St. Joseph Hospital in other cities:
Arrived at hospital emergency room with pain and eye damage. I am very grateful to the emergency personnel for the medical assistance provided to me. Patient care is very well organized. The staff is friendly, attentive and highly qualified. Special thanks to RA Mearna Mleik, Very talented and highly qualified. Thanks, A+++++
The worst health unit , they release my wife the same day after a hernia surgery my wife could barely move did not gibe her anything for the pain while she was there the nurses dont care about the pasient they just spend the time shutting each other and on top of that they cahrge my CC 3 times over the amount for tv service
One of the worst visits ever. Waited 3 hrs in the waiting room, just to wait another 3 on a stretcher in the walkway just for them to guess what was wrong. 6 hrs and all they did was give tylenol, took the temp twice and checked blood pressure. Then said go home and wait for the results online. Its been 30 hrs and still no results!!!3 days later..we are still waiting for the covid test results. Worst hospital ever
Clean, efficient, friendly and happy staff. Everyone treated us well. Diagnosis came quickly after minimal testing. Explanation and treatment provided, information for follow up and we were out in reasonable time. ER doctor gave us his cell number in case of further questions or issues as it was the holiday weekend. St Joseph has become an excellent hospital again.
If I could give more stars I would. I’ve been to their emergency room twice and the experience has been so good that it almost makes me want to go back to the hospital. I’d like to thank ALL of the staff, from registration, ER nurses, ER doctors, other ER staff, the “transporters,” staff on other floors, and pretty much everyone in this hospital. Everyone is polite and they help you and try to accommodate you to the best of their capabilities.I am glad I went there even though some negative reviews had me think about it twice. I couldn’t be happier and more satisfied with the job they did both times.
The worst surgical aftercare in recovery. Had a kidney stone removed. It was in the recovery room that was the worst experience I’ve ever had. Sat in urine till I left surgery was at 11done by noon and sat in urine till I left after 5 pm. I asked the nurse to please change the sheets and she put an additional pad and blanket which soaked up the urine underneath only to be sitting in urine. This went on 3 times then the 4 th time a different nurse changed the sheets. I had a stent put in which didn’t allow me to have control I was asked by the male nurse if I was born in the states. Yep born here and so was my mom grew up “hells kitchen” ..! I cried in pain what seemed to be eternity was 1 hour of screaming at one point making other patients nervous. I was finally given ibuprofen which took the swelling n pain away almost instantlyThe patient across from me was videotaping me on her phone. Btw you can have your phone with you in the recovery room. I was asked by the male nurse “why are you here” . Hello please tell me your kidding don’t you guys read the charts. Finally upon leaving the lady who assisted me in leaving we’re making comments to another employee “ get ‘em in and get ‘em out as fast as possible..!!! It was sinful and had I read the review which has a 3 star rating I would have gone to Manhasset.. Northwell. Please use a different hospital even for the common procedure or surgery. My experience was atrocious..! Reason I used this hospital was due to my surgeon works out of this hospital. I’m 58 yrs old.Female.
I recently spent 3 days as a patient in the infusion unit and I can’t say enough about it and the staff! It is a gem!It was like I was at a 5 star hotel!I’m pretty sure the name of the head nurse, Michelle and her staff made an uncomfortable experience into a first rate experience. It’s no fun getting an infusion for 10 hours ( and I’ve had my share in various hospitals) but this was like no other I experienced and I cannot say enough about it!Thanks!
