Positive: The hotel and staff were great. Negative: I had a problem with a guest on the foyrth floor playing loud music until 3:30am from Friday Feb.25 to Feb.26 Staff person took care of the problem.Sunday morning Feb.27 the guest played one song very loud again, it woke me up at 8:00am.
Positive: Hallways were wide. STAFF FRIENDLY & HELPFUL. Negative: It was a typical 3 star Hotel. Was disappointed with breakfast, not a fan of grab & go. Hotels did that in beginning of Covid, its 2 years later ...Noone is still handing out pantry bags! So besides that & gym closes too early...It was Aight. Averag
This was my first stay at this location and I could not be happier with my choice. The staff was wonderful, attentive and helpful for my 16 day stay. The room was clean, comfortable and a great home base for my visit. I will be back several times over the next few months for business and leisure and I will always be back to this wonderful location.
The hotel looked nice and when I first entered the room it looked good, but it had only 2 towels, 2 hand towels and TV was not in front of the bed. I did not like the room set up. My toilet didnt flush and I was too tired to get someone to fix it, so I open the tank cover and lift the lever to flush. Toilet and shower was not together. Not my choice of hotel.
Low rating largely because of pandemic. My brother recommended Springhill Suites because of good breakfasts. Our reservation promised Fresh, hot & healthy options to start your day. Well the coffee was hot. It was not at all clear that maid service must be requested. After four nights the maid came. The staff was helpful, friendly, courteous and kind. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. Wifi was easy to use. There was no bed table on my wifes side. There was only one chair, although a big couch provided seating. Only one tiny wastebasket seemed inadequate with maid service only every other day. (assuming one knew to ask for it.) Seems like there ought to be towel racks. The light for the bathroom sink was hidden behind the mirror so our faces were in the dark. My wifes summary was that the room was not designed for couples.
Very friendly front desk they were accommodating and resourceful. Was overall very happy with the stay. The room was slightly disappointing at check in however most are expected when staying at a paid residence ( fake eyelash strips on the floor from previous occupant, black stain on pillow case from previous, wet smear on desk arm) overall very happy with the experience and would recommend. We were just hoping for the amount paid, the upkeep would have been slightly more taken care of. We also did have to outsource for snacks and beverages as the lobby prices were not comparable and very inflated.
Staff members are all professional and friendly. Housekeeping staff were inconsistent with how well room was cleaned and never left enough washcloths or hand towels. Called and asked that mold and mildew be cleaned in tub. Never done. Twice vacuuming was not done.It took at least 10 minutes of running the water before it was hot. Overall, our experience there was very good.
This was by far the worst experience my new husband & I have ever had at any hotel in all our years. The property is run down, the rooms are small, poorly lit, & most refrigerators are not running. TVs in the rooms also were not working. Many rooms smelled of smoke, & the halls were covered in garbage 24-7. The rooms clearly are not cleaned prior to guests check-in, as there was toothpaste all over our bathroom and various bugs & spider webs in corners of the room. My husband and I spent 4 nights here for our wedding, as this is the closest hotel to where we were getting married, and we had booked a hotel block well before covid, that we had to move twice. Each time they had less and less rooms available, which is understandable, we were the ones forced to move our wedding twice, we cannot expect the hotel to accommodate that. However, they incorrectly wrote up our contract the third time, forcing many of our guests to be without a room as they removed our block earlier than the contract said. In addition to this, for the guests that were staying at the hotel for the wedding, we wanted to ensure each guest got a hotel gift bag we had put together. We confirmed with the front desk several times, & they showed us the block of rooms and where our guests were all staying, only to then put them all on different floors and not provide the bags. They claimed our guests checked in late or early, which was 100% incorrect, and therefore caused significant chaos for the entire weekend. Half our guests were on all different floors, all because the staff was completely unorganized. There were no amenities and no accommodations made for guests who were forced to stay in run down rooms. One guest had medication that needed to be refrigerated, of course, the mini-fridge did not work. The staff asked them to give the medicine to the front desk to hold - completely unacceptable and irresponsible. This hotel (motel would be a more apt name for this property) is very aware that they are the closest overnight accommodations area to many venues that service parties, weddings, and big events and therefore they clearly know they can charge whatever they want & provide minimal service. Our advice, and the advice of our 12 guests who unfortunately had their weekends ruined here too, stay anywhere else, or just stay home.
Beautiful hotel and room, exactly as advertised. Staff is exceptional, professional and friendly. Beautiful bathroom, comfortable bed and overall beautiful room. Only downside is the security deposit is $250.00 and stays on your card for over a week. That is double the nightly rate I paid for one night. Hotel deposit should not be double the room rate, should be $50-100 like all other Marriott properties. Other than that, everything was exceptional and great and hotel deposit was returned to card in about 9 days.
The night clerk man was the best, we were rushing out or I would have gotten his name!! He was funny, cordial and very helpful. The bed was wonderful and comfy, the room was sufficiently clean. Pillow well they werent the greatest, but after we got a couple more it was okay. The way they still gave breakfast, since they had to modify cause of Covid, was very nice. All and all, I would definitely recommend this hotel.
I wish 0 starts was an option. This was by far the worst experience my new husband and I have ever had at any hotel in all our years. The property is run down, the rooms are small, poorly lit, and most refrigerators are not running. TVs in the rooms also were not working. Many rooms smelled intensely of smoke, and the halls were covered in garbage 24-7. The rooms clearly are not cleaned prior to guests staying there, as there was toothpaste all over our bathroom and various bugs and spider webs in corners of the room.My husband and I spent 4 nights here for our wedding, as this is the closest hotel to where we were getting married, and we had booked a hotel block well before covid, that we had to move twice. One guest had medication that needed to be refrigerated, of course, the mini-fridge did not work. The staff asked them to give the medicine to the front desk to hold - completely unacceptable and irresponsible of a staff member to offer to illegally hold medication for a person.Speaking of the staff again, not only were they incompetent, but they were also nasty and significantly rude. There was only one staff member who was kind, and unfortunately, we were unable to get his name. This hotel (although motel would be a more apt name for this property) is very aware that they are the closest overnight accommodations area to many venues that service parties, weddings, and big events and therefore they clearly know they can charge whatever they want and provide minimal service. Our sound advice, along with the advice of the other 12 guests we had stay at this facility - if youre going in this direction and need a place to stay, find anywhere else, or just stay home. This facility and the way they treat humans is completely unacceptable.
The reception was nice but the room was sub par. There was a strange hole in the floor under the rug. The board above the bathroom was crooked and had a crack in it, as did the shower floor and side wall. The shower had a strange brown stain that appeared to be mold and it was not clean between the tiles. One of the desk lamps did not work and there were a few blonde hairs found in the bed. The receptionist was kind, but the cleaning crew blocked the hallway and didn’t move despite making eye contact and seeing that we had large bags. At first we were impressed with the format of the room. It did give us a suite feel. It was nice for the bathrooms to be separate and to have a couch and desk. The TV may have been better off mounted, but it could still be seen from both sides of the room. The flaws were the biggest turn off because they would’ve been cheap to fix.
