First time visiting, office seems brand new. Decoration was modern, clean office. Called to make an appointment and they were able to schedule one for few days later on Saturday. Love that I can send insurance information before my visit to confirm it is in network. Was seen by a medical assistant and Dr. Dhingra after checking in on the iPad. Dr. Dhingra was friendly and knowledgeable and reassure my moles are normal and no concern for melanoma. Will definitely come back to this office and Dr Dhingra for future dermatology needs.
I cannot say Ive had a great experience, thus far.On my initial appointment, my skin condition was misdiagnosed. I was instructed to follow-up three days later, if things did not resolve. As a result of the newer communication system, Klara, I did not get a call-back until it was too late to speak to a doctor. I was given an appointment for the following Monday. The person I spoke with booked the appointment at the wrong location, meaning I had to commute 40 minutes into Soho at 9 a.m., to be told I did not have an appointment, and that they could not squeeze me in to be seen. The receptionist gave me a virtual appointment with a doctor upon hearing images were taken of my condition. That doctor indicated to me he could not actually assess my lip on the virtual call, and requested that I come in, instead (an hour away). He asked me to go into the soho location, where i was likely misdiagnosed a second time. I asked the cost of the procedure before I consented. No one was able to tell me how much it was. An office manager came into the room, after 45 minutes of me waiting, to tell me she was inserting an unrecognizable code. It was so hot I was sweating. The amount I am paying is still unclear, but is in the hundreds. The treatment did not work. I received a phone call this morning from a person with a generally uncomfortable tone, to tell me my condition could be cancer... but its nothing we need to rush to make an appointment for. Theyve now asked me to travel uptown, to meet with another doctor... a total of 4 visits, if I went to this one, hundreds spent, and no resolution. I honestly cannot remember the last time I left an office feeling totally unsure of what my medical condition was. This experience has generally not been a good one for me. I have sourced another office.
I’ve been going to spring street for almost a year now, but after yesterday’s experience - it may be my last. yesterday was my first time visiting the new office, and the receptionist i interacted with was not warm AT ALL. she was more concerned with me “having a seat” than addressing my concerns/ needs. i requested billing support and -again- she was more concerned with me “having a seat” than offering support with the issue. just terrible!
Doctor huizenga is great but all the administrative related staff at spring street are so incredibly difficult to work with or get a hold of which makes the experience super frustrating to get care. This past fall I had an urgent medication that needed their office to help me apply for and appeal with the medicine company and my insurance. Something that could have taken just a couple weeks dragged out over two months since their staff kept dropping the ball on following up with the process, nor did they understand the process very well. I had to follow up with them every week for over two months and call my insurance for them since they weren’t really doing checking the status or doing the follow up despite this being an urgent medication needed for me.And now recently it’s been impossible to get a hold of anyone at the office through phone or klara (their messaging portal) to just try to make a simple check up appointment. Their website seemingly says they turned off online booking until May due to system updates but whenever I call their office number no one ever picks up it goes straight to voicemail. Then when I message them online requesting if they have openings on specific days, it takes them over 24-36 hours just to ask me when I would like to make an appointment….. like I already gave you the dates I’m interested in, why are you asking me again what dates do I want? And then I reiterate the dates I’m looking to check and it takes them another 24+ hours before they respond. The next day I message again asking to follow up on my appointment request and a different person on their portal AGAIN asks me when would I like to make my appointment, even though they could just scroll up one message and see what dates I’m inquiring about. And then when they finally call my cell after I left a voicemail for them early in the morning, they call me literally 5 minutes before their office closes. So I miss their call by 10 minutes because normal people have work, call them back, and of course they don’t pick up. It’s been 3 days since I first called/texted their office and I have yet been able to reach someone to just help me figure out when I can make an appointment. It really makes me question if I should just find a different dermatology office that isn’t such a headache to chase down to do normal admin things like making an appointment even though I like the doctor a lot.
Dr. Nektalova is the best. She was the only person that could identify what was going on with me after many failed attempts. The amount of time she put into my care was what made me realize that I will never go elsewhere and will recommend her to anyone I know. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. So glad that I found this office.
I went in for annual skin cancer screening. Dr Dhingra examined my skin and gave me some tips to protect my shoulders, which seemed to have the most sun damaged. He addressed all my concerns and made me feel comfortable. I’ve been working really hard to protect my skin, since my melanoma diagnosis a number of years ago. Highly recommended!
I have been a patient at Spring Street for several years and have never received better dermatological care. I have suffered from horrible eczema since I can remember and my inflammation is now under control. in the last few years, Dr. Dhingra and I have been working together and he is warm and knowledgeable. I highly recommend the practice.
First time ever for me at a dermatologist office. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. From the lady at the front desk to the medical assistants and my doctor Taryn Huizenga.Doctor Taryn answered all of my questions with great knowledge and made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend this dermatology practice. A+++
Its always a pleasant visit with Dr. Love. Shes so friendly and engaging. The treatment she prescribe for me is working and Im loving the skin Im in. She listens to her patients and will give you the best regimen treatment that best fit your daily routine, health and comfort level. Looking forward to seeing her in 6 months. thank you Dr. Love.