I had an Ambulatory Outpatient procedure on July 30 2021 All of the staff , RNs and doctors were beyond Excellent - Dr. Richard Rubin is the best!I just want to highlight RN Melanie Torres whom was my RN after the procedure ( Recovery) Melanie was beyond Excellent with my careover and beyond professional and very caring Was with me all the time and she did an excellent discharge of me right to my car pick upMelanie, I wish you all the best you really are beyond the BEST !Thank You !!!Dominic
The absolute worst. My father was in this hospital for TWO WEEKS, in a series of four different units, someone was there to visit him every single day - and we saw/met a total of maybeee two nurses. The entire time. No one communicates anything with family. Not the nursing staff, not doctors, anything. I am VERY disappointed with the level of care he received, the level of comfort he and we were given, and feel he left worse off than he arrived. At their fault. Team of social workers is equally horrible to medical staff when it comes to communication. He was discharged to a rehab facility... we weren’t even given any instruction on where he was going - had to drive around to four different buildings to find where he belonged. Were not told we would not be able to go in and settle him, nor did they tell us he was being put on a FOURTEEN DAY QUARANTINE!!!! Thanks for nothing, social workers, and for infuriating and upsetting myself and my entire family. Do NOT bring ANYONE you love to this hospital as they will receive the worst care and treatment of their life.
This hospital released my father from the hospital with a severe case of celluitis several months ago. He has never recovered and will not go anywhere else because he used to go there for issues back in the 80’s we brought him back today after he was unable to walk and screaming in pain. This hospital now is telling him to leave even tho he is screaming in pain ! We beged this hospital to keep him at the very least over night but they won’t.
My wife has been brought here multiple times for life-threatening conditions, and he has always been diagnosed and treated by skilled, compassionate, and professional staff. The life of a loved one vs a soiled floor? For me, this is a no-brainer. Continue to do an excellent job! There are no issues! All of you are appreciated! Big thanks to Rosa she was a doll.
We recently had to take my young son to the emergency room because he needed stitches. The security guard, staff, nurse, xray technician and doctor were wonderful!! They took him right in and everyone was so kind and caring. I really appreciate how they took such good of my son. Thank you!!
Emergency Room staff were excellent, kudo’s to Christie for picking up what four Dr’s missed.Shoutout to Maryana, Tyrone, Kim & Julia for taking such great care of my husband once he was admitted. These are the people who should have received bailout money from our Government, not the Teachers Unions who were hands off during the Pandemic; but rather the Hero’s who risked their lives as well as their Family’s.You were all wonderful, thank you; from the bottom of my grateful heart!
I don’t usually post review but I felt it was necessary. My name is conception Benitez I had surgery on January 8, 2021 I had a very bad experience with them. Ever since I was left in my room after surgery ; they did not come to observe me at all for 4 - 6 hours I had a lot of pain even puked all over myself I rang the bell for assistance over 50 times I even tried calling a hotline number that was on a notice on the wall I tried to call my doctor over the phone they already had closed the office. When I finally reached someone it was an operator who does not work in the hospital. What I regret not doing was to call 911 they would’ve attended me faster until finally the maintenance staff found me and called for help. That was only the first day, that shift was in the morning. The Night shift staff was somewhat comfortable but when the morning shift began it was just as I explain I told them I had lots of pain she return five hours later when her shift was almost over telling me that she forgot to come to me because she was dealing with a smoking patient. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. I had a similar procedure at a different hospital and it’s a huge difference. Please look elsewhere ! God bless
My husband has been admitted several times here with life threatening issues and each time he was diagnosed & treated with competent, kind, patient & professional staff. A loved ones life vs a dirty floor? No brained for me! Keep up the great work! No complaints here! Thank you to ALL!
Sitting here waiting to get a XRay and 3 people are really sick they think with Covid and they all sitting in the emergency room waiting room! No one is isolated nor does the staff care. They said they can’t do anything everyone must wait! Great spread the Covid ST Joseph’s hospital,
Nursing Supervisor Surgical Unit I’m sorry I took so to contact you.I was a patient from May 17 to May 21,2020. I had total hip replacement. The nurses on the surgical unit were excellent showing lots of care and they were very kind and offered assistance whenever needed. I especially want you to know how wonderful the assistants were especially Hyacinth and Leonie. They offered help in every possible way when it was necessary, without my having to ask. They are all to be commended for their excellent service. I would not hesitate to recommend your hospital. Thank you..