My stay was from 4/16-4/18. When I got to the hotel around 9:15 pm there was an extremely long line to check in. There was only one lady at the counter that was checking people in . She was very nice. While waiting online to check in I noticed a large group of people around 10 hanging out in the lobby, about half of them were were not adhering to CDC guidelines and wearing their masks. No one said anything to them the whole 25 mins I stood there waiting to be checked in. Once I checked in I left to go see some family and came back to the hotel around 11:45 pm. The moment we walked into the room I can tell that it was not cleaned properly When I first walked in their were peanut and peanut shells on the floor right near the front entrance. The couch in the room was full of stains. I looked up and their were handprints all over the wall on the desk. At this point I started to look around even more. There were wrappers on the floor on the side of the bed. My daughter went to go and use the bathroom and noticed that there were feces on the back of the toilet seat. I immediately left to go back up to the front desk and ask for another room. The lady at the desk gave us another room without hesitation. My daughter and I go up to the second room. At this point we are feeling very uncomfortable. We get to the second room and notice that there are stains on the sheets, a dirty drain in the bathtub with hair coming out of it and a used dirty washcloth hanging on the curtain rod in the shower. We left and went back down to the front desk to ask for yet another room. At this point the lady at the front desk was shocked that that room was also dirty also but I took pictures so she could see what we saw. She asked us to wait in the lobby so she could check out the next room to make sure it was clean before we went up again. We waited for a short time before she came back down and told us that the room was fine , she checked it. When my daughter and I went up to the room, it was right near the elevator, at first it didn’t bother me but throughout the night it was very disruptive. We checked the bathroom, sheets and floors, it still wasn’t the cleanest but we were exhausted after a 4 hour and 30 min drive that day.At this point is was around 1:00 am and we were so tired that I didn’t even feel like complaining. Doors were opening and slamming, people talking loud , running up and down the hallways. My letter to GM
We are usually very happy with Marriott hotels however were highly disappointed in this stay. We were not made aware of the pool closure before our stay. Staying with kids this is an amenity that matters a lot. Also due to Covid the breakfast advertised had been changed to prepackaged which is understandable but it was not good and very very limited hours. The price of the stay did not reflect these inconveniences. We are currently staying at another Marriot hotel for the second part of our vacation and it’s 100 times better.
It met our needs. Beds are tired and in need of replacement. Overall was clean but not pristine like some of the other Spring Hills we’ve been at. Pool was closed which was disappointing due to having kids etc. Location and service was fine. Booked and then price dropped 100.00 a night- that was disappointing and could have used money elsewhere.
Layout of the room was really strange. Toilet separate from the shower and big sink, no trash can or towels in the toilet room, just really awkward. Shower water pressure was hoooorrrrible. Half the water was coming out of the tub faucet not the shower head. Toilet room smelled like smoke and the whole room smelled very moldy and damp. Breakfast was sub par- cereal boxes and processed muffins. Staff was friendly and parking was easy.
We reserved an overnight and it was a decent stay. Nothing over the top wonderful but nothing outrageously wrong either. The rooms are a little outdated but still clean. We didnt get a chance to get their grab and go breakfast this time around. Parking was big enough but know that if you are not a Marriott member, there is a parking fee. It was quite busy when we got there but noise level was fine. We would book here again for convenience not necessarily for a luxurious experience. They followed all COVID safety measurements.
The hotel is a 15-minute drive from Islip Airport and around a 25-minute drive to the West Hampton Airport. There isn’t much within walking distance but a few restaurants within a few minutes’ drive. The staff was kind and got me checked in quickly and even made me a to go breakfast bag since I departed early. The room was clean and modern and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had the standup shower separate from the toilet into two different rooms. Nice for multiple guest but maybe annoying for a single guest. If you’re a light sleeper request a room not facing the entrance since the AC units are there. They aren’t loud but could be for a light sleeper.Other Amenities:- Free WIFI- Indoor pool was closed for maintenance- Fitness Room- Laundry room- Pullout couch- Mini fridge and microwave- Full hot breakfastAll amenities were open during my stay with no restrictions. The hotel encouraged social distancing and has an optional mask policy for fully vaccinated guests and required a mask for unvaccinated guests.
Stayed here from 2nights. Checked in and the toilet wasnt flushing properly so I called Justin at the front desk. He was so polite and helpful. He apologized for the inconvenience and changed my room with no questions asked. This was my second time staying here. One of my top hotels to stay in when I visit Long Island. Will definitely stay there again.
Recently stayed for one overnight with my boyfriend. Room was spacious and clean. Price was excellent for the area. The bed was very comfortable. The toilet is in a separate room from the shower which was convenient. The shower was large and felt great. I had a family emergency while we were there and the Asst Manager was very helpful and accommodating to me. I was very appreciative. Great customer service. I would definitely recommend this hotel. We will be back.
Hotel was decently clean but during my stay I came back to my room late after work to find my bed sheets stripped, my room smelled like smoke, and a few items were missing from my room. I told the front desk about it and the man working the desk told me there was no record of cleaning staff being in my room which is even more concerning. At 930pm I had to move all my luggage to a clean room. Definitely a bummer during my stay.
We always try to book SpringHill Suites for all of our adventures. As usual, they did not disappoint. We checked in late and the lady at the desk still offered us coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Very friendly, accommodating, very clean, and spacious. Thank you for another great stay!
As I stated in the other review. Upon arrival, the room was spacious and appeared clean. But on one bed there was a small stain. Now in the toilet room, the toilet seat itself was worn and looked like it was about 10 years old and needs to be replaced. I brought my own Clorox white thank god to clean the toilet. I would rather squat than sit on it. The Shower had what look like it had stains around the tub and a little mold. The showerhead needs to be changed it looked like it had a lot of calcium build-up. The mattresses sank when sitting on them. The walls had stuff on them. The lamp next to the bed had stains. The curtains had stains. To get room service, you had to call before 9 and not be in the room between 9-3. Unfortunately, I couldnt get my room cleaned because I had nowhere to go with my children for so many hours. The 2 little cans had no plastic bags. The bathroom light in the mirror was terrible. No of the doors worked except the front entrance to get in. I have stayed at a lot of hotels and this was the worst.
Not a quality hotel for $230 per night. The rooms were poorly laid out and the toilet and shower rooms both had sliding doors that didnt close fully (hard to keep any kind of privacy). Additionally, there was mold in the shower room and on portions of the ceiling in the sleeping area. Ive stayed at a Holiday Inn Express that was much nicer for half the price. I expect much more from Marriott and for a room thats over $200!
A tired property. Rooms are very outdated and in disrepair. Basically a comfortable visit and generally clean. You need to check the room prior to unpacking. Our rooms needed further attention after check in. Staff was wonderful, friendly, and courteous which was the reason I switched from being a Diamond member at Hilton to Marriott. But the failure here is the outdated rooms that need a lot of maintenance.
Sudden requirement for travel to eastern Long Island. Staff was most helpful, good recommendations for dinner, and helpful at breakfast, since I had to leave well before the start of service each morning that I was there. Always a smile and helpful when I spoke to them.