Dr. Dhingra is heaven sent! He was the first person to flag my symptoms of what is now diagnosed as Lupus. I went through so many highly qualified doctors from NYU who had no answer for me before I landed on him, he is very well versed in skin reactions and autoimmune diseases to the point where he has more knowledge than most rheumatologists I’ve come across. I am so grateful to have stumbled on this place, 10/10 recommend!
I have visited Spring Street Dermatology for both medical and cosmetic procedures, and I think this practice is absolutely phenomenal. I always feel like I am in the most capable hands, whether it’s the doctors, a PA, or the lovely and kind assistants throughout the office. I’ve had a particularly great experience with laser hair removal, and I would not go anywhere else to get this done. Joey Pang, who does the laser hair removal, is impeccable, thorough, and incredibly knowledgeable. Highly highly recommend Spring Street Derm!!
Truly a wonderful experience. I can’t say enough good things about the practice and Dr. Palep. She gives me the opportunity to ask tons of questions and help me fully understand my options. I always look forward to my appointments which I can’t say about any of my other doctors. In addition to doing my yearly skin cancer screening, I have had laser hair removal with fantastic results. I used to have to shave my legs every other day and now I barely shave them once a month (and it’s just a few stray hairs).
Review is about Dr. Elyse Love.I thought as a woman of color she could help me but I was wrong. She is very quick with you and don’t cate if you have allergic reactions to medication she prescribed. She lacks bedside manner as well. She never called me until a day later regarding my allergic reaction and NEVER apologized for the late response. She may have been recommend by ELLE magazine but they are wrong. All she wants to push on you is Accutane. She never looked into my diet or anything else to find out what’s causing my issues. And she barely looks at you, meaning she doesn’t do a thorough examination, she is very quick. She also recommended a shampoo which dried my hair out completely… as a person of color why would she recommend this. So she doesn’t understand brown-dark skin. It’s like I went to a “regular” dermatologist. Waste of my time.
The experience of Spring St. Dermatology was terrific. The people are top notch and Eboni, Joey and Regina could not be nicer. Everyone was professional and the service was excellent. Joey is very knowledgeable about skin so I felt was in excellent hands the whole time. I’ll definitely be back.
Dr. Love at the SoHo location is amazing. I have been twice now to SoHo and TriBeCa for my annual skin cancer check. Both doctors were incredibly thorough. I have a family history of melanoma so I’m a bit paranoid about my freckles and moles. Dr. Love took my concerns about a few moles seriously enough to have them removed and biopsies completed. Thankfully benign! She has wonderful bedside manner and I will be going back to her!! I dont understand the bad reviews as I have not experienced anything negative. My copay was $60 in office and Ive been billed later for an additional $60 because they are part of Mt. Sinai (and thats were the biopsies were done). The first time this happened I called the office and they explained it to me right away. Didn’t feel shady at all. Sucks to pay twice but not their fault. Derms are expensive anywhere and if any group is to blame for coverage its the health insurance companies. The office is clean, the front desk staff have always been very kind as well. I made the appointment by calling them and they were very accommodating. I had to wait maybe 15 minutes past my appointment time because they were busy but it wasn’t a big deal and Dr. Love still took her time in checking my skin and listening to my concerns and questions. (Another staff member even came back to my room to apologize for the delay and let me know they hadn’t forgotten about me.) Thank you!! I’ll be back!
Lily was amazing and comforting. She actually gave me useful information and didn’t dismiss me with suggestions to try, as most consultations go. I feel so much better, thank you for your help and running the proper tests. It really felt as though they cared and wanted to help, very rare to find in most medical practices.
I have never had a bad experience with doctors at Spring street dermatology. All my concerns, from weird looking birth marks to acne, have been taken seriously. The doctors are always on time and dont rush through the appointments. Couldnt recommend Spring Street Dermatology more highly.
New Review(5/28/2021): After meeting with Dr Dhingra, I can confidently say that he is one of the best dermatologists out there! His bed side manners are excellent and he has a confident approach. He is open to all questions and his suggestions are practical. I am happy that I gave them a second chance after my earlier disappointing experience(OLD REVIEW). Dr Dhingra is young and very smart. I liked the vibe and would definitely recommend him to my friends and family. The medical assistant Caesar was also very proactive and helpful. The people in the front desk were very calm today🙂. Over all, this was an 5 star experience. I am happy to have found a very good dermatologist in Dr Dhingra.OLD REVIEW:An extremely disappointing experience. Would not recommend anyone!!This was my very first time I was going to this clinic. I was around 20 mins late(16 min to be precise). I asked to see the doctor but was told to reschedule and come again!! I requested to see any doctor available but was turned down. The receptionist was polite but was not helpful. I understand if I was many hours late and if I had made an unreasonable request. I also informed them that, since it was my first time there, I got lost and the maps showed me a different building. Wasted my productive time coming here!! It’s not like I was coming for my interview. Zero empathy shown by the management.