Amazing! I came in because I wasn’t feeling well, turned out my gallbladder was infected. From the moment I walked in I was happy I came here. The place is super clean, and very well decorated. I want to give a big thanks too, Nicole, Robinson, JC, Megan, Emily, Marco, Almida, Patt, Dave, Andrew, Marie D, the student PA, and anyone I forgot to mention. If you’re looking for a hospital that treats you like VIP, this place is the place to be. Comfortable, clean, friendly staff, informative doctors. This is a place that truly cares about a person overall health and would go above and beyond for you. 👏🏽❤️❤️❤️
I took my wife to the ER for stomach problems. After the CT scan the doctor came back saying to her that she has in numerous tumors on her lungs liver pancreas and etc. Next morning my wife couldn’t talk from the shock . The doctor didn’t even feel that was important to handle the situation differently . She died in 2 weeks . I understand that she died because she was sick but I don’t understand how a doctor walks in the room and gives these news to someone without thinking that there is a human in front of him. Nothing was more shocking than the attitude and the way he was talking to her. I hope no human even himself doesn’t experience something like this. The visit was 05/22/2019
I was there tonight (unfortunately) for an abscess in my mouth. I was belittled by the ER physician, he mocked me because I’m missing a few teeth, used fowl language (cursing during our conversation like I’m one of his buddies). Asked what I did for work and when I told him, he was extremely rude and questioned me, like he didn’t believe me. I work for the DOH. Disgusting behavior. I’m mortified and upset. Never in my life have I EVER been spoken to in such a way by a medical professional. Staff is so insensitive and unprofessional. Maybe some sensitivity training would do them good. I’d hate to see anyone else treated in such a way! As I was waiting to be seen I heard one of the female staff say, “Why’d they give us a patient with dental pain”? WHAT?!?!!Unbelievable!!!
Went Friday 1/29/21 for some chest pain. Walked into ER did EKG, took blood pressure..no Covid test. Told to wait in waiting room for almost an hour had no room. Finally got a hallway bed, put heart monitor on. No bloodwork or x-ray for about 2hrs, thats when they did the Covid test. A little late, could have been exposed to the virus ..Overhead someone came up covid positive as I was in front of nurses station. Thankfully, doctor was nice. Nurse that took my blood was mean and short with me. Decided it was muscular not cardio and to follow up with my doctor. Felt an echo should have been done at least. My parents liked this hospital but my experience was not pleasant.
Yesterday I had the unfortunate opportunity to visit St. Josephs hospital in Bethpage NY for an Emergency visit for my mother. My mother is an 83 year old woman with many health issues, that being said she has only left our house three during Covid, all for doctor visits. I EXPECTED an emergency room visit, especially now to be extremely sanitary. That was not the case. I will spare you the details publicly of the treatment we received there, but will share the pictures with you.
At Joseph has a staff that so kind and professional. Victor, Michelle in the ER and Kaitlyn, Danielle make sure you’re happy. Everyone says hello, Mile the transport guy was amazing. You can ask anyone for help no one makes you feel unwanted. A very peaceful environment .
I went in for knee replacement surgery. Great hospital, great staff. Pre surgical testing staff was incredible, covid tester terrific, pre op staff, so great. The nurse assigned to me in pre op saw how nervous i was and she calmed me down. Anesthesiology staff were great. One anesthesiologist explained it, a nurse anesthetist explained it and then Dr. Cook introduced himself and explained it too.Walking into the operating suite was scary but even though the staff in the suite are used to dealing with people that are asleep, they were so calming before i was asleep.1 south nurses and nursing assistants couldn’t be nicer. I had a nice conversation with Karen the PT.And before i forget, Dr. Owens must have done a great job. Same day post op 8/3 i had no pain at all. Today 8/4 it aches a little bit i guess partly because the nerve block is wearing off and partly because cutting into a knee should hurt.I’m real optimistic that my recovery will be speedy. Thanks for maintaining a great hospital so close to home.