“I have stayed in many hotels all over New York State and Long Island, this has to be one of the most comfortable , friendly clean places I have ever stayed in Long Island NY. the grounds are well maintained, manicured and also monitored.!No expense has been spared on the key points to a great home, away from home feeling! the mattress , bedding, linen and towels were of a very good quality , as you would expect , again I have expected this in equally grandiose establishments but have been let down(A LOT) Lastly but not of the least, the staff in this establishment are amongst the most ELITE!! GM: Dominique LaRosa , AGM:Justin Edwards, AGM:Mario Flores, And the lovely ladies in the housekeeping department, are definitely true “ASSETS” to the brand!! Super big thank you to their AGM:Justin Edwards, you my friend are truly a genuine gift, beautifully wrapped under your very own Christmas tree on the holidays!! My fiancé and “I” can’t thank you enough for the amount of time and effort you put into helping us when needed everyday!! YOU are the true Marriot MVP….. (Ruben A. Titanium Elite Tier)
This was my second stay at this hotel. My first stay a year or so ago was great. This time however, the room above me - on the floor above, sounded like they were practicing gymnastics there was so much pounding above me.The room I was next to left their television on blasting (just on-not on any channel) until 3am and then turned it off. I know this, as I was unable to fall asleep until then. The walls seem paper thin.In addition, also on my floor it appeared that no one knows how to hold a door when exiting or entering a room and just let it slam. At one point I was convinced the same person was just going in and out so they could do so, also disturbing any rest I had hoped for. There definitely should be quiet hours.Needless to say, although staff was pleasant, I won’t be back.
We booked this hotel for a baseball tournament. Because of the rain, we ended up leaving a day early. When asked if I could get a refund for the 1 night, I was told that since I booked the hotel with book your block, I could not get a refund. When I asked book your block for a refund, they said they couldnt provide one due to the strict policies of the hotel. Also, it would have been nice to know that if you wanted to have your room cleaned, you had to be out of the room by 9am. Lastly, the pool was under construction. Since this was a boys baseball tournament on a rainy weekend, it would have been great to have the pool as an option for something to do.
I have been to this location a couple of times and it’s been wonderful, never had a problem until now. Checked in on February 15th around 8pm. When me and my husband checked into our room, we put our clothes in the closet only to find garbage. Of course left from the guest the night before. The night before was Valentine’s Day and it was empty chocolate wrappers and a container. This is concerning especially with the way things are now. I would have switched rooms but they did not have another king room available. We did check the rest of the room and it did seem ok. Just an oversight on checking every nook and cranny. Not sure if I will sty at this location again. Especially since I used points in this stay.
Overnight gentleman who works the front desk is HORRIBLE AND SHOULD BE FIRED!!! Was there for a baseball tournament and had no choice to stay here and a family on the team was kicked out of hotel with little kids and had to sleep in car. This was over a different baseball team who left a mess with garbage and pizza boxes and unfortunately he blamed it on our team called us nasty names which I will not say. Called the cops on us and everything. Made our stay miserable. The daytime crew was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Wish I dealt with the daytime crew 24 hours a day.
I stayed for a few days and was so incredibly disappointed with the rooms and service I received. The first room I checked into wasn’t cleaned to Covid guidelines but I tried to ignore it. The entire first day all I smelled was weed, the other guests on my floor screamed all day long, and the halls were filled with trash. I finally called the front desk to have my room moved and while they were accommodating I still was extremely disappointed. It was clear that the establishment was being used for section8/emergency housing which I am in complete support of, however there should be designated floors for such, especially during a pandemic. I have called corporate repeatedly about my stay and have been told every time the hotel will be in touch with me directly and I still have yet to hear anything. Do not stay here.
When I arrived on the front lawn was two empty bottles of Vodka. I kindly ignored it and thought the inside has to be better it’s a pandemic. Not exactly room number one was dirty I requested a different room the staff was very apologetic and accommodating. Then room number two the window had a big crack down it and the sheets had stains on it. The heat wasn’t really working but I was beyond tired so dealt with it sprayed down everything and cleaned it with wipes. Then breakfast was subpar. I thought I was at a motel not a hotel. Desk Staff was nice facility needs improvement
Overall our stay was enjoyable. The rooms were clean, the bathroom was clean. Breakfast was good and had a nice selection of choices. I was there with my four kids, without my husband and I never felt unsafe. The downside: The staff in the breakfast area were slow to refill cups, and cream for coffee. Trying to get enough towels for our room was always a problem. The pool area was not very well maintained, there were dirty towels on the floor and leftover cups laying around. Looked like no one came to check up to make sure it was clean. There were no towels, so we need to ask for more and thew pool itself looked like it needed a good cleaning. Aside for those few things, I think its a good, clean, safe place to stay and if we were in the area again, we would choose this place again.
Overall everything was fine.Breakfast wasn’t good because of Covid restrictions which isn’t mariotts fault .The room was nice but could have had a better vacuuming and a trash can would be nice too. There was only one and that was for recyclables.Staff was very nice and helpful too !
Arrived with a youth baseball team of 7 families to find that the pool was out of order for the weekend and the air conditioning in the public spaces was also out of service. The grab and go breakfast was terrible and many items were out of stock on SUN morning. We were looking forward to just hanging out on FRI night and were disappointed that the outdoor space - the pictures on the site did not reflect the poor condition of the tables and chairs. Will make every effort to find another hotel for next years tournament.
We stayed overnight at this hotel during school break in Feb 2019. The hotel is clean, and accommodating. The price online was extremely good. They have a later check out time, and the pool is open into the evening. (Which was important to my kids) The pool area was small, and the water smelled musty, but was warm. The kids had a great time there. They were even able to go in before we left. The room we stayed in was a double bed/sofa bed room. There was a lot of furniture in the room, making it difficult to open the bed. (We had to re-arrange all the furniture!) Overall it was a great stay, breakfast was good, and well worth the sanity of not staying at the relatives house!!
This is one of my favorite hotels on LI. The staff is ALWAYS friendly. Ive spent many a weeks in this establishment and never had a bad experience with my stay. The rooms are spacious, the facilities nest and clean, the pool is always good, and the exercise room is nice though a little small. The parking is easy with no space truly out of place from an entrance which is great in the very cold seasons I always end up here for. The rooms have nice seating areas with a decent couch and I like the desk setup. The TV is a little out of place but in the overall picture of the room its in a good location. The small area for drinks in the room is a nice touch. The showers have good water pressure and warm up nicely. The bathroom setup is nice too if you travel with someone. The toilet being seperate from the shower make waiting for the room to open up no longer an issue. Overall a great hotel just wish other ones took as much care as this one.
The team at the Brookhaven (NY) SpringHill Suites are terrifically helpful, courteous and gracious. Importantly and as a frequent patron of the hotel, the rooms are clean and always in good order. I know many of the staff by name and they never fail to extend their best to me...which Im sure they do to any who stay at SpringHill far less frequently than I.
I really wish I could give this place a 0 star review this was the worst stay I have ever had one guy was so rude to me and my kids it’s was unbelievable he bullied my children and bullied me and my friend he walked around high the whole time and they call the cops on us bc our 2 year old son would not stop crying I mean come on he a child he’s called us names he cornered my children he cursed at my children and he was just really rude my child went to get an orange juice fork breakfast and he grabbed it out of my child hand and spilled it everywhere. So if u guys want a nice safe environment for u and your kids don’t stay here.
Really awesome hotel. I stay here every year around Xmas. Rooms are awesome and big, with nice bathrooms. The breakfast is buffet style, and usually really tasty. I would definitely recommend staying here for a few nights when in the area. They also have Chuoa-Chups in the lobby on the main desk!
