Okay lets get the bad out of the way first. This property is desperately in need of a remodel, and according to the staff they have one coming and a year or so. Though the rooms for the most part where clean, the sofas are well past their life cycle, and thats being nice. I ultimately ended up covering it with blankets in order to use it. This may be a deal-breaker for some. At this price point you would be hard-pressed to find the same space and ability to sleep as many people. The pool was on the smaller side but perfect for my young guy to get a decent swim in. What this property has going for it is its staff. They were very accommodating and receptive to my concerns. I was given a choice of available rooms and they made every attempt to rectify. The breakfast options were also sufficient. Overall, I think three stars is fair, though with a remodel that number will certainly go up.
Im in Albany for my brothers wedding, I stayed here for 2 nights. The front desk staff was very nice, Khan and the lady working the morning shift. The rooms style was a little bit older but clean and the size was good. We where missing blankets and sheets for the sofa but Khan brought them up to us. The breakfast was good I enjoyed the selection, better then some other Marriotts Ive stayed at. All in all a decent experience, friendliness of the staff as well as the location make it a 5/5 experience for me. Will definitely be staying here again if Im in Albany.
The hotel was nice. Spacious room like a studio apartment almost. Had a couch and desk area. Love that the toilet and shower are in separate locations. My only issue is that the wifi didn’t work in the room and the computer and printer in the business center wasn’t working. Need those for business travel. Overall stay was good.
What was good would be a shorter write up. The room was not cleaned to the Marriot standard. There was a horse fly in my room. I also found a bug that I did not recognize in my bed. Here is the worst part: the fire alarm went off at 3:30am. All of the guests gathered in the lobby. Hotel management never said anything to inform the guests about what what was happening. The hotel manager did not have the key to the alarm panel which frustrated the firemen. It took two hours to locate the alarm panel key and the alarm finally went off at 5:21am. We endured the ringing sound for two hours. I had a major headache and I lost two hours of sleep. Thankfully I only booked for one night because this was a horrible experience!!!!1/20/21 - 1/21/21
This was the worst Marriott I have ever stayed in, unfortunately. I got in late, in the rain, with a lot of packages and asked for a luggage cart, the gentleman working the front desk (who wasnt wearing a name tag) replied with we have one, but I dont know where it is- no offer to assist in any way. Our room was outdated, there were nasty crusty stains on the couch, the AC didnt work very efficiently, the bathroom was mildew-y and dirty with hairs on the floor and peeling wallpaper, and the bed was very uncomfortable. The woman at check-out was very kind, but thats about it. I definitely wont be staying here next time Im in town, I was disappointed.
If you’re planning on staying here, i hope you brought cleaning supplies. Upon walking in, not only was the room obviously not cleaned but there was clear signs of someone staying there before us. Crumbs on every surface, hair on the floor and fingerprints on everything that was glass. Even with looking over those things, the grate on the air conditioner was missing leaving it an open fire hazard and the lights and phones didn’t work. In my whole life i have never seen such a poorly cleaned hotel room. We addressed these problems with the front desk woman hoping she would offer us a new room, and her response was that she couldn’t do anything about it and this was the only room she had!! After taking it upon ourselves to clean the room, we found that there was not only crumbs and hairs, but literally grime on everything. If i could rate this hotel 0 stars, i would. My advice is save your money, you’d be better off sleeping in your car.
My stay was very pleasant. Bathroom was clean and bright and that is a must for me. The bed was comfortable and really white sheets. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great house cleaning staff. Easy parking. Great location to where we needed to be. Nearby gas stations. Overall great stay.
Staff are helpful/nice and parking is convenient and plentiful. Convenient location. Otherwise disappointing: breakfast selection poor (no fresh fruit, yogurt, waffles/pancakes, pool closed, not a single drawer in room for clothing. No wipes in breakfast area to prevent Covid. Probably won’t return.
Upon arrival - No one was at the front desk to check me in. I had to wait 15 minutes before anyone. The staff member at the front desk was friendly. The room was great for the price, but my room wasn’t the cleanest. Hair on floor, tub, etc. When I woke up the next day, there were ants all over the bathroom floor and tub.
Clean hotel, but the rooms are extremely outdated - 1970s-style, with clearly minimal updates. The bed is also not comfortable. For the steep price of $169/night, I expected much better. And unfortunately, the receptionist was very rude to us, which further soured our overnight stay. The experience has certainly not made me eager to stay at a Marriott in the future.
All the lamps were broken, bathroom light broken, pool not in-service, and fridge broken. The absolute worst experience ever at a Marriott. $150 of food gone bad due to broken fridge and manager gave 10% discount.. didnt even bother to argue because just wanted to get out of there. Worked at Marriott before and I could not be more disappointed. The only good thing was the service of the front desk staff. Otherwise, out dated, dirty, broken property.
The rooms were dirty, dusty and hair on the beds. Toilet in the bathroom was disgusting. This hotel is not indicative of the Marriot brand. Our rooms were switched and we encountered the same problem upon entering the second set of rooms. Very disappointed and we only stayed one night.
I would like to take the time to thank Travis! He was an absolute gentleman and went above and beyond during my visit. The facility was clean and what little staff I met were friendly! I love people in customer service, many of my clients have customer service backgrounds. Travis excelled at handling adverse situations including being understaffed with tired travelers after 8 pm with ease. Whatever you’re paying him isn’t enough 🤙🏻.
We have been staying here for many years (except 2020) . A direct route to Saratoga. Even though no restaurant on site, a nice free breakfast and many places within a few miles. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and even though you can tell building is old, it seems like they make an effort to renovate the rooms. Part of a family tradition when going to Saratoga.
Make sure you check if sofa bedding is in room when you check-in. Coming back after a evening of long travel and celebration it was a bit disappointing to find no sofa bed linens. Had to go to front desk twice and finally handed the needed linens and not in a packaged unit. Cumbersome to carry back to room. This was definitely a outlier for Springhill as Ive stayed at many and will continue.
I’m sure when this hotel is back up to full staff it will be much better. The abbreviated breakfast was a joke. No reason for it. The place was dirty. I’m assuming all this was due to staffing shortages. When it’s business as usual I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again but for now I will go elsewhere. I stayed at many hotels during the past few weeks and this was the only hotel still running at this capacity.
The location was very convenient being less than a mile from the interstate. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The lobby is clean and bright and the free breakfast was adequate with plenty of food selections. The pool is extremely small with a capacity of only 17 people. The rooms are large and comfortable but the furniture fabric seems to be worn and according to staff was a manufacturer issue. This hotel is budget friendly and perfect for a travel stopover or a business trip.