Had a total hip replacement a week ago. Every single person who took care of me from the pre-op team to the discharge was absolutely amazing: kind, caring, attentive, answered all my questions.I was hesitant based on some of the not quite so positive reviews, but my experience was nothing but positive. Thank you, St. Josephs!
My father was brought in after an episode of syncope/collapse and was found to have covid. He lives alone and was later found that he had multiple episodes over the weekend with loss of consciousness his blood pressure on arrival was 84/62 and was supposed to be kept under observation. He was discharged after they stabilized him for 3 hrs and came home to dangerously low blood pressure again. How dare you people call yourselves health care providers. Absolutely disgusting!!!!
The staff is professional and courteous for the most part, though they could have checked in a little more. The reason for the rating is that the hospital was covered by my insurance, but not the doctorS (with a capital S!), leaving me with a large bill I will have problems paying for. They left me for half a day extra in the emergency room until they found a room for me. This compounded costs and got a nurse angry at me.Additionally, they entered my name wrong in the system, then delayed tests to correct it, to insure that I would have no problems with insurance. This delayed tests to the following Monday and extended the stay unnecessarily. Unfortunately, the name correction was wrong, and later found out that the address was also. Im sure I will get additional bills later as a result.I think we need full disclosure laws in hospitals also. So be careful.
I went there in the middle of the night for severe pains and they made me wait almost two hours to let me in the ER. The staff there is nice but certainly not attentive in a timely manner. I asked for more blankets and more pain medication multiple times from both the doctor and the nurse. I understand they are busy but they could take the extra minute to give the patient what they requested without making me wait 45 minutes. Especially because the doctor knew I was having horrible anxiety and kept telling him every time he checked on me that I’m in agonizing pain and to please bring me more medicine. Towards the end of my visit, I was given a new nurse before discharge. Her name was Margaret and she was very attentive to me the last 30 minutes I was there. If you have the option to go to another hospital for ER care, don’t go to this one!
My wife went in with a severely sprained ankle. They took her temp and BP, then told us it would be several hours before she could see a doctor. We told the resptiionist we were leaving to go somewhere else to get her help. We understood they had an emergency at the time, but had they told us up front about the wait we would have left. They tried to charge us $877.00 which we would not pay. They then put it through our insurance and brought the charge to $300.00. We finally paid because they went to collections and I dont need the BS.They are abuch of blood sucking thief s. Stay far away from them its all about the money not the service. I also wish I could give a zero rating as I have read in other reviews,I think they should be looked at for unfair practice to the relation of services rendered.
My father is 87 and he was having difficulty walking, which we thought was just a progression of his age and underlying health issues. He then became confused and it we decided to call an ambulance and have him taken to the ER. The only hospital we could get him to was St. Josephs. The ER was quiet and clean. The staff was wonderful and they had his scans and bloodwork done in no time. His potassium was dangerously high and his kidneys were failing. My initial reaction was to transfer him to St. Francis but I was advised against it due to his condition. I reluctantly agreed. He was admitted a few hours later, had breathing issues and it turned out to be influenza causing all of his problems and for which he was admitted to CCU. The CCU staff are amazing. They got his potassium levels back to normal and his kidneys functioning better within two days. They continue to support him on a vent while treating this flu. They are unbelievably attentive and caring to my father as well as our family. They saved my fathers life. Dont let the size of the hospital or bad reviews fool you. I work with doctors for a living so I have a little insight on various hospitals. We are usually at the bigger hospitals like St. Francis and NY Presbyterian in Manhattan and must tell you that this has been the best hospital experience we have ever had. Perhaps theyre not too crowded like other hospitals but the care he is getting there far exceeds any other hospital we have been to and we are so grateful that he is in such good hands there. I would go to this hospital myself in a heartbeat! We give this hospital and the staff full recommendation because they have been nothing less than excellent and extremely caring!