I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. Another guest was given the keys to my room and walked in because the desk double booked the space. After midnight we received 3 phone calls and 3 visits to the room (while the do not disturb sign was up) asking if we booked through Expedia and if we were checking out the next day. It was an invasion of privacy and I was uncomfortable staying. The next morning, the front desk manager was very kind, professional, and apologetic and offered to remove the charges on my card. She was particularly helpful. Members of housekeeping were also friendly, and everything was clean. The toiletries provided were minimal but satisfactory, about what you would expect. The bed, a King size, was very comfortable and there was no shortage of pillows!
The management team here is very helpful. I’ve run into Justin more than most and he is always very kind and helpful. I’ve talked to Greg on the phone who was very polite. The rooms are well cleaned and updated. Good for working. Very happy with the layouts. There’s a deli 2 min walk for breakfast and lunch until things get back to normal.
The Manager and the staffs are nice and professional. The environment is clean and the rooms are neat. The only problem I encountered was the smell of weed all evening and night. Some people were smoking weed in the room and the odour was directly coming into my room from wherever source or sources it was coming from. The Manager was consulted. He sincerely apologised and went around to investigate the source of the odour.
This place is honestly filthy upon speaking to the general manager when requesting to cancel and get refunded for my second night she rudely let me know that she was the one who did the cleanliness check I kept my cool and just explained that it was disgusting- dirty microwave, dust on everything -end table window sills the head of the bed fixtures around the room. I took pictures and videos just because she was denying it but I cant post the videos
I booked the room because I trusted that Marriott would provide me with nice accommodations. SpringHill Suites Long Island Brookhaven did not disappoint. I loved my room and liked that the hotel was very clean. The room set up was great for my spouse and I because she was not bothered when I had to work on my laptop since I was behind the desk and the window blocked the light. The fitness room had everything I needed and everything was easy to use. This hotel is also close to many restaurants and bars in Patchogue, so we had a great night out as well. It was a great experience and I will remember this hotel when I have to stay near Brookhaven again.
Room was good size. This visit was for Christmas to visit family. It usually is easier if everyone comes to the hotel to see us. So room had nice sitting area breakfast was good lots of choices. Staff friendly the one issue was that the pool water was very cloudy 1st and 2 second day pool is also small. We look for a hotel with a pool for the kids. Location is convienient to sunrise highway and the expressway. Lots of shopping close by too.
People were nice. Rooms were clean. I didnt like that the toilet was separate from the shower, but it was clean. Just awkward. My only complaint was the lobby noise. I was the ONLY person in the lobby and the noise from the staff conducting normal business was unbelievable. I was trying to listen to a webex. Their is NO effort in noise suppression in the design. The ceiling, walls and floor are all hard and so are old the seating surfaces. Sound just bounces. I found it actually painful at times.
This place is just down the road from a location I must visit for work from time to time. So they typically put us up here. The hotel is very comfortable, and during Covid-19 times, it seemed like it was clean and they were paying attention to all of the proper protocols. I was somewhat disappointed in breakfast, but I guess that too is being affected by Covid. But thats the only negative I can bring up. The people were very friendly and helpful. I was well rested when I left, and I was glad this hotel was as comfortable as it was during these troubling times.
Stayed in a king suite for a night. Super nice receptionists. Facilities included a work out room and pool that honestly feel a bit dated but is passable. Elevator was a little dirty and smelled like chlorine all the time. But the room itself was great. Absolutely comfortable and clean rooms that were quite roomy. Our suite had enough room for a sofa, coffee table and small work table. Bathrooms were very clean and overall really great. Only downside in the room was that the coffee in the room was average. Breakfast though was pretty bad. Not sure if we were just there on a busy day but the breakfast bar was constantly out of eggs and sausage. This, already on top of the fact that there werent many selections at all. The only other item people were choosing was the way diy waffle. But, like I said, the workers and staff were great and friendly, so overall still a 4 star experience, especially considering the price.
Hotel is relatively new and is well maintained and very clean. Rooms are designed nicely and water closet is separate from room with tub and shower (and vanity). Separated area with desk for business. Nice long couch and TV that swivels 180 degrees. Heating system is relatively quiet and beds and bedding are comfortable.
Booked a room here for three nights. Unfortunately on the first night, there was a rave party in the parking lot that continued from about 11:00 to 4:07 in the morning. Not a wink of sleep with the screaming and music blaring in the entire hotel, I am sure. No one in security bothered to take care of the problem. It was the most outrageous and ridiculous hotel stay Ive ever had. Needless to say, I promptly cancelled the next two nights and found somewhere else to stay.
I stayed on the Marriott property which I stayed at before this time when I arrived I wasn’t offered any upgrades was just treated like a regular Guest I’m in ambassador Elite I spend over $20,000 worth Marriott a year. Also When I extended I would ask for 4 PM check out every time the assistant manager said and was rude about it that I had to call them before 11AM everyday Even though I would ask for late check out. When addressing guest Please don’t reflect your poor work attitude
It was a nice hotel and the accommodations were great. Staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful when asked questions about restaurants in the area or a room necessities. It’s also only about a 15 minute drive to the Riverhead Outlets and Calverton National Cemetery, which was great.
Our room was clean, bed was comfortable, decor was relaxing. Maid did open our door while we were sleeping but we forgot to put the dogs not disturb sign on so thats kind of our fault. The only thing I was disappointed in was the breakfast being gone too early. The front desk told us 7-10am... went down to grab a coffee and a juice at 9am and everything was cleaned up. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The hotel was clean, the staff is nice. We had a good stay for 1 night to visit family in the area. The smaller room (1 King and sofa bed) is okay for 3 adults. The breakfast is okay if you dont care for breakfast too much, coffee and some egg? The rest is carbs. - overall is good, clean stay!
Springhill Marriott in Brookhaven was a very hotel. Great price for two days. The king room suite is beautiful. Separate living room area a divider desk king comfortable bed, microwave and refrigerator! All the things you need! The TV even had Netflix, hulu, crackle and much more. Very comfortable stay. All negative thing to say is people definitely need to get penalized harder for smoking in a non smoking hotel. Made my room smelly was able to spray and shut the bathroom door but still being at the marriot you wouldnt expect that. Breakfast I couldnt get a waffle because there was only one waffle maker and the hotel was packed. Maybe be mindful during the hoilday season to have more supplies available the line to make breakfast was out of this world. But overall the hotel decor was beautiful the staff was pleasant and helpful, the room was beautiful and most of the all the bed was heaven I slept like a baby for two days even took naps. Lol
The room is clean and spacious but the walls are thin. I mean you can hear everything. The so called heated pool felt like its barely above freezing temperature!! My gosh, the water was so cold! The front desk personnel are very nice and friendly. The breakfast is very good!
The room and breakfast were great! We got in late so asked for a late checkout so we could use the pool, which we were granted. The pool was the only downside to our stay. It was very, very cold, even my daughter was shivering. There were also no towels in the pool area. I had to ask 3 times before someone brought some in. The last time, having to get out of the pool and stand at the door dripping and cold. I would stay again but probably just not in the middle of winter.
As soon as I got there I realized my TV was not working. I called the assistant manager to help he came up twice to fix it but it would not work. He could not accommodate us-not give us any of a refund or a new room, even though we did not have a working tv. After that we still completed our 4night stay and we’re treated very rudely because we complained about the tv whenever we needed something we had to go get it ourselves from them downstairs while everyone else got there items delivered. I am very dissatisfied.