As a Marriott Reward Member I expected a cleaner room and not have my nephew sleep on a sofa bed mattress that was soiled. I felt using my bonus points provided me the worst room at the hotel. I also dont understand why I was given a handicapped room when no one in the party was handicapped.
We have been staying here for years. Hotel is beginning to look tired at least the rooms bathrooms. There were no sheets on the pull out couch which is why you would stay in a suites hotel. I usually stay at Hilton and they always give you water bottles. There was no water in the lobby except for purchasing.
I have stayed here twice and always enjoyed my stay. I find the staff extremely friendly, concerned and accommodating. John, Ryan and Carly, thank you for your friendly and professional service and the breakfast service crew were also extremely polite, accommodating and the breakfast selection and quality were excellent. Even love the idea of a small side Food Market area off the lobby, if you find you need some snacks or wine, etc. very convenient and great idea! Also enjoyed the comfortable clean beds, pillows and bedding and that bit of extra space having a desk and living room area to enjoy.Bathtub draining was a bit of a problem as well as tub faucet to shower faucet sticking and would like to see mirrors in the bathrooms so multiple people can get ready quicker. Perhaps a two light bathroom system rather than one. Also would like to see shelving in the bathroom to keep toiletries items and proper working wall hooks in there to hang clothes and towels better.Very nice to have some work out equipment in new condition and an outdoor patio area to get some fresh air in private. All in all, a comfortable, accommodating, clean and friendly place to stay at a reasonable price, good location for shopping and restaurants and I will continue to come back as a guest. Good job everyone, A+
Stayed here numerous times before and always loved it. Front desk staff always friendly and helpful and professional. Rooms are really nice. Within walking distance of several eating establishments. Free breakfast is always good but can be a bit crowded. I am sure well stay again.
The hotel seems new, well decorated and would be comfortable and quite a good value if they had any sort of reliable housekeeping. We booked one room and tried 3 different rooms looking for a clean one. Each one was filthier than the last, rooms had been smoked in, there was half eaten food on the floor, hairs in the bed and bath, dried urine on the toilet seat, dirty towels in the bathroom and if it was not so late at night we would have gone to another hotel. We finally slept in our clothes and didnt shower. We will not stay here again. This was our second try to stay here (months apart) and things have only gotten worse. I have over 100 stays at Marriott properties per year and this was by far my worst experience. The front desk staff and manager were very helpful and personable but the completely ineffective housecleaning staff actually came into the room while the DND sign was on the door in the morning, I have no idea what the rush was as they didnt seem to actually clean anything. Sorry Marriott, this was a huge fail in the midst of hundreds of awesome experiences. Your average is great and I understand some stumbles but this was beyond ridiculous. Avoid this hotel.
My best friend from college moved up to New York almost 10 years ago and we only went up for her wedding in August 2018. We decided at the last minute that we werent going to let so much time go by without visiting so we decided in a week that we were going up. She suggested to pick a hotel near Wold Rd and Springhill Suites popped up. We went for it. The price was good! When we arrived we were so happy that we picked this hotel. The receptionist that checked us in was great and he was very funny. The room was spacious enough for 2 adults and the 3 children we had. The pool was a great time for the children. And we were able to have movie night and mommy wine night in the same room without interrupting each other. Breakfast in the morning was great! Very clean and the service was good. I just loved it and will stay here each time. It will be my home away from home.
The staff at this hotel is great, especially John the evening front desk person. He is always cheerful and helpful. He Enjoys his job and it shows. The rooms are very nice and clean. the workout room could use some more equipment, ie some form of chin-up bars or weights other that dumbbells. The pool area and pool is nice but could be a little cleaner. I would also recommend drawers in rooms designed for extended stays. Breakfast food is very good and all of the staff here is friendly and professional. I will stay here many times in the future.
The regular fellas at the reception desk are very nice. They had tasty chocolate chip cookies to welcome me on my third stay for business. The room was nice and everything was clean. There was a little fridge with complimentary water, notepads, pens. I love the shampoo and conditioner (Paul Mitchell). The bed was a bit hard, but the sheets were soft enough and there were plenty of pillows. The shower is nice.I love the complimentary breakfast in the lobby. The change it up sometimes but they have everything from fresh fruit, to warm oatmeal with fixings, to scrambled eggs and a really tasty home fry with sausage crumbles, onions, and peppers bake. (I was really hungry.) There is also a Dunkin on the corner and an Asian Bistro, ice cream place and a Wendys in walking distance.
We stayed at the hotel for a family gathering, and had a good time. The rooms were comfortable, breakfast was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was smaller than expected and the water was not very warm. In the rooms, the bathroom exhaust fans did not work, so moisture took a long time to dry out, but they can hopefully fix that. Overall- good experience, fair prices, good value.
Stayed at the Springhill Suites in Albany-Colonie to attend a local charity event with friends. We chose to stay here because the good reviews, close proximity to restaurants and it is only a few minutes from the airport. The hotel is newly renovated, very clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed the amenities in the lobby (good coffee, tea, yogurt, snacks). There is a beautiful fireplace and tv to relax by. The continental breakfast was actually very good. I did not use the pool at fitness area a lot but they were visibly clean and maintained. Was an excellent stay and I would stay here again.
The service was great! The maid staff went out of their way to replenish items in the rooms and clean them. The people at the front desk did a wonderful job to make sure my stay was as pleasant and wonderful as possible. The people at the front desk even help my coworkers and I have a little Halloween party in the lobby during my stay. I always have a great experience whenever I stay and it is close by to restaurants and Colonies Center.
Upon arrival with my husband on my 86-year-old mother we found that the room had not been cleaned the bedding was in disarray somebody had use the shower the dirty towels were still there and the toilet paper had been dropped in the water the night stuff took care of that problem we went to use the cups in the little kitchenette and when we pulled the plastic out of the cups it was so sticky I couldn’t hardly get it off my hands I took those to the manager the next morning and although she comped us the room for one night she was rather Kurt and rude. Upon arriving for our second night we found at the room head again not been cleaned all the towels we had used in the beds were not made the trash was not dumped nothing was wiped down I went to the front desk and I said the room was not cleaned oh they had you checking out said they clerk I said just give me some towels the clerk gave me the towels I went back to my room we got up to her breakfast the first morning and there was nothing the breakfast area was a shambles it was a disaster there was no food there was no coffee so then we said OK we came back an hour later and still it was in the same condition the next morning there was some breakfast.
It was a great hotel. The room was beautiful and a nice size. Pillows were ok, need to have firmer pillow choice. The breakfast was great with 1 exception you need more than 1 waffle maker. It was very busy that morning and you had to wait 15 minutes to get a waffle. Considering everything we would definitely stay in your hotel again!!