This hospital is absolutely abysmal. From long wait times during a late night when nobody seems that busy as they go about laughing and snickering. The staff is very unprofessional. We could have waited in the waiting room but were pulled to wait in the bedding area surrounded by snoring coughing wheezing and more laughing. This whole time my fiance is simply just in need of gauze and antibiotics (which the doctor confirmed with us in two minutes after making us wait an hour) now to wait even longer as her gauze from home are now barely able to absorb any blood theyre so soaked.I understand when a hospital is busy. But when you are hanging around with other doctors and nurses laughing and conversing while were sitting there, it looks very unprofessional and leaving patients in an anxiety ridden environment rather than in a quiet calmer waiting room is awful.
The emergency room had little patients as we arrived second ones to sign in, the nurse whom seem to check everyone in took a long time to register everyone. Personally didn’t seem to care, also took every other patient before us. We actually left to go to another hospital after waiting for about an hour. We choose to go here because it Happen to be close by, however my family being nurses doctors x ray tects would never be so unorganized and lack compassion. I understand some have more serve emergencies than others how ever the lack of communication compassion and professionalism is why we left. I can’t speak for others but this was the poorest hospitality I’ve ever seen at a hospital. If I could give no stars I personally would. Need to get it together that is absolutely shocking and ridiculous.
Just left st. Joseph’s and have some wonderful things to say. Today was a nightmare. My dog had bitten my son. He definitely needed a plastic surgeon but my insurance doesn’t really care about that kind of stuff. The attending physician Pam advocated for us and found us one that would work with us. The woman is amazing. She wouldn’t take no for an answer. The nurses and pa’s were all attentive and helpful. Dr Sayed was amazing. He stitched him up and the fact that he put his patient above money means the world to us. I can’t say enough nice things about him. The other plastic surgeon was rude abrupt and unforgiving when it came to my son. Very happy with this visit! I must say there are angels in that hospital and they all helped us today!
We were in the emergency room last night at St. Joseph (our local hospital) for an urgent drainage of an abscess. We were put through quickly with a pain index of 7. The location of the abscess was hard for us to talk about without feeling uncomfortable but the two PAs and the doctor made us feel very comfortable. The procedure was done well, and we were quickly discharged. No issues, so thank you to the ED staff working Wednesday night on 6/12/19.
The biggest problem with this hospital is the staff. Ive been both a patient and a volunteer in the ER, and while a few members of the staff are friendly and helpful, many are apathetic to patients in need, and some are even outright mean to patients and volunteers alike. Being a volunteer, you eventually learn who to trust and who is out to make you miserable, but unfortunately patients do not have this luxury. Quitting was a decision I made based on how I was treated by these people.
Absolutely terrible experience. I went to the ER for horrible back, stomach, and chest pains. After the nurse took my vitals, I waited in the waiting room for about 30 minutes (empty), and was taken to another window to get my insurance information. I told them I was uninsured and they told me that the self-pay rate of $450 covers everything (Ive heard this before). I sat in a bed for 3 hours before anyone came, all while watching the nurses hang Christmas decorations because the department with the nicest decorations gets a pizza party. There was a woman next to me crying in pain and the nurses kept saying well get to you. At a certain point I didnt know if the nurses heard her because she was mumbling, so I walked to the nurses stand to tell them, and they gave me an incredible attitude. A doctor spent about 10 minutes total time with me. After it was determined to be not serious, I was cut loose (about 5 hours after I first got there). As Im leaving I paid the $450 fee, and the woman told me oh, theres going to be a small physicians fee that will be mailed to you. Today I got a bill for $550... a total scam! Combine this with the time that they misdiagnosed a muscle strain as a hematoma on my leg, I will NEVER go back to this hospital, ever. Even though Im Christian I would much rather go to LIJ, never once had a bad experience with them.
I was pleasantly surprised how amazing all the staff were! I am a RN for the past 25 years and always have high expectations and the St Joseph team surpassed my expectations!! Ty for your kindness compassion and expertise! I always go to a North well but after this experience I will only go to St. Joseph’s! I highly recommend this place to everyone!!
