Recently we found ourselves in need of someone to unravel a number of technical (computer/internet/TV)) issues that have wormed themselves into our world. We chose David Burton, owner of SOHPRO Computer Management to update and sync our home’s systems.Digging into the guts of my electronic systems requires someone we can give all our trust and confidence. We’re talking about honesty, confidentiality, and the highest level of professionalism (which includes being on-time and prepared). Without question David Burton is number #1 in all categories.The short list of the equipment David has repaired, updated or installed includes our computers, IPhones, IPad, routers, ancient TV, and even car phone technology. Now my internet, WiFi, laptop/table tops and counter tops all talk to each other. Who knew??David made sure when the job was done our family knew how to navigate our new systems (not an easy task!). His service also included helping us negotiate with our service provider.SOHPRO Computer Management’s prices are extremely fair and services are thorough.Lastly, what is important to us, David Burton accomplished these amazing feats while working around a toddler and our overly friendly dog who just loves David.I highly recommend SOHPRO for your computer related needs.
I was searching for a technician to help me solve a number of basic problems through Skidmore College. It was my good fortune to be put in touch with David Burton SOHPRO. I needed help with elementary issues and David had the patience and sills to solve all of them. I have found that technicians often dont speak ordinary language and David understood that I needed extra help and demonstration. He gave it to me with 100% satisfaction.
Dave was amazing, he was professional, thorough, clean and timely. His prices were very reasonable and he offered information on his process while also giving me pointers for keeping up maintenance with my pc. I will 100% recommend him to anybody having issues. Thanks again Dave!

I spoke to 2 other tech pros who confirmed that the battery in my 2015 Mac book Pro could not be replaced. Then I found David through a Google search, had brief phone conversation where he explained that the battery could be replaced. Brought it to him 2 days later and I had it back in a week. (I was on conveniently on vacation during). My computer works great. Very happy with the price and Davids skill level.
I recently purchased a Mac Mini from Apple but was unable to purchase it with the proper amount of RAM that I require for the work I do due to financial constraints. I’m also not tech savvy enough to upgrade the RAM myself, else I risk bricking my machine. Dave was able to save me a little more than $400.00 by replacing the RAM for me after market, and he did it within a few hours (by far the quickest turnaround I’ve ever seen when it comes to tech repair). I 110% recommend SOHPRO to anybody who needs work done on their computer!
Dave was very knowledgeable and professional. He was detailed in diagnosing and addressing my problem. My PC was ready in just over 24 hours and his fee was very reasonable for the time spent working on my device and communicating with me. He also followed up to make sure all was well. Dave is a complete professional, but more importantly, he has helped me move light years ahead in my computer knowledge, skills and work. Besides his direct work on the actual computers, web pages and so on, he is willing to teach you the necessary skills, so one can become a competent user, as well. Being a novice in the world of computers, web pages and all of the modern social media, I have enjoyed the time we have had working together. He has helped me gain confidence and enjoyment in using my computer, both for work and at home. David Burton is an incredibly skilled professional. He explains areas in technology clearly while repairing, installing and dealing with problems working with computers, cell phones, televisions, WiFi, other programs and equipment. We have worked with David for several years and have consistently been extremely pleased with the results. I have used the services of SOHPRO (David) since 2014 when I bought a new laptop PC (for a self-employment business and personal use). Everything he installed/configured for me, including security, has worked well. He has also helped me troubleshoot router and internet problems. Most recently, he installed the latest Windows 10 OS on the same laptop after carefully backing up all my files and cleaning up my hard drive.David made it possible for me to keep my PC; his efforts and honesty saved me money. Through the upgrade process, he kept me informed, patiently answered my many questions, and never made me feel stupid or annoying for asking them. I am grateful his business exists and wouldnt hesitate to refer others to him!
I want to thank David on his quick response and repair of my desk top. I called David on a saturday morning left him a message my computer was not working. With in a few hours he responded back to me about my issues even know his hours are Monday thru Friday. He did some diagnostic over the phone to try and help me. I ended up bringing the computer to his shop that night. My hard drive failed. He got my comuter up and running and I picked it up Sunday night. David was honest and super reasonable on the price to repair my computer. He charged me a third of what Staples and best buy wanted to charge me. Dave Burton went above and beyond when fixing my computer! He was very quick to respond, answered all my questions, explained what it needed (in laymens terms, not IT tech speak) and I had it back within 2 days!! I was very pleased with the service I received. The tech was most pleasant and very knowledgeable. He was able to determine the problem with my Amazon fire stick in a short time and had my streaming services up and running. I called this business with a complex problem not sure what to expect and I got a quick call back from Dave. I was blown away at his level of professionalism and how helpful he was. He spent a significant amount of time on the phone with me troubleshooting my problem trying to help. He even called me back after researching on his own time and sent me guides and manuals to try and assist me further. He went above and beyond with his level of care and I could not be more satisfied. SOHPRO fixed my MacBook Pro no problem. Replaced the battery and backed up all of my data. Installed new OS. Gave new life to a 5 year old laptop that wouldn’t boot! RECOMMEND.
Laptop went south on me with spilled water killing it. Dave did a great job fixing it, explaining what he did and giving me a fair price. I would definitely use him again.

