The lady that sits at the front of this establishment is extremely rude and unprofessional. She did not match my nails and toes and when I asked her too, she got an immediate attitude, couldn’t be bothered to fix and then put white tips on, which I didn’t want, I wanted my colors to match. Extremely unaccommodating. They charge more for different types of nail polish and can’t be bothered to tell you until you pay. I won’t be going back.
My girlfriend started recently coming here and she absolutely loves them. They are very nice and efficient. Other nail salons try to rush through the process, but the nail techs at this salon take their time and they are reasonably priced. 10/10 would recommend. My girlfriend especially loves Amy. She’s great!!
Go elsewhere. There are plenty of nail salons. I’ve been going here for a year or so out of convenience. Despite being a regular and tipping generously, I was always treated with cold indifference bordering on rudeness. Like I was inconveniencing them for being there. Then last week I went in (had appointment) and in the process of getting my temp taken, disinfecting my hands, and signing in, I accidentally knocked the bottle of nail polish onto the floor. It broke and splattered. I felt awful but I was berated (in Chinese) and while she cleaned up she never asked if I was ok nor offered anything with which to clean nail polish off my feet, legs, shoes or dress. I tried to help but was brusquely ignored. When checking out, I was informed I needed to pay $10 for the (half full) bottle of polish bc “it was my fault!” I was shocked and and said it had been an accident. Didn’t matter. My fault, I should pay. I said fine but I wasn’t coming back. She said “Good! Go away!” Curious way to handle your customers, especially after being closed for months.
I went to this nail salon for the first time in April 2017. I called ahead and made an appointment for 7 PM on a Friday night (expecting them to be open until at least 8 pm to give my nails sufficient time to dry, and they were). I got a basic pedicure. The salon was small, yet clean and relaxing. The woman did a nice job. She asked me several times throughout if I was happy with the color/results/etc. It has been over 2 weeks and my feet still look great! The polish hasnt chipped. Hopefully the next time I go will be a positive experience as well, because I will return.
I started coming here because its so close to home & what I found was the best nail salon in the Albany area! The staff goes above & beyond to make sure youre comfortable and well taken care of. Super friendly & talented. I get compliments on my nails all the time! Wide selection of ANC colors. Highly recommend!!
Ive been going to this spa for three years now. I love the calm, pleasant atmosphere and the quality and reasonable prices of service. Peter and Amy run a fine, up-to-date date salon. They are aware of and will correct anything that does not meet their standards. Technique is always up-to-date and I appreciate their recognition of there customers.
So pleased with my appointment today. Mary did my ANC manicure and she was very pleasant and professional. I recently moved to the area and relocating to a new nail salon has proved challenging. I tried several in the area and was frightened by the results. I found myself just going from strip mall to strip mall trying each place. I am so very thankful to have found Spa Nails and to know that my search is over now. Next is to fine a hair salon!
The man who assisted me, named peter, was doing my nails and he was filing my pinky nail to the point where I had to pull away and then he gave me a dirty look after the fact. I do like my nails except he missed the fact that I wanted them square and half of them where circular. He forcefully tried to pull my hand in different ways so that it was more comfortable for him to work. He kept talking to the other workers after I pulled my hand away because he was using the the tools too roughly. Overall the behavior was terrible and the way they treat their costumers should be better. AND after the way I was treated the asked for a better tip! The only good thing I got out of this situation was the the actual nails. They were OKAY. I will not be going back.
I went here on and off for years and had both good and not so great experiences. The last time I was there, I got ANC. The guy burned my nails, and i think intentionally. I kept jerking my hand back out of pain, and they treated me like i was being weird. The ANC didnt last, and when it came off the pain was beyond excruciating because I had no actual nails left. This place is no good anymore, and i would never ever go back after that.
I had stopped doing my nails for a couple years. Started again six months ago, and came here because I was in the neighborhood. In the past Mike, or one of the girls always did my old school acrylic nails (eyebrows, and 10 minute massage) without incident. My last fill two weeks ago, Peter did my nails. He tried to sell me ANC and seemed aggravated when I declined. I wasnt thrilled with the finished job but did not complain.Came in today as soon as they opened. Again greeted by Peter. Asked for new acrylic set. He again offered ANC for $25. This time I said yes. He then told me $20 to remove old nails. $10 for color?? I said nevermind. Just acrylic fill. He then said he had an appointment coming in and I would have to wait for acrylic. (ANC he could have done immediately?)I said no thank you. And went across the street to Nancys N.Y. Nails. Had old nails removed, full set of ANC gel nails, and best 10 minute massage Ive ever had. $42 total.Spa nail 9 lost a customer, and Nancy gained one.
Based on the amount of business on a Friday this place obviously has loyal customers. Unfortunately my experience was not great. The gentleman who did my mani/pedi seemed very rushed and was sloppy. It was clear he wanted to just get through to another customer and got angry with me when I asked him to shape my nails evenly. Horrible final product with uneven coat, polish all over my fingers and a bad cut/file. I will not return
Been to this salon twice, most recently to use a gift certificate for a mani/pedi. Like the first time the service was very rushed. The woman wearing a Linda name tag seemed angry. The water in pedi tub was scorching hot, she man handled my feet pushing them away forcefully, using the tools roughly where at one point she poked my toe and and hurt me. Seemed unfazed when I yelled OWW! I wont ever go back. Final note, they have small notes posted all over indicating they prefer to be paid in cash.
I love coming here everyone who works always does an amazing job I’ve been coming here for years and will always come back Amy and Peter are always super nice and helpful and always take there times and everyone is always hard working and it’s jusy a nice place to be and relax and not super expensive best nails place in this area hands down love them so much!!!!

