I enjoy coming to this place, the food is great, the atmosphere is very cozy and the service is wonderful, I love Emilys attention to her customers and Ronaldos great help with his recommendations, the two of them always make me feel at home, the portions of food are great compared to the price, I would just always come back to this place
Gorgeous open space and delicious clean healthy food. Literally the best dressings ever and such a variety of menu options. All the staff at the restaurant was so attentive and even though it’s a counter service cafe and we sat outside it was still a full service dining experience.
LOVED working with Ronaldo!! My husband and I stopped by for a quick lunch before we headed to an appointment. The food did not disappoint, well definitely be back to try the other mouth-watering options on the menu. And the service was above and beyond! I cant wait to go back and say Hi to Ronaldo.
I never write reviews about places but this definitely deserves it, I want to start saying that since I went in this place I could feel the good vibes, today was not my day when Ronaldomade me feel 100%!! he is a person with a beautiful energy I’ll never been in another place on the city where someone has made me feel like him, I have to highlight the food and drink were also delicious , the place is amazing , I just want to finish by saying that Spring Café, Ronaldo and the food they are a 100/10.
Breakfast is absolutely awesome! Place is cozy and warm. The best part? The manager, Storm, went above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience for someone new in town. Nobody asks for ID & vac card to dine in California, and this really made me so uncomfortable. Thanks to Storm, my time in this great breakfast place turned from being an unwanted guest to a very welcoming experience!
I live above this place so I was hoping for a solid local spot to frequent for a healthy / quick bite... sadly it is not that place.TL;DR: Its expensive and wildly bland.I know we are going for a health forward menu but the food resembles the first time you are cooking at home and you forget a key ingredient or miss a step in the recipe. Something feels missing from their dishes bc the food is uninspired. Then pair that drab dish with an $$$ price tag... you become disappointed in this institution. The value is simply not there. For reference it was $60 for two in what feels like a fast casual spot. Also, the music is on a weird pop channel that also made it hard to sit through. You easily change the atmosphere with a better station. On a positive note:- Location is great- The idea of the restaurant is good (I just hope the change the menu and music)- My wait time wasnt as bad as the others mentioned- Smoothie isnt bad
Today I was in this place for first time in the morning and I really enjoyed the experience I want to thank Ronaldo for being patient with me sincerely I am very indecisive and he knew how to help me, he is a very nice person, I hope everyone who goes to this place can be served by him, the quality of the food and drinks are so good that you can feel them in every bite, I ate a farmer’s omelet and a fresh green juice
This place looks cute but I have yet to enjoy anything I’ve had in the 3 times I’ve been there. This last time we ordered 2 mochas, one hot, one iced. They gave us 2 hot ones and the barista was visible annoyed when I said we ordered one iced mocha. 10 minutes later the iced mocha came out and it was hands down the worst mocha I’ve ever tasted. It tasted like dollar store chocolate syrup mixed with water. Not even sure if there was any espresso in there. When my mom was halfway done with her hot mocha we noticed a hair in it. Disgusting. The workers did not even do anything when we brought it to their attention, just said “oh” and took the cup away. Definitely never coming back. If you want good coffee or seasoned food don’t bother coming. The drinks are bad, the food is bad, the customer service is even worse.
Great food and fresh. Great neighborhood addition! Yes, its a popular restaurant and you may have to wait. Its not a fast food spot. Everyone needs to have a little more patience for new restaurants to hit their groove. I had a great experience and did not have to wait very long even during peak lunch hours.
I really love the concept and that it is organic and vegan, but I have come back to try multiple menu items and everything is so bland. The texture is great, but truly there is absolutely zero flavor.Tried the below:Falafel WrapBurgerSuperhero BurritoThe service was pretty bad (30+ Minute wait for for the food), but it’s new so I hope that’s just growing pains! I wish they would figure out a way to enhance the flavors of the menu items, because it’s such a great space!
The restaurant is very cozy. The menu is extensive and everything in it is delicious. I had the burrito this time and it didn’t disappoint. I also had the cesar salad and the Mediterranean, both were very fresh, crunchy and tasty. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
The vibe of the place plays to everything a stereotypical wellness oriented person would want but they miss out on a big component-good service . Every time I have come, 3 times now, I have to wait 30 minutes for a Togo order. No one apologizes or makes it a big deal so I assume this is the norm. There is also no personality that can be picked up from the employees. No one is smiling or even talking to eachother in a way that seems like they’re enjoying their job so I think they should really work on their culture (and efficient processes).
I just went to their opening last night and I must say, I had a great experience! I’m not a vegetarian/vegan but man, I really enjoyed their nachos. They also sell this really good blood orange rosé that I’m sure will sell out every day. It was that good! I would definitely go there again and recommend this to anyone whether you’re vegetarian/vegan or not.
The burgers and cookies are soooo good. Haven’t tried anything else but definitely top veggie burgers I’ve had. It comes with corn chips which is kinda weird so I subbed it out for the potatoes and they were a little oily but delicious. 4 stars because it’s so expensive and can take the food awhile to come out.
Food: both dishes were bland. There’s a good amount of food to fill you up, but every bite makes you wish you brought some salt with you. The huevos rancheros looked more like a grey paste with small chunks of vegetables, eggs, and tortillas thrown into it. The only redeeming aspect of the meal was the quality of the carrots. They showcase their vegetables in a glass fridge, so I’m guessing that their selling point is the freshness of their vegetables.Price: Way too expensive considering the blandness of the food.Aesthetic: The restaurant has a nice aesthetic, but it’s very loud.
Unfortunately, the service is just very bad here. Went for breakfast and the ordered and avo toast and grits, took over 30 minutes and the grits had lumps in it, the avo toast was guacamole on toast and when we asked for no onions, they returned with just some sliced avocado and bread but none of the chili oil or anything else. I really want to like this place! but they need to step up on service and food
Ordered food and waited over 70 minutes for food.. still waiting as I write this. When I ordered it they said 30-40 minutes. Keep asking where the food is and they keep lying!! Imagine they will close soon if they can’t figure this out. People asking for refunds right and left. Just awful!
There was a literal worm in my soup. The waitstaff did not apologise and had the gall to insist it was a sautéed purple onions. Cut onions aren’t circular or long and thin! Horrible experience. They offered a refund but the fact that they looked me in the eye and said I was mistaken was *culinary gaslighting.* ew ew ew

