Quick service.Extensive menu choices.Great suggestion by the waitress.Very reasonable prices.Funky ambience but tastefully arranged.Cold A/C!They accept American Express cards. The pulled pork sandwich is very tasty. Toasted buns, which I dont find often. Skinny fries on the side - not salted? Well done regardless and you can simply add your own salt.
This place is great have good food, problem is its a little bit too expensive for what its being advertised for and the barbecue foodies looks good on pictures but some of your barbecue food is not good at all. Ordered a brisket sandwich with some fries, the brisket was a little bit tough not even soft thats asign that that brisket was not fresh or maybe was microwaved. I asked for to go and requested for barbecue sauce to go moments of spending over $20 the lady is asking to pay for barbecue sauce thats ridiculous guys they should be an improvement to giving customers what they need worth of the pay. you need to improve on cooking better french fries and make them fresh. Please dont stop customers overcooked food and dont microwave it especially to go customers dont assume we dont notice these things the only problem is we already have spent that money. Good thing is we do have comments and posts like this one. Overall you guys have good food you just need to improve on some of this small issues.
The staff here is very friendly and I liked the bbq sauce but the food itself was really disappointing. The brisket was very dry, tough, and not cooked well, same with the ribs. The potato salad tasted very odd, we spit it out. Unfortunately it was the worst bbq food I’ve ever had.
We ordered fish fries and a scallop dinner from Smokin Little Diner on a Wednesday night. We have ordered from so many restaurants for take out over the past year and I have to say that the staff here have it right! Our fish was still crunchy and warm, as were the scallops! (We live about 20 minutes from the restaurant, too). The regular size fish fry came in a box. The scallops came in a Styrofoam container, but had aluminum foil separating the cole slaw. The mac salads were in plastic containers keeping them separated as well. All the food was - especially the mashed potatoes!!! I will be ordering from here again and again!
We tryed this place . The service was wonderful . We ordered the bbq platter. The ribs were tough recooked and then over sauced to cover up dryness. As was the pulled pork. Mac and cheese crazy good. I’m giving this 3 stars because the service was so good. I will try another menu item and give another shot. We all have bad days
We can for lunch with little kids. The food was delicious, the kids loved the pig shaped pancakes. I had the pulled pork sandwich with the Original BBQ sauce, yum! Our waitress was very nice and right on top of everything. Its a cozy space, but cute, the kids enjoyed looking at all the pigs. Well be back!
Real 50s Diner in the heart of Depew. The speciality of the house is Pig, in all its BBQ glory. I had the pulled pork Sandwich with BBQ baked beans on the side. The pork was a huge helping of real Qd pork. Moist, tender and the house sauce is not to be missed. I had the regular sauce and it was just sweet enough, with a smokey snap to it, Yummy. Beans had the Cherry sauce which was tangy fruit but not over done, a nice balanced sauce. I snapped it up with some Tabasco and had a mighty nice meal . I tried 3 sauces in all and they were all unique and calling me back for more. Chicken Alla KIng was the special of the night and considering what a cold wet snowy night, it was the perfect comfort food, a heart warming dish for my companion. Rich tasty gravy with chunks of chicken and veggies over 3 home made biscuits and a huge helping of creamy mashed potatoes that I could not stop eating. It was a huge platter but it was all gone in no time and the bowl licked clean !The star of the show, no doubt, are the HAWG wings !Tender drums of lovingly BBQd pork with a perfect glaze of their house sauce, were most succulent bit of pork I have never heard of ! All meat and it tugged off the bone in the way that says perfection in Q.HUge menu served super quick and friendly by waitress Brittany. We will be back for more, breakfast, dinner and HAWG wings!!
Just stopped in for the first time and Ill def be coming back. Everything and everyone there was awesome. The Halloween decor alone had me when I walked into the parking lot. The interior is so decked out I felt like I could throw a party in this place. The servers were awesome and knowledgeable on their recommendations. I got the Reuben, which was perfectly cooked and not anything complicated. Just simple and tasty. My friend got the pulled pork sandwich. He rarely finishes his food, but he ate that up. Also, the pulled pork quesadilla was amazing! We also got the pulled pork Mac... understand that even if thats all you get, its a lot. So be prepared to take some home. All n all, wouldnt hesitate to come back. Im already planning on trying the breakfast menu next time.
