This deli is very clean. They have a good selection of produce, and a great beer selection. Deli meats and cheeses never look old, and the make a great sandwich for $4.50!

It used to be Associates but its new owners... Neighborhood highly gentrified do its pricey there now. Even new windows lol.

2022-02-28St Johns Natural Foods is what every corer store should be. Good variety, reasonable prices, open late, and a very friendly staff. They have a wide selection of snacks, cheeses, ice cream, and beer and beverages, plus all your basic grocery, produce, and home goods covered. Been going here for over ten years and its hands down the best corner store in Prospect Heights.

2015-02-19The staff is friendly and helpful and their selection of goods is wide. Weve lived in the neighborhood before and after the refurbishment: the change is dramatic. Its a neighborhood center where one in known by name. They have fresh vegetables daily and their dairy selection rivals some supermarkets. In fact, on milk prices, they are better than the local supermarkets by as much as a $1 a half gallon.

2016-01-03Very nice little grocery store. You might not find what you need here, but, you might find something else you need. The owners are very nice and so are the staff people. Very helpful, clean and the prices are fair. I often run here for something I need such as milk (very good price on organic milk certainly cheaper than KeyFood on Flatbush, ugh), chips, 2 liter soda, Annies cheddar bunnies, bread, fruit, etc.I wish they were a full size market because they carry a good variety as a small grocer and I like the way they run their business -- fair and professional. Happy to have them two blocks away.

2018-06-28This place is on my block and I was so happy to have it. Then one night I asked for a pack of Camel Lights. He said he didn’t have any. So I asked for whatever was comparable. The guy gave me a pack of green American Spirits which turned out to be menthol. I came back immediately (once I lit up) and told him his mistake. I asked to switch out the pack. He refused during a full 10 minute argument. I have never been in the position to have my neighborhood place refuse to make it right. I didn’t expect it to be a problem especially since it was so soon after the purchase. He admitted that he didn’t know he gave me menthols but that “I should have known” even though he agreed it wasn’t obvious from the packaging.I don’t know what to do. He knows I live on the block and didn’t care. So I guess that’s its for me. I wish I had a convenience store that cared about its neighbors.

2018-01-08Will never step foot in this overpriced corner store again. The Owners have the old mentality that if you are black you may take something or maybe your not worth a proper greeting when entering their business. I really tried my best to ignore the pure racist attitudes of the Owners, but one Sunday with my arms loaded with produce the owner decided that three customers deep he would prefer to take the white customer. She protested strongly that there were others in front of her (two black customers) to no avail he began ringing her items in. I protested, but he the very tall dark east Indian man just ignored me as though I was invisible. I placed my items down and exited. Checked my expenses for the year and discovered that I had spent $3,200 in that store for the 2017 year. Well i guess they wont have my business for the 2018 and forward years.

2019-01-18Addicted to their avocados! In all seriousness, glad this store is in my neighborhood. Looks can be deceiving although it’s small, they have everything. If you can’t find something just ask one of their staff and odds are they have it. They even keep a suggestion box at the front for special requests. Other Brooklyn stores take notes!!
