my experience pleasant from the second I walked in until I walked out. I was truly treated like family here. I look forward to my next appointment to get my wisdom teeth out.
I have had nothing besides positive experiences with Dr Sapozhnik and his staff; from filling cavities, root canals, putting in crowns and just the other day, a tooth extraction and implant. He does everything. A friend of mine had to see both a dentist and oral surgeon, and paid considerably more than I did, for the same extraction and implant.His entire staff has been friendly, polite and helpful. I recommend this office highly without any reservations.
This was my first visit to the dentist since Covid and I was really nervous, however the office was extremely clean, all the protocols were in place to make me feel safe. Also I felt my questions were heard and not rushed.. all my concerns that were listed on my contact form were discussed. I can’t remember the young lady that did my cleaning “M” extremely caring and made sure I knew everything she was doing and why. Thanks guys, see you next week
Dr. Cheban is very professional, attentive and masterful at her craft! She performed gum surgery and to this day I am still amazed every time I look in the mirror. Her work on me was praised by several of my closest friends in the field. She always followed up with me throughout the lengthy process and explained in detail what was being done. Dr. Cheban is fantastic and I highly recommended!! Couldn’t be happier.

Very friendly Doctors and Staff. Always make me feel welcome and their priority. Even with their many patients, I never have the feeling of being rushed or that the Doctors don’t have time. They always seem to have time to talk and joke around with me. I feel VERY comfortable and confident in their ability to administer first class dental service! I strongly recommend their services!Just visited for my first time after COVID-19 craziness and I was absolutely impressed in the measures taken to ensure both mine and the staffs safety! I’m so highly impressed with the amazing care I received at Smile Design. The exam rooms were spotlessly clean, each patient rinses their mouth with hydrogen peroxide to ensure there is no germ exposure and my cleaning went very well. The staff is truly wonderful, patient and welcoming even from the moment you walk in the door. I can’t wait to go back again to this amazing dental office. The cleaning was great and I had very little pain. 5 stars for Smile Design Center 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠Highly recommended!!!

I needed to find a new place to go and I came across this office. I must say I have been to several over the years and this is definitely the best thus far. The initial appointment was extremely thorough. Other places give you the standard assessment but they went above and beyond.The doctor is wonderful. Hes nice, gentle and knowledgeable. The staff is great too but in particular, Malaysia stood out to me as shes kind and fun to chat with. The location is convenient and they also have a parking lot. If theres an issue with the appointment they will accommodate. Im so happy I found my new place.
Had to change my dentist from NYC to closer to where I live in Westchester. THIS WAS THE BEST DECISION I EVER MADE. Every single staff member at Smile Design Center is smart, calm, and thoughtful. They really do a great job. There is also a cool modern feel once you are inside.ps. Dr. Mike is the man.

My wife and I both had our first exam and cleaning with the new Carona virus protocols. We were very impressed by all of the health and safety steps taken by the doctor and his entire staff. We both felt at ease and very comfortable being treated at this state of the art office. All staff members are professional, knowledgeable, and personable. We look forward to having our dental needs taken care of by this team for many years.We had our follow up exam and cleaning on Thursday, 9/17/2020 and had the same great experience. Both of our dentists retired after over 40 years of taking care of our teeth. We have been going to Smile Design Center of Croton for the last few years and are very pleased with the care we are receiving by the doctor and his entire staff.

He took all of the steps to make sure I knew exactly what was going on, and to provide me with the best care possible. My dental assistant Malaysia and the entire staff were amazing. Another fantastic experience at Smile Design! This was my second dental cleaning since Covid quarantine started and they outfitted the office to provide the best level of safety. Martina gave a very thorough cleaning and Dr. Ilya provided his usual exam, always concerned for my dental health.
I went here one time as my dentist was on vacation, I needed a new veneer as my old one chipped. I was worried about finding the proper dentist that would color match and do a good job . I was very happy with the results. It was a perfect match. I returned for a cleaning and they did a thorough cleaning with a full set of xrays. I recieved a better service . I would highly recommend their services. The office is clean and employees are informative and professional.

Everyone in the office is extremely professional. A positive tone is set by Dr. Sapozhnik which translates to all the support personnel. All the latest equipment is used for an optimal outcome whether it be a new cap or a more routine cleaning. The office is spotless and safe. I was very impressed that the receptionist called in the morning to have me come in at a slightly different time to minimize my wait time to less than a couple of minutes. Using my husbands gmail account, but I brought my Dad in for an adjustment to his lower denture. He was in pain. The doctor trimmed and cushioned the denture perfectly. My father just finished dinner and can’t stop raving about the excellent job the doctor did. We won’t be going anywhere else. This is our new dentist.

Hygienist Martina did a great job, was very warm and provided all the information that I need. She made sure that I was comfortable and answered all my queries. Dr. Sapozhnik Was very nice and pointed out all the things that needs to be done. They also observe strict protocols in regards to Covid. Overall I had a great experience on my first visit.

