The best pizza we ever had in (City)!! The pizza was so delicious and with so many flavor could choose that we even visited the pizza shop twice in the month! You could just take away or standing finish your pizza in the store. Consistently great thin crust pizza with great variety of toppings and styles. Service is fast too. Can’t go wrong with this place, lots of vegetarian choices
I came here with my girlfriend for a weekend night date. The waitress was amazing and full of life. We really enjoyed her food and wine recommendations. The place had a great chill vibe that allowed for us to sit and have a long conversation. The food was very tasty and I would recommend for a spontaneous weekend date.
I ate here THREE times last week. Picked up a take out order on Wed, went with friend on Friday and Carmen took great care of us. My friend only wanted to sit outside but there were no tables available and my friend said she would wait. Carmen said, Give me a minute. She brought a table from somewhere and sprayed it down and wiped it and brought it outside. Amazing! Then 2 friends met me Sunday and I mentioned Spunto. They were all in. Elizabeth was our server. She was phenomenal! Great happy hour deals. And the food all 3 times was delicious. The best thin crust pizza, great salads(burrata was wonderful) and the food is so fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend this fantastic restaurant. Thank you Spunto!
Ugh I love all of these spots (Spunto, Vezzo, Posto, Groppo… I might be missing a few). Food is great. I go between their super thin (disclaimer: not NY style) pizza and their ravioli. I’ve had friends who work for them and I’ve always heard good things about the owners, as well. That’s just a bonus.
Been here many times and company I work for usually orders from here. The pizza here is really good and I can usually eat 2 -3 slices. They are after all thin small slices 😀I usually get the pepperoni slices. Their house salad comes with their own dressing and its delicious! They also offer personal size pies and salads. Will definitely be back!
Always great service and awesome lunch and happy hour specials. I love their salads and pizza! Probably one of my favorite go-tos in the city.Edit: The Cheddar Apple Salad is my favorite! We used to host our bookclub here pre-pandemic and it was perfect as wed buy a bottle of wine and get a free pizza. It was the perfect atmosphere and level of quiet for us.
Perfect Pizzas for every taste..I love the personal size pizza for me and I get anchovies on the side..they also have amazing , interesting salads. For Dessert my friends and I get the Bread pudding OMG its fantastic. The service is wonderful , everyone is really down to earth n friendly...(Susan is my favorite, she remembers me and my friends and is so attentive n sweet)I prefer the week days n nights to weekends only because it gets pretty packed..but its always worth the trip
Amazing pizza with super thin crust. Long list of choices of pizzas and salads. We had traditional Classica and ChickPotle, both were really good. Friendly staff. Popular place, there were no empty seats when we were leaving. Lots of empty meter parking, free after 7. Will definitely be back.
I love Spunto! We came here for lunch and got seated pretty quickly, though they were busy. The waitstaff were super friendly as were the maîtres d. Our orders were taken pretty quickly and our small salads came out very soon after. The salads were not small at all, and they were wonderful and fresh and full of nice greens. Two of my friends had the pizza, which was so delicious. I had the grilled chicken and goat cheese sandwich, which was also delicious. Its also very reasonably priced and very cute decor. Highly recommend!
Great food and great service. We had a party of seven and they were able to accommodate us with a reservation. We got a personal pizza and the beet salad and that was enough for two people. The beet salad with the pistachios was the best beet salad Ive ever had! The server was nice and personal and service was prompt. The lemonade was a great idea, you can sweeten it to how you like and I thought that was very ingenious. The atmosphere was laid back but inviting. Will definitely return.
IMHO, best pizza in the city, period. (As are their sibling locations, Postos, etc.) Ive actually salivated while waiting. Great spot - inside or out.As an aside, both Susan and Elizabeth are incredible servers who are above and beyond what you would expect in a casual restaurant.
What a beautiful place for extraordinary thin crust pizza. Upscale with moderate priced. A great place for a conversation between 2 or 6+ people. Lovely decor, good service. Specialty salads plus other Italian treats. Located conveniently in the West Village on Carmine Street. Near the FDECA and #1 trains.
I love this place and its a standard every time I return to NY. I first discovered it because it was a neighborhood spot. I lamented not living closer to other famed thin crust places like Grimaldis (back in the day, now not so much) so decided to give this place a try. I was amazed. The thin crust is as this as you can get, literally cracker thin and fits my definition of a perfect NY crust: thin (of course), crispy, cracks when you fold it but doesnt break, and stands up to the toppings when lifted. The toppings are on point too, though sometimes a little salty / intense (ahem meat lovers, but I get it anyway), and the pies have gotten a little smaller over the years (they used to fill the whole tray). Everyone should visit this place and it will become the pizza standard by which you judge all other pizzas.
I have to say, I was a bit disappointed by Ucayali. The pizza was good, but not that great. Ingredients were really fresh and delicious, but overall, I just wasnt blown away. I love the fact that its BYOB, but we didnt know and had to run out at the last minute to get a bottle of wine. They push you to turn over the tables quickly, but thats understandable given the enormous line outside.
Kind of pricey unless you catch the lunch special but what else to expect from that neighborhood. Food was okay, I ordered the ravioli, it wasnt that great but might be up to taste with others. Their pizza however is great and is indeed super thin. So if in doubt, order that.
How am I ever supposed to eat garlic cheese bread from somewhere else again? Great little spot with lots of outdoor seating and very reasonable prices. Creative and delicious thin crust pizza. Huge portions of cheese bread and a personal pizza for under $40 -- in NYC!
I had to come back and just share again how amazing this place is. literally 5-stars! Clean, friendly, tasty and thoughtful - this is such a well thought out and maintained business. Their house salad is yummazing!Absolutely amazing service at great prices every single time! Try the quinoa avocado salad with creamy Cesar dressing, so good!
We loved the thin crust because it didnt give you the feeling of having eaten a whole bread and little else. We enjoyed the toppings as their flavoures were rich and colourful. It was a pizza like we had never before and we were both very pleased we had found this little place. Shame we couldnt sit outside anymore because of the time (it was past 10 pm).
Very disappointed by my delivery order.I had ordered delivery once before: a chipotle and milanese pizza. And they were good. This time I ordered a meat lovers pizza and it was not the same quality. Not at all consistent with the quality of the previous order. My pizza was burnt all around the edges and felt prepared with less care..I will not order again as I have the impression it can be a hit or miss.
I am a pizza lover and I was not blown away by the pie. I mean….I have shared a lot of slices in my day. And this place does not make the list. One of the main things that it lacked was flavor. I had to add a bunch of peppers, garlic salt, parmesan, etc in order to enjoy my pie. I am not impressed and I will not return. On top of it… the service was below average. Just a big… no bueno!
Quality though unspectacular and fairly pedestrian menu served with attentiveness and speed. The place is subtly lit, mellow, arrayed in dark wood, with slightly cramped seating. Their kitchen is open and almost falls on top of you if youre seated in the back, which is a nice touch.
Very poor service, waitress did not check on us once. We were a group of 5, we order sandwiches and pasta plates. Unfortunately every item ordered was a disappointment. Meatballs tasted like frozen beef and were so tiny with a bunch of onions, Chicken parmigiana was overcooked (the breading was burnt), pasta sauce was runny and tasteless.