Dr. Nikhil Dhingra is an absolute gem! He takes the time to understand concerns and recommend solutions he believes will work for each individual issue. He never over does it. I have recommended him to at least 3-4 other friends who are now also regular patients. Thank you, Dr. Dhingra!
Im writing in regards to my laser genesis treatment. I was recommended by my derm to try it she told me it would improve redness and acne scarring. I then asked about pricing and was quoted a set price for a package of 4. This was all through the messaging system Klara. At my first appointment when I went to pay, the front desk staff went to the back chatted with the dr and someone else and came back with a different price ($200 more) than I was originally quoted without me even saying anything. I told her I was told through klara that it would be x amount she went back again and chatted with doc and came to tell me there was miscommunication but theyll honor it and basically the doctor will have to answer about why I was given x price.I was definitely thrown off by this and Im glad I had proof through klara since they knew what they were doing and trying to overcharge me. Two out of four of my appts my doctor was over 35 mins late. And seemed like the sessions kept getting shorter and shorter since I was seen so late in the hour and she was obviously overbooked as someone came to see the same doctor as I was waiting in the waiting room and had an appt after me but was seen before me. Also, I am not 100% sure how the LG machine work but I asked the staff member if the dr turns up the machine each session and she told me typically yes. But I felt no difference after each session, I was offered an ice roller each time but never needed it. 4 sessions later and lots of money lost, Im still struggling with my acne scarring and redness. I wish I had done more research since now Im spending my time looking for other treatments to help my skin issues and becoming very costly.
I have been seeing Dr. Palep for over 10 years. Dr. Palep and her staff are exceptional. I recommend and send all of my family and friends to see her. She also treats my two daughters and husband. She sets the bar very high for dermatologists. She takes her time, sits down next to you and explains options to treat all levels of issues and offered me options to screening and prevention. This was very important to me and my family. The office is professional and responsive and has been consistently so since my very first visit. She also has hours in the evening to accommodate those not able to break from school or work in the daytime.
I have been coming to dr Joey Pang for few years now. I use her services and expertise for botox injections, fillers and dermatological problems. I have been very satisfied with her work and have been referring her to all my friends. With cosmetic dermatology I find important to feel comfortable with the doctor and trust their skills and advice. i was very hesitant with injections but felt safe to try after consulting with dr Pang. She walked me through the process, explained the risks and symptoms, also advised on best procedures to accomplish my goals. I am very happy with the results. I was also able to consult any concerns, questions, doubts which made me very comfortable with the process. I highly recommend using this doctor to anyone.
Dr. Palep and team are simply the best! I’ve only had positive experiences over the last 4 years I have been seeing her. She always takes great care of me and makes sure to spend the time to explain what she’s doing and what she recommends. I’ve recommended her to all my friends and family and they’ve all had similar experiences. On top of all that, the offices are clean, bright and spacious, which is super important right now.
Dr. Dhingra is amazing. He’s by far the best dermatologist I’ve ever had. After years of complaining about my acne to dermatologists, this is the first time I’ve felt truly heard and supported. He knew exactly what to do for me and had my acne, which I’ve struggled with for over 15 years, gone in 3 months. Cannot recommend him more!
One of the best dermatologists I have ever been to! Dr. Dhingra is very kind and was extremely helpful with my skin/scalp issues. He has, in my opinion, gone above and beyond to help outside of my initial appointment to find just the right products. Love this place :)
I honestly cannot say enough great things about this practice or Dr. Palep. I have literally sent her every one of my friends and my family members who have come to me with a problem that they had that has not been rectified by their doctor and they travel from near and far to see her. Every single person that I have sent to her, calls to thank me because she fixed their issue! The staff is overly accommodating when you have an issue that needs to be urgently resolved. Dr. Palep is the first doctor that I have met that truly cares about her patients! She is caring and smart and I trust her. If it wasnt for her, who knows where I would be as she is the one that found the pre-cancerous mole on my leg that my previous dermatologist missed. She cleared up the melasma on my face that made me beyond self conscious for years! Additionally, she is the only person that I trust for Botox, I always leave her office looking refreshed and years younger. She never overdoes it, pushes costly unnecessary procedures on me or tries to sell me products that I dont need. Thank you Spring Street Derm, for keeping me healthy and looking my best!
Dr. Joey Pang is excellent!!!!! Extremely professional, welcoming and skilled. Joey Pang has a good concept of customer service, very efficient scheduling and intake system. Everyone there were attentive and nice. It’s not my first timing seeing her. Every time I saw her, I love the results she has done. First, My skin was super oily and Joey taught me how to handle it. Second, I had a very bad scar on my leg from the surgery I have done 2 years ago. Joey handled very well and it looks super nice now. Third, I had lots of acne scars. I asked her how to make my face flat :) She introduced the product called Secret RF treatment. This is amazing. I have done several times in China before but can’t compare to Joey’s one treatment. I saw huge improvements after 3 days.I really appreciate for your knowledge and patience on me. Of course, the perfect results!!!