The service was amazing, and the food was fabulous! Not many restaurants put so much effort in to every aspect of the food and its flavor. The extra effort they are making (right down to making the hot sauce on the table) on every level really shows. Dont miss out on this place!
To start off for a BBQ place this is now my favorite. I had gotten the pulled pork sandwich and was very pleased. The barbecue sauce was tasteful and the meat was very tender. The only thing I have to complain about is the atmosphere was very small and stuffy. With all that I will definitely be coming back to enjoy more.
Well, I cant lie... I had a few drinks before I went. The waitress was awesome, very down to earth, fun and funny! Prices are good, my food was great. My wife and I both had the bacon cheeseburger. Medium for me, well done for her. Hers was so over done it was charred/ burnt on the bottom. She ate it and never complained. If youve ever seen the movie Waiting about restaurant life, youd understand why we have a strict rules against sending food back... ;)We will definitely be back, one burnt burger isnt stopping from trying again!!
It is mentioned here on their google profile that they offer curbside pick up so I called to place an order on a friday at 3:30pm before dinner rush.I ordered the big smoker and since my toe is broken and I have kids I asked for curbside and in a very unpleasant tone the person on the phone said: we dont do curbside pick on friday nights. I mentioned my toe and she repeated herself. Where is the Buffalo hospitality? Arent we the city of good neighbors? You cant make an exception?Anyways, I ordered since reviews here are good. My honest opinion is I got super dry ribs that were so dry they were like beef jerky, dry Brisket and the pulled pork that was ok.The sides to my opinion are small and overall I dont think it was worth it.
Cute little diner in Depew. The food was good-standard diner bbq fare. The pig decor was interesting, I wont forget the Miss Piggy plush placement for quite some time! 4 stars because we were there for almost an hour for our food and it wasnt that busy of a lunch rush.
I ordered a fish fry to go. Its a 20-minute Drive from the diner to home. It was still warm and crisp when I arrive. Food is fantastic coleslaw with great macaroni salad. Very hard to find takeout that isnt soggy by the time you get home! I will definitely be picking up or fish fries!
Had eggs Benedict. They were awesome. The 2 servers were happy friendly, on there game. Didnt wait on food long, even though all tables were full. Home fries were great also. My friend had a western egg omelet. It was filled nicely with all the goodies. Great place. Ill be going back again.
First time there it was my daughter and myself we had pulled pork potato skins for an appetizer and I had mac and cheese with pulled pork on it absolutely huge portion also came with Texas toast my daughter had alfredo everything was delicious and reasonably priced will definitely go back again!
Weve been wanting to try this place for a long time. Im so glad we did!! Small, very quaint sitting area. Wide variety of food selections, my husband got the kickin chicken and was thrilled. I got the stuffed pepper and steak sandwich, I thought it would be chewy being a full piece of steak, not shaved, but it was so tender. The service was so friendly and quick. Everyone was treated like a regular. Prices were very reasonable. This will be a go to place for us. Cant wait to try the breakfast menu!!
This place took me by surprise the first time I went, and I’ve been back several times since. It’s a must-visit for the decor and atmosphere alone; I thought little diners like this only existed in the movies. This evening I got the balsamic chicken, mashed potatoes, and fresh steamed broccoli. It was ALL amazing. I’ve had bbq here before. I personally am not a big fan of bbq, and I thought the sauces were nothing to write home about, but maybe I just tried the wrong ones. The fries are decent, the milkshakes are good, and the homemade desserts are fantastic too.The staff are always so friendly, even though the place is tiny but always packed, and I’m sure they get stressed, but they never even break a sweat. Super efficient, quick, helpful service. Can’t speak highly enough of them.I definitely recommend this place for couples or small groups of three or four. Even someone eating alone could sit at the counter. But like I said, the place is tiny, so don’t expect them to be able to seat larger parties.
