This was my first time at Sonny’s and I was very pleased with the entire experience. I waited outside in a gated area while routine checkup was done. They finished the job while I finished my paper in a professional manner. The cost was very reasonable and I will definitely return.
Ive been bringing all of my cars and now both my childrens car as well to sonny for years! Him and his crew are great at what they do and hea honest and trustworthy!
Sonny is a great mechanic and a wonderful person. He took care of us & our car, as if were family. I think that says it all.
A local storekeeper recommended Sunny, I had a brake problem and brought the car over to him, he gave me an estimate and I told him to do the job. Driving without brakes IS NOT Recommended. He called me when he said he would and said the car was ready, I asked him how much and he told me LESS than what the estimate was. I cant remember the last time a repair shop was that honest. Ive been going there for many years, had five cars in the family at one point. Sonny is great at his craft. He is friendly. And, most important - impeccably honest.
Worked with Sonny for years, He is the most honest and respectful mechanic a person could ask for. Hes fast with his work and a perfectionist.
Took my car for an inspection and was told it failed because it needed rear brakes. Took it to my mechanic and turns out I didn’t need brakes. Total rip off!!
Good place to fix your car. Price is affordable and he has A+ personality. He know his job very well 👌
Scam artists/rip off artists call it what you want but AVOID this mechanic shop at all costs. They find reasons to fail you for inspection then ask for astronomical sums of money to make your vehicle passable. Lied right to my face about multiple facts regarding this issue. I will be reporting this business to New York State! There are plenty of other shops to choose from, my advice is to AVOID!!!!!

2022-06-04Took my car there and this repair shop did not perform the service but charged me. I went in for a transmission flush and paid thinking everything was ok, a week later i went to spakles lube and they determined the fluid was dark and the transmission pan untouched!!!! They collected the money and never performed the service.I live locally in plainview and telling all my friends to stay way, Sonny the owner is a crook.

2021-10-18Im very glad to find a professional, honest and hard working mechanic near my work. My 2018 Hyundai Sonata had an oil leak after an oil change from another shop. Upon their second attempted failure to fix the problem, I had brought it to Sonnys upon my co-workers recommendation. Sonny was professional, timely, and best of all very reasonably priced. 2021-07-15Ive known Sonny for a couple of years. My regular mechanic retired and closed up shop so I took my car to Sonny. He is incredibly professional and knows his stuff. He takes care of people who come in, supervises several other mechanics and even finds the time to keep the area clean and organized. He is friendly, honest, and a really good guy.

2020-09-01Sonny is great; my dad would always drop our cars there, and Ive followed suite. Hes not the type to charge you every time you drop off the car or find unnecessary reasons to fix things. I went to the Hyundai across the street, and their fancy machinery told me that I would need to pay 4,000 dollars to fix everything wrong with my car to pass inspection. Took it to Sonnys and my car passed everything fine.

2020-08-30Since 4-Star Auto Repair closed back.in the Spring (Gabor retired) he recommended Sonnys at the corner of South Oyster Bay Road and Old Country Road. As someone who drives upwards of 60k miles a year (I run an independent car service) I needed a repair guy I can trust. Sonny and his guys are quite good, his prices are competitive and his service is relatively quick.

I have brought my car here so many times for just an inspection. Sonny is as honest as they come.
