I WENT TO HIT THE TRACK AND SUNBATHE! ITS ALWAYS CLEAN AND DURING THE DAY NOT CROWDED
I work with the mobile testing unit at this park for a couple of days .. our vans have no bathrooms and everyday is bathrooms for the park is closed around 1 pm
Clean well lit sports courts. There are 12 handball courts, one side is fully lit, the other side partially. Good players mostly any time, easy to pick up a game at all levels of play.
Beautiful facility, staff are friendly. Skaterobics is a great work out...

Great park. All types activities to do for the little ones. There are swings enough not jus two or three. A huge brown bridge for kids to run across. So much room to run around. Theres real place for toddlers though this park is for, Id say 5 and up. And its alot of things you can climb in swing on. Its a real nice park . Plz enjoy. Oh they sprinklers as well and a place to play with sand for the little ones.enjoy
Nice area in the neighborhood that allows for lots of exercise. Open field for soccer and football practice which is ongoing now that the weather is warming up! Also a track for those who want to walk/run. There is an area with handball courts and an adjacent playground for the little ones. Lots to do and see!
There is track, racket ball,✋ handball, 🏀 basketball, football, and soccer field ⚽️There is playground for the kids. Benches, tables and chairs to eat at. Bathrooms on site. Its clean and no bad things go on there.

Watched nephew play touch football today. Park was nice, first time there. Plenty of space.Not over crowded. Restrooms closed early. Nearby delis were closed. Place was over all pretty clean. Entrance was on Bergen side. Parking was great (Sunday).

Nice park with tennis walls, basketball ball courts and a soccer field. The water fountains work and sometimes you can get lucky and find an entertaining ball game to watch
This park is complete: if you will draw a square and cut it into four squares by placing cross in the middle___then, I will tell you, the top left is soccer field, the bottom is huge baseball field. The top right has 12 basketball courts, and handball courts on its left. The bottom right is infants, juveniles, and teens children park while in the middle between them and the courts is a recreation center with a pool, gym, Pilate/yoga room, computer room. I called this park The Whole Package Park of Brooklynites❤️
Great to hit the park for a weekend jog, and or run. Early mornings you can find a homeless person or two trying to rest/sleep

Well despite its a field for baseball...now it looks like a dog park. Despite we not allowed to bring dogs in because of the signs. Dog parents should clean up after there dog and be mindful people come here to do sports. Or else they wouldnt be putting in there own chain to keep dogs out.
Theres an awesome total body workout class here on Wednesday at 6:30pm. The instructor does modifications and is so upbeat and motivating!Im trying to change my schedule so that I can attend more frequently! What a gem in my neighborhood.The best part is the class is FREE! But Im a member so I get to enjoy the other classes and the POOL!

Great place to hold a softball tournament two fields right next to each other as well a track around the fields to run and get a little workout in would recommend if u have a leauge to run for softball if they give you the permits

Great park to visit, its quiet during the day. It has a great field with soccer goals, 2 baseball fields, basketball courts and handball courts. The only reason Im not giving it 5 stars is because at night the neighborhood kids hang out in the field and leave trash all over. The Parks Dept should be keeping the park clean and i shouldnt have to pick up other peoples trash when I visitthe park.

My experience at St Johns Park its phenomenal because I live right in the front I am on Troy Avenue and Saint Johns place so I go to St Johns Park to work out its the best park to go and exercise

Very nice park for young children next to a soccer field and track field.
Nice park, clean and have lots of trees. There is two play areas with swings for the little kids and the big kids to play in. Theres even a sand dome for the toddlers. Overall its a beautiful park
This is a park that I went to all my life nothing but family
I never knew about this place. I saw online that this Recreation center have a Shape- up new york classes. I went to a class and it was great , the instructor gives a full body workout . These classes are free so and anyone can attend them.
Beautiful park. Turf field. You might think you might get some people you dont want to see in that area, but that is not the case or at least everyone just came out for sweat and doesnt bother troubling people. Seemed very clean. I will definitely be heading back there.
Nice enough little park. Lots of benches for relaxing. Handball and baseball area. Good place for kids to run around and play but keep an eye on them as its still Brooklyn.
Not bad compared to other city parks. The area is not well lit. The kids in the area seemed to be enjoying themselves.