Terrible. We’ll never go again. The security guard was very lax. We stayed 2 nts. The first nt wasn’t so bad, the second was terrible. There was a large group of people drinking being loud and carrying on in the lobby when we got back to the hotel that night around 10pm. Not exactly what you want to see when you first walk in. Then we got to our room just to find a group of 3-4 teens hanging out playing music and speaking loudly right outside our door and for some reason none of our room keys worked. So we went back downstairs and had to get new room keys. We saw the security guard on the way down and we told him about the kids outside our door. He said “yeah i just had to tell some of them to stop running down the hall on the 3rd floor.” It didn’t seem like he wanted to address our concern so we told the girl at the front desk. She turned to the security guard who was now behind him and said “kids outside of room 203” we went straight up to our room where the kids carried on. My husband Finally went into the Hall to say something and saw the security guests walk right by the rowdy kids and but not say a word to them. So we ended up having to sleep with the TV on really loud to drown them out which made it difficult for my infant son to sleep. The room was in poor condition. The reading lights on the beds were broken, the carpet needs replacing and was missing in some parts along the baseboard, the bathroom doors were next to impossible to open/close, no trash bags in the cans, the toilet seat paint was worn down and the shower was broken. When we went down early the next morning (7am) for breakfast all the tables were dirty. We ended up sitting at a dirty one and asked for someone to wipe it down. A guy came and said “I just wiped all these last night” but what he didn’t know was they were dirty bc of the drinking party ppl were having down there over the night. The one good thing I can say is the receptionists are friendly and the breakfast was good. I just want to add, the next night we stayed at a different Marriott spring hill suites in a different state and everything including the room was perfect, and it was even 1/3 the price. A complete different experience at each place.I guess you never know what you’re going to get when you stay at a Marriott. I’ll remember that next time.
I was here when I travelled to Long Island for a short trip. The hotel is really great -- room is spacious, and free breakfast is sweet. They have indoor swimming pool and gym which are very convenient to enjoy after a tired day. Specially I like their setup of the room that restroom and bathroom are separated, so two of us can use them at the same time without interrupting each other. The staff here are also pretty friendly and helpful.
The staff there was the nicest staff I have met out of anywhere, which is saying a.lot given how people are usually quite nice. They were generous with their shuttle service, even helping is to the local airport well after we had checked out. All shuttle drivers were great, but wishing good luck to one headed out to play football for UCF soon. Greg at the front desk was great too, recognizing my new from a phone call and greeting me warmly. Amazing. It wasnt then quietest hotel though but I didnt care because the staff was so wonderful
Hotel is convenient for visits to Brookhaven Laboratory, and within easy reach of major highways. The road passing the hotel is busier than you might expect, and with the poor single-glazing on the front of the hotel, the road noise is an issue. The noise from the flagpole on a windy day is also a bit of an annoyance !!! Breakfast is OK, but could be improved with a little thought and some wider options for vegetarians.Free car parking is appreciated, as is the gym, though this would be better if it was bigger as some of the machines were not available when I visited. The lifts could do with an update as they were very slow moving between floors.Staff were very friendly and courteous :-)
Let me tell you how it started. Went to the room and the reading light was hanging out of the wall exposing the wires and the door housing (valance) was also pulled away from the wall. I reported it and was told it was passed to the maintenance engineer. Three days later it still wasnt fixed. To be honest they offered me another room. Now as to the design. If you like light this is not the rooms you want. There wasnt enough light to shave in the bathroom. The toilet is in another cubby and as poorly lit. The overall lighting design is very poor. There was only one night stand for the bed. The other side of the bed was against the wardrobe. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked. There was a free breakfast that was okay. I didnt use the exercise room or pool but they looked compete. Note the was a handicapped chair available for the pool. That impressed me.
This hotel is very clean and quiet. The front desk staff is excellent. Willing and ready to assist you in any way possible. I stayed on the 4th floor the road was very spacious and very clean. I was here for two days. Victor is my favorite staff person at this Marriott. He represents Marriott in a extraordinary way. We need more people like him that greet the guest with a smile. The hotel is very child friendly. The pool was heated, and breakfast was nice as well. The pricing for this hotel is minor compared to the service you will receive when you stay. Ill be going back soon!My stay was great!
I brought my son here for his school break granted I live close by it was like a mini vacation. By the time we were ready to check out my son wanted to move in. My son loved it and had the best week. He loved the indoor pool and gym the most but the rooms are very nice and clean and the nightly rates are not too expensive. It was a really nice stay. We plan to come back for his birthday weekend so I joined there first membership which is free but builds points toward a free stay which I recommend and say its worth it.
Terrible hotel... room wasnt cleaned at all nor did they clean my room any of the days I was here even after communicating to the front desk that I wanted it to be cleaned. Bed was pretty uncomfortable as well. The thing that pushed me over the edge is a week later they charged my personal credit card I gave them for incidentals to pay for the room. The room was paid for by my company ahead of time, I habe the emails to prove it. When I called to get it rectified I was told within 48 to 72 hours someone will get in contact with me to talk to me about it. This is absolutely ridiculous imo, why do I have to wait up to 3 days for someone to be available to fix their mistake?
Best bed I have ever slept on in a hotel! Staff was great, rooms are very accommodating and clean! Wouldnt stay anywhere else. Worth the extra 10 minute drive from MacArthur Airport if you are flying in.UPDATE: (It deeply saddens me)I fell in love with this hotel.... until I went home with BED BUGS! My partner and I stayed over two nights here, the hotel itself and the rooms are gorgeous. Customer service on the other hand and sanitation.... completely different story. $200 car cleaning, countless hours wasted on cleaning all of our clothes and items at home, not to mention the itching... just to get a Theres nothing we can do for you from the managers, even after we showed them proof of their bug trap that was found in our clothes... just terrible. I hope corporate knows how they treat their guests, let alone their linen.
Modern hotel with niceish rooms except for the challenge of having the bathroom in the center of the room with frosted windows which meant that the light would shine in your face when someone uses the bathroom in the middle of the night. Our room, room 423, also needs to have a super deep clean. There was dried gum in the carpet on the right of the leftmost bed and I dont want to guess how many oil/semen stains were on the curtains (at least 40-50). That was so gross. The blanket for the pull out couch had hair on it. The fitness room was a nice perk (but one of two treadmills was out or service and there was some electrical thing that was sticking out of the floor). The pool water was freezing. The management was informed and they said theyd get around to fixing it. The HVAC didnt work despite the hotel saying we needed to use the wall-based controller. We put it on 67. So why did the temperature in the room stay on 76 all night? It was very uncomfortable. It wasnt a horrible hotel, to be clear, it just had way too many cons that were resoundingly memorable. I normally love Springhill Suites (and I write this from one in Connecticut right now which is much better) but this was a miserable experience in comparison.
Over all the exterior features of the hotel property (exterior, lobby, hallways were up kept well). Breakfast was also very good. However, I must have been the customer who must have gotten the slightly abused room, or at least I hope so. Bathroom smelt of smoke late evening / early morning the first day of my stay. Second was better with only a faint smell on the last morning of my stay. This may have been out of the control of the hotel management. First morning I reported a reading light on the headboard hanging by its cables and TV stuck in small screen format with a not fully functioning remote. These reported items were not dealt with, nor did I receive any follow-up. Other issues included a stained coach, sticky white spot on a side table in the corner, a damaged bed side table (bent metal leg) and light not functioning in the microwave / fridge unit. There was also a dirty glass in the microwave unit. Definitely attention required to fixing damaged items in the room and room cleaning.