Dave is as professional as they come. Shows up (important). He always finds a way to get what I need to have done. Its just amazing to watch him work. He knows his stuff. I have stumped him a couple of times, but he has always come back with an answer with what is wrong or with my item fixed. 2022-01-10Dave was a gem to find. My computer became totally unresponsive, and it appeared I had lost all my data. I brought it to Dave who was very professional and reassuring. He kept me posted via text and calls as to the progress he was making. When one solution didn’t work, he kept trying until one did. Without getting too technical, Dave performed magic! Not only is my computer working, all my data was able to be retrieved. Dave and SOHPRO Computer are highly recommended!

2021-12-25Dave was amazing. He was honest and very professional. He refused to accept payment even though he spent a lot of time diagnosing my MacBook. He gave me free advice to service laptop but told me I’d be better off investing in something new and proceeded to help me with specs I should look for. He knows his stuff and can help with any PC or Mac issues. Highly recommend.

2022-01-13Dave Burton is a true professional. Expert in his field, highly responsive, and provides highly valuable service at a reasonable price. Dave recently worked on an Apple MacBook Pro for us. As we recently upgraded our daughter’s nearly six year old laptop by purchasing a newer model…we asked Dave to evaluate her old laptop. For context - it had gotten her through the last part of her senior year in high school, her entire undergrad, and her first year of grad school. It wasn’t functioning properly, yet we wanted to see if it could be fixed and updated for our personal use. In a timely fashion, Dave immediately diagnosed the problems with the laptop, and ultimately replaced a bad battery and fully managed the installation of a full OS systems upgrade. To have Dave available here in the immediate Saratoga Springs area - we are truly fortunate. Yes, he works out of his home, and “we took the risk” based on reviews we had read. Who needs a storefront? We found Dave to be honest and trustworthy…and “the computer guy” that we all need as that “phone a friend”! Highly recommend. And thank you, Sir!

2022-02-06David provided excellent service and made my computer repair much much easier - my CPU fans suddenly stop working and I was ready to have a heart attack when I contacted Dave, but he made it so easy and contact was very quick and helpful that it made something as scary and expensive as computer repair not so bad! Not to mention an extremely reasonable price! If I could give 6 stars, I honestly would.

2022-01-25Dave was an absolute pleasure to do business with. My gaming PCs AIO cooling system failed and he was able to replace it with a new one that I had purchased within 24 hours. Not only that, but he did a dust-removal cleaning and has the whole case looking brand new again. He also did some custom configuring on the RGB lighting in the case to show the systems temperatures. Awesome! I will without a doubt be returning for any other computer repair/maintenance needs.

I was hesitant about going to a larger company for computer repairs (i.e. Best Buy) and Im so glad that I found this company through a quick Google search. He evaluated my laptop quickly and was upfront about everything that would fix & optimize it from start to finish. Everything was fairly priced and I will be using Dave for all my future computer needs.

2021-06-22I cannot recommend SOHPRO Computer Management highly enough! David Burton is the owner. I first contacted him -- picked him out of the blue -- because my computer crashed. He came to where I live within an hour and fixed the computer, plus showed me many things I didnt know -- a lesson, in fact. So I asked him to return to show me more; no task (including going through a box of wires I had no idea belonged to what!) is too small or big. The lesson was incredibly instructive, and Im not a total novice at computers. Also, he helped me with some reception problems w/my iPhone. David easily tailors his expertise to match his clients needs, personality and level of technical knowledge. He is kind, gentle, intelligent, and an absolute joy to work with. I expected a lot of IT jargon (Ive had others work on my computers), but he explained so many things in plain English that I am now at ease using programs I didnt quite understand before. I am going to ask him back for another lesson and to work on some things we didnt have time for. He also gives seniors a discount. If I could give David Burton and SOHPRO ten stars, I would! (btw: this is first review Ive ever written for any company/product, but feel compelled to do so because Ive never met a better-qualified computer repair person, who also does in-home visits, and is never judgmental about what you may or may not know. ) TEN STARS!!!

2020-08-23I contacted SOHPRO with only a week before classes started. There was no way I could use my computer, which was a problem given most of my work this semester would be online. Dave Burton was able to pick up my laptop the same day I called. He kept constant communication throughout the process and was abundantly transparent. Burton was also careful to work within my budget. My laptop was ready in under three days and its in perfect shape! 10/10 cost, quality, and customer service.

2021-01-09I had just moved to town with a new computer that didn’t work. Not being tech savvy, I contacted a number of local repair services. Dave’s response was the quickest of any, he was able to accommodate my schedule for drop off/pickup, and he did great quality diagnostics and repair. I had my computer back with a new memory card for a very reasonable price, and the machine performs very well now. Highly recommend Dave and SOHPRO as the solution to your computer issues!
