They accused me of not paying my subscription. I provided all proof of payment and it still has not been resolved. Of course, they shut down my account in the meantime without any proof on their end.

The customer service is unacceptable. Emailing back and forth for over a week to try to sort out my subscription and there’s always a problem. I have a Subscription to Science through AAAS, which isn’t even a publishing company, and I’ve never had an issue.

Advice: go to biorxiv and twitter and discuss with scientists directly. .Boycot Springer and Elsevier as much you can.