Room smelled of cigarettes. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Only the volume worked on the tv remote, poor air conditioning. Poor quality buffet. Over priced room for a poor quality room. Towel hook in bathroom does not hold towels. Various stains in room made the room appear dirty. Had I another option, I would have stayed somewhere else. The only positive was an awesome front desk staff.
As a Marriott time share owner my family and I have had the pleasure of booking accommodations in various Marriott Hotels and vacation properties. In comparison to other properties owned by Marriott Spring Hill - Brookhaven warrants a low grade. This hotel satisfies guests needs to get off the road for a one night stay. At best I rate the SHS-Brookhaven as a 3 star hotel.
We came in for a baseball tournament. The staff was accommodating about early check-in. My son loved the pool. It was chaos with 50 + kids running around but the front desk staff (Amber and Veronica) were friendly and professional. I loved the breakfast buffet. I would definitely return here.
This hotel had really spacious rooms. We had a living area with a sectional couch, two queen beds and two bathroom areas. Each bathroom had a sink and then one had the shower and the other had the toilet. It was great for getting ready in the morning. The hotel staff was very nice. We had a smelly refrigerator but other than that we had a great experience.
Staying here for a week because of an unforeseen situation. Reserved here because I just needed somewhere to stay that was fairly close to my family. I wish I would have taken a little bit more time to decide. I would have chose a nice place. The rooms are pretty nice, but I just say the hallways, elevators and the outside of the building are dirty. Bins of garbage sitting outside the rear entrance, dirty rugs which dont look like they have been vacuumed in some time. Also dust and dirt on shelving, switches, and nooks and crannies. Would not stay here again. I would have spent a couple of hundred dollars more and stayed in a cleaner place. Also some of the people at reception could be a bit friendlier.
Overall it did the job but not dying to go back. The room was nice but there was no tub for two young kids and pull out for kids had no sheets. The credit card on file was lost and they emailed me to call and update info. After calling, they still asked for credit card info at check in.
Rooms were lovely. Had to share with a family member and the separation of the pull out couch and bed, as well as the bathroom necessities couldnt have functioned better. Very spacious work desk. The front desk had an impressive stock of snack/small meal options and random toiletry necessities. Gym was extremely clean. Will absolutely suggest and look for other SpringHill Suites in my travels... thanks!
We were staying for one night for a special girls night (with my two young daughters). Chose the hotel based on location and indoor pool. On first glance walking through the door, common areas were dirty. I can understand the rugs being dirty as its winter and snowy, but there were wrappers everywhere (computer center was a filthy mess this morning and it was overrun by children last night) and floors and rugs looked like they needed a vacuuming/scrubbing. Room had a lot of potential, but again, cleanliness was an issue. General surface cleaning was good, but carpets needed to be vacuumed, glasswork was covered in fingerprints, walls in bathrooms needed a wipe down and there was a mysterious diet stain on the ceiling that came off with a wet washcloth. Couches and carpets were stained. There was a black garbage bag in the hallway all night and wet towels outside a door from the time I checked in until I checked out today and candy and bandaid wrappers on floor outside elevator. I saw a housekeeping staff member coming back from breakfast and she clearly didnt address these things by picking them up immediately. Elevators were filthy...both floors and walls. Hotel staff seemed pleasant, breakfast was good, but the place just wasnt that clean. We probably wont choose it again based on cleanliness issues we saw. Disappointing because we would have chosen to stay more often during cold weather to allow our kids a special occasion to swim.
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The facilitys were clean enough, except for the mold odour in our suite and the mountains of empty boxes dumped at the end of each hallway. But the attitude of most of the desk staff was literally the most disgusting I have ever had to endure. If I call the front desk to be connected to a guest in another room I dont expect to be told that next time I should consider reading the instructions on how to do this myself. Maybe next time Ill simply check myself in and can avoid having to deal with the desk staff at all.
I love love love this hotel, my ex (biggest selfish inappreciative individual), but it wasnt all a disappointment, we had spent time with the baby we shared here and it went well til back home. I have a heart with a key given to my boys 16, 12 (13yr relationship, 2 boys, my fiancée of 8 years passed to the next place of the thing called life 8 years ago) & One 14 month old w/ my ex bf. 3 Boys
Clean, comfortable hotel with nice amenities and great staff. Unfortunately, recent updates to the the room’s key system led to my door’s inability to lock. When in the room I used the manual lock but if I left anyone could enter by pushing on the door. It was so late by the time I noticed this that I wasn’t leaving the room anymore anyway. I’m sure they would have relocated me had I reported it.
I was in town to attend a funeral. I requested an early check in but when I was checking in the gentleman said he was not sure that he could accomodate the request because they had been sold out the night before. He went out of his way to check with the staff to see what rooms were ready and was able to accommodate my request. I have stayed at this location several times and they have always met my expectations.
Clean rooms with trendy details. The free breakfast is your typical eggs, bacon/sausage, waffles, cereal, yogurt, etc. Rooms have a mini fridge, nice shampoo/conditioner. The bathroom door is a little hard to open because its a sliding door. The walls to our neighbors upstairs were thin as they were listening to music, but overall this was a good stay.
Arrived on a Friday night and was greeted by a very unfriendly attendant. When I was charged for my night about 12 hours I was also billed 150.00 for incidental services. 150 for basically a12 hour stay at a hotel with no restaurant or bar. It will all come back to me but to Bill more for incidentals than the actual room cost seems excessive. I asked for a manager to explain and was told no management was on duty. This will be my last time here.
Typical Marriott property with comfortable clean rooms. Had a fire alarm in the middle of the night that took awhile to clear, so we spent the better part of an hour standing in the parking lot in the middle of the night. Seemed to be some confusion with staff at the front desk, so they should review their fire alarm procedures with staff. People were wandering in and out of the lobby while the alarm was active. Took fire dept 20 minutes to arrive. People could have been hurt or killed and building would have burned down in a real fire.
Stayed here with my family. It was fine but not sure I’d recommend it unless you’re really watching your money. Rooms were disappointing. Bathroom doors wouldn’t close and beds were way too soft. That said location was good and the price was great so I guess you get what you pay for.
For the past 6 years me and my fiancée have been coming to this hotel just for mini getaways, to celebrate anniversarys and also birthdays and we always enjoy our stay. We never look for any other hotels in the area because this is our go to. The pool is great and the staff is always friendly. We love it here and are already thinking about the next time we plan on coming again!
For what we paid it was okay. We got a priceline deal, however had we paid full price we would have been really disappointed. The free breakfast was okay. The room was clean. The employees were kind. However, the elevator broke down during our stay, as well as two of the ice machines. The door to our room was not working well and it was very loud when we closed it. Our room did not have a dresser and there were no towel racks (just two towel hooks for our five guests). The swimming pool is tiny. There is no jacuzzi. I liked how there were towels in the pool area for guest use.And.. please note the $10 per night parking fee for a hotel in the middle of nowhere. I get a parking fee in nyc where space is limited, however this is not the case. Just increase the rate $10 per room; instead of hiding the fee.Overall we felt we got a good deal, but things could have been better.