Where do I begin? This place is, by far, the WORST, most unprofessional doctors office Ive ever visited in my life - and no, thats not an exaggeration. My doctor had good bedside manner, but I ended up finding out that she put a prescription authorization in without actually verifying i qualified for the script, and Im still wasting my time a month later w/ no communication from her, so, honestly, I cant confidently speak on the quality of her services. The bigger issue though, is the front desk staff. WOW. Snarky, unprofessional, attitude upon answering the phone, inept, presumptuous and of 0 assistance. How do you ANSWER the phone with an attitude, before the other person even says hello? The text messaging system is a complete joke. NO real way to communicate with your doctor. Oh, and i should mention that during my check-in the front desk person emailed me another patients receipt with their personal/financial info on it! The lawyer in me cringed. Honestly, Im envious. I wish I could be that unprofessional and unhelpful at my job and still be employed without consequence. I really wanted to support a Black doctor, but na, not like this.
Ive been going to Spring Street Derm for over 1.5 years and absolutely love it. Its clean, almost like a med-spa, and the doctors are amazing! Ive seen Dr. Mikhail and Dr. Joey Pang and theyre both amazing! They are kind, gentle and very easy to talk to - theyre like really cool doctor girlfriends! The lobby has a ton of free samples and the doctors answer all your questions (even about non-appointment related issues... like how to avoid wrinkles and the best sunscreens to use). I highly recommend to anyone looking for great doctors who do a great job!
From my first step into Spring Street Dermatology, I knew that my experience was going to go smoothly. From the cleanliness, to the decor, to the helpful staff- everyone truly helped to make my experience great. I had my first laser hair removal treatment ever done at this office with Genet Finnegan, RPA-C and it was absolutely fantastic. In addition to answering all my questions about the procedure, she was quite personable and put me at ease- something that isnt easy to do with a procedure this intimate! Ive seen great results- both decreased hair growth overall and decreased growth rate, as well. Id definitely recommend both this service and this provider to anyone!
I saw the PA, Joey Pang, today and had a wonderful visit! I’ve seen a lot of derms in the past and always felt rushed during my visits. But Joey was thorough and patient with me. She took the time to answer all my questions and walked me through the procedures! I will definitely be booking again with Joey.
Dr. Palep and her team are the absolute best. I have been seeing Dr. Palep for over 10 years and my experience has always exceeded my expectations. Dr. Palep always provides the most current scientific medical approach to combat my dermatological and cosmetic concerns. In addition to her medical approach, her bedside manner is unlike most doctors. She always takes the time to explain her thoughts so you thoroughly understand and are comfortable. The offices are also exceptionally well run, meticulous and efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Palep and Spring Street Dermatology.
I hardly ever leave reviews, but after years as a patient, I needed to share my experience. Spring Street Dermatology, specifically Dr. Palep, has completely changed my life. She is hands down the best dermatologist I have ever worked with. From the moment I walked in with my concerns, she was friendly, attentive, and actually listed to me. We came up with a long term solution on how to deal with problematic skin and I have honestly never looked better. Out of pure shame and embarrassment about my skin, I used to never be able to look at myself in the mirror. I even used to do my makeup in THE DARK because I couldnt deal with how bad the bumps and irritation on my skin made me look. After following her instructions and finding the right course of treatment, I dont even wear makeup out anymore and I honestly never though Id see the day where I had blemish free skin.SHE IS AMAZING! I would follow her to the ends of the earth and cannot recommend her enough.
I came here for a Laser Genesis treatment, and I was amazed at the results! Ive always had scarring issues from acne, but even in just one visit, I was able to tell a big difference. I love that this practice is so modern and high-tech. The messaging system takes some getting used to, but it actually has made my life so much easier in terms of being able to contact the office for everything from billing questions to smaller medical issues. They are always very responsive, and they really do have a way of putting you at ease. I was a little nervous at first because I had never gotten any cosmetic treatment, but they made me feel super comfortable. Highly recommend! I will definitely be back in the future for both cosmetic and medical issues.
Dr. Palep is by far not only the best dermatologist I have ever had but one of the best doctors I have ever encountered. My son had an outbreak of a very bad case of warts. After seeing other dermatologists who said they would go away on its own (it didn’t after 3 years) or tried freezing them (which caused my son an extreme amount of pain where we would have to hold him down to try and freeze them) I found Dr. Palep through a family member and she was the answer I was so desperately seeking! She used non painful treatments on my son to treat the warts and not only treated them on his skin but attacked the virus internally which no one had ever recommended before. Since we started seeing her in April the warts are almost entirely gone! My son was very self conscious about his condition and with Dr. Palep’s help he has regained his confidence! She is not only a caring doctor but a caring person always available and willing to answer a question or a fear with ease. Her help has been priceless and I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a top notch well informed dermatologist! Her practice in particular the SoHo location has helped me tremendously!