2022-06-09Don’t sleep on Spunto! For a thin crust fancy pie, there is simply no better place in the city. They have an amazing happy hour special where you get a free large cheese pizza with a purchase of any wine bottle or pitcher of beer. Our favorite is the Parma pizza and the Chickpotle. The fresh apples and balsamic glaze is what does it for me in the Parma. Love the Caesar and we also sometime get the Crostini. Yum yum yum all around.

2021-10-07This place is an incredible pizza 🍕 spot! Spunto Thin Crust Pizza has a great collection of delicious 🤤 house pies! Definitely try the Chicken Parmesan Pizza! You can also ask for half and half to try multiple pies! Service is quick and staff is super nice! The Happy Hour is great and offers a free plain pizza pie (or $21 off any other pizza) if you order a pitcher of beer 🍺! I wish I came here more often!

2021-10-03This is one of my favorite pizzas in the city. Its the same menu and preparation as vezzo and always hits the spot. One of the best thin crust pie in the city.It was my first time at this particular location and was slightly underwhelmed by the really long wait times to even place the order. They seemed to be really understaffed.I recommend customizing the pizza to your taste. Do add sun dried tomatoes as a topping

2021-09-19Pizza around NYC is typically really good. This pizza was especially good! The crust was very thin and crispy and gave it a different vibe than a classic ny slice because it wasnt soggy at all. Atmosphere was great and so was service. Recommended for sure :)

2022-07-23Great place for thin crust pizza, esp. on a Friday night. Decent footfall, but not crowded and no waiting. Ample space for seating and you dont have to shout to get heard. We asked for the spicy marinara and it was just as spicy as advertised :). Overall, good food and service. Definitely recommend.

2022-04-14Our waitress, Elizabeth, was wonderful as always. Its always nice to have that person be your person when dining. Elizabeth has been for at least 4 years. She knows us and our fur babies! The Pizza is amazing and the Sarnac refreshments are delicious.

2019-11-05Gosh, this place is really a gem! My workplace orders from Spunto frequently so I decided one day to try it fresh. I got a chipotle chicken inspired recipe which I thought was quite good and fresh. The crust was crispy and a very different sort of thin crust which youll rarely find around the city. Im a big fan of cilantro so I really thought it was exceptional (pass on the pineapple). The reason I have to knock it one star is because of the price. A personal pizza with toppings and a soda came out in the ballpark of $20 and I cant be spending that kind of *dough* on a lunch. Nevertheless, the crust and pizza is to dry for so if you got some extra cash to splurge and are in the mood, try Spunto!

2017-08-027.29.17 - We ordered the Shroomtown and Meat Lovers pizza, both of which were really good. The Meat Lover is spicy, but not prohibitively spicy. The staff is nice and attentive. The ambiance is that of a ho-hum pizza shop, but more restaurant style.