I rather die on my way to Winthrop, than go to st. Joseph’s hospital. I had blood taken. Well almost! The doctor stabbed my arm 5 times and couldn’t hit a vein. I had to tell her to stop. I’ve had blood taken 30 or so times in my life and have never had an experience like st Joseph’s hospital, complete disaster. Many moons ago it was the only hospital I would go to. Now I refuse. They’ve messed me up too many times! The place is super dirty too! No good!
We just came back from the ER at this hospital. It was an awful, horrendous experience. The PA doctor was unknowledgeable. He suggest we apply ice pack instead of hot compression. The head doc corrected him. It took us 4 hours to get a sonogram, no exaggeration! We reminded them several times that we’ve been waiting for a long time. They said that we have to wait. Mind you there were just 2 ppl ahead of me going in. It’s just very poor managed hospital. You can tell the lack of attention from outdated equipment and env of the hospital. It’s been almost 7 hours and we’re home now with no clear cause or explanation of our problem. We just left after 6 hours of no service. We were wrong to think this place would provide good and quick service. I guess that explains why there’s no line at the ER when initially going in. Don’t waste your time. Go elsewhere.Next day after the above review: my wife’s Doctor said that they misdiagnosed her and should have given her antibiotics for the infection. So she suffered through the whole night bc there was an incompetent doctor in the ER. I’m going to consult my lawyer about this incident. This is not how ppl should be treated.
Horrible experience ER nurses could care less. Been here over 7 hours. In more pain now then when I came in. No food no water pain meds when I first came in wore off hours ago been asking for more for the past hour & a half. Nurses ignore you I had to get out of bed 5 times to get anything. They are too busy talking about who got engaged who got drunk & I can tell you their entire lives but they were too busy to remember to order me a ct scan. Stay away!
HORRIBLE STAFF!! Avoid this hospital if you can. Especially Dr. Jasmin. She was VERY INSENSITIVE speaking to my Uncle about my Aunt who is dying. Very rude! She needs to go back to school for bedside manners! Seriously. If youre passionate about your job then you need to know how to speak with people already going through such difficult times. The nurses were also very UNcaring to my dying Aunt. The alarm on the heart monitor was going off and my Aunt was in SO much pain. When my Uncle approached one of the nurses, she gave him an attitude and said I just got back from lunch. Like ok, there are better ways to say that instead of choosing to speak that way. Once my Aunt was assigned to a room, they refused to change her sheets and AGAIN with an attitude, Thats not my job. Wow... Im just so upset at how not just one staff member was rude but SEVERAL. This needs to change IMMEDIATELY. Practice better people skills, have sympathy and bedside manners! I hope you take this review seriously. People who are going through hard times DO NOT need to be treated like this. They need to reflect those attitudes somewhere else and treat others as if theyre their own relatives. TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED. SIMPLE.
Hospitals are not the best places to be but the team of doctors at St Josephs were amazing. My dad came in through emergency and even though they were super busy, he was attended to and immediately stabilized. He was moved to ICU which was immaculate and under constant direct care of extremely helpful and friendly nurses and doctors. Very impressive.
The staff charged me $1,000 for a 1 hour stay that I did not ask for. They did absolutely nothing but ask me why I was taken in. From there, it was their understanding that I couldnt pay to stay at the hospital, but one of the workers attempted using tactics to get me to stay and spend my money. I explained to them that I was forcedly taken to the ER by my employers who wouldnt take no for an answer because after I clocked out from work, I took a long nap in the backroom because my tummy was hurting. I was afraid to lose my job, so I did what they said. The EMT team who got me was legitimately screaming at me, and telling me I have no choice. Upon getting to the hospital, it was proven I wasnt on drugs or going insane. All I did was take a nap. If my employers didnt want me napping in the backroom, they could have said that nicely and I would have left. Having someone or a business getting payment for a service that was never desired at someone elses expense is called unjust enrichment in contract law and is grounds for a legitimate lawsuit to cover the costs of the bill. You need to issue the bill to the people who wanted me to be hospitalized in the first place. Not to the person thats getting hospitalized. Especially if I and many people are aware that I am in no position to pay. Im a cashier. Where am I going to get $1,000 from?