The doctor I saw was ok, as far as her bedside manner- not so good when it came to providing a tailored treatment. I came in for an eczema patch on my skin, which was thankfully healing. She responded “I don’t see the eczema patch but I do see acne scars.” Umm... ok. So me, being the naive girl that I was, asked what I can do about it. She didn’t tell me anything about diet, lifestyle, possibly something over the counter- no. Instead she prescribed a retinoid. Needless to say, it didn’t help, and it made things worse.. I’ll leave out the specific doctor’s name because I don’t want to expose her on the internet. With that being said, please take your business elsewhere. Just coming into the office makes me feel like I’m back in high school. The dermatologists seem to place so much value on their own looks and forget that they are dealing with patients, not contestants for a beauty pageant.
Dr. Palep is incredible for all dermatology needs. She takes excellent care of her patients. She invests the time, energy, thought and compassion to provide the best treatments possible for her patients. Since I started seeing Dr. Palep, my skin has improved dramatically. I wish I saw her years ago. The office is also very comfortable and a pleasant experience.
Please dont go there. This review isnt about the doctor or treatment, because I never met the doctor. It is about the front desk staff.I made an appointment for Monday June 22nd at 10:30am.The first screw-up occurred when I made the appointment. I wanted to see an MD not a physician assistant. I stated this clearly in my initial phone call. Of course the person with whom I made the appointment scheduled it with the physician assistant. Luckily I checked the name online and found out. I called back and reluctantly she agreed to change it to the MD. I dislike if you get charged for things you dont receive or ask for. I.e. if I order a filet mignon, I wouldnt accept a flank steak. The second mistake was the office location. The woman on the phone told me that the Spring Street office didnt have any appointments available, but they have other locations. I got an appointment at 73 Bank Street in the West Village. So far so good. When I went there on Monday the address and office didnt exist. I called the office again and the woman on the phone told me, we have no office there.Your appointment was at 73 Spring Street (between Lafayette & Crosby)!A flat out lie. I told her I live on Lafayette Street ( just a couple of blocks away). Why would I go all the way to Bank Street ( in the West Village)?I am a resident of Manhattan for over 30 years and I know the difference between Bank Street and Spring Street. When I called to reschedule, I just got the brush off. I was annoyed and disappointed.I texted them my frustrations and I got a call from a woman named Eboni, who told me she can reschedule me. At this point I was obviously upset, since I had wasted an entire day on this, and told her my time is as valuable as the doctors. I wanted a discount on my visit, because they charge you when you miss an appointment or dont cancel 24 hours in advance. She told me she would get back to me, but I never heard from her again. I gave her ample time. I am disappointed, that people are unable to admit their mistake and then unwilling to try to correct it.
I am writing 3ish years after my visit (yes it was that bad), the dermatologist had terrible bedside manner and downplayed my concerns when I asked her about options for treatment for a skin issue. They did not verify my insurance information correctly, I dont recommend this place at all.
Beautiful, immaculate office, one of the nicest Ive ever seen. I had a skin scan. I felt the doctor was quite competent, though Ive had skin scans in the past where the doctor has worn special glasses...it was very quick, perhaps 5 minutes. She was able to assure me a growth I had wasnt an emergency. However, I dont give this place a five because they use a third party billing company that asks one to join their website to get messages from this office, and when I emailed the office, I heard back not from the office but this third party website again with my bill and a choice to pay on a website link that didnt work, but that I finally figured out was perhaps meant to go to an apple pay site with a similar url. As well, I had sent a letter to the doctor through the front office asking a recommendation for a surgeon for my issue as my health insurance doesnt ask for a primary care referral, besides which that doctor was away, and in over a month never heard back, delaying my ability to treat an annoying issue. I believe the doctor is competent, however, I would be hesitant to use this office again when there is no communication back from the doctor in a timely manner, whether its an office issue or not.
I had the Miradry procedure done with PA Joey who explained the procedure very thoroughly. She walked me through every step. I was a little nervous at first but she was very nice and calming. The treatment was nearly painless and the results were even better. I have not sweat since!
I would give this experience ZERO stars if I could. I called Spring Street Dermatology and asked about IPL (laser) with Dr. Linkner. I was told someone would call me back. No one ever did. I wrote Dr. Linkner on Instagram and she did respond immediately. Her assistant called me, and we setup an appointment. She told me the consultation would be free. I reconfirmed. Twice I was told there was no fee for a consultation. I came into the city and checkin went smoothly. No one charged me anything. I was brought into the back. After waiting 15 min, a nurse came in and told me there was a mistake. That the consultation was $200 and I should have been charged. He even went to check with Dr. Linkner and I could hear her say she would not waive the fee. She couldn’t even come in and apologize. I ended up leaving. Her assistant called me and admitted she made a mistake. She still did not offer to waive the fee. Seems like a scam to me. Get someone in the chair and then charge them. Wouldn’t recommend!