Definitely within my Top 5 Stays! My stay at Springhill Suites has been one of the best experiences ever! The facilities are warm, welcoming, clean and tastefully decorated. The staff were remarkable w customer service prior to me arriving via telephone and after I arrived from check-in to check-out.The breakfast is very good and has a lot of variety for everyone. Spacious and safe parking lot and accessibility to several restaurants as well as a mall less than 2 miles away. My weekend was so full that I did not get to enjoy the pool and gym the way I wanted but I peeked in and the amenities looked fun and safe. I did utilize the business area to conduct light business and it was perfect w high speed internet, a clean surface to work from and plenty of writing utensils/ paper. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family for its value, comfort and customer service.
Bed and pillows were so comfortable I slept through breakfast. Front desk associate amazing... I dont remember his name but he was very welcoming. He called and asked if everything was up to par, and it was! Love the set up of the room how the bathroom was seperate from the shower. My only complaint was hearing the slamming of the other hotel doors. Not much you can do there but it would be the only con I had. Everything else was nice and clean. Loved that they had paper plates and silverware in the room. Loved the ice cold water and hot cocoa in the lobby! Will definitely come back.
The room was clean and cozy. Staff was pleasant and professional .Staff was knowledgeable and quick to respond to my requests. The breakfast buffet was great. Real eggs! At least I could not tell they were powdered. The hot dishes were scrambled eggs and a breakfast meat. They had a selection of fruits, bread, bagels, oatmeal ,donuts, danish, and drinks. The seating was comfortable.Despite the activity and a school sports team staying simultaneously ,it was quiet. I would certainly return for another stay.
Weve stayed here several times while my daughter is attending the University at Albany. Very comfortable and clean. Breakfast is delicious. Staff is friendly and courteous. We brought our parents this time to stay and they agreed. My mom commented on how comfortable the pillows are. Great stay and will continue to book this hotel.
The room is great. Plenty of space and the bed was very comfortable. My only issues were that the room was dirty in some areas. You can tell the room was given a quick once over and the bedding and towels were fine but there was a whole sunflower seed left on the floor, the couch had stains all over it, and the walls and bottom of the mirror were not clean. The bathfan was not working which creates a lot of moisture in the room which I suspect results in the dirty walls and mirror. I always check the room for bed bugs before I stay anywhere and this room was fine. The issues with cleanliness may be specific only to my room but it is worth mentioning. I also would prefer a better tv but that is just my preference and nothing negative about the room.
Comfortable rooms and nice layout if youre sharing a room (toilet and sink are separate from shower and sink area). The bed was a bit hard for my tastes, but everything was clean and modern feeling. Looks like there have been recent hardware upgrades and some of them were not done well. My sink had a loose faucet, and the shower was spraying water at the ceiling. Easy fix with some plumbing tape, so I let the staff know and they actually fixed the shower head my first day! I mention this because I was impressed they actually addressed the problem while I was there, unlike other hotels where they take the complaint but never actually fix it while you are there (who knows if they ever do). Well done to this hotel and its staff! Thanks! (And breakfast choices were reasonably good as well!) I will let them know about the sink faucet... didnt seem urgent and required more work than the shower to fix while I was there.
My family and I were in town for a funeral. We checked in around 630 pm to change quickly and head out. When we returned around 11 we were going to shower our 3 older kids only to notice that there was hair in the tub and it would not drain quickly. Upon further inspection of the room we noticed a broken shelf, ac unit, and food in the kitchen sink as well as dirt around toilet and bathroom sink. When we called the front desk we waited 20 mins to get a new room. We checked that room and had the same issue with the tub not draining properly and hair tub and bathroom sink. When we called again the front desk associate Jenay was extremely rude and disrespectful. I reminded her we were in town for a funeral and needed to get our kids cleaned up and in bed. We made the decision after being hung up on to go to a different hotel. When we tried to check out she refused to give us a receipt or any info stating our stay had been cancelled. Sadly this is not the first time we had issues with broken items and cleanliness in this hotel. Needless to say we will not return
Though the front desk staff did there best to tackle the issues we reported, I would not recommend this hotel for families. My travel party arrived in the late evening with 3 small children: as such, I chose to simply make the best of it and let the children sleep so as to not ruin the exciting next day we had planned. However, I was glad I had extra sheets/blankets and pillows from our car ride. Had I not needed to get small children in bed & not already prepaid (nonrefundable), I would have left and sought another business.~ Dirty kitchenette area~ Rug not vacuumed~ Bathroom cleaned, but not thoroughly~ Sofa cushions dirty~ Pool tiny & murky~ Breakfast station not able to handle the needs of guests~ Not enough staff to meet the needs of the guests
This hotel was a delight to stay at. From check-in to check-out we had a pleasant experience and the staff was very accommodating. We had a very warm welcoming upon arrival. The variety of the breakfast buffet was so grandiose and everything was so delicious. The room was very comfortable and cozy...like home away from home. I do travel semi-frequently and am always looking for a great place to stay. I think Ive found it at the SpringHill Suites. I would definitely stay at another Marriott.
Great room, very friendly and helpful staff. The bathroom is split into two rooms, one with the toilet and one with the shower, both had sinks. Very nice if multiple people are staying in the room. The pool isnt very deep, but still fun and its actually a nice temperature unlike most hotel pools. The exercise room is okay with a weight set, 2 treadmills, and an elliptical. There are a lot more options here for breakfast than at most hotels Ive been to. Its overall just a really nice place. Im enjoying my stay here
I cant say enough about the staff. From the front desk to the breakfast area staff to the custodians to housekeeping. Everyone was polite and helpful. The suite rooms were very spacious. The complimentary breakfast had more than enough choices for our family. It was a pleasure staying. The only negative was the size of the pool but its was only us four so we had enough room.
At first, we really liked the look of the spacious suite, with separate work area with desk, comfy bed, two bathrooms (one with shower and other with toilet and sink). Nice outside patio with tables with umbrellas for eating the complimentary breakfast if you dont want to eat inside in dining area. The nearby pool and exercise room had a nice feel, although we didnt have a chance to use either. There were some maintenance problems in our room, mainly with the sliding doors to the bathrooms. One was off track and wouldnt close all the way. The other was noisy. Also, one of the curtain rods was detached and laying on the window sill. We didnt report the problems until checkout since we were only staying one night so they really didnt have the opportunity to address those problems while we were there. Although it would have been nice if they had prevented the problems in the first place by performing inspections in advance. There seemed to be some design issues with the room. Why was there a nightstand on one side of the bed but not on the other?