I used to go here when I was a child even up until my teenage years. Now they have made great improvements to the park which are great!
This park is one of few that you can enjoy a beautiful sunny day under the trees cooling down enjoying a hot day outside you can ride your bike,,walk in the tracks,play soccer,baseball,handball, basketball or just sit in different areas of the park but the most favorite spots is at the table and chairs you can have a picnic n play checkers which is in the center of the park...its been renovated to suit to everyones needs and enjoyment St Johns park is an awesome park.!!!!
So many great activities and classes here from arts & crafts to fitness. I love my Skaterobics class, which is held here on Sundays. Best thing that I ever stumbled upon! 😊💕
Came here for a Movies under the stars showing. It was nice. Well lit and calm. Not like some other urban parks in Brooklyn. Popcorn and water was served to movie watching guests for free. One warning though, if you are going to watch a movie under the stars here, do not sit close to speakers lime I did. They are quite loud.
They are working on some improvements to the rec center.The park is usually dirty, with food all over the ground. City needs to invest more money into this particular park.Im glad they have been a bit more dog friendly.Major criticism: why can we not use the baseball field? its always locked up, the only people allowed to use it are the people who dont even live in the area.
It is a great park for the local neighborhood. It has basketball courts a soccer pitch attract the recreation center, which house is an indoor basketball court on the 3rd floor, a pool on the first floor, 25 meters. There are also classes at this recreational center. Theres also a computer center at this Recreational Center. There are wall ball Courts at this park and it is a really nice place to be in the evening when all of the locals come together and play basketball.

Some of the staff rush to close the rest rooms early so they can go home early on pay days &,when they just dont feel like being their they need to change up their seasonal staff
Big park, I was only on the handball courts and its very lit at night. Theres a track and field nearby to get some run in and play. Etc. Definitely check it out. There are alot of parts to it that I didnt get to check out.

GIVING VALUABLE INFORMATION TOO NEW JOINING MEMBERS . I MOSTLY LIKE THE CHILDRENS AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS THAT GOES ON IN ALL PARKS DEPARTMENT ALL OVER THE CITY.

Decent park. However, there are no night lights so when the sun goes down there are no lights in the park. Go at night at your own risk. Gentrification is not going to assist...
The park finally has the rest rooms open and it really great where they have them . Im so happy about it and love hanging out in the park its relaxing.

The gym has been closed for over a year for renovations that was supposed to take less then 6 months and is scheduled to reopen April 27, 2019. We shall see what took so long.
Really great location for various types of exercise and to take the kids , more need to be done with the amount of persons smoking in the park however.
The Service Is As Fast As 2 Be Expected and The Breakfast Meals Are Still Tasteful, Great Homemade Lemonade.
Learning to swim there
Love it. NYC has its share of seedy parks. This isnt one of them. Ive lived across the street since early 2015 and theres so much awesome community activity here.On the weekday mornings old folks get out in a shady spot on the handball courts and do Tai-Chi or aerobics.Over the summer kids are playing basketball from 7am to midnight. Never any fighting just playing ball.On the weekends theres a youth athletic league that puts out food and refs basketball games. Theres also an adult softball league that tailgates and BBQs with their families.Thats not to mention the pee-wee football and soccer practice going on during the weekday nights.On Eid Muslims in the area dress up and walk a sort of Tawaf around the track in back while saying prayers.Cant say enough good things about how the community uses this park.
I love just walking around the park and watching the children and people enjoying themselves, its a nice place to visit.

This park has come a long way from where it was 20 years ago but a lot of people use it and are not cooperative when told teams have permits to play on the field

2022-02-24There were a lot of kids in the park. Very big area for the kids to play. However the sand pit needs to be cleaned and the bathroom was closed of really early. Other than that the kids had a lot of fun.

2018-10-23St. Johns Park COULD be a GREAT playground but it is NOT. The reasons? Sloppy maintenance and a lack of attention to detail. Here is why:- soccer goals lack nets- no soccer goals for children- or youth teams- bathrooms locked, you have to go into the bushes. Why are bathrooms LOCKED on a Saturday morning at 10am?- WiFi didnt work. WiFi showed up in list of WiFi networks but we were not able to log on.- running track has narrow corners. Anybody who is a regular runner knows that narrow corners like these will kill your joints- no floodlights+ good turf+ relatively easy street parking on weekends in the morning

2020-11-02Always an oasis of zen and shade when you need to rest and take in the neighborhood. There is also a bathroom thats usually clean in front of the playground thats open til 4pm most days.
