I am so confused how this place operates. I was standing there for 5 minutes before being helped. Then after they made the salad, he left it there on the counter to go chat with his friends in the back, then came back to start helping someone else. I walked out because I was confused, then called, then he somehow thought I was waiting on egg sandwiches?? He was the only one helping me?? I am so confused but will definitely only go to Smith Street in Merrick... they are much more efficient there
I come here every day because I can’t go one day without eating the Psycho Chicken Sub. It so good you just HAVE to try it. 100/10 recommended.

Asked for a simple bacon egg and cheese on a hero... I get home and open my sandwich to find they totally screwed up on the simplest most popular breakfast sandwich in Maseru a by not putting bacon or cheese on it... never going back there again!!! Pathetic
First time I went I got a good hero from who I think was the owner. The second time I went the hired staff was rude and charged me $1 over the price listed. On top of it the Italian hero I ordered had no cheese on it which was a major disappointment, a major lapse. Being I was already on the road and these peoples attitudes I didn’t want to confront. Based on this visit would think long and hard before ordering from this place again, too bad.

Slow and rude the opposite of what a neighborhood deli should be. Food is ok when they give you the right order- ive walked out multiple times over rude service when it was empty and this was my last

It was lunch time and I was completely starving. I was craving a chicken cutlet hero. I noticed South Bellmore Deli and the fact that they had plenty of parking, so I went in. I ordered a chicken cutlet hero. There was plenty of workers so there was no wait time to be served. It was the best hero I ever ate. There was so much food on the hero that I couldnt eat the whole hero. If you are in the area you have to stop in and try South Bellmore Deli
COMPLETE RIP OFF! I had to pay almost $15.00 for a burger and fries. I even went on the their website to check the price of my food after I called and complained and I could not find the menu. I should not have taken the food. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!
Great food and vast selections. Youll be impressed the minute you walk in and take a look at the display cases. Great soups, fantastic breakfast sandwiches and amazing heroes. Lines go rather quickly and theres so much to choose from! Regrettably, theres not much in terms of hospitality or customer service. Theres a definite change since the transition from Smith St Deli. However, youll still be impressed with their food but left scratching your head at the abrasive staff. Clean, too long of a wait though for as many staff are upfront taking orders seems as they need most of the help in the back. Food fresh and tasty so I guess with one plus goes a minus. Call in ahead of time to save yourself the wait.
I LOVE coming to this place. Everyone is super friendly and the italian pasta salad is litterally to die for. I am genuinely addicted.
Asked for a toasted blueberry muffin....got a cinnamon roll.Asked for a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel...got a bacon egg and hash Brown on an everything bagel that tasted like it was doused with soy sauce and the bagel had remnants of a green vegetable on top (maybe broccoli)Asked for a coffee with 2 sugars... got a coffee that had about 4 or more sugars- too sweet.So this deli is a big thumbs down for me. This was the third time I’ve ordered, each time they have screwed it up, so their out. Taking my business elsewhere.

Ordered an order to be delivered. Was told 30 minutes… after waiting an hour it finally came. Two out of five sandwiches… WRONG….. never again
Couldve been just bad timing but balsamic griller and peppers where mushy, cheese was blah,.bread was smushy and wet inside. Chicken was ok. told guy it was first time there, youd think they serve something edible. Maybe Ill try it again but there are so many reliable delis in area id have to be looking for something easy like a ham and cheese hero.

Great local deli. Food is good and they have a large selection. They also have a large selection of boarshead products which is great. A little on the pricy side and sometimes it takes quite a while to get food but nothing out of the ordinary.

They messed up my whole order and when I called to speak to a manager he just said “we’re sorry” they were expensive for no reason. I basically gave my money for free. I didn’t eat anything.

2022-06-06Got meatballs on a roll magically the were able to make it with one meatball how sad half on each side of the roll. GMAFB.Got a ham hero nice size meat was decent. Tomato and cheese was another magical act. Couldnt taste either it was sliced so thinly. God as my witness I could hardly see it when I looked for it after tasting it which I couldnt. So charged for both paper thinone layer literally. It might have been 1/16 of an inch but I doubt it sad.Everytime I ask for heavy pepper (5 times) they never put any. So I gave up on asking and bring my own.

2019-09-17A small but clean deli with your standard fare of sandwiches, drinks, salads, snacks. Lots of options for flavored coffee. $5 minimum for credit card purchases. Chicken cutlet sandwhich was ok, nothing special.

2021-07-22My office has been ordering lunch from this deli for years. Recently they messed up our order and gave us two $10 gift cards for the inconvenience.Because we appreciate their generosity and we have always had good experiences ordering from there we decided to order from there again today. When we called to order we told them about the gift cards and they refused to honor them. They said “they are under new ownership and will not honor these past gift cards.” As we are a business ourselves we believe this customer service to be completely unacceptable. The order took 1 hour and 45 minutes to be delivered the food was cold and multiple orders were wrong. Safe to say South Bellmore Deli lost our business.

2021-08-01South Bellmore Deli used to be very good. They were more expensive then most and I thought they nickeled and dimed you but it was clean and the quality was good. They must of changed owners because yesterday I texted in an order and waited 25 minutes to go pick it up. When I got there I waited 30 additional minutes in line and when I gave them my number they said they havent started it yet. I told them to skip it and cancel the order and left. 4 hours later I received a phone call from South Bellmore Deli and said that my sandwich is waiting there for me. I told them I cancelled it, they replied that I still had to come down and paid for it. I asked if they changed owners or something and they replied yes not to long ago. That explained everything. It looked like a bunch of unprofessional kids running the show. Disorganized, messy, sloppy, dirty.Charge you credit card fees and and any other fee that they could. When they ring you up everything comes up specialty sandwich and extras on top of extras and extras. Skip this place if you can

2021-07-31Don’t bother, doesn’t hold a candle to the original smith street. No wonder SMITH STREET DELI removed their name from the sign. I wouldn’t want my business to be associated with this place either. Every few months or so I try to stop in for easy convenience. I always leave saying never again, beside usually messing up the order in ways that are not edible for some to the slow work ethic and lousy employees. How long do scrambled eggs take? 5 mins max. Not 25, not 35. They keep taking orders before finishing waiting customers creating a back log or orders they can’t make then get angry when you ask where your food is. The other smith street on smith street has A plus service on every front. That is a professional establishment that this place could learn a thing or two from.

2020-08-14Called in a late catering order for my wife, staff was super friendly and attentive. The wraps were insane-beautifully displayed on a platter and everyone loved them so much- we had no leftovers. Have to say #1 deli in the area- Super Clean inside and great staff!!!

2020-06-09Theyve been open and innovating for the entire run of the pandemic. The food is what youll typically find in a GOOD deli, but what separates them is their delicious mixes of flavored coffees and teas. The place is always clean and the employees are usually very friendly. I love the Sunday crew and the atmosphere is wonderful. I highly recommend it. Knock off a star if flavored coffee/tea aint your thing. Otherwise, it makes my day when I start my morning there.

2020-11-26I have never been a costumer before. My oven busted and needed a Thanksgiving turkey with all the trimmings. Most places that I tried, you have to pick up your cooked turkey the day before, because they are closed on Thanksgiving. THESE FOLKS WERE OPEN. The turkey was amazing, it was hot, it was juicy, fresh cranberry sauce from scratch, mashed potatoes made from potatoes not powder, string beans hot and crunchy. I walked in to the Deli I was greeted by the staff, they were friendly and happy considering they are working on Thanksgiving. This has to be the cleanest deli I have ever seen. I will be a loyal costumer from now on. Thanks!!!!!Michael K
