Manager there is young she fast talks you doesnt listen to understand or even focus on your needs, she talks to customers like shes in a hurry!! Only 2 people working every time you go there you get different answers for same issue.only 2 people to work really.the manager went in the back and never came back out.
SLOW! Poor customer service. Waited 45+ mins plus with 3 customers ahead of me. Saw a least 4 employees. Only 1 working. What looked like the manager had to run to the bank in the middle of a customer to break $3 in change. When I left same girl was outside just hanging out with another employee, with 13 customers in line. Not a care in the world.
Polite staff, comfy chairs to sit while waiting for help. I like the login screen up front, just plug in your first name and last initial, relax and wait. I have good experiences and feel thankful they moved to Consumer Square from North Utica. I take the bus and can access the store now.
Angel lied to us and said that our phone plan has insurance and when I came to the store.to take care of a broken screen I was told that I dont have insurance because they dont offer it in New York State. That would’ve been nice to know since day one.He messed our account up from day one. He screwed up the transfer of numbers so had to get new numbers after having the number for 10 years.
If you are unsatisfied with their explanation or service, they will just call the police to kick you out of the store. And you cannot get any basic customer service at all even that is what you have paid for. I would like to give a negative rating value but just dont have that option here. Suck!
I just moved into my new apartment with my boyfriend & he asked me to set up the spectrum in my name, mind you i have NO idea how any of this works & i walked in so confused! Angel helped me & he was SO kind & helpful! He helped me get the best router for my boyfriends gaming as well!!! the other woman there (i didn’t catch her name) with red hair & glasses was ALSO so nice. i couldn’t believe the bad reviews on here they were so awesome!!!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very quick to switch my service over and I am very pleased with Spectrums service so far. Hopefully the bill will be as great as the service. I was paying $180 for 2 lines and I was with the same company for almost 20 years. Spectrum said my bill will be around $100 now and Hopefully it is, if not I will update my rating.
I made an online appointment for 2:20 and wasn’t even helped until 3. The associate in the store immediately handed me a phone to talk to a spectrum associate out of the store and couldn’t answer any one of my questions. The one on the phone couldn’t fully help me with out the help of the associate in store and she was to busy with other customers after telling me she had to help others in the store and not me, so I had to bounce from each different associate in the store. To than only have to to wait again to than be told further the whole reason I came into the store they couldn’t even help me with. And my whole wait process could have been completely avoided if the 1st in store associate answered probably at least one of my questions instead of handing me a phone. I would highly recommend try to resolve any issues you have outside of the store because I can promise you will know so much more than what those people are being paid to know! And you’ll save yourself 6 hrs of waiting by doing it by yourself. I will no longer have anything nice to say about spectrum mobile to friends and family and advise them to look into other options because spectrum is a joke😊
The customer waiting que was 20+ people, location was understaffed. The staff that was there was wasting time setting up new phones and trying to move over customers pictures and contacts. Working in the industry I could tell the staff was never trained on the proper and efficient ways to setup new phones and move over customers data. If the staff knew what they were doing the line would move alot faster. While waiting for one persons content to transfer the staff could be multitasking helping another customer.
Be prepared to wait forever. They are so slooooooooow. Waited 40 minutes to return a cable box and there were still 8 people waiting ahead of me from 12 in line. I just left without returning it and felt like throwing the cable box in the trash can outside. It would of been another hour if I stayed.
This place was awful. 17 customers there with 3 employees. I sat for a half hour before leaving. Only one customer had been satisfied during the visit. Multiple people that were there before hadnt been waited on, and No idea how long they had been waiting. People came in and saw the line, then turned around and left. What a joke.
Horrible customer service they were unavailable to return a note 10 from my friends account and when they finally did he lost his number he has had for over ten years on a phone for the account that had nothing to do with return. The staff is poorly trained and unable to perform simple customer service tasks without being on hold for over 2 hours with someone from corporate to walk them thru screwing it up anyways I highly recommend you stay with your cellular Carrier or look long and hard before you jump ship to save a few bucks like they promise.
Chris from the New Hartford, NY Spectrum store could not have been more helpful. I changed my mobile plan from google fi to spectrum and initially he had trouble switching it but stayed with it, never got frustrated and got it switched over.it was a google fi issue. Hes quiet spoken and extremely knowledgeable. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to make the switch. Thanks Chris.
I have called a number of times for the same issue. My cable service does not work correctly and the only solution is to reboot the cable box. This is ridiculous for the amount of money I pay every month for services. Seems like every time there is a windy day, I have issues but no one comes out to check the outside wiring!
I needed a new modem because our current modem was not up to date with security and would not give us internet. After checking in and receiving all new equipment our internet is back and Im a happy camper. I do wish I could get a lower service for a lower price because even the minimum internet package is soaking up my wallet. I might just rely on my phones data and get rid of spectrum. I cant remember the last thing I used internet at my house for.
I have been stuck with spectrum for far too long! Im angry and frustrated that theyre the only option that I have to get internet service that doesnt work the way it should more often than not! Then I had to upgrade (pay more!) so that supposedly everything would work the way it should. Well I can tell you it doesnt! I have been hounding Verizon to bring Verizon FiOS to my area for the last at least 2 years. But all they offer is dial-up in my area and its not like I live in The Boondocks! I dont understand how Spectrum has been able and allowed to monopolize the internet the way that they have.
The people are nice enough. Just wish they had more people available at the counter. 6 kiosks for 2 employees and 14 people waiting. Management is failing miserably, talking on his phone outside to some buddy of his while his employees scramble. Why even bother having a physical location with places like this?
Went there to get a new cable box, HDMI cord and remote control. Explained to kid that I was setting up a new Smart TV. I even showed him a photo of the connections in the back of the new TV. He of course gave me the wrong box and remote. Wasted 2 days including talking with a CS Rep over the phone before she had to send out a tech to straighten out the connection. Now I have to go back for a new remote that works with the new box.
Horrible service. Got there signed in and sat for 1 hour finally left. Ended up helping a customer pay their bill because they could not figure it out. There were two workers on floor and atleast three in the back doing nothing. Dont care what anyone says that place is a joke.
You really need to plan a WHOLE DAY TRIP just to get service at spectrum in the New Hartford office. I went there signed in was # 21. I left and went to Walmart for over 2 hours went back I was still #7. There were only 2 people working each customer an average of 15-20 minutes. Horrible, Horrible service on your part Spectrum. You need to have a line just for broken/ outdated equipment that takes about 2 mins just to exchange. Maybe you need to look into this and consider my suggestion. There were a lot of upset customers today in that office waiting that long...
Customer services reps werent attentive to people walking in. I stood there for fifteen mins, unaware the need to sign in. The service rep rudely stated I cant help you, thats when another customer informed me that I needed to sign in to be waited on. I was only there to pay on services, thankfully I spotted the payment center in back corner.
I was lied to by the sales guy. I went into the change out two digital boxes for two cable boxes as rental as about the same. I was a time warner customer. The guy said I could switch my time warner plan over to a spectrum plan only lose one station and save $5 a month. So we agreed to this change. On the way out of the store we happen to grab the channel guide. While we were on the phone for spectrum trying to get the cable boxes working, we found out that we did not just lose one channel but over 60 channels. The guy also was trying to say if I wanted a modem and wifi through Spectrum the modem is free but the wifi was $5.00. Never told me why I should pay $5 a month if i could buy a router. On the day this happened, I was on the phone with Spectrum for a least an hour trying to straighten this mess out and two days later I still am as the bill it not $5 lower but now $3 higher. The guy I dealt with is a scam artist and should be fired!
They is crazy how I am at spectrum right now in New Hartford. They have no help. They have two ladies behind the counter with 6 Kiosk’s... Teach me how to do the work I will jump on one. 14 peoples name on the monitor and it hasn’t moved in 30 minutes... let’s do better guys
After years of poor service, lackluster premium channels and ever increasing rates and fees we have finally cut the cable cord for good. Our final frustration an hour and a half at this New Hartford location to just drop off our equipment. One representative at the counter. Unbelievable.
Four customers waiting in line. Four employees present. Heres the employee breakdown:One employee helping a customer. One employee shuffling her feet and chewing gum. One employee smiling. The last employee attempting to use a screwdriver.Incompetence on a grand scale.
Went to just swap out equipment and would have taken over an hour with the number of people ahead of me, 2 employees for the whole store, Im surprised they found anyone willing to work there because Im sure they constantly have to deal with disgruntled customers all day, one more reason to hate spectrum