Besides how completely filthy this place is, they made me leave my 71 y/o mother go to the lobby to use my phone when telling my aunt about my mother falling. Also she was in the ER for HOURS waiting for a room and my sister and I wanted to both talk to the doctors yet security said only one person was allowed and made one wait in the lobby. On top of not accommodating the patients Just look at the floors In this place and the bathrooms! Gross!
All The Staff were AMAZING . I broke my ankle and had surgery. I was hospitalized for a week.Starting with the doctors and nurses in the ER, and the. The nurses on my care specially Linda, Sunita, Olive, Marie. They were all amazing and compassionate. Very sweet and professional. This hospital is better than any big hospital in Manhattan by FAR.
I sat in the E.R with my brother for 3 hours. The whole time the E.R staff was dealing with an older special needs gentleman. They were not prepared to handle him. He was very repetitive, demanding, and at sometimes aggressive. They never called security for assistance. They got short with him when he asked the same questions over and over. And made jokes about him getting put in a room or being put with other patients to get him away from them. They seemed to never take into account that he needed more attention or explanation then the average patient. While I can understand the amount of stress they are under I find it hard to believe that theyve never had training with these kind of patients. The care my brother received was wha teee you would expect from a hospital but it makes me uncomfortable that they cant adapt to dealing with a special needs patient
This like many long south shore hospitals have no common sense and no standards of communication .Problem 1 communicationFathera admitted on thursday for stroke symptoms. They did ct scan and gave no definitive answer as to what was wrong. Stated MRI to be done on Friday morn and possibly released Friday. Was not completed till sat afternoon. 2 day of staying in hospital with no diagnosis and evidently no one even knew whom who would have answers to question. 5 doctors, and and none of them seemed to have a brain stem. I dont mind waiting after a stroke, but a diagnosis and hypothesis should have been formulated and if they wanted to keep patient and knew they were going to do so, then that fact should have been made clear. MRI should have been performed much sooner ad that was finally led to diagnosis of ministroke.Problem 2 - communication doctors never reached out me to discuss MRI. As per discussion they were to call me to tell me findings. I did not even get call from hospital to release .my father caledl me on cell phone.Problem 3Additionally when I asked for documents, scans and reports they stated they could not give me that I had to use web portal. I said ok what is info such as username and password to do do. No one kmew. They said they would get info and write it down. When I returned the paper had user name but no password. Nurses stated that my father and nurse must have set that up and he has it. Spoke to my father he did not set up, so no one know who did So now I have a username and no password. The nurses stated just click forgot password. Well that would be great but then when you do that it asks you for data like your first pet which obviously I would not know nor would my father as we did not set up. There attitude was well too bad. I refused to check him out till I got that info, but initial we were back to that lack of brain stem problem. When I asked who knows password, I got I dont know from staff. Really? OK so now I had to put questions in the form that you would for a child. So then I asked ok who knows, i dont know was the answer. Went to desk and spoke to head nurse and was forgiven same- put in password . When I explained that you need data, they said well we never used sytem from end user side.I finally asked to talk to IT and then finally a nurse at desk used her brain and said hey I can reset password.. nobody could have thought about initially? And this the intellect that they have treating people. When you have the dumbest of the dumb in society overseeing critical things, its scary. It is not unreasonable to expect communication, diagnosis and a method of reviewing the information gathered by tests and in timely fashion. The bill for 3 days in hospital is probably exceeding 20k. Any other business would be out of business for performing with such shoddy communication and expediency. Typical bureaucratic institution. A bettter procedure for information. Diessmniation needs to be instituted and a chain of command clearly communicated and employees betterSaint Joseph is one of the better rated hospitals on the South shore of Long Island but that does not mean it is good. However looking at the choices that are available it may be still your best option.