Was greeted at the front desk by very friendly and attentive staffers. Was impressed by the look and feel of the lobby. Breakfast choices were quite extensive though I kept hoping for some bacon. I was taken aback by the lack of a dresser to put my clothes in considering I was going to be there for an extended period of time. Also housekeeping was not consistent, with my bed not being made 2 days out of 14 days, though I know they serviced the room. All in all I would stay again as the staff was extremely nice and may the stay enjoyable.
Youll get your moneys worth staying here. Reasonable rates. They honor government rates. Ample parking. Very comfortable and clean suites with nice modern decor. Free Wifi. Complimentary breakfast is surprisingly good. Close proximity to everything. Friendly and accommodating staff makes you feel welcomed. Chose this hotel based on a friends recommendation. He has frequent business trips to this area and stays at Springhill Suites quite regularly.
The staff is very welcoming and professional. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Great breakfast selection and the ladies overseeing breakfast lounge were very polite and professional. The location is great (short drive: Walmart, mall, restaurants, entertainment. Walking distance: ice cream parlor, Wendys, local stores). I just checked out today and Ive already booked a room for a few days in July when I return with my family.
I stayed here for many weeks for training. It is a hit or a miss depending on what room you get. The ones on the lower floors are more used than ones on higher floors. Sometimes toilet paper and tissues arent provided by staff. Overall its pretty good. Clean and comfortable with good TVs.
We have stayed at the Albany - Colonie (NY) Spring Hill Suites several times over recent years and have always found it a good value. The rooms - including this stay - are always clean and fresh. I like having the ability to open the screened window to allow fresh air within the room. The front desk person was very accommodating - allowing us to bring our own dinner into the dining area. He also loaned us a bottle opener. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked with healthy choices. A good overall stay - as usual. We will be back!
Our stay at Springhill was for a family wedding and we were within easy distance of the venue and other wedding guests. We were very comfortable and felt safe and relaxed after a long drive before heading off to the festivities. We really liked the room and the staff were so nice to us, we cant recommend this location enough! Near enough to the city and all the shopping youd ever need and places to eat an easy drive from the hotel.
We needed a hotel to stay the night near SUNY Albany as we were in town for a lacrosse tournament. This hotel was the perfect choice. Our room was clean and spacious. Free Breakfast the next day wasnt bad and the young lady that works the kitchen was great. She worked her tail off making sure there was plenty of bagels, rolls, muffins, eggs etc. We will definitely be back !!!
Very nice hotel. Our room was large, comfortable, and had a clean bathroom. Check in and check out was a snap. Staff were very welcoming. The desk called our room after we checked in to be sure everything was satisfactory. Will definitely stay there again when I am in Albany.
Overall I like Marriotts and this hotel was very good and conveniently located from the thruway. It was slightly less posh than a Courtyard, but still very nice and the suite was roomy and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the rooms were quiet and well maintained. The suite set up was nice with a separate sleeping and lounging area.Though I was solo on this trip, the design of the suite would be good for families spending the night while traveling. Ill probably switch from Courtyard to Springhill for my family road trips.
I arrived angry because of an issue with the website and was completely diffused by the employee who greeted and checked us in! He was so nice and accommodating and put an instant smile on my face as he did with everyone else in my family. I dont ever recall in all my years anyone ever having that much of an impact on me. The rooms were clean, beautiful and spacious. Ia a really picky person, so when I say this - you have to believe it! Best breakfast we ever had included with a room!
I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel. I travel frequently but had not stayed in a SpringHill. Very clean, very updated. Bathroom was nice surprise! Shower and sink in one room; toilet and second sink in second room. Comfortable work kiosk in room. Awesome sectional in “living room” area. Great, stacked microwave/coffee bar/refrigerator away from bed area so no noise. I would definitely stay again.
The place was very clean and well kept. But our room seemed to be misssing furniture. There was no place to put and access our luggage. There was virtually little or no counter space...no armoirs with drawers to put our clothes. Aside from the sofa...there was no chairs and only 1 night table ( which was full ..clock-radio, lamp, telephone ).This felt more like a cheap motel room than a suite. The pool was pitiful..extremely small and the walls needed a good cleaning.
This was my 3rd visit with many more to come. The staff is super friendly, hotel is very clean, breakfast is great (love the oatmeal!).My only complaint is that there is no bike in the fitness room.I also appreciate the location being close to the mall and great restaurants.
We really enjoyed our weekend staying here! I was happy with the breakfast, it’s clean, fast check in/out and polite service! It was very nice that Maya followed up if everything was ok with our stay and she was so kind and welcoming. Vicente took care of our housekeeping needs with care and a smile. Thank you!
Location was close to the mall. Room had a small fridge and microwave. Plenty of room for the four of us. The kids didnt want to share a bed so one took the pull out couch and the other took the bed. Breakfast was typical breakfast at a hotel. Nothing to write home about. Overall a comfortable stay
The free WiFi is fairly slow. You have to pay to get better service. The rooms dont have a safe in them, which Ive never seen before nor bathrobes. However, I like how the toilet and shower are in separate rooms! Very nice. The room honestly isnt really worth the $89 a night I paid. The location is kind of hidden back behind other buildings, which is sort of okay. But it was a bit difficult to get to, plus their ENTRANCE sign is overly small and hard to see. Overall its alright, but I probably wouldnt stay here again.
We have visited the Albany area frequently to spend time with our daughter and her family. This hotel is reasonably priced, provides a free hot breakfast that lets us eat essentially the same foods that we eat every day at home. The room has a standup shower that is easier for us older folks to use. I also believe that most people over the age of 8 years old prefer showers to bathing in a tub. The living area is much like a comfortable den and the mini-fridge and microwave oven permit the consumption of fast food, snacks and soft drinks.Overall, the Hotel chain feels like a home away from home!
I usually stay at a different hotel, but decided to try SpringHill Suites. What a great idea! The staff were friendly and helpful. The room is set up for both business and pleasure travelers, with a microwave, refrigerator, and even plates and silverware. The rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. SpringHIll Suites is my new go-to hotel when traveling.
The bedding was very comfortable, room looked newly renovated with a modern feel. Toilet and shower were in separate wash rooms, which made three person washing in parallel possible. The sofa bed fitted two big kids well. Hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausages, oatmeal was tasty. It said kitchen available in the room info on web, however no stove, pot and utensils, not easy to cook.
The hotel was nice and clean. The rooms are well designed for a family or a business traveler. The room was clean. Our only issue was a very slow bath tub drain. Very annoying but not enough to change our opinion of the hotel. The hotel was a very good value for the price. Breakfast was excellent.