First time here and I wont be the last. Tried 2 of the signature sauces (original and bourbon) and was very impressed. The smoked pork wings were exceptional. Good, solid pink and moo (hamburger with pulled pork) is something I will go back for. Looking forward to trying their breakfast menu next time.
The Smokin little diner is a phenomenal place. Visiting the Buffalo area and finding a place like this is a real blessing. The food is out of sight delicious. Reasonable price you wont be disappointed. The service is so friendly it makes you feel at home! Belly busting meals for sure!
A warm old-school atmosphere with amazing customer service. The meat was of decent quality and their barbecue sauces were absolutely amazing. The waitress new the quality of good beef was very knowledgeable about the company and their products. We will definitely be faithful customers whenever we are in the area.
The food was delicious. I had the BBQ pulled pork, w BBQ baked beans, & mac salad. It was awesome ! ! ! I also loved the variety of different BBQ sauces they offered. The workers were all very friendly. I would definitely eat there again & I highly recommend to try this place out.
Okay little diner. My wife & I had late breakfast there a week ago and it was okay. The waitress was great. Very friendly and our food was delivered promptly and wasnt bad. Wasnt great, but not bad.My scrambled eggs were quite undercooked. Very runny inside and not hot.The French toast was also, just okay. Mushy inside and slightly burned on the surface. The sausage links were huge! Probably the best part of my meal. Coffee was pretty good too.My wife had an omelet and thought it was good, but small compared to most other places we go to. Her biggest complaint was the place was so cold inside. There was a vent in the floor that was blowing cold air on her legs, and not just a little draft, it was blowing hard! Not sure why, as there was a lot of warm air blowing from the ceiling which helped but even i was cold and Im almost always too hot.She moved to the other side of the table to gain distance from the air but it didnt help much. I ended up putting my jacket over it and she kept her coat on the entire time.
The dishes were EXTREMELY clean! I was so impressed with the quality and effort the dish washer put in to making sure the silverware sparkled . If you value good food served clean this is the restaurant for you! Hats off to the kitchen staff! ESPECIALLY THE DISHWASHER BECAUSE YOU NEVER SEE DISHES THAT CLEAN EVER!!!!
A great little place. Friendly and good food. Well worth a stop if you like bbq. I had a pulled pork sandwich that was tender and tasty. The person next to me had goulash which looked very good as well. The place is small and seems to be popular with th locals as I was the only one there whom they didnt seem to know.
Wow, the aesthetic really gets me going. I dig the 50s look. One of my favorite things about this place is the different coffee mugs. Reminds me of my grandmas house. The food is phenomenal (disclaimer Ive only ever had breakfast). But its never let me down. The BBQ is fantastic, 5/5 would recommend
When I first walked in I was a lil unsure, it’s a kitschy retro 50s style dinner...but let me tell you this place isnt just some dinner...it’s great, its an ex’s Perrin was and it’s perfection! Great food, great servers, very friendly welcoming atmosphere, the banter between regulars is entertaining. I love the blue raz pork chops and the HUGE plate of Mac and cheese. Good prices and big portions. Personally It’s a lil out of my way or I would be there all the time... and it’s still worth the drive cause we love it! I wish I had been sooner. I’ll keep coming back kinda like a boomerang you could say? LolGreat job!
Very cute little diner. It has a very small town feel. You walk in and pick where you want to sit. Has lots of good options on the menu. Just wish they had brisket. The waitress was super nice as well. My husband and I actually look forward to going back and trying breakfast there.
Me and my fiance came here with the intent of getting breakfast food, but we ended up getting some amazing BBQ and Texas Hots! We got the queso dippers with pulled chicken and their own mellow mandarin bbq sauce. It was to die for! I couldnt get enough! My fiance got a half rack of ribs with the brandied cherry bbq sauce and he loved it! The ribs were so tender they were literally falling off the bone! I highly recommend this place! Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Will definitely come again!
