We attended an evening event there and the parking area does not having any lights. I was forced to leave early because I didnt want to be rushed while trying to find my way safely to my car. Also...had to wait in line for each wine tasting and food. Then, wait for the food to be prepared because they ran out. I dont recommend this place for anyone with mobility issues.
My daughter was married there this weekend. The venue was beautiful and the staff amazing and thats where the positive ends! Very poor communication from the owner. She was rude to our vendors and guests. My daughters flowers were stolen. (A 6 arbor...not something that a person could just snag and leave with, wired to the gazebo). The owner allowed tour bus loads of people thru our event all day. Dad paid for a private event! For that kind of money, the entire winery should have been closed for us.Could go on but it doesnt get better. Will never visit this place again.
I attended a wedding here, and this place is gorgeous! Unfortunately, thats about all it has going for it. Where to begin... The owner was extremely rude to me and the wedding guests throughout the evening. There were busloads and carloads of people which werent invited to the wedding showing up all day to the venue for tastings. This made it difficult to get pictures taken without strangers in the background or getting in our way. So many non wedding guests at the venue was not only annoying, but flat out unacceptable. We were not there to have a wedding amongst dozens of strangers, we were there to celebrate exclusively with friends and family. A number of the people that were there that were not wedding guests were visibly drunk and made a number of inappropriate comments to us as we were trying to celebrate our friends special day. In the end, we had a great time being with family and friends celebrating our friends special day, but the owner definitely made this a lot less enjoyable than it should have been. If youre looking for a wedding venue, save yourself some time and dont even consider this place.
What a beautiful venue to host your event !! We had a wonderful experience this weekend where our friend hosted her milestone birthday!! Tamre, the owner and her hard working team (esp Mandy)were extremely flexible, caring and pleasant! They went out of their way to accommodate our needs and to make this a memorable event! Highly recommend this place !!
Beautiful venue, horrible Owner. On top of all of the negative experiences we had leading up to the wedding after having a great experience with a former wedding coordinator (who left and nobody told us until months later when we asked for her) that ultimately got us to book the venue, the owner was EXTREMELY rude to every single one of my vendors. Each one of them told me throughout the night how rude she was to them. To make matters worse, she was even rude to my guests. I had numerous guests come to me and complain. She even went as far as moving around table decorations that my mother in law had already set up before the ceremony. The staff that managed the event after she left at night were absolutely amazing. They were extremely nice and I had a lot of compliments about that from guests. Its unfortunate that the entire experience wasnt the same throughout the day because it really is a nice venue. The next day when we arrived to cleanup we found that our large arbor flower arrangement had been stolen, which had been secured tightly with wire. When asking the owner about this she simply said, Someone from your wedding party mustve taken it. and walked away. The perfect cherry on top of a terrible experience. I will never return to this venue, nor will any of my guests. Each of my vendors said they will never return and will make sure they recommend to others not to book this venue for how poor they were treated. The most unfortunate part about this review is that this isnt even half of the issues we had. Oh! and by the way, your drink package with the venue if you do book here? Dont expect that to include WATER!
I wanted to take the time to give Spring Lake Winery a 5 Star review! As a local wedding photographer (and owner of SoundWave DJ and Photo) I have to say that every time our company has worked with Spring Lake it’s been an over all amazing wedding. The entire staff especially Kate the wedding coordinator goes above and beyond making sure your day is just perfect. Kate is very attentive to details, keeping the night flowing on time and just is the sweetest person. The bartenders are very awesome too! All of my brides have mentioned how amazing their overall experience is as well. Venues like this just make it so easy for vendors like us and most importantly the bride and groom. The scenery and atmosphere is just absolutely breathtaking. If your looking for a great place to host event - Spring Lake is for sure on my top 5 in the area!! Can’t wait to be back and work more weddings with all of you!
I had my bridal shower here last month and although the winery has a beautiful outdoor atmosphere, and delicious food, the owner has very poor communication and is not pleasant to work with. Spring Lake used to have an event coordinator who was very nice and responsive; however, I’m not sure what happened to her, and then Tamre took over. My matron of honor had to constantly follow up on emails with her, as she would not respond. We had asked to use the projector to display our engagement photos and again, she was very unresponsive on that, besides telling us the cost, of course. On the day of my shower, I was in the back room showing Tamre’s staff how to get the photos to display on the projector - it was rediculous and poor planning/customer service on their end, yet they still charged us for it! The staff was taking wine tokens from my guests, as well as me, before they even had their wine and were removing unused tokens off the tables before anyone had an opportunity to use them, since they were already paid for! The seasonal caramel apple sangria was a disappointment, it was watered down, and tasted like cider with no alcohol. As soon as the clock struck 2pm, Tamre and her staff were like a tornado going through the shower removing things from tables, it was not a welcoming environment that was for sure...but she had the nerve to quickly say she’d take all the wood slices we hand cut for our mason jars full of flowers (unreal...coming from the woman who was quick to charge for a projector of photos that I had to set up myself, as the bride). In the end, the rush to clear our tables was not to set up for another event, but to simply get the football game on the big screen - thanks for the rush, Tamre. She was so unappreciative of our support to her local business! My mom and I for some ungodly reason decided to go for lunch a few weekends later (because like I said, the food is good and the environment is nice), and again, there’s Tamre up front and center saying how she could not serve us lunch because we didn’t have reservations. You’re an outdoor facility! We would go sit in the grass for god sake with our lunch...AND after we just spent over $1,000 for an event, you couldn’t serve us? Such GREAT customer service isn’t it?! Needless to say, I will never go back, nor will any of my family or bridal party because they were just as disappointed in her. I guess it’s a good think the Niagara Wine Trail drooped Spring Lake...
We were married on Sept 7, 2013 at the winery, unfortunately that day it rained off and on all day and I didnt know until I arrived where we were going to be, since I hadnt wanted to think about rain on my special day. Luckily Kate had a back up plan put into place. When I got there, tables had been moved and the decorations to be used at the gazebo were set up in the back reception area and we were married in the back. It worked out well and our friends and family felt it was more personal because everyone was around us. We had a small wedding with about 65-70 people so we had plenty of room. I was worried at first having trouble reaching Kate our hostess on the phone and having so many questions and concerns, but once we got together I had no problems and felt they did a great job of listening and taking care of little details I did not think to ask. I loved having my wedding outside even though we couldnt actually be outside.
Going to a vineyard should always be an experience of peace and enjoyment, but if you add a beautiful view of a lake, the sounds of nature and an exceptional service then this vineyard is the ideal place ... I can say that even the angel that was at the entrance captivated me, I even took a little walk around the lake to take some photos that were fabulous like that place, super recommended and the quality of the wine is one of the best I have tasted