The front desk staff was very nice, but the room was filthy. After an hour in the room our feet were black. There was an old contact lens and some dirt on the night stand. The couch had several mysterious stains. The pool was cold and cloudy. Breakfast buffet food was not too bad but the staff was rude.
Stayed here twice in July—once on the way in and once on the way out. Each time the front desk staff (Mike) was extremely friendly and helpful. I like a quiet room and we got that both times. Very happy with this place and it was a great value for the points we spent to stay. Will definitely come here again if we return to the area.
We stayed at this hotel with our cheer leading team for a competition. The front desk staff were very nice. When we made our reservation we werent able to get our rooms booked together/near each other, but the staff asked what floor we would like to be on and we asked to be with teammates. We listed off a bunch of the last names and then he got us on the floor with about 90% of our team.We stayed in a King mini suite. it was not mini at all. The room was well laid out, very clean, modern and comfortable. The entire hotel was pretty clean. The hotel is located near a Mall and several dining places.Friends told us that the pool was gross, but the hotel got it drained and clean again by the next day. Very proactive.Breakfast was delicious. I would say above average for you typically complimentary breakfast.I would definitely stay here again.
The breakfast staff was very pleasant, courteous, clean and gave their service with excellence. Barbara was very nice to all the guests who dined and was very helpful. She and the rest of the team showed teamwork and professionalism. Unfortunately, can not say the same with the front desk staff. The night audit agent who checked us in did not look well kept and could not wait to get us out of his sight and into our room. Did not acknowledge that we were an Elite member at all.
Our stay at the SpringHill Suites in Albany-Colonie was great. Location was perfect. Check in was easy, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was neat and clean, had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable, room quiet. We used the fitness room it was also clean and well kept. Breakfast was you traditional hotel breakfast, food good, attendants were friendly and helpful. Check out was a breeze. Would recommend this hotel to others traveling in that area.
Hotel is conveniently located near major expressways and shopping centers. Staff was very cordial, helpful and attended to any request quite promptly. Amenities are limited with gym facility and pool being small. Overall a good place to stay if one is not expecting elaborate furnishings and amenities. You get what you pay for.
Ive stayed at this property before and had an equally enjoyable experience. Very nice staff, very well-appointed and comfortable room. Good rate. There was a large contingent of high school baseball players in town for a tournament, and I thought I was in for a loud night because you could hear them out in the hall, but I never heard a sound inside the room.
Booked through priceline. Room was nice, location was good. However, they charged me for the room again instead of just incidentals. This is becoming a recurring theme with some hotels. This is the second time its happened at this location. They refunded but I shouldnt have to comb statements and call hotels to get refunded unauthorized charges every time I get home from a trip.
I was concerned about staying at this location due to the traffic and hectic business environment. To our surprise our room accomodations could not have been nicer. Room was clean, quiet, organized for work projects with all the conveniences of being at home. Because of this stay I wouldnt hesitate to stay here or at any Springhill Suites in the future. The staff exemplified the very best Marriott has to offer. We thanked them for making our stay memorable.
Recently stayed at this hotel as a stopover from Boston to Ontario.Right from when we walked in to check in we were greeted with a smile and welcomed to the hotel. We were attended to right away with a smile and we received the best customer service from the gentleman behind the desk. When you check in you get a lollipop which you cant help but smile at this little touch.Staff was more then helpful with directions and recommendations of where to eat in town.We booked a King Suite and I have stayed in a lot of hotels but this room was just amazing. From the little touches in the bathroom and bedrooms, to the cleanliness and attention to the room we felt right at home. We had 3 adults in this room, and the 2nd sitting area separate from the bedroom allowed everyone to be comfortable in the more than spacious room. There is a small pool which was great to relax in, as well a full workout room.Included was a great continental breakfast to start your morning off rightOverall, I would defiantly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Albany !
This is pretty much the only hotel we have stayed at during the many visits we made to see our son during his four years as a student and basketball player at UAlbany. We were always warmly greeted by the front desk, given a clean and comfortable room, and offered a pretty good breakfast that has consistently improved over the past four years. This hotel is an excellent value, comfortable, modern, clean and friendly. Oh, and Kurvers ice cream stand is steps away! If you have to be in this area, stay here! You wont be sorry!
Happy to stay here, huge upgrade from comfort inn where I stayed the week before. The rooms are clean and spacious, the staff is friendly and its in a super convenient location. I wish the breakfast was a little better quality, although they have a large selection of breakfast items.
This hotel was only a 15 minute ride to the Albany College of Pharmacy. The hotel was very clean, the beds in the room were very comfortable and the hotel staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The hotel offers a free breakfast buffet which had bagels, waffles, eggs, and lots of other choices. Our room was very spacious and had two queen size beds and a pull out couch. I would definitely stay at this hotel again as it was close and convenient to everything.
The hotel was in a great location. Theres a mall and plenty of resturants located within 5 Mile radius. The room was very comfy and cozy. The only thing I would recommend needs improving would be to find a way to make the room quieter. The people that were staying in the next room were in and out of their room all night and we heard every time the door open and closed. That was very irritating. Other than that was a great stay.
Great location, average rooms for a Marriot. If this location is anywhere near capacity, expect little to no hot water and/or water pressure if you shower during peak times. The card reader for several exterior doors were broken. The staff is friendly but the lack of a sufficient infrastructure/maintenance significantly lowers the overall rating.
Since weve retired, this is our go to place when we come to Albany to visit relatives and friends. It is centrally located and provide ease of access to major highways and public transportation. The staff is always friendly and tries to help where and when ever possible. Breakfast is standard fare (waffles, cereal, hot oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausage or ham, etc). It is showing a little age though and the pool is very small but exercise room has up to date equipment and access to high speed internet is available and free to Gold and Platinum members. As an extra benefit it has a Dunkin Donuts next store :) ... (although its a little pricer than others i the area)
Stayed for a soccer tournament. Pros: spacious rooms, clean, new. Hotel is walking distance from a Dunkin Donuts and a fantastic little ice cream stand. Complimentary breakfast was great and included hot food-eggs, sausages, biscuits and waffles. Nice patio area outside the indoor pool. Cons: pool was REALLY small and in a very tight, small space.

We stayed with a group 9 ladies wedding shopping. Convenient location - room sizes were great / beds comfortable. The lobby dining area was a great place for us to gather share a glass a wine or 2. We ordered in dinner and had a great time. The staff was friendly and offered us anything we needed.
