2022-05-31This places is not for childrens and patentes the want structure for they childrens. The y don’t have a good food for the residents, not a lot fruit, they have a lot of junky stuff. They don’t use that big campus in the benefit for childrens. No CBT DBT groups.and the worse part is they get pay a lot of money and they don’t do nothing for the residents.

2018-10-19As a former employee, I would advise anyone from sending their children here. I first joined st Chriss team hoping that I could change these childrens lives and provide them structure and guidance. I have a passion for psychology, as I do have my degree in psychology. The more time I spent there, I realized it wasnt about the children, it was about money. It wasnt about who is qualified for the job; but who they can bully and control without exposing them. Lower status staff like myself. I eventually learned that this place is more of a bureaucracy, and a harsh sentence to some of these kids. And with the lack of knowledge most staff have here, to guide, and actually care for these adolescence, to help them grow and overcome is unqualified and sad to witness in front of your own eyes. I am not one too stand around and not say anything, so once I did, I was bullied out of there. Shows how professional these people are handling children at such a precious developmental age. This place shouldnt be; or they need to do a lot of reforming and changing if they actually care, but they dont, thats the worst part, which is why I left.

2019-07-11St, Christopher is a holistic, nurturing and supportive environment for some of our most struggling young people. As a DOE teacher and special education coordinator, I have looked into their services and their campus for several of our students over the years. Their staff have been exceedingly accommodating and welcoming. I am confident that St Christopher can support students in ways many learning centers cannot, they individualize care academically, socially, therapeutically and physically, in addition to life planning. I have made connections with the staff, and its been reassuring to hear how highly they think of their work and how connected and compassionate they are with their students. For families looking for comprehensive youth support, this is the place!

2020-09-11Child welfare has its challenges. This agency would do well to do some meaningful fund raising and grant writing to supplement programming. They try to provide quality services but funding and staffing issues are a barrier. Agency is top heavy but youth need service providers on the ground. Covid has interrupted some of the gains the agency has made. Perhaps they can regain their momentum.

2018-09-22I am a parent of one of the kids at CCS I find the not one of the people in the staff talks to others they are more into their own home life then our kids the kids seem to be running the show. Most parents do not seem to care about what is going on with their kids as I do believe I was the only parent at family day. The CEO was more concerned about missing the Jets game than the kids and his very expensive kitchen reno than the kids or the staff. It seems the kids that do think for themselves are drugged. For the most part, the staff is uneducated and has no clue what their coworkers are doing or telling the kids. But the ones lower on the rank are very friendly and do want more for our kids but as lower rank they have no say and are not recognized or asked for their input as higher ups do not care.

2021-04-10I know where you coming from because I was in the same place when I was 12 .and all the cottage parents had there favorites.and me and my friend where the only Hispanic in the cottage we were set up and my friend got jumped and they held me down to watch what was being done to my friend.when the supervisor came to the cottage that girl passed by me in the bathroom and I put her head in the toilet and was flushing it I was not playing with anyone. Then one time a cottage parent hit me and I defend myself I was in shall cottage.now I have paid due to everything I went through there.

2016-01-08I did an internship here wonderful place. MR. GILL was a great influence, very informative. The staff was well-rounded, I thought. I was considered for employment there, told to apply and got the job. I was until I meet TINA THOMPSON I was disgusted with the value of the company. People like her will discourage you and try to put you down behind close doors but until you try and speak up for yourself your job offer will be taken away. I am so glad that I saved myself from that place no honestly Im glad I saved myself from bring in any contact with Tina Thompson. I would not recommend employment due to her unprofessionalism, unruly, and bullying behavior. I commend the staff that dealt with that behavior I will be reaching out to the owner.

2018-08-08I was sent here during my teens. I am 41 years old now and I will say that overall, it was a great experience. Beautiful living conditions, kind staff and teachers. I wish I had stayed but I chose to keep running away to be at home with my family. St. Christophers is what you make it.

2019-09-28I used to be there from the ages of 15-18. I used to hate it. But now I realize it wasn’t bad. In fact I miss those days. I would relive it all again. I’ve gained some lifetime friends being there. My experience was great. I’m 34 now. I would recommend sending a troubled teen here.