My boyfriend and I showed up at 1130 and had a delicious breakfast at the diner. The food was fresh, warm and flavorful, the service was quick and great. Most importantly everyone was friendly and polite :) We will definitely be going back soon. Oh and tonight we are having pulled BBQ chicken with the yummy homemade BBQ sauce we bought on the way out!
Nice little diner and a must stop for visitors. The food is tasty and the staff are always friendly. It is a small diner so if you have a large party maybe do take out but itll be worth it. They also sell bbq sauces all of which are delicious. I recommend the Apple flavor one.
This place is seriously a hidden gem, although the its not hiding too hard on Broadway. This little diner pumps out some seriously delicious bbq, with some amazing sauces to boot. They honestly have something for everyone, so this is a needed stop if youre in the area. In addition, the breakfast menu is top notch...I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy. Actually, I have yet to have something off this menu that I havent raved about. Speaking of, get the beans
I absolutely love this place! Its this cute lil diner packed with deliciousness with the friendliest staff!I normally stick with the pulled pork, and if you do too you MUST try all their different BBQ sauces!Todays special is a BBQ grilled cheese on Texas toast, so.. That alone should sell you on this place. Its like every little thing they do is magic!
We really love diners and the Smokin Little Diner is now our go to diner. Surprisingly not busy, grabbed a seat and our waitress, who was great, got us on the path to a great diner. We each had French onion soup (YUM!) to start with and a sandwich and there was no room for desert after. My wife said her BBQ pulled pork sandwich was excellent and that will be on my check list next time. Quick, friendly, great food with a vibe only a real diner can provide, you might be wasting your time at a larger restaurant nearby. We are looking forward to breakfast and Im sure it wont disappoint.
One of the best unknown places around! Family owned, really great and friendly service. The food is all home made and fabulous. Everything Ive tried has been great. The Hog Wings are to die for. My daughter gets the loaded nachos, Ive also had the Pastrami sandwich, but Id order it with a milder cheesr. The spicy cheese over powers the meat which is awesome. We go here a lot its always the first choice when going out. They arent open on Sunday though.
We use to love going here, however there was a new waitress a few months back. She was rude, just put our plates on the table and walked away. Didnt offer my grandson colors and a book like everyone else, no refills, and just not a happy person. We tried another time and recieve chose to the same treatment. I had been going there off and on for about a year prior, even taking my out of town in-laws there. But after she started we no longer go. We went in a couple of times and always saw her working and didnt want to take a chance of her being our waitress. I dont know if it was because we are a same sex couple or that she just has a problem with not being a good waitress. But we no longer eat ther. BUT the food is awesome. Sad.
The name says it all, this is one smoking hot little diner!!!! Love the stainless steel decor, that you can tell the owner put alot of hard work into. But the hard work doesnt stop there, because the kitchen is tearing it up, from amazing burgers and sandwiches, to their off the charts BBQ!!! If youre in the area or even if youre not, its worth the drive and the time. This place is truly a diamond in the rough!!!!
FANTASTIC!!!! This isnt just bbq... I got the eggs benedict and my fiance got the sausage gravy biscuits, we also split the Belgian waffle w the cin. apple lovin stuffin... the bacon was soo goooood as well ...you can tell everything is quality and there is love in every bite. Been searching for a diner like this. Ill definitely be back 5 stars!!
Just had the pork belly sandwich special with slaw and habenero peach sauce. Just a perfect sandwich. Daughter had a homemade sloppy joe special. Very good. Also homemade deserts. Everything was just right. Just a little confused on the BBQ menu. Dont see your traditional rib/pull pork combos.
I cant say enough about this place. Seriously THE. BEST. BBQ. ive had since the south. I had a pulled pork sandwhich and fries. Also a side of mac and cheese. Mac was amazing. Pulled pork was to die for. Cant wait to go back and try all of thier house made bbq sauces!!
