As soon as I contacted this business, they were so attentive. I was asked to send pictures of my couch and Ronald immediately gave me a price, I agreed and he told me the time frame and was on time. When he arrived he was polite and got straight to work. Ronald and his team were super friendly, professional and most IMPORTANTLY FAST! they dissembled my couch so fast and put it back together. I would recommend this business to anyone they were great and I loved that it’s a family business which makes your experience more personable. Thanks Ronald
What a great job by Ronald and his son, they are amazing at what they do, I highly recommend them. I needed a sofa brought from the basement to the third floor and were talking extremely tight spaces from the basement out with narrow doorways and corridors however Ronald found a way. He disassembled the sofa, was able to get through all the tight spaces, brought it up and reassembled, all within an hour, very impressive! Extremely professional, prompt replies and arrival as well as the best pricing out there based on my research. I really liked the part of it being a family business, instilling the value of work and skillset down to his son is a wonderful thing to witness, kudos to you Ronald! The movers were unable to get part of my sectional through my door and I found Ronald on the WEB. He responded in a timely manner, sent him a picture and gave me a price right away which was very reasonable. He was professional and you can see he definitely knows what he is doing. These guys were amazing. We were about to give up on our couch, when we called them, they were here early the next day, and in less than an hour managed to get it up our really narrow stairwell.

I ordered a sofa from Bobs discount furniture but suspected it was too big to fit into my buildings elevator which had been replaced after I completed the order... I hired Dr Sofa Service to disassemble and reassemble in my apt. Family business with excellent communication in terms of setting up dates and times. Such a great experience with these guys! My original movers gave up on getting my couch out of my old apartment and said it had to be taken apart. I needed to get it out that day and was desperate. Ron responded right away and came a few hours later. He was able to get it out in just a few mins and moved it into my new apartment immediately. Ronald Sr. & Ronald Jr. are the most professional father / son team who came to our rescue on Friday night when we were moving into our NYC apartment. We were referred to them for help when our sofa would not fit through the door. We called and and they arrived within 45 minutes. It took about an hour to deconstruct my 9 ft sofa in the hallway and reconstruct it in my apartment.We are so incredibly pleased with their professional work- the sofa is perfect. I had an urgent emergency with my new couch that arrived and wouldn’t fit through the hallway/door of our apartment. So Wayfair delivered my sofa bed ( damaged ) & after the awesome delivery guys just could not get it up the stairs into my apartment, I contacted Ronald & he was there a few hours later pulling it apart & reassembling it in under an hour as well as repairing the damage. He did such a great job I am astounded! I had called a few other places & he was by far the best deal as well. I would 100% recommend him!!

Amazing and Fast service!!! We called with an emergency after they were closed. Ronald did everything in his power to help me...and he did! Ronald came to our rescue day of. Our couch turned out to be too long to fit in around the staircase in our new building (think Friends Pivot episode). We contacted him and he was able to come that evening. His rate was cheaper than anything else we found and he was quick and did excellent work. If it tells you anything, when I was showing people afterwards, I wasnt even sure which arm he took off. The couch looks exactly like it did prior to surgery. Call them! They know what theyre doing.

Ron came very last-minute to my NYC apartment to disassemble a very nice sofa and reassemble it in my small apartment. He arrived earlier than expected. I needed 2 American Leather sleeper sofas disassembled and reassembled on different floors in the house. This was not a task that just anyone can do. Ronald arrived with 2 assistants at the scheduled time, and perfectly and professionally accomplished this job.

2021-03-14I usually dont write reviews, however Ronald deserves it! Very professional, responded to my texts or calls right away, best prices around and got the job done in less than 30 min. I needed a Jennifer Convertible sofa bed brought upstairs from the basement and driven to NY from NJ. He came prepared and got to work right away. He took the sofa bed out and was able to bring up the couch without having to take it apart. I was beyond impressed!! I would definitely use him again if I need to and would recommend him to anyone! Not one negative thing to say about this place! Thank you again!!

