Love the place and ambiance. We had to pay $32 for spending an hour here, along with the cost of shoes. The place has multiple bowling alleys. The food is incredible but maybe a little costly The staff are very nice as well. Overall, it was a great experience. I would suggest going towards the closing time in the weekends as the number of people present would be very less at that time. Hope this was useful!
Great value overall! Well-maintained installations. Delicious and varied menu. Friendly, attentive staff and free wi-fi. Automated bowling lanes and laser tag, both of which are customizable. Popular bar with lounge featuring billiards/pool and air hockey. The arcade is like a casino for kids! Spacious parking lot out front.
Two wide sets of bowling lanes, with a sizable video arcade and bar/lounge between. The lanes are fully automated, so players can customize their games by adding or removing pins, erecting bumpers, and so on. The video arcade uses swiping cards which grant more playing credits for more money (as in higher payments yield better value). Nearly all games were observed in working order. There are also an automatic teller machine (ATM), photographic booths and vending machines. Three motorcycles were on display, possibly in a raffle though two employees asked did not know. This review found only one single-occupant bathroom (unless there was another which was missed), which surprised me for a location handling such high volumes of people, but thankfully no waiting time during this review. Fast, free wi-fi, and ample parking in the lot outside. Overall, very good value!
Went with a great group of ladies from Changepoint Church. Had an amazing, awesome time! Ive passed by often and never knew they offered so much fun. Bowling, leagues, arcade games, food, drinks, bar, laser tag! So awesome! I even received an email for a free game of laser tag!!!
They only play Caucasian music they don’t accommodate to what others would like to hear they can even play kiss fm something like they play hard rock like it’s kids here they wanna hear other things then hard metal rock and u ask if they can change it they don’t even listen they just think it’s ok and it’s not they need to be more diverse here
First I want to say that there VIP section is the best for a more intimate experience. I had my birthday there this month and it was perfect. The only thing I will say is that outside food and drinks are not permitted. They do sell a decent selection of food though. I recommend their pretzels. Their arcade area has been improving so much throughout the years. They have laser tag, axe throwing, basketball, and lots more mini games. Its not only a great family experience, but also a good date night! They do serve alcoholic beverages there as well. I recommend this Spins bowl location for not only its size but also did their staff. Everyone is always polite and ready to help.
Great bowling alley! Prices are good and they are clean and friendly. My kid loves the dinosaur that helps her bowl. The arcade is pretty nice as well because your kids and have some fun while you bowl. Also, the burger was one of the best Ive ever, ever bad. It looked like a burger should look. Good patty. Great taste. Ill go back just for a burger.
We were in the area for a trip, when it started raining and we had to cancel our plans. we came here instead, and it was a great choice!!Its nice, quiet arcade!! Its reasonably priced, and we got more games per dollar than most other arcades. The staff was nice, and we felt welcome.we hope to be back next time were in the area!!
Spins Bowl is a nice place. They have bowling alleys, laser tag, arcade, and axe throwing. The bowling alleys are modern and enjoyable. The bumpers seem to need improvement as they dont always pop up for the kids.Arcade is fun with a lot of games to play.Laser tag was always a blast. Big place with lots of obstacles. Lasers that work, too!We havent tried the axe throwing.
I wish I could give this place no stars. I usually go to the Wappingers but they were booked up today. This location was filthy. All the hand sanitizer dispensers on the walls were empty. If you wanted some, you had to walk to counter. The men’s bathroom was literally the worst and no bs, the worst I’ve ever smelt. You could smell it in front of the door and when u walked in it just hit you. I wanted to vomit. Everything from the tables to the bowling balls were sticky. Only thing I can say was the staff was nice but even still, I can’t recommend this location. I will never come back here again.
Great establishment, great staff, great food!!! I live about 10 minutes from the Wappingers location and make the trip up Route 9 to Poughkeepsie instead. The staff are much more friendly and helpful at this location.I recently visited Poughkeepsie this past weekend on Saturday and my family had a blast. Even though they were extremely busy any issues we had with our lane malfunctioning were fixed promptly. The kids had so much fun in the arcade winning prizes (side note they have cool face masks which my kids loved! Great idea given everything going on with the pandemic). The food was amazing, the pizza was so good you wouldn’t believe that it’s from a bowling alley, usually my son never finishes all his food, but he ate every bite of his cheese burger. I opted for the fried chicken sandwich and it was delicious, I don’t know what the “signature sauce” is, but the other location does not use the same sauce. I’m pretty sure they just put a disgusting amount of mayonnaise. In Poughkeepsie the sauce has so much flavor, next time I will see if I can get an extra side for dipping my fries.lolAlso when I initially ordered the waiter informed me it may be a slight wait because only one person cooks all the food for the entire bowling alley, it’s pretty impressive considering how busy the place was. Plus, for 8 food items it only took roughly 15-20 minutes before it was delivered to our lane.So if you want to have a great time and great food with friends or family definitely choose the Poughkeepsie location. Thanks Spins Poughkeepsie!!!