I came here a while ago and got my extractions done. They started off by cleaning my face, exfoliating, and then they went straight into the procedure. It hurt a bit, but it was a tolerable pain. They told me what products I should be using, and which ones I shouldnt have. Thank God! Turns out I was using something that was giving me acne! They also gave me a sample of a cream to put on my face to keep my face clean and bacteria free. It look around two days for my face to calm down. During that time, it hurt a bit to touch. Its been about a week and I can definitely see a difference in my face! The bumps are gone and redness has decreased a lot! I definitely recommend getting your acne treated here! :) Plus, the staff is super nice!
THE MAGIC MAKER ... I can’t say enough positive things about my experiences with Dr. Sapna Palep @ Spring Street Dermatology!! I am 100% comfortable talking to her, she listens & performs magic on me every visit! The BEST!! I come in feeling like I need a facelift, leave with just a few simple injections (which she always makes it seem like nothing)!! I look rejuvenated, youthful & natural after fillers + botox. I swear it’s magic ... no downtime & lasts!! She’s amazing & I would recommend her to every single person!!!
Didnt feel like a very personal experience or that the doctor was being very attentive. Not very good communication between staff - I was given sample size skin medication that I think they just found laying around because when I got home the seal was broken and the tube was half empty.Maybe it was the time of day that I went (5pm) so everyone was just over it and had a long day but it felt very sloppy and rushed.Unfortunately I wouldnt recommend.
Had an amazing experience at the Chambers Street location with Genet Finnegan. She spent over 20 minutes in the room with me answering questions and making sure I was comfortable with the treatment. Ended up having the truSculpt procedure to melt away my stubborn muffin top It was painless and I swear I can already see a difference. Genet was calm, well mannered and a total pro. Highly recommend!
First time at this place. I had my reservations about whether I will get the treatment I needed. Would the doctor diagnose the issue or do I have to come back? I was relatively surprised the practice deco was professional and new. Staff was friendly, polite and attentive. Practice was busy. Jesleen Ahluwalia, MD saw me and immediately found the cause after examination. The staff was courteous and awesome.
I love this place. I came for radio frequency microneedle procedure. The staffs are very professional and knowledgeable. They all make you feel comfortable. RPA Joey attended to me and made the whole process easy. She was very thorough with the procedure and made sure that I felt comfortable. She would always asked me how I am feeling every step and would let me know what is going to happen next. She made me feel at ease with the procedure. I am very pleased with the outcome of the facial procedure they did to me and I will do it again with them. I highly recommend the procedure and RPA Joey . I would also like to thank RPA Robert who was there too. Thanks so much for making me feel comfortable and for the follow-up as to how I am doing.
This office used to be good, however, my most recent interaction with them was unbelievably disappointing: I scheduled an appointment with a doctor from that office via ZocDoc, and it was confirmed right away. Two weeks later (a few days before the appointment) I received an email from the office, asking me to confirm my appointment with another person, who is not even a doctor, but a physician assistant. I contacted the office about that, and they replied, that I am indeed scheduled to see this physician assistant. They explained it by the fact that ZocDoc does not allow them to list non-doctors on ZocDoc site, so they have to put a real doctors name even though the appointment is with an assistant. They also told me that if I want to see the actual doctor I requested while scheduling my appointment, Ill need to re-schedule for another day.I cancelled my appointment, and I am not going back to this office, even though Ive been their patient for years. This behavior is completely unacceptable and dishonest towards patients.
I wasnt even aware of the annual skin exam so when I got sunburnt and was worried about my skin health in general, I decided it was a good time to see a dermatologist. I scheduled my appt via ZocDoc with Dr. Ahluwalia for a weekday afternoon and noticed that many of the physicians at Spring Street Derm also work at other locations as well so beware that available openings may be spread out. There was also a bit of a wait around 30 min so plan accordingly as with all medical appointments.I was a bit nervous about the full body skin exam as I didnt know what to expect but the assistant and Dr. Ahluwalia were very attentive and made sure that I felt comfortable. The doctor answered all of my questions and was never pushy about any particular treatment or regiment. I left the office feeling more knowledgeable about my skincare and feeling more confident in seeking treatment from a dermatologist in the future if needed.
If you are looking for acne treatment, go elsewhere.Irresponsible dermatologist here. They do not take your own condition into account - just follow the book treatment and ignore all the red flags. I got prescribed the strongest acne treatment (accutane) when I don’t need, and I got a period of depression as a result.I went to another doctor where they just gave me topicals and dietary suggestions, and now my acne all gone w/o taking any drug.
SHADY BAIT AND SWITCH practice - avoid at all costs!I signed up to see Dr. Mikhail after conducting thorough research on her background and reputation. After booking an appointment on ZocDoc and showing up, I was informed I would be seeing Dr. Farberg - a doctor not even listed on their website. I was told that for legal reasons they cant list him ZocDoc and so appointments booked for Dr. Mikhail are actually bookings for Dr. Farberg. This is an incredibly shady practice - you shouldnt purposefully funnel appointments for an unlisted doctor through the listing of what appears to be a reputable doctor.