2020-08-06Prior to moving to NY I purchased a sofa that ended up too big to fit into my elevator, so I had to have it returned to the company I bought it from and stored in their warehouse. After doing some research and asking for a dozen quotes from couch doctors, Ronald replied within minutes to my request. By far, Ronald was most competitive on pricing and timing for my couch. Although our first try at delivery was delayed due to a tropical storm, Ronald was understanding and willing to waive the extra day storage fee. My couch was picked up in NJ, driven to my apartment in Carnegie Hill, disassembled, brought into my home, and reassembled within two hours. This is a guy who is passionate about what he does, and eager to share his trade with the next generation. Ronald is very straightforward, he let me know what types of obstacles could arise in disassembly (needing to bring it up the stairs, additional break down of arms) and the costs associated with them before he began to take it apart. I ended up not needing to pay any additional cost, basic disassembly of the back of the couch was included in my quote. When Ronald tells you he will take care of you, he means that. He let me know when he picked up the couch and an ETA, and was easy to work with during the storm the day prior. Throughout the disassembly/reassembly he was communicative and showed expertise in his field. I highly recommend his services, and you will not be able to find a better price point.

2020-07-24Ronald and this company is a dream come true. I love this antique armoire but it is a nightmare getting it up and down these small and narrow stairways, its all one piece; wide, tall and super heavy. The quotes I was getting to move it were outrageous and I really didnt want to leave it behind. Thankfully I found Drs Sofa Service. Ronald made it happen at a budget friendly cost, with a service that was honestly above and beyond. Id highly recommend them to anyone.Wish I had more photos to show the level of disassembly they actually did because at one point they had to take the whole thing completely apart.

2020-11-06I had an easy time communicating and coordinating with Ronald. The entire job was finished in under an hour. The couch looks perfect—not a scratch! I would absolutely recommend his service. For a reasonable fee, you’ll be spared having to worry whether or not the furniture delivery people will be able to squeeze your couch into your home.

2020-06-19Yesterday was a terrible day for us we bought furniture from Bobs and because it wouldn’t fit through the front door it was left outside, the delivery guys got the small one in and wouldn’t help us with the second one we was left hanging with no resolution. We broke the walk way wall trying to get the couch in even though the measurements on the site said it would fit but it didn’t. We gave up, we tried looking for something or someone that can help us fix this problem we were getting aggravated, so many phone calls but everyone was closed due to the pandemic. Finally we came across these wonderful people here at Dr Sofa Service who mended our broken hearts and got our sofa in the door and it was such a beautiful blessing I couldn’t believe how fast it was done. It was like watching our furniture get rebuild again. We want to thank these guys again for such a wonderful job they did for us. If it wasn’t for them we would of lost all our money purchasing our living room set from Bobs.

2020-07-29I had a hell of a day until I got ahold of them. They assured me they could do the work, even when a Philly based company said that it simply could not be done. This is a brand new West Elm couch so I was worried... but that quickly went away when they arrived and were professional about what they were going to do.They came all the way from NYC to Philly the same day I called them and saved the day for me. I will be using them again when the time comes to move! Super recommended, will not disappoint!

2019-05-02These guys are amazing! I got quotes from several couch doctors, but this place 1. was the most timely 2. had the fairest price and 3. got back to me the most quickly.My beloved sofa didnt fit through the elevator by 2 inches, and I texted these guys immediately. They were at my apt within 1.5 hours, confidently getting to work. They required little direction and allowed me to deal with the moving stress and not worry about them. My couch looks like it was never touched and I will 100% be calling them again when its time to move again.Thanks for taking some stress out of a stressful day.

2020-02-21I called at 11am to make an appointment in a frantic state because the other person I hired was a no-show. By 12:30pm they were here. Accessed the problem and moved my 90 sofa that was stuck in my tiny kitchen into my living room in under an hour. Beautifully and quickly done. Ronald and Alex were a huge life saver! I couldnt get into my kitchen and didnt want to ruin my very expensive sofa. I know for a fact the other person wouldnt have been able to provide this quality of service what so ever. I will definitely be using them again when its time to move out of the apartment.

2021-10-30From start to finish, Ronald was fantastic to work with! After endless problems with the delivery company used by our sofa company, I found Ronalds website online and he quickly gave an estimate and was ready to go as soon as we could arrange. Ronald went out of his way to facilitate retrieval of the sofa when the original delivery company was still problematic. He and his team quickly assessed the entry options for our apartment building, as the sofa would not fit in the elevator, and was also too large for the stairwells. Working magic, they disassembled what needed to be done and had it upstairs and reassembled in no time. Ronald pays close attention to detail, and made sure we were satisfied, and cleaned up every speck of sawdust. Super nice and professional guys - including his son! - and we are SO happy to have our long-awaited sofa that we didnt think we were going to be able to keep. HIGHEST recommendation! Thank you!