What a wonderfully laid out, decorated and ran hotel. The staff was fantastic. The king room has separate rooms for shower and toilet which is handy. A very nice work area, sectional couch, flat screen, micro fridge, microwave,Mr Coffee and real coffee mugs. If there was a six star rating I would gladly give it.
As always with Marriott this hotel is nicely designed. Yet, there are problems with smelling bed linen, seemingly not changed after previous guests stays. And what is more inexplicable is that ten days after checking out with a zero balance, the hotel management has not cleared/dropped the credit card hold placed for incidental expenses, still pending on my credit card.
The male receptionist for the 12/5/2016 (5:20 pm) shift is rude and doesnt really care about either his job or me. He greeted other guests, but not me. I am making this statement after my observation, and after observing how he treated me vs other guests (I am not a diva in any way, I was there for business-meaning Im in and out). The other lady before or after him though is his total opposite--very nice, accomodating, professional which was how other Marriott hotels staff in my experience have been. I hope he will learn to treat ALL guests of ALL races the same. The hotel was okay for a business trip, but my rating has greatly affected by this guys disservice. The hotel is very nice in terms of aesthetics. The room looks clean, but if you look closer pillow cases or sheets were not replaced (I stayed 4 nights).
My boyfriend and I recently stayed at this hotel two days ago and had the worst experience we’ve ever had with a hotel, not to mention the time before this we had an ant infestation! When we checked in two days ago the front desk agent informed us that we only needed to have a card on file for incidentals. However, when we woke up the next morning we were charged not only the incidentals but also the room charge. We booked through Agoda assuming it was paid for on their with our other card that we used. Because they charged the incidentals and the room fee, my credit card went over my limit. If I was told what was actually being charged to my card, this would have never happened. When we checked out, the front desk supervisor Justin dismissed my concerns and told me he would fix it “sometime later today” as if it wasn’t a priority for him. When I called Marriott to explain the issue they ended up transferring me back to Justin, who then dismissed my concerns again by saying it was a miscommunication “like if I told you it was sunny outside and you walk out and it’s raining.” A poor weather analogy does not fix my credit score. Melanie, the general manager, also provided absolutely zero support and even hung up on me when I tried to explain the situation to her. She did not care at all that we had an ant infestation either.Between the ill equipped and rude staff as well as their complete disconcern for the bug problem in our room, I’m disgusted by both of our experiences at this location. When presenting either of these problems the staff quite literally laughed in our faces, and failed to fix any concerns that we had. Don’t be fooled by the photos of a clean new property, as the management and bug infestations will make for a terrible experience with no resolution from management.Below is the video of the ants, so unless you want to wake up to hundreds of ants and deal with unprofessional and rude staff — Don’t stay here!
During the weekend of my stay one elevator was not operating, there was a tech. there looking at it our first night and they never had anyone come back to fix the problem - let alone put a sign on it that it was out of order. It doesnt make sense as to why that would be let go for a holiday weekend and a hotel that seemed to be fully booked. Aside from that, my room had silly maintenance issues that were not addressed before or during my stay. These things could easily have been fixed before hand since if the cleaners are doing their jobs it would be noticed while cleaning. The sink stopper in the shower sink could barely come up to let the water drain, one day I had to pry it open, the freezer part of the mini fridge/freezer combo did not work and the screen for the window was popped out severely and I could not open my window all weekend since bugs would have come in-upon my arrival my room reeked of pot which led me to need to open the window. On a cleanliness level the cleaners did ok, however the lamp on the nightstand looked like it had been previously splattered with some form of liquid, not cleaned or replaced before my stay. The customer service at the desk was also very unprofessional and rude, I overheard a gentleman cursing at little kids that weekend, any request/comment or even an attempt for conversation the desk help didnt seem as if they wanted to be there representing a full hotel. Lastly, I had requested a refund since I left a full day early - trying to spare the awful review and service received but because my stay was on a 3 night minimum a refund was not an option, which I am disappointed to hear because had the service been better I would have been more inclined to stay my last night on the reservation.
We stayed here for a family wedding in hopes of making it a mini vacation as well. We did not realize there would be a ton of Little League players staying here as well. The hotel itself was nice however it was over run by kids, the pool, the breakfast area, everything. However that being said even before they arrived, the gentleman that ran the breakfast area was unable to keep up with the breakfast bar food. Only one of the elevators was running the entire 4 days we were there.
We stayed overnight as part of a large group while attending a local wedding. I never stayed at a Springhill Suites before and was pleasantly surprised. The room was modern, spacious, and very clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
The room was amazing ... The check-in staff is really cheerful and happy to help, answer your question .Room has microwave , fridge ,office desk , fast and free WiFi ...They have 24hour fitness center , a heated pool 6:30am to 11:00 pm ...Complimentary breakfast ...What else you need guys !!!
Had a hiccup with reservations and front desk did good trying to deter communication with the manager. Thankfully the manager was very helpful and we got to stay at the hotel. Great indoor pool and wonderful room (booked two queen beds with pullout couch). We will definitely stay again.
The room was nice and clean but hallways were all dirty, elevator so gross, gave me a hard time for towels, more toilet paper, etc. They never even brought me half of the things I even asked for. The breakfast wasnt that good either I chose to skip it which is not me at all.
This was supposed to be a quiet Valentines Day weekend and it turned out to be anything but that. The room or rooms above us played excessively loud music all night into the morning. They were slamming doors and running around the hallways and speaking loudly as well. Our stayed felt more like being at the local cheap motel than a nice hotel. We will never stay here again.
This review is totally based on how I was treated by the staff regarding the reservation. I had two rooms reserved for weekend. I called Friday morning directly to the hotel to cancel one of the rooms. I specifically asked prior to finalizing the cancelation if there was going to be a charge and was told no. I repeated the question to confirm no charge and was told no. Sunday upon checkout I saw the charge on my credit card. I asked prior to check out to see a manager. The on site Mgr came out and proceeded to tell me the person on the phone was incorrect in making the statement of no charge. However, it was up to the Hotel Mgr to make the final decision and they would not be in until Monday. I was asked to supply an email for notification. I then asked if the room was rented on Friday and I was told it had been. So Marriott received double billing for the room. I am a Marriott rewards member and find it amazing that they would treat anyone like this let alone a member. I also find it interesting that no one offered on Friday night that I was charged for the room. I was part of a baseball team group that would have been able to utilize the room for some one in the group. They took my money and then rented the room out for a double dip. Great Customer Service Marriott!
We checked in lastlight and before we came we made our reservations stating how many persons, yet the bathroom had only 2 towels and no wash cloth. The continental breakfast they advertised is a brown paper bag with a yogurt, a muffin, a cereal bar. I am very disappointed because my family take a weekend trip every month and this is the worst hotel we have stayed in.
Room was dirty. Coffee pot in room was missing parts and the optional higher speed wifi would not connect. The gentleman running the breakfast could not have done a better job. He was friendly and helpful. He was the only bright spot in the hotel. If you lost a baby bottle during your stay in room 110 it is still under the bed where it rolled. It can be seen from the living room area.