2021-12-30I had my first great experience here. I got Erin to do my special acrylics for the holidays and she went above and beyond to perfect the design. Asked me if I liked it after every design and made sure as a customer I deserved the service I was paying for.All cost me a very reasonable price of $55 and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new salon to visit.

2022-04-05I went here regularly for a few years because I loved Anna who did my pedicures and I loved her boyfriend Michael who did my nails. Also they have a nice location small quaint comfortable clean salon. With that said the owner who sits right up front is never friendly. I was always very generous with my gratuities and always paid in cash. I never went anywhere else I was very loyal to them regularly. Then during Covid Anna & Michael left only to never return. I did return to try someone new only to be let down each time. One memorable time I had a miserable nail tech do a terrible rushed pedicure. I was so disappointed.I had just gotten acrylic nails done else where three days prior, I needed a polish change to gel, I only had regular nail polish on my tips. They ended up charging me $35 for a gel manicure. She filed them a little bit just to prepare them for polish a little cuticle oil and a 15 second hand massage. I don’t like to be taken advantage of. I understand that the gel is time-consuming but I said in the beginning I just wanted the polish change, I feel I should not have been charged the full gel manicure price because I did not get a manicure. It’s simply the principle with these nail salons they act like they are doing you a favor they’re always looking to nickel and dime us. Us as American women always talk about this- we all feel the same we need to start showing them by not going back.

2022-04-28Worst set of nails I’ve ever had done. Lumpy /ridged ANC that all slope up. Asked for a specific length and he went shorter then filed them down more. Terribly shaped and I asked for a flower design painted on and he tried to have me pick out cheap stickers. They put stickers on my daughters nails without my knowledge and then charged me $10 extra! Mediocre job painting my toes. SPENT $190 with tip for myself and my daughter and I’m going to immediately have them soaked off and redone elsewhere.

2020-09-23Ive been coming to Spa Nails Nine for almost five years now. I get ANC back-to-back, and pedicures about once a month (give or take). My nails stay healthy, and Ive never had an issue with irritation or any other kind of yucky bacterial issues like other salons you read about. I absolutely LOVE the employees, and everyone is so sweet--and they just remodeled this year so the salon itself is beautiful! I normally work with Peter, Amy, or David but the entire team is very talented.Ive read on here little tiffs here and there, so here are some tips to keep in mind:* the sander is used for cuticle removal, then the tweezer tool, so there isnt the traditional cuticle tool that other salons use; the sander and tweezers are less painful and do a great job* if you dont want to pay extra for the long lasting pedicure (silver top) you can bring in your own polish at no extra charge* if you visit (I believe) three or more times youre offered your own box with your own nail file and buffer--mine last a year each so its well worth it* after eight visits/filling your customer card, you get a free mini-service, like eyebrow waxing, or a paraffin dip (there are others I dont remember)Like I mentioned, I love this salon and everyone works so hard. For years they offered ANC for only $20 while everyone else was already charing $35+, so cut them some slack on their new prices. Support your local businesses :)

2021-09-03If i could give them a 0 i would. I showed them a picture of nude nails that had clouds on them, i wanted coffin shape. however i ended up leaving with pink oval nails with flowers. They said they couldnt do the clouds so i asked if i could get the nail art they draw on and they said i couldnt for some odd reason. Then i asked for a certain sticker but i couldnt get it because my nails were “too light“ however i ended up getting stuck with a WHITE flower? not to mention the countless times peter was cutting my cuticles shorter and shorter making me bleed.
