First restaurant experience in NY.Rude and apathetic customer service. No salmon was ready for lunch, they seemed Ill preparedThe chicken was bone dry and bland, seemed as if they cooked it over three times. The side of carrots were nice and watermelon salad was great.Would not recommend.
This is my very first time writing a bad review. So that should tell you how mad this place made me. I ordered a sandwich and a hibiscus tea with lemonade added. The drink was really good, and the sandwich was just ok. The bread was really stale and it barely had any apples on the sandwich (which was supposed to be a main ingredient). The part that made me mad though was the price. I paid $10 for hardly any food. I got the sandwich back and it was tiny. And I turned to the girl at the register and said, Excuse me, but is this a half sandwich? and she quickly said Yes, thats how we sell them and immediately turned to another customer, as if to ignore me. This place is not worth the money, its not as good as they must think it is.
This was my first negative experience at SmileTo Go. The food and pastries are always amazing. Now although the employees are not the most personable people in customer service, they reply when you say good morning or they offer it first, barely. But thats all I really need. Im not a morning person either, but I also dont work in customer service. Today, only 5 minutes ago, after paying for my breakfast, it was left on the counter. I guess she figured I would pick it up, walk outside with it in my hand, not in a bag and that would be ok. I asked for a bag and that also was left on the counter. I picked the bag up and put my own sandwich in the bag. She moved on to the next customer. I decided against making a spectacle and left. Hopefully someone will read this and offer a class to the employees on proper etiquette when working in serving paying customers at their establishment. I will try another location. Maybe I will have better luck and receive a Smile To Go.
As one member of staff serves oatmeal for one customer, another tells you with a deadpan expression they cannot serve you oatmeal as they have completely sold out. Happened two days running. If, like me, you dont meet Smile To Gos stringent qualifying standards for purchasing oatmeal, Cafe Bari on Broadway and Canal around the corner serve great oatmeal.

2019-11-08Great spot for picking up coffee, soups or sandwiches. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. Be advised that this a high quality, busy, but tiny place. Seating is not really an option here.

2022-02-04I love the market salads here. There are always a couple of vegan options, raw vegetable and cooked/roasted vegetables, and a starch side (like pasta salad or couscous salad).Update (2/2022): salads are tasty. Service is so rude and hostile that I now actively avoid this place for lunch. Also, stop putting out stale pastries.

2022-04-19I had the best sandwich here. Manouri cheese with fig jam was mind blowing! Flavor combination was superb! Must try!

2018-11-22Great little lunch spot in SoHo! Unassuming from outside, it has great, healthier food options and excellent coffee. I pop in here almost every time I’m in the area.

2018-09-03Wonderful little spot offering sandwich and salad freshly made and with prime ingredients.Coffee is good and they even have a quite real Italian espresso.Premises are little but cozy.Staff is fast, efficient and always with a smile. With about 11$ you can have a choice of three mains and a large bowl.Loved the environment friendly attitude.Definitely a place to visit

2018-11-08Great spot! Healthy food, tasty, and incredibly warm staff. The spot is a little tight, so if your here during the lunch rush hour it might be hard to sit.The prices are a tad expensive , but well worth it.

2022-02-16Food is really good but a bit over priced. My problem is THE BLODNE DUDE THAT WORKS THERE!! Literally the worst vibes I’ve ever encountered. Every time I enter this establishment I am ASSAULTED by his negative energy.

2018-10-30I love this place so much! The food is delicious, fresh and healthy. My favorite is the breakfast burrito and the salads are excellent. The place has a great vibe and you can tell that the food is made with love. I also really like that they compost and operate their business with environmental integrity. Finally, don’t leave without a cookie or a chocolate chip oat ball!

2017-06-19Tiny little sandwich / bake shop with great coffee drinks. The food is great but its kind of expensive for what you get. Its easy to spend ~$15 for lunch which is surprising. They have a rotating variety of fresh, yummy salads too.On weekdays, there can be a line out the door for lunch because its really popular with the Soho locals.

2019-09-05Visited today for some fresh and healthy food. The eggplant was delicious, and I combined it with the watermelon with arugula, which was a refreshing savoury and sweet plate. Staff were super cute and friendly, and helpful when deciding what to order. Thanks guys!