2022-02-23Lying to your customers face is apparently the right thing to do according to the territory manager....Father in law passed about a month ago and were currently in the home helping to get everything there squared away. Theres no cell service on the property unless you connect to the wifi. Service got disconnected due to non-payment. My fiance went down to get service set in our name for the time that we live there until the house is sold and the representative told him that there was no way to set up new service unless he paid his fathers balance since hes next of kin (and even went as far as to say if I went there theyd have supposedly done a Google search and I wouldnt be able to get it either? And they search Google for next of kin in situations like this). Angel (the rep) even stated it was in their terms and conditions online. My fiance paid it since we had no other option and it was 7:30 at night. I ended up calling customer service and was told the rep lied to me (obviously) so I went back down and was told to talk to the supervisor whom the new rep pointed out, just for her to tell me she cant help me and that she wasnt even the supervisor, the manager wouldnt be back until Monday. She then called her territory manager who told her that Angel had done the RIGHT thing when my fiance was there the night before! And the only way to get the money back is going through my father in laws estate. Everyone Ive dealt with at this store has absolutely piss poor customer service and they dont even care. Ive never seen such a disgusting excuse for a company before.

2022-07-10This spectrum store was very nice. After driving an hour to return a phone the employees tell me I cant return it there. All employees were very nice, a young lady whos first name is Karol assisted me and got me through to someone on the phone.

2021-09-23We went to Spectrum in New Hartford, NY with a cell phone activation issue. There were 6 people in line and 1 customer service rep. Angel the customer service rep was so calm and professional. The wait was long but I was completely impressed with how knowledgeable and patient Angel was with all the customers. He stayed late to take care of everyone. It’s rare to have a customer service rep who is so thoughtful. I just wanted to acknowledge how impressed I was with his attitude under overwhelming circumstances.

2019-11-05Spectrum is a sinking ship and has been for years. The steaming services available today for half the cost of their cable TV service will put cable TV out of business it is just a matter of time. I have visited this store 3 times each time trying to return my TV boxes, 30 people in cue and 2 people working during each visit. Can’t wait until 5G cellular is deployed as I will do NO business with Charter aka Spectrum.

2021-10-16Literally the worst experience in trying to pay a bill. I had over $800 recently stolen from my bank account I had to borrow money from my mom to pay my phone bill I went into spectrum in Rome New York and walked up to the kiosk I was unaware that I was paying the wrong bill nevertheless that was all the money I had and the guy at the counter told me there was nothing he could do for me but to call customer service. I am now sitting out in my car on empty with no phone I am in utter tiers I am disabled and now I have no way to communicate. I am going to find a different company because any company that would do that to someone is it any company I want to use. I now have no money no phoneI am beside myself utterly and so disappointed that in todays technology that it wouldnt be a simpler way to pay your bills but I have to pay phone separate and internet separate it just doesnt make any sense to me would not recommend anyone to spectrum