I bowled this afternoon with two of my friends. We bowled for 1 and a half hours.I was told that the establishment was not supposed to be a drinking establishment. We ordered 6 beers. While we bowled and had to order 3 baskets of fries. We did not finish the first basket of fries and ordered another round of beers and were told we had to order three more baskets of fries. We were told we would have to order three baskets of fries every time we ordered. The manager Marshall was very pleasant however we ended throwing out a number of French fri baskets.
I dont write reviews, but I had to share my bad experience with Spins. I put my name down to reserve 2 lanes to bowl and they told me it would be about 35 minutes and they would call my name on the PA. When I went back to check, 45 minutes later, they said that the people in the lane we were waiting for bought another hour of bowling and they were going to bump us to a different lane and we would have to wait another hour! You might think the policy would be: if someone is waiting for your lane, you may not buy additional time. But that is not their policy. Just make the people waiting wait longer so they can spend more money in our arcade. I will not be going back to Spins.
Me and my family went there for the first time the other day we had a great time the employees were extremely nice and very helpful prices were decent looking forward to going again very soon I would recommend anyone in the area that loves bowling, throwing axes, playing video games or playing pool
This place is awesome!!!I came here with friends for the second time since September and I have to say my mind has been changed. Don’t get me wrong the amenities are great, the bowling, arcade, laser tag, and bar selection. But last time the food was so so (our pizza looked like it sat out for a awhile and wasn’t even a circle and the french fries were all soft and gross). This time the food was great I had the sandwich special and I have to say it was the best pulled pork I have ever had...and at a bowling alley nonetheless. The pink onion thing things and sauce on it were delicious. I will definitely be returning again!!!PS the pizza was amazing this time and circular plus the french fries were perfectly crispy.lol
This is the BEST LASER TAG PLACE EVER!!! I came here with 5 of my family members, had the best time and literally spent $15 per person for 2 hours. It was insane how big the arena was. I felt like I was on a 90s Nickelodeon game show. Definitely recommend. They told me up to 24 people could play.
I was really impressed by the food here! Its not often that you visit a bowling alley and find that they have good quality, locally sourced ingredients. The building is clean, well maintained, and the lanes are in good condition. I just wish that the kitchen was open a little bit earlier. We went on a Saturday and it wasnt open for lunch until after 1. Maybe it was an off day? Id like to go back soon.
Since being renovated, this place is incredible! I come here often with my friends when I used to live in the area, and have not found a comparable bowling place since! Great job with the new look to make an old, run-down place look incredible and fresh to the public and children!
Cool place. Good Bowling experience. Half the staff were not interested in what they were doing, but the other half were great. Food options are minimal. Food seems to be pre cooked and frozen and then over re-heated. Facilities were disgusting. Services was slow. Lots of potential for a great family entertainment. I feel like management needs to improve.
My kids love this place .I must say it is a wonderful place over all .Ive been going there since my girls were babies. Now 28 .and still go as i take my son 10 and grandkids..yes I posted a not so great review the other day..but i was upset due to amix with my sons bday party..up as to why I was upset. But Marshall took care of the issue. He did meet me half way and go above and beyond to make me happy with how the party went. Thank you so much Marshall..
We threw a party for our 4 year old and invited all his little friends in the VIP room. The kids had a great time bowling, enjoyed their pizza & chips and rocked out in the arcade afterwards. Having the VIP area was essential for containing all the children and easing the minds of the attending parents. Our host was friendly & accommodating. The facility was clean and upbeat! I would definitely host another party there!
The place looks great but it’s so expensive now. Since when is it okay to charge 25 an hour per lane?Bowling used to be a fun thing to do with your friends on a Saturday night. Now if you stay more than a couple hours they charge you a small fortune. Spins has taken the fun out of it, now I’m constantly thinking about how much money I’m going to spend while I rush my friends into squeezing 2 games into an hour so I don’t have to take a small bank loan out to cover the bill. Shame...