From the moment you walk into the lobby, you will be greeted by the most friendly staff. They make you feel so welcomed. would recommend this hotel to any of my family, friends or someone just asking for a good place to stay in Albany. The cleanliness and comfort of the rooms at SpringHill Suites are better than any of the other places Ive stayed in that area. Whenever I visit Albany, I will book my room at SpringHill Suites for sure. Thank you for a very pleasant Thanksgiving visit.
The staff was very friendly but the upkeep seems to be on a rapid decline. My previous stay before this one, I thought things weren’t up to par but now I’m certain. If I needed a quick stay with the kids, I may stay again but I’d rather pay the extra $20-30 for a newer hotel. BEWARE: says Queen beds but they are DOUBLES, $25 charge not disclosed and released 2 days after checkout
This is a great hotel for visits to Albany. The staff and accommodations are very nice. The location is great for grabbing a bite and access to shopping, highways and the airport. My only negative comment is the cleanliness of the bathroom countertop. It was filmy and sticky. This is not typical for the location.
Overall it is not a bad hotel. Staff seems to be friendly. Bathrooms are severely outdated but still functioning. Breakfast is usual Marriott fare, juice machine was not working for a couple days at least. We had a problem with room maintenance – no service for one out of two days. Spoke to the front desk and emailed to the management - no response.
Great and comfy hotel room. Very clean. Friendly and accomodating staff. Only thing is there were what looked like bleach stains all over the couch, so while it would be nice to have, I wasnt going to sit on it..If work sends me back to the area, I would stay again overall.
We have stayed at SpringHill Suites Albany-Colonie at least 6-7 times. The hotel is located close to access to the thruway, is approximately 5 minutes away from the Colonie Mall and there is a gas station next to the hotel. The rooms are large, have an easy-to-use digital thermostat on the wall near the door and the beds are comfy to the degree of not wanting to get up in the morning. I typically sleep better at this hotel than I do at home. A feature of these guest rooms is a split bathroom- there is a toilet and sink in one small room, and a shower and sink in a room next to it. Initially this seemed quite odd, but the design adds convenience when multiple people are trying to get ready at the same time. Service here is great- check-in and check-out are quick, as was the service in bringing toilet paper to the room when we ran out in the middle of the night. John has checked us in the last few times weve stayed, and even when we are exhausted from traveling he is so friendly that he always puts a smile on our faces. The hotel lobby and breakfast area are currently under construction so breakfast is in a room a few feet down the hall, and the kitchen staff were very helpful in making sure people could find what they were looking for. Overall, a pleasant stay.
We stayed at the Marriot Springhill Suites for the weekend and were thrilled with the entire experience. From the location to the friendliness of the front desk clerk to the spotless/well designed/comfortable room to the delicious breakfast/helpful staff- we were so satisfied. The value was exceptional as well. Comfortably fit my family of 4 while attending a Union College graduation ceremony.
Enjoyed are stay, bed was comfortable , breakfast was great , pool was relaxing.staff was great.Disappointed there was no hot tub though, Hallway to room needed cleaning attention papers and dirt on rug from elevator to room Fresh Stain on room carpet . . A little noisy near main drag . But over all would stay again good value for the price . DBJ
I have stayed at the SpringHill Suites Albany-Colonie several times and it has always been pleasant. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Cleanliness is my priority and I have never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly and courteous. The complimentary breakfast offers many choices and is always good!
I have been trying to remember if I had stayed at another springhill suites for comparison but cant remember. In any event, this place is perfectly average. They call the rooms suites because they are a little larger and have a sleeper sofa from the 1970s to the side. Woohoo. The pool is small and right by the lobby which causes the lobby to be humid which is less than desirable in the heat of summer. While this is a Marriott brand, it is definitely not one of their higher-end ones. I dont actually remember why I picked it. Ill have to chalk that up to it seeming like a good idea at the time. Now, not so much. If there were anything to do on a Monday in Albany, I might not be as aware of the hotel and its failings. But it seems all of the museums and such take Mondays off. So we spent a lot of extra time in the hotel and its abundance of mustardy yellow colorings. They try to make the bathroom fancy by separating the toilet and tub into separate rooms. The idea is nice but the execution is a little underwhelming. The big sliding door with the frosted glass seems like it would be really awkward if traveling with anyone other than a romantic interest as you can see a silhouette of their movements. With a spouse or SO, not such a bad thing. With your business partner Harry, it is less than desirable. And I just realized, this is even worse if travelling with children. Not going to go there but would not recommend for family travel with older children for this reason alone. It is the type of thing you wont realize is an issue until it happens. The tv is very small for the room and is positioned in a way to make it pretty hard to watch no matter where you are. Kudos to them for not showing favoritism. The ihome clock radio with the iphone 3 interface is an extra nice touch. They sure know how to pick the winners. This, along with the wonderful view of the rear parking lot through the window with olive green curtains on either side really rounds out the level of thought that went into the place. So, in summary, it is a basic hotel room with a little extra space that is probably good enough if just passing through alone or a couple with low expectations.
Great Hotel and Excellent Value for Money with Warm Friendly Staff !Trendy up to date property, rooms are well kept and well designed. Great for leisure and business alike.Good dining options within easy walking distance especially enjoyed the Indian joint, Bombay Bar.
We stay here as a family when we are in the Albany area for athletic functions. The hotel is clean, breakfast is good, the staff is attentive to your needs and questions. The pool is small but is enough to make my 8 year old happy. The work out area is sufficent enough to get your workout in.
We stayed at the SpringHill in Albany-Colonie for one night with our daughter on a college visit enroute to New England. The updated rooms were stylish and comfortable. Our daughter slept comfortably on a fold out sofa. The staff at the check in desk as well as the breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. We would definitely stay at this location again.
I have stayed at this hotel two times now and it is a really great hotel with excellent service. There were some issues with the internet that, even after an upgrade attempt, was unresolved. The pool area is rather small and the breakfast could have been a bit better but overall this hotel is definetely our Albany stay spot for the future. Would recommend to other people and stay again in the future.
Stayed 2 Days with day trips to view fall foliage. Hotel was conviently located to airport, major hiways and numerous dining options. Room was clean and spacious had everything we needed check in and check out was fast. Felt like a safe location. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast selection was good. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Excellent room; spotlessly clean, smartly designed desk area for doing work. Easy to use internet. Fridge, microwave in room with coffee maker. Complimentary breakfast: standard fare of scrambled eggs, cereals, good quality breads/bagels, and a waffle maker. Flavored tea choices are a nice touch.