Misleading name on the diner. Alot of the food was pre-made flash frozen, the Buttermilk grave was pre-made powder with real buttermilk put in. The Country fried stake was the pre-made frozen 1s from places like sysco, it was then deep fried and delivered Greasy. If you are going to advertise smokin in your name it should have smoked beef or pork. Nothing in here is smoked. The best they have is grilling on propane.I gave it a 2nd star simply because of the fact that they did have some real mashed potatoes. But the pre-made powdered gravy with butter milk and the pre-made flash frozen items that they served and the menu with way more on it than what is needed just makes this place not worth it. Stream line your menu. Smoke the product like you advertise or at least BBQ it with real charcoal, That brings a flavor that propane can not.I will not be eating here again even though I live right around the corner from it. I come from the south, I know what these items are supposed to taste like and this was not it. This was the typical pre made flash frozen crud served up that I can get anywhere. There is no love or thought put in to it.
Terrible!!!!!!!!!!! Multiple health code violations going on in this place. For starters, put a freakin hat on your cooks. The trashy loud mouth cook announcing her drunken party escapades to everyone in the diner was pretty unprofessional. Really scraped the bottom of the barrel for employees here.
Ok been too a lot of BBQ places but this was quite unique, diner set up , employees were very hospatile, I had the pork belly, my friend had the chicken-moo, both were mouth watering...I am probably comin here once a week......they have 9 different sauces to choose from...My next conquest is a oink-moo.....Woo Great Place...

2022-01-30One of the best restaurants on the east coast. Dont be fooled by the diner appearance or simple menu, the food tasted like farm to table. Everything tasted like it was homemade and the ingredients are quality. I ordered the Mac and cheese, meatloaf, mash potatoes and carrots. So good! The pies could win an award. Definitely will be back.As a side note, the service was better than a lot of 5 start restaurants.

2022-04-13What an excellent little diner! We came here after seeing the stellar reviews on Google and were not disappointed. The food was excellent, the meat was nice and smokey. Prices were pretty reasonable.Obviously seating is very limited due to the nature of the building but its well worth any wait. Bonus points to Miss Piggy on the light.

2022-02-02Small local place that absolutely delivers a great product and great experience. The atmosphere is fantastic. The decor is that of a classic hole in the wall diner without being cheap or run down, and the experience couldnt be more positive. Everything was kept clean and sanitized and I felt relaxed though the place was busy. The portions are large and the prices reasonable. Not to mention the BBQ was down right delicious. Coleslaw was some of the best Ive had and the Mac and cheese bubbly and fresh and creamy. The brisket was juicy and well cooked, the ribs the perfect amount of tenderness without absolutely falling apart, and the pulled chicken was amazing as well. French fries were fresh, hot, and not over or undercooked: perfect. They have tons of BBQ sauces so make sure to try a few. None of them were bad and all different and each with a great flavor. Lastly the staff was super lovely and wonderful and I felt well taken care of even with the place almost full. Specifically my server Britney was a joy, made sure everything was to my liking and that I was taken care of. I have never had better service from any waitstaff in my experience and I hope she is there when I return soon to enjoy more food. I cannot recommend this place high enough. If youre in the area, you need to stop by.

2022-05-18We happened upon this diner on a search of Google when we were looking for a local diner as we were visiting from out of town. Fantastic food! The brisket and pulled pork were moist and tasted phenomenal. We have plenty of BBQ experience as we lived in Texas for many years. We have found the diner weve been looking for, unfortunately its located 3 hours away. We will be back, might be a day trip to get a slice of some homemade pie!! Everyone was so friendly, and we loved the tie-die shirts! Thank you so much!

2022-06-05The food, service, atmosphere, and prices are great, period. Well be back many times. That said, the air conditioning blowing up out of the floor vents is pretty aggressive. If you happen to be sitting on top of one of those vents, take your paper menu and trap it on top of the vent with your feet. Youll see other diners at other vents visibly lift into the air when you do, which is entertaining.

2021-07-29Really loved this place. If you want comfort food I would recommend coming here. I’m not going to lie I was a little skeptical at first since it’s such a small place with various older pop culture references on the walls, but after trying the food I was blown away. My pot roast was one of the best I’ve had in a while, and my friend was also super happy with his food.