2021-06-18Nice place. Very scenics and very relaxing atmosphere. Wines seem to have a little bit for everyone taste buds. Was sad though to find out cafe foods are not fresh made and are out of cans ie. soups. Still tasted good though. If they made their own foods in the Cafe this place would be the greatest ever. And why only 4 stars.

2021-09-01We visited the vineyard this afternoon and was met with such a pleasant server, Landon. He was attentive and very knowledgeable. He certainly made us feel at home and definitely made us want to visit again. We had a flight(each wine was exceptional) along with a bourbon/cigar. The vineyard is beautiful and well kept. The chef came out to great us and was just as pleasant, adding to such an exceptional experience. We thank you for a most pleasant afternoon.

2021-07-19The wines were good, the views were great and the service was excellent. We only stopped by for a tasting and enjoyed the wine, the woman serving us was very knowledgeable about the area and wines. She was also extremely friendly. The winery itself was a beautiful setting on a large pond or lake with walking trails out in the woods. Very beautiful setting. I did not try any food but would like to give it a try next time. They also have a full bar for the non wine drinkers in the group. Oh they had cigars too if thats your thing.

2021-10-10Wonderful place we went to for a wedding.. A nice gentleman named Dominic helped us with our aunt who had a hard time walking. He came out of nowhere and picked her up and brought her back with his golf cart. You can feel the love we will definitely return.

2021-10-03We were met with Landon and Louise, both very hospitable and helpful during our first time visit. I especially liked the Cheese platter, Veggie wrap and brought home 2 bottles of the bourbon-red. The variety of wine for tasting was fabulous!