For the most part its ok. It seems that broken games are a trend between the two locations. I had major problems at the wappingers location that was never rectified. And the poughkeepsie location doesnt seem to care about people not wearing masks. Its an outbreak waiting to happen.
No ice in fountain machine plus flat tasting. Waiting over an hour for a burger. No one puts bowling balls back in racks , leaving you with no ball to bowl. They should also add a credit card machine near lanes , so we can add another hour without waiting on a half hour line. Also the disco lights are distracting. And to top it off I couldnt rent bowling shoes because they didnt have any 8s left. Positive end of this two day experience. The arcade is great, (except waiting for tickets to count, before you can swipe again to play) not many break downs. And last but not least every staff member I came across was extremely nice and attentive. I just think place needs a walk around staff member to make sure all is going well and owner seeks some new convenience for customers.
The renovation is nice, and the new seating is very club/lounge-like, but the prices are a rip-off for both bowling and the arcade. I get that they are trying to up the atmosphere, but its still a bowling alley, not a nightclub. Im sad that they have bought up all the alleys in the area because now I have to actively search for a bowling alley that still charges a normal rate per game.
It was a fun night, a little pricey for bowling so I dont think we will be making this a frequent event. For the price they charge u to bowl I expected the bathrooms to be a bit cleaner. They were a mess and there was no towels in the bathrooms to dry ur hands with. Very disappointed.
This place is off the beaten path and while the outside entryway is small and hardly noticeable, the interior is chock filled with fun. Bowling, billiards, shuffle board, ping pong, and video games. The staff were helpful and polite, as were a few other customers we spoke with.
Nicely renovated and modern. Great for kids and families, they have an arcade, laser tag and party room. They also have a Paterno’s pro shop, which is a plus. Kudos for replacing the Twister pins! They brought back the traditional wood pins, probably due to concerns from their league bowlers. There is nothing like the sound of knocking 10 real maple bowling pins into the pit! The Twisters sounded like you were hitting plastic milk bottles. Pin carry with them was odd, too. Sometimes you would leave unusual spares that you wouldn’t expect, although you could sometimes get breaks that you wouldn’t get with wood. Since the emphasis is more on kids, parties, etc, it is best to visit at off peak times so you are not right next to the little ones with bumpers. They do offer some good competitive leagues, and have a sport league in the summer.
Fun but extremely overpriced the only things nice about it is they have a birthday party room which was great for my nieces birthday they had their own Lanes but again very pricey but if its raining or you just like the bowl it is a clean fun place to be just remember bring money
I had a birthday party here and I liked the lazer tag bowling and everything except the arcade I was playing a game it took 2 points and the game did not work so I ask the man for 2 points that’s only 2 cents and he did not give me it so I went to get the manager the guy says come on guys it’s only 2 points so they gave me the points and I playedReply if this happens to YOUTHANKS FOR GIVING ME YOUR EXPERIENCE IN THE ARCADE

2022-04-30Very nice. Lots to do, besides bowling, if you choose. Separate room with lanes available, for parties/privacy. Arcade has great variety. Friendly staff, and a nice open bar area. Recommended for a fun time with the family.

2022-01-24We had our sons 7th birthday bowling party here in the VIP room recently. I worked with Antonia and she was awesome. Super responsive as soon as I filled out the form on the website. Got right back to me and talked through the details and had a contract back very fast. An hour for kids that age for bowling was just enough time. The pizza, wings, fruit that I ordered came out at a timely fashion and were pretty good. All the kids had a fun time. Thank you.

2022-02-25Nice bowling alley, great atmosphere and staff is nice.Area for improvement1) When it’s even a little busy the line at the checkin counter is hard to follow. It’s just a mass of people standing around. Hard to tell where the line starts and ends. People were just jumping in line from the side to order food. Check in took way too long for a weekday2) the bar staff is unbelievably slow. When you rent a lane by the hour you need to be able to order quickly. It was painful.

2017-07-24Fun place to go. Bowling lanes were nice and clean. Nice size arcade with a good variety of games. Lazer tag was really fun! Pool tables, ping pong. Nice area to sit and eat. Menu is simple with a good selection. Our pizza was decent and chicken tenders were good. Little pricey but overall still fun and great for kids. Ive only been here early in the day so its pretty calm. I dont know what nights are like.