We have been through a lot of surgical treatments with implant placements and restorations and my teeth never looked so great and feel even better. This has been by far the best dental experience I’ve had. I started coming to Dr. Sapozhnik about a year ago. I’ve never had to wait more than 5 mins at the most. The office is stunning with all new state of the art equipment. He truly cares about the patients experience and even remembers conversations we have had months ago! This is the first time I have written a review for anyone, but it is beyond deserving.After TWO (2) dentists, with stellar credentials and 40+ years of combined experience, destroyed my smile, I conducted a thorough search for a dentist who could deliver a natural cleaner looking, brighter and broader smile.After consulting with SIX (6) renowned dentists, I opted to go with Dr. Sapozhnik. He checked ALL the boxes for a complicated case, these include:*Knowledgable;*Detailed-Oriented;*Accessible;*Listened to my concerns and my desired outcome;*Caring, Humble, and charismatic;*Clean Office--especially by taking every precaution during COVID-19,*Up-to-date Equipment,*Excellent Staff (The entire practice is professional, courteous, and friendly--they genuinely make you feel you are their top priority); and,*Extremely reasonable rates.Dr. Sapozhnik took the challenge of replacing two (2) crowns, placing six (6) porcelain veneers, along with whitening and laser gum recontouring to broaden and brighten my entire smile. His work added harmony to the aesthetics of my smile. He understood that the teeth size, even if this was fractions of millimeters, impacted the faces entire flow. The previous crowns had a poor fit, which distorted my speech and confidence! I am writing this review on behalf of my father-in-law, as my husband and I have witnessed the pain and frustration first-hand and felt the need to share his experience to warn others. My father-in-law went in for a regular cleaning, and the dentist took it upon himself to perform a deep clean instead which is much more invasive. Being a senior citizen, my father-in-law was expecting a bit more gentleness and care, and he was concerned with how painful the procedure was, compared to his usual cleaning hes gotten elsewhere. After the procedure he realized that his bite was uneven. Something had been shifted during the deep cleaning and caused a tooth to become displaced, which was painful and frustrating. For months, he was unable to eat without pain, he had severe headaches, he couldnt sleep properly, and even his speech was effected. This was all from just wanting to get a routine cleaning. He went back multiple times to try and have the dentist fix it, and he was unsuccessful. Instead, my father-in-law had to find another dentist who ended up having to extract the tooth, which was an expensive procedure his insurance wouldnt cover, so he had to pay this out of pocket. Had he just gotten the regular cleaning he asked for, he would have never had this tooth pulled.We cannot help but believe this dentist was pursuing a more costly procedure to bill the insurance company for, which resulted in my father-in-law spending months in discomfort, and physical and mental pain. This dentist is located in the neighborhood of a senior living community as well as a nursing home, so I hope that he learns from this and does not put another senior through an unnecessarily invasive procedure just to gain more money.EDIT: As you can see the dentist has replied, understandably. I will state that my FIL does not, did not, nor has ever had severe periodontal disease, but I guess thats neither here nor there. Clearly this dentist has lots of wonderful reviews and I dont dispute that hes probably done a great job for a lot of his patients. The only reason I shared this story was to caution other seniors (who may not have an advocate for them) to just be aware and speak up for themselves if theyre uncomfortable.
Didnt know how painless a wisdom tooth removal could be. Everyone in the office was friendly and responsive, which helped me feel calm going into the procedure. It took maybe a total of 30 min. and then I was out, tooth in hand. Quick, clean, and after the first couple days, pain-free.
Very friendly and laid back office. Everyone is very professional and Dr. Sapozhnik is a great dentist! Fixed my chipped tooth three years ago and it’s still holding strong. 10/10 would recommend!
Ilya is a very down to earth guy who is very professional, and makes each visit a positive experience for his patients. The girls who work in the office are also extremely nice and always welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone in need of dental work.