2022-03-09I was pretty disappointed with my avocado toast. It was $15 and the avocado was not fresh (tasted like it came out of packaging). However, my latte was good and the staff was nice. Would maybe try going here again, but would definitely not order the avocado toast.

2022-07-31I would come back here for the ambiance! Its such a chill spot with good music that I give it 5-stars just for that. I think its a great place to study if you want to get out of the house for some coffee/sweets. I had a gluten-free and vegan cookie -- it was ok.

2022-02-13I was visiting NYU and grabbed a bite here. It was a cold rainy winter day. I had to order food from the counter first and saw healthy vegetarian food choices. I ordered mushroom risotto and oat milk latte. It was quite packed with students and visitors. The dining room was bright and clean. Food was good but a bit pricey - typical NY premium built in. I won’t seek to come back, but if I am in the area I will visit again.

2021-11-01A cute cafe located around NYU. I went there to work and eat breakfast. It gets very busy and loud to take meetings. The food options are very very healthy and the portions are large. However; the food was plain and dry. I was a bit disappointed for the price I was paying with how it tasted. They also don’t serve ketchup. That was surprising.

2022-08-2223$ takeout (not even delivery) for this salad is a joke. No superfoods in the superfood salad except the add on broccoli (two tiny pieces for $3) and the add on cauliflower (three tiny pieces for 3$) - no avocado no nothing, just kale with celery and zucchini essentially. What a rip off.

2022-03-04This is one of my favorite places in the city!!! The food is SO good, so clean. Everything Ive gotten has been 10/10. Tastes like elevated home cooked meals that you can never nail but then way better. Vibe is adorable. So great to do work here - huge windows, tons of seating. PB banana cookie is fire too. They killed it.

2022-05-27Great portions, fresh food, and so many vegan and gluten free options. The restaurant invests in high quality produce and tasty, healthy salads, I recommend the Greek salad. Also a great to spot to eat lunch and work with your laptop. 8.5/10! My two friends also went and loved it and recommend the carrot vegan dessert