I had an appointment to see Dr. Uliasz. I arrived EXACTLY on time and did not see Dr. Uliasz until 45 minutes had passed. I was in the waiting room for approximately 20 minutes before I got called in to one of the patient rooms where I was briefed and interrogated by one of the underlings for 3 minutes so she could prep me and relay the information back to Dr. Uliasz. I dont see the point of the underling as I find it a bit uncomfortable telling someone else thats not my doctor my personal skin problems. Luckily for me I didnt have anything too embarrassing but I can only imagine other patients:Underling: ok what brings you in today to see the doctor?Patient: Are you the doctor?Underling: No I am not, but tell me what youre here for anyway, I promise I wont go back to my friends after work and talk about all the horrible skin problems I saw todayPatient: errr, Im here for my itchy pulsating hemorrhoids and bleeding sores all over my ass, do you need to see it first and then tell the real doctor that you saw it or just tell em that I have it?After the 3 or so minutes with the underling, I waited an additional 15+ minutes until Dr. Uliasz finally showed up. She did not apologize for making me wait, I told her I was waiting 20 minutes for her and was wondering what was going on, she ever so curtly and yet subtly, bluntly, and robotically responded I was with other patients. I dont like to rush my patients. without blinking or batting an eye. I didnt know it was possible for someone to be curt, subtle, blunt, and robotic, then I met Dr. Uliasz, shed be a master of charades if that was one of the clues. She claims she doesnt like to rush her patients, yet I felt rushed during my consultation and saw her for less than 5 minutes. There are only 3 maybe 4 patient rooms at this place, so she spent 45 minutes with 3-4 other patients and less than 5 with me? She also spoke fast and used a lot of skin doctor jargon without explaining or breaking it down in laymans terms. My skin problems were addressed but I did not like the approach and the time it took at all.If you like waiting, and dealing with doctors who dont know anything about customer patient care or have the slightest social common sense and proper bedside manners, and want to feel like youre in a game of Dermatology Jeopardy, then by all means go ahead and see Dr. Uliasz, otherwise Id HIGHLY recommend Dr. Palap, she is lightyears ahead of Dr. Uliasz in every category!
They mishandle my blood test, saying that my blood congealed before their lab can test it. This is after i had many blood test done prior, and never had this kind of issue. And they still charged for the test. Als o their assistant often have trouble finding the vein to draw blood, so i often got poke a couple of time before they can get it right. (i was on accutane).Unbelievable...dont get taken in by the outer appearance of a pretty office or doctors. Terrible service..
I feel I had to share this with anyone trying to get Kybella, That stuff that helps get rid of your neck fat. Bottom Line, yes it actually works and slims your neck. You will feel tingly sensation for a few days and the neck swells for a week or two, but then it just like magically shrinks after 2 weeks. I got it done with Dr. Dhingra (highly recommend!) -- Im bad with needles and he really really took the time to keep me calm and was very knowledgable. Its been three weeks now and I noticed a major difference in my neck--- Looking forward to my second treatment.
Please only see this dermatologist for cosmetic reasons. I saw them for acne which they were able to help with but when I developed an odd rash, they were unable to diagnose. They did a biopsy on my arm which wasn’t necessary and I’ll forever have that scar. I ultimately went to a dermatologist at Weill Cornell who immediately identified it and diagnosed it as PLC. It was treated and resolved within 2 weeks after suffering for 3 months because Spring Street Derm wasn’t able to help.
Friendly and modern on the surface, but service and professionalism completely lacking. Was told one thing by Dr Pang (about a rash), only to find out she was way off after seeing someone else, who actually helped. Was of course slapped with a hefty bill for the cursory assessment (and some wet wipes) and reminded of it over text message, from a snarky billing manager no less. Suffice to say, wont be returning.
I actually liked the doctors here but the way the office is handled leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Its clear that this place is much more interested in taking your money than helping. I would have religiously come here for my hair loss issues if it wasnt for this matter. But at this point, I much rather just leave to go find another dermatologist. I understand that theres a policy put in place for canceling a second time. But the first time I canceled was due to a family emergency and the rep had told me it was all handled. And never informed me that it would be considered my courtesy cancelation. I had thought this place had a heart and understood the reason enough to bypass it. Yet today when I had to cancel due to my insurance issues, I was told I would be charged. Rather than trying to work with a patient to be a long term customer, they rather send their billing department after me as if Im going to run away with their $50. I spent hundreds of dollars on for a treatment that wasnt paid for by my insurance. If they were caring enough to at least offer to reschedule as a courtesy rather than rigidly sticking to their policy, they would still have a paying customer in me. But instead, they have a dissatisfied patient who is warning all to go away if you want an office who cares about you more than the monetary value you represent to them.
I am blown away by the attention and thoughtfulness shown by Dr. Linkler and Dr. Ahluwalia. I came in with a very severe case of Poison Oak and when I was overwhelmed they got me in right away and helped me. They even followed up on their own accord. Plus, I never waited long enough to even open a magazine in the lobby. They use a messaging system called Klara, which makes it even easier to communicate. You essentially DM with the doctors and can send pics etc so they can check up on you.