We arrived Friday 5/26 and were given the wrong room. We booked a 2 queen suite and were given a king suite which did not accommodate our family. The response to the error was dismissive at best. I was told by the manager on duty that he would bring it up to his boss on Tuesday. We were checking out on Monday - so that was not going to do us any good. I then had to call Marriott customer care to get involved. After an hour and a half we were given a double queen suite right next door to the one we were in - despite having been told earlier that none was available. Then on Sunday - we woke to no hot water in our room for the shower. I alerted the front desk personally to the problem at 7am. I was told they had no other complaints. I told them they had one now and again felt like the issue was being dismissed. I told them I let the shower run for 5 minutes and the water never changed from cold. We had to leave for the day after that. Upon return at 3pm - there was still not hot water. I was informed that there indeed was no hot water in my room and an engineer would be out at some point. - but not time was given. At that point we decided to leave the hotel and not stay our final night.I would never hesitate to book a Marriott room in the past - this experience changed that.
I arrived at this hotel at 11:00pm during shift changeI was told I had to have all money on my card to check in. So I finally got all my money on one card and I was told it was declined still after I see that the took the full payment and also 150.00 deposit then I sat in the lobby as the front desk agent tried and call her manager it was getting so late I had to go get my nine year old son a blanket while he sat up in slept in the lobby for a good 30 minutes. The next morning I was told I would be getting a discount and my money released back to me by the front desk supervisor witch was the day before check out the business day comes I still haven’t seen it. I won’t be staying at this property again after I have driven 4 1/2 hours and my son had to be woken up out of his sleep.Just a horrible stay.
Had family stay here for NYE weekend. First room smelled like smoke and weed, had to get the room changed. The second room had very loud neighbors and had to call the front desk to get them to quiet down. I went there the next day and heard the TV in the other as if it were right in our room. Paper thin walls and was not a very pleasant stay.... avoid room 221 if you can!
The hotel was very pleasant and comfortable. I had an issue which I reported and was not taken care of in a timely fashion. It was a minor issue of which would not prevent me from staying there in the future. The value was excellent and overall we had an enjoyable stay
Noisy and dirty! Doors slam all night long. You can hear every footstep of the room above you. Found hair in the bed and on the sink. Items from previous guests found on the floor indicating poor housekeeping. Elevator dirty. Floors in common areas dirty. Front desk gave us room in middle of hallway when we asked for quiet room due to early appointment. I am certain there is no quiet room. Poor construction. Overpriced. Do not believe the good reviews.
Located in industrial area, but not a deterrent. Convenient location, reasonable NY prices. Very comfortable room. Not sure about sliding doors on lav areas. Doesnt muffle sound and noisy if sleeping with someone else in room if you use toilet but tolerable, just strange set up. Beds comfortable heat/AC worked perfect. 3 rd stay at this hotel. Love Marriott properties
See prior comments. Cleanliness of bathroom was a major issue. Cleaning and bath caulking was poor. My guest had not AC, New building is great location however value for current cleaning and staffing issues would prevent another visit until I was assured issues were resolved.Staff and cleaning personal need to step up several levels.You should not rent rooms to a baseball team of 12 year old kids unless you have staff available to clean and organize for the rest of us. My wife reported no toilet paper in bath, there was only one behind desk, it was never resolved while I was there. I have grandchildren too. However these young ones were VERY messy and the staff was not adequate to keep up.;
Hotel was excellent. Rooms very clean and very comfortable. Staff was very helpful. It rained all weekend so we did not get to site see but staff was very helpful on making recommendations of what to do. Very close to Baseball Heaven and loved the suite style room and the toilet and shower separate works great when traveling with a family.
My overall review my at the spring hills suite in Brookhaven was mediocre compared to other Marriott I have been to my child got sick due to dirty pool which I only took notice of when It was too late. The room was unclean in some areas the couch, the carpet, and the dusty tables. The breakfast was subpar; the were unappealing and inedible. The food presentation was poor. I had to scavenge for some salt. Overall I was displeased and disappointed. The staff was ok.
Traveling quite frequently, I can say that this hotel has a very friendly, professional staff that makes you feel comfortable upon arrival. The rooms are clean and modern not to mention how comfortable the bed is after a long day. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants great value for the money, and wants a clean modern place to stay with a friendly staff.
I spent over 40 nights at the Springhill Suites Hotel in Bellport, NY, in the middle of the winter - a harsh adjustment as I was relocating from southern California. The amenities of the hotel are modern, functional and well kept by a great team of people under Gregs management.During the whole stay the personnel was extremely friendly, offering help, asking if I needed anything, from the rooms to the gym to the breakfast area.I am very thankful to the whole team for making my transition so smooth and by providing a friendly atmosphere to those who are away from their loved ones for extended periods.

2022-01-26I really enjoyed my stay. Nicole at the front desk was very accommodating! I had trouble with the 3rd party I booked through and Nicole went above and beyond making sure I got my room. Very knowledgeable at her job.My room was very clean and smelled good. Thanks for a great experience. I will definitely be back!

2022-04-17Nice, spacious, comfortable rooms with nice amenities. Loved the separate work / sitting area that is separated from the bedroom. Also liked that the toilet was separate from the bathroom. Beds and pillows were comfy and soft…made for a good night’s rest. Front desk staff was super friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great and breakfast staff were very kind and friendly too. Overall a great stay…highly recommended!!!

2022-05-01I had an amazing time here at Springhill! The staff is amazing especially Tom from the front desk! But everyone was super nice and Friendly. The rooms are cleaned everyday. (Unless you dont want) plenty of parking. Breakfast is basic but hot and delicious. I would recommend everyone to stay here. The only disappointment was that the pool was closed due to construction.

2022-05-21The rooms are nice and clean, as one would expect, and the hotel features a tiny pool and fitness area for hotel members. The complimentary breakfast is more casual; there is little hot food, one waffle maker, some pastries, coffee, and juice. You have everything you need to have a nice stay, and the staff here are very friendly, but the reason for my low review is you’re paying premium prices for an average experience. Wait for some discounts to come and then reserve a night here.

2022-01-03Positive: Hotel employee at the front desk was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. BED WAS AWESOME!! Very plush and soft. Very pleasant experience. Negative: Room 332 had had a big jagged crack in the shower wall. It was caulked but very ugly. Shower glass rattled and leaked onto the floor too. Lights built into the bed were loose and not maintained. Sofa bed (for our son) was torture!

2022-04-14Positive: The location was perfect, I used to live in the area and know its a good hotel. I always recommended it to friends and family to stay in when they came to visit. Everyone loved it. Negative: The pool wasnt open and we were looking forward to it, but we understood there was a little construction going on. I have 9/10 for room because after a few hours when you entered the room it smelled like spoiled milk. But was over all clean.

2022-04-18Positive: The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. I think they know people are disappointed by the state of the rooms and the pool being closed. And of course a decent breakfast in the morning is always a plus. Negative: The air conditioner was absolutely filthy. When my girlfriend sat on the bed she thought there were bugs¿nope. It was debris being blasted out of the fan. We ended up turning it off which made for a very uncomfortable night of sleep for all of us.

2022-04-04I have stayed in hundreds of hotels. This by far was my best experience to date. Thomas at the front desk was the best front desk employee, I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. I was blown away with his professionalism and attention he gave me and my family. This hotel is blessed to have an employee like him.