Dr. Sapozhnik is absolutely incredible. Dont let his age fool you! I am beyond impressed with the quality of services I have been receiving and I am very very hard to please. He is very smart, meticulous, competent, very personal and has a very gentle touch. His presence makes all the pain and worries about seeing a dentist go away. He is genuinely caring and personally called me after a complicated procedure to make sure that I was feeling well and was following his post-op instructions. He made himself available to answer any questions I had whether it was late in the evening or the weekend. I highly recommend him to all my family members and friends. First, considering going to the dentist can be a bit scary, the professional and friendly environment was quite inspiring, thus, quieting any fears of the procedure I was about to experience...(by the way, although I was a bit fearful, simultaneously I was looking forward to my visit and the exceptional care I thought I would receive....I was referred to the Smile Design Center -Croton on Hudson NY by another exceptional Doctor that takes care of some of our most prized possessions....OUR TEETH....As it is said by many, and it happens to be quite true, Theres nothing like having our own teeth.To note, prior, I had experienced some not so good care although I (thought) I had been.... however; after experiencing a few very disconcerting moments causing me to lose trust in the dentist I had been going to for quite some time I decided Id be a fool to return. That being said, I am quite happy to be in responsible hands. I TRUST that I am in exceptional hands and I am looking forward to having all of my dental needs (and they are needs), at the Smile Design Center -Croton on Hudson NY. I must reiterate, I am quite inspired knowing that I am in good hands.Trusting our physicians, no matter the area of expertise, is most essential. My regular dentists office was booked up for 9 months so I came here for a cleaning instead just based on convenience; I temporarily relocated to the area. What a great decision! The waiting area is welcoming, the whole place is painted lilac purple and the rooms have a TV playing natural scenery and soothing music. Dr. Ilya did the cleaning, Im used to a dental hygienist doing it and then dentist just checking afterwards for 30 seconds. He was able to spot a cavity immediately after I opened my mouth that my regular dentist missed. I was able to get my cavity filled at the same session as the cleaning. I came back within a week to get 2 more cavities filled and one turned out to need a root canal, which he performed impromptu in 20 minutes. The last time I had a cavity, my regular dentist had me come in in 2 weeks. Dr. Ilya really took the time to explain to me how to spot cavities in xrays, process of root canals, dental molds, picking out dental crowns. This is really funny because my regular dentist teaches at a local colleges dental hygiene program, but he has never explained anything to me before. Wish I could come here permanently, but this was only a temporary relocation.PS. I really like how he doesnt use a dental lamp, but instead has a light on his glasses. Much less blinding!
Llya, the dentist, has been nothing but nice since we first visited the establishment three years ago. He knows how to do teeth and I have not met a better dentist than him. He has worked on me and my moms teeth. Most dentist take pleasure in using a jack hammer to your mouth as they enjoy the patients pain but Llya is a professional and does his job. We have been going to him for years and will continue to do so. -- Looking to get veeners in the near future. --considerate, nice, thorough, top notch. Those are the words that describe both him and his facilty/workers.

Im reading all this good comments on this dentist.Now, I feel that I was just unlucky, or he was having a bad day, but with me he was just rude & disrespectful.Im 64 years old, and mentioned to him I thought Medicare will cover for a new partial when I reach 65. This dentist said Do you think that when u reach 65 MEDICARE is going to say HERE IS A PARTIAL FOR YOUI felt sooooooo embarrazed & disrespected. I couldnt believe what I was hearing !!!!!!!!I dont know if he was trying to be funny (bad taste)

2022-02-11The staff are professional, friendly, and courteous. Everything at the location seems to be up to date; feels clean and crisp. I had a root canal performed, and they even checked in with me the next day to see how I was doing. I feel at ease with all the workers here and honestly cannot think of a single complaint. Strongly recommend this office.

2022-04-01I switched to this practice a while ago and I’m so glad I did. Initially, I was a bit skeptical because the place almost seemed to be too good to be true. I half expected to see exorbitant fees on my final bill, despite my having dental insurance, but their fees are comparable to my old dentist. Maybe I was just so accustomed to bad experiences at dentist that I didnt expect anything different?This place was a totally different and positive experience for me. First off, making an appointment was easy. The staff was really pleasant and tried to work with my schedule. The office is immaculate and has state of the art equipment. The hygienist gave me the best cleaning of my life and explained everything as she worked on me. Dr. Sapozhnik and Dr. Cheban are both highly skilled in their area of expertise. They did a great job on a dental implant that I had been putting off for years, and somehow made the experience practically pain free. I sent my son to see the other dentist and he had a similar positive experience with him too. So, if you aren’t happy with your current dental office, you should really try this place. I think you’ll be happy you did.

2021-12-16I Highly recommend Smile design! Dr. Alla Cheban! she is a great doctor, great bedside manner , very gentle! she genuinely cares about her patients. I felt very at ease with her while she worked on my teeth she made the procedure seamless! Not to mention they offer very advanced techniques that can save your teeth as it is in my case. I would not hesitate to make an appointment if you need major dental surgery. Book your appointment with her! I have always been extremely anxious going to the dentist. This experience put me at rest. I would definitely recommend this office and dentist.

2022-06-14My experience with Dr. Cheban & Dr. Sapozhnik at the Smile Design Center has been extremely pleasant. The entire staff made sure I was comfortable and in as little discomfort as possible. I am highly impressed with my experience and can not believe the low level of discomfort for the extensive work that was done after a botched root canal from another dentist.

They are kind, courteous, and really make you feel comfortable before what could be a nerve wracking experience! Dr. Sapozhnik is personable, efficient, and his work is just absolutely amazing. I have got one root canal and too many fillings I’d like to admit and my visits were a great, PAINLESS experience. And his wonderful staff is just the icing on the cake!

2022-04-03I have been coming to the office for the past four years. Dr. Cheban and Dr. Sapozhnik are excellent. Six implants have been placed for the upper and lower dentures on implants. Cost is very reasonable for an amazing result. Now I can eat everything including hamburger, steak, even a bread stick :). I’m treated in the office as a family. Thank you Smile Design Center.