Hotel, was ok, breakfast was being cleaned up before the end of the designated time, I had to ask for cereal for my daughter. The bathrooms were not cleaned well. The doors of the bathrooms were not dusted. An easy thing to clean and floor was not cleaned well too. Just seeing those two things just makes you think what else is not being cleaned? I am a 48 year old mother, but could not change age on review.
Hotel is comfortable, stylish friendly, clean and well maintained. Never any surprises. Its my go to in the Albany area. The only reason I checked good instead of Excellent for dining is that the hotel serves only breakfast. But the breakfast is very good, with a good choice of items and excellent coffee.
My family and I were visiting the SUNY Albany campus for orientation. The property was conveniently situated just down the road. The staff was amazing and very helpful. The property was immaculately well maintained and clean. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Many thanks to a wonderful staff for making our stay so comfortable.
I chose SpringHill Suites for its indoor pool and inclusive full breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised by the brand new decor and very comfortable suites. My family of four enjoyed it very much for the three days and two nights we were there. The Colonie Center shopping mall has everything, including a movie theater within walking distance. Although we couldnt get the Wi-Fi speed to work properly, the cable channels had quite a few kids channels that kept them occupied.
I am a very frequent business traveler. I stayed here with my family during a pleasure trip. The hotel is in a great location, very close to all the shopping and restaurants on Wolf Road, and near the highway, but tucked away and quiet. This hotel was very recently renovated, and is exceptionally clean and well-maintained.The staff - particularly the breakfast attendants - were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. For a very economical hotel, this is a real winner!
I had business in the Albany area during a snow storm. My meeting on the first day was cancelled, so I had to work from my room. Between the roomy desk and fast internet, I was able to get all of my work accomplished. After that I went for a nice jog. The fitness center was clean and had plenty of towels. The only down side was that the pool was out of service. The breakfast was the best complimentary breakfast that Ive had at a hotel in a long time.
The hotel and faciltities were very good but we had a problem with several guests at 2:30am playing loud music and cursing and screaming down the hallways. We had young children with us and two other friends rooms that were also affected. We called the front desk to get security to intervene but we did not get a response. The guest finally fell asleep 35 minutes later after apparently passing out. Would of have been more appropriate to have a section for kids rooms that are more quiet
The couch was disgusting and scratched up, the light was broken, the tv kept blacking out, the remote barely worked, the staff was rude and not accommodating, had to beg for extra towels and blankets for a room booked for 5 people while they only provided for 2 people, and the carpet was disgusting. By far the nastiest place I’ve ever stayed in and they should be ashamed of themselves. Cynthia, in particular was very unprofessional and rude over the phone. Really disgusting and street like attitude. They charged me for damages that already existed in the room. Don’t waste your money there. It’s trash.
We stay in many Marriott hotels when we travel. We can always depend on them to be clean and comfortable. The staff here was pleasant. They were helpful with giving us dining options. We have been disappointed with Marriott teaming up with Starbucks. In the past it was nice to be able to go to the lobby to get a nice hot fresh cup of coffee for free in the morning. For some reason it bothers us that you now have to pay for coffee at Marriotts.
The property is well located and offers plenty of value. The staff is eager to satisfy their guests. There were many choices on the complimentary breakfast. My top floor suite was comfortable and quiet. The location is convenient to the Northway, Wolf Road, and Colonie Center. It a short drive from the University and the nano-technology research center. It is 15 minutes from downtown and one half hour from Saratoga Springs.
Excellent location, the hotel was only 10 minutes to our friends house, plenty of shopping and restaurants and a very nice park is nearby for the kids with a huge playground. Great price and the best breakfast ever, I usually dont take the time to answer reviews but this place was so good I had to take the time to give it the high praise that it deserves, all of the staff were the best they could be, there is even a small indoor pool that the kids enjoyed and did I mention the breakfast, oh yes, it was the best of any comparable hotel and yes we will stay here again, Thanks for making our stay a very memorable one.
Service was great. There was free WiFi and free breakfast in the morning which surprisingly had a large variety compared to most hotels. The only issue was one food item wasnt labeled well and included sausage which I dont eat and found out afterwards. Asides from that the place is very clean and nice, though the rooms and facilities were smaller than most hotels.
This is probably the fifth time that I have stayed at this hotel. I love the location and it has everything I need. My one complaint this stay was that the air conditioner worked but it was super loud. Seemed like something was loose. It woke me up every time it came on. Other than that everything was fine. I will definitely go back.
Front Desk staff is horrible, rude and unprofessional. It is sad since the room itself was amazing. Clean, very roomy accommodations and a great breakfast. Customer service is everything and they failed horribly. The front desk agents looked like they didnt want to be there and were far from friendly or helpful. I would never stay here again, I have stayed at other places nearby in the past with amazing customer service and clean rooms.
Beautifully designed rooms, very clean & comfortable, close to dining and shopping...what more could you ask for?Oh, yes: it was also within 5 minutes from Albany Airport! This was a 1-night stopover on my way to Cooperstown but it was exactly what I needed after a hectic day & long flight. I will definitely stay here again when I am in the vicinity.
We booked this hotel after paying for two nights at the Lions hotel in Albany. We had a horrific time the first night there and needed up paying for our last night in Albany here and we were so glad we did. Clean and new looking room. The staff was friendly and the breakfast had good choices.
I love Marriott and I rarely have a bad experience. This morning I went to pick up my elderly relatives. My uncle was waiting in lobby but my aunt was still in the room. My uncle could not remember the room number. The general manager Carrie Friello was NO help. Although she could tell me that the room he gave me was not his room and although he was with me and she recognized him she would not give us the room number. I ended up walking my uncle down the hall until he remembered where he was staying. When I told the manager that she could have assisted she claimed she would have called the room. Long story short we had an exchange of unpleasant words. I was told that this hotel was the “ghetto” site now I see why. If you are over 55 STAY CLEAR!!!
The sofa was not clean, it had crumbs on it and stains that front desk dismissed as cleaning agent. Why would anyone want to sit on cleaning solution? The sofa cushion was torn. No manager on site in the evening, nor was there one available in the morning. Front desk staff either have limited ability to assist, other thank call housekeeping who cant get the cleaning agent off of the sofa. This seemed to be a known problem to the front desk staff.
The bed had Punic hairs on the sheets. Asked to change rooms and there was a dirty coffee mug with crumbs all over the couch. For the price they charge for the room, the state of the room was aweful. In addition, the rooms and lobby have a disgusting odor. Very disappointing and would never go back
Had to be in Albany for training and found this place on line. It was great. Had one minor problem with the toilet that was fixed promptly with one phone call to the front desk. The only dining available was a buffet breakfast, hence the Fair rating. But it was close to everything so dining outside the hotel was not an issue. Just make sure you Map it before you go because there are no obvious signs on the street to point out where it is. Could be easy to drive right by since the property is set back off the street.