I saw Dr. Nektalova and was very pleased with my visit. She took the time to help me understand my problem and even followed up with me a few days later to see how the treatment is going. I dont think any doctor has ever done that in the 5 years I have been in this city. Thank you, Dr. Nektalova.
Ive been a long time patient of Spring Street Dermatologys practice on Spring Street, and was thrilled to learn theyve opened a second location on Chambers (closer to my office!).Had my annual skin check appointment last week and was beyond satisfied. Like its flagship location, this practice does not disappoint! The office is beautiful - modern, meticulously clean, and almost spa like. Its also a model of efficiency - Im always greeted promptly by reception and experience very reasonable wait times to be seen by the physicians. Most recently Ive tried the Titan Laser (trying to tighten up my slightly sagging neck!) and am loving the results. Ive definitely noticed a tightening of the area (neck/chin/jowls), it feels like Ive gotten a mini neck lift! Very nice little pick me up for a woman who just turned 40 ;)Top notch practice - highly recommended!!
I went to Spring Street for Botox a couple of weeks ago. I saw Dr. Dhingra and I was so impressed by my entire visit. The office is absolutely beautiful, not to mention impeccably clean. The receptionist was great and I was seen within 10 minutes of arrival. Dr. Dhingra was so Amazing! I barely felt a thing and my Botox looks great! He gave me just the right amount so I look completely natural! I would definitely recommend visiting this office!
Had a great experience with Dr. Kim at this office. My daughter was diagnosed with a rash at a different office but the prescribed treatment did not work. Dr. Kim took one look and immediately diagnosed the bumps as molluscum (yuck) that she must have caught at camp. She explained all the treatment options in detail and we are well on our way to getting rid of it. Thanks Dr. Kim!
Very bad dermatology, the basic level is the domestic private clinic, if you have skin problems, here is the beauty salon.Very unprofessional, skin sampling, anesthesia, doctors and assistants are not wearing mask gloves.I was inexplicably diagnosed by a Physician Assistant, which is unimaginable in China. I cant even see a doctor without a degree. There are no precautions after giving a diagnosis, and there is no suggestion on hygiene. If you have a skin disease, dont look at the physical assistant (RPA-C). If you have a chance, you can return to the country to see a doctor. Shanghai Huashan Hospital, the dermatology department of the Ninth Peoples Hospital is the best, I believe that your city also has three dermatology. In the end, the US medical system is very bad. A good doctor cant get it. The appointment is for a small doctor who graduated from an unknown university.

2022-01-11Today I saw Dr. Palep as a new patient. She was very nice. She took the time to go over treatment options for my mild psoriasis. I was happy with my visit. I felt informed and like there was a game plan in place to tackle the skin troubles. The receptionist were very kind and professional. The office was clean, almost no wait time. I would recommend Spring Street to someone in need of a Dermatologist.

2022-05-09Well, not only is this place clean and comfortable, the staff is amazing. I thought I was entering the 4 Seasons hotel as I was being greeted and was thanked for coming in early. My PA was great too. She told me what to expect and asked if I had any questions. My doctor was AWEDOME. He was knowledgeable about my condition, told me what will happen next and/or what to expect and not do.Although I believe my condition is something else, I believe he knew what he was talking about based on what he saw. So, I am not the doctor, he is.Thanks for the awesome experience Spring Street Dermatology. See you next month for follow up.

2022-05-10They have no respect for your time. I came 5 min early for my appointment and they kept me waiting for 30 min, at that point I asked how much longer I need to wait, then a woman came to my room and no apologies or anything, the first question she asked was did I arrive late, I told her I arrived early for the appointment. Then they went to check with the doctor and came back and say the doctor will be ready soon, I asked I’ve waited for 40 min already how much longer do they think it will take for the doctor to see me, just kept telling me soon. At that point I think they just don’t have any respect for my time and left. Receptions are nice and that’s everything good I have to say about this place. Will not come back.

2022-05-10I saw Dr. Sapna Palep and NP Lily Andrews for various laser treatments (IPL and Excel V) as well as a freckle/mole check. I felt so safe in the knowledge that I was being treated by true medical professionals who would only do whats best for their patients, rather than simply pushing every product and procedure for the sake of a buck. Both women are so knowledgeable and kind. Both listened patiently as I expressed my concerns/goals before applying the most personalized treatment and care. Also, as someone who has visited more than a few dermatologists in my day, I have to say they are reasonably priced (at least for NY!). 10/10 highly recommend.

2022-05-18Everyone at the new Spring Street location (which is a beautiful, modern space) is so nice - from the front desk team to the nurses to the doctors themselves. I’ve seen two doctors over the past year (Dr. Nektalova and Dr. Kihiczak), and they both took the time to listen to any concerns I’ve had at my appointments and follow up on those issues at the next appt. Both doctors offered easy-to-follow treatments plans that weren’t fussy (essential when skincare can get so pricey and the market is diluted with new products all the time!). Dr. Kihiczak has an especially great bedside manner and explains things in an understandable way.