The hotel was slightly difficult to access. The outside appearance was very nice. I was disappointed with the uncomfortable beds and the.bathroom lighting. Its time for this hotel to upgrade and replace the hard worn out beds . Disappointed in this hotel for it to be in the Marriott family. I would not stay there again if I have to travel back to the area .
I highly recommend Marriott wether a long stay or short stay. The Resident inns are extremely spacious and equipped with everything you need to feel sort of st home. But still in a hotel suite. I like the accommodations and amenities Marriott provides. The Continental Breakfast are an added bonus!
This is one Marriott property you must consider when stopping in the Albany area. Easy access; good parking and quality for money spent. Great staff; eager to please. I definitely will recommend this hotel to fellow business colleagues and stay again whenever I am in the Albany area.
Marriott continues to bring consistently excellent service. However for this stay Im going to be a little picky and note a couple things. The TV in my friends room did not work with various HDMI inputs, as in, his Nintendo Switch didnt work on his hotels rooms tv. Also, there was no hot tub in the pool room. On a third note, the iPod dock in the room is outdated. These are very small things, and they arent necessities, but I figured Id mention them. This hotel had it where it counted. The rooms smelled great and looked great overall.
Frequent business traveler staying almost exclusively at marriott properties, but this is a leisure trip. Perfectly adequate hotel. The few staff members that I interacted with deserve 5 stars. Room was dated and needed refreshing. Breakfast was okay - what should be expected for a Springhill Suites. Common areas were good, except other guests left them a mess (probably why I am giving this a 3 star rating in lieu of 4 stars).
This hotel has a very modern, welcoming appearance, but ultimately was a major let down. This came primarily because of the party that was permitted to persist in the lobby/breakfast area from the evening into the late night hours. My wife, young son and I were in and out throughout the evening as we were visiting extended family in the area and had to walk through a party better suited for a fraternity house. The kicker came when I had to walk through a cloud of marijuana smoke to get into the side entrance of the hotel, and then was hit by another, more pungent wall of the obnoxious odor when entering the elevator. I refused to get in that elevator and notified the desk clerk. He apologized but said that there was nothing he could do without the security guard (the fact that they had to rent a security guard that evening should have flagged to the staff that perhaps allowing a party in the lobby was not the best idea). The next day, upon check out, I mentioned my concern to another desk staff who apologized but said that he couldnt give me any compensation because I booked my room through expedia. It shouldnt matter how a hotel guest paid, but that they gave money for a comfortable stay.I complained to the Marriott itself, but only got a form letter saying that theyll contact me with results of their action. It took a few weeks and I did receive an apology and a reversal of charges for my trouble. However, the experience still left me unhappy. There are plenty of hotels in Albany so please choose another if you are staying in the Capital Region. I know I will.
Ive been staying at Marriott hotels around the SUNY Albany area for the past 5 years. Needless to say this hotel was so unprofessional and filthy. Ive never seen anything like it. The staff obviously didnt even want to be there. One staff member rolled there eyes at a sweet senior citizen who accidentally checked out of the wrong room. Really! I will NEVER stay there again or recommend to anyone.

2021-12-29The hotel was quite nice and the employees were very friendly. Found it strange that the manager was sleeping on sheets in the lobby in the middle of the night instead of in the back, out of view of the guests, but okay. They were doing some fire alarm testing during the day with no warning, which was extremely loud (alarms were in the rooms). They refunded us $40 for the nuisance, which was nice. But…I discovered that when they took my card for incidentals at check-in, they accidentally swiped it and charged me twice for the room, even though I paid online. After about 6 phone calls over the course of a few weeks, I finally got refunded mostly. They said the system wouldn’t let them finish refunding $14 because they had given us $40 for the alarm inconvenience and they couldn’t be net negative. So…would I stay there again? Probably not. But it’s a nice hotel and a safe bet if you remind them not to charge your card when you give it to them for incidentals.

2022-02-13Great hotel! The beds and pillows are so comfortable! The staff was nice and friendly. They also have security, for those who party in the hall (noise). We had a great experience there and definitely recommend!

2021-12-19Extremely nice people. They made chocolate chip cookies and have the guests take them as complementary, for free. Gave us a free water and tried to refuse our tip. Even the kitchen people and maids are incredibly kind. The kitchen people were very accommodating and the maids offered us extra hair stuff and writing stuff. While we were waiting to get picked up, the front desk person brought us waters. Very kind people and accommodating people, i 100% recommend this hotel.

2022-02-12N8cely done hotel. Beds are lacking comfort. Shower in our 3rd floor room never really got hot. Coffee machine in room makes horrible coffee. Probably more the coffee pack than anything. Breakfast buffet was very good.

2022-02-27Positive: Hotel staff was very friendly. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. Negative: The pool is very small which is not a problem for me, I don¿t swim, but my kids are bigger now and appreciate more space. No hot tub.

2022-07-07One of our worst decisions ever to stay here , firstly room had terrible red stains , ok which we ignored as there was a note talking about mgmt change and all. No coffee , rare times vet rate times only decaf was available. No breakfast available and even the juices looked watered down. Will never stay here again

2022-04-01Claudia was extremely RUDE! My partner and I showed up at 10pm to check into the hotel after booking through Priceline. Claudia said that she was waiting to hear from Priceline even though we where showing her confirmation and our reservation was in their system. Claudia said it would be 16 minutes. 20 minutes later she said she was just trying to contact them now. I asked her why she couldn’t just check us in with the confirmation email. Claudia began to yell at us across the lobby and wave her hands in the air arguing with us. As we approached the desk she continued to yell and talk over us and huff and puff with anger. As she yelled at us we stood there watching her in shock. Priceline called to give her the confirmation and she told them she would not be accepting us and to cancel our reservation. It was now 10:30 and pouring rain outside. Luckily we found another room else where.

2022-06-30Albany area SpringHill Suites was OK. I expected more. Bagged sausage biscuit and other packaged breakfast items. No sheets for trundle bed. Ive been spoiled by other Marriott SpringHill properties.

2022-05-22Out of all the hotels I’m disappointed staying at the Spring Hill suites in Albany New York on 8 California road we’ve had to change rooms 3 times due to broken air conditioners lack of cleanliness noisey & jumping guest above us late at night and into the morning. Plus no compensation from the front desk receptionist. I won’t be staying at this hotel I had to give it a five star rating I wouldn’t it would only be A ZERO star.