I want to point out the amazing experience i had when i brought my mother in to the emergency room. Everone was very attentive, caring, and they had her inside in a bed within 5 minutes of checking her in. Once inside immediatelt got pain medication, and within 5 min the Doctor came to check on the issue. It trully is outstanding patient experience. God bless the Doctors, Nurses, and staff for making my mom feel special in a desperate time.
Terrible staff!!! The incompetency of this place is mind blowing. My grandmother has been here twice now, since it is nearest to where she lives, and they are incapable of coming up with any diagnosis or treatment plan. The first visit she had they misdiagnosed her stroke has onset of dementia and as a result she never received the treatment she needed. Now the situation is even worse and they just shrug their shoulders and say shes frail. Shes not even 70 yet!! They also sent her home the first time with a massive UTI that had began to turn into sepsis. Three months later and the infection has returned with a vengeance and they act like they cant be bothered with it. If proper treatment doesnt happen soon we will seek treatment else where and they will be sued.
This has been the most horrible experience. I have been sitting in pain for over 5 hours the nurse came in once the whole time. I think they are more interested in hanging out at the nurses station laughing and playing around then helping patients. I will never come back here and recommend that everyone stays away. Good job staff at st Joseph you suck
My mother had a minor stroke so I took her to the e.r. here at 12am and I understand the doctors are very busy, but when they came to treat my mother he was being very rude and unprofessional. He asked her questions about what happened and about previous medical records which some of the questions asked she couldnt couldnt answer instantly(keep in mind she is quite disoriented), so the doctor just replies with a nasty attitude. After waiting until 11am the next morning I came to the conclusion the staff we dealt with didnt care about their patients and lacked the technology and skill to perform their work. It seems like all they cared about is billing the expenses to our insurance company. This place needs an investigation of the staff and the way they operate.
I will never recommend ER to my friends and loved ones. It always take 2 to 3 hrs before a patient will be examined. One time diarrhea turned to Urinary infection because the patient was not examined or cleaned after 2 1/2 hrs. The stool went inside the vagina. There are more snob staffs than the good ones. 2 of the admitting doctors are horrible in decision making.
We have had the best experience at this very competent hospital! My son spent 20 days here, in which most were in the CCU. The outstanding care he received was unbelievably spectacular. He was very sick, and diagnosed with Legioneres disease, and a very bad case of it. This staff truly saved him and were actually very therapeutic and sympathetic to the family members. I cant thank each and everyone of them enough for there genuine kindness and compassion.Peggy VandoranHicksville NY
I’ve been here 4 hours in the “Express Care” section of the ED and I’ve yet to see a doctor. I was brought here in an ambulance and never heard of the place before. I had to go to a different floor to get a drink of water and when I got back they had given my bed to another patient! Luckily for me I think I’m well enough to leave and go to a doctor in the morning. Awful place. Quiet though.
Average - hard to rate response times because it can depend on how busy the ER is. One recommendation for the hospital is to PLEASE SET TIME LIMITS for how long a TV can stay on in a patients room. There should be a midnight curfew on it for the sake of the other patient in the room. My roommate had her TV on ALL NIGHT with the volume up, and apparently with the nurses consent. It was shining directly in my face and the patient was very belligerent when I asked her at 3:15 am how much longer she would be watching it. Bad enough that the nurses call loudly to each other while standing in the patient doorways and tests and checks go on all night. The all night TV doesnt need to be another distraction to the rest that patients need.
I went to St. Joseph’s today because I had injured my ankle while jumping onto a floating dock. My ankle was huge, black and blue. After 3 days with no improvement, when the swelling finally went up my leg I went to emergency room. First impression is nurse/aid whoever it is that leads you to a bed after admission, walked me to bed. I know what her backside looks like as she rounded the corners. Remember my foot was swollen and painful, she didn’t care. It was insensitive and rude that I followed her as she sprinted down the halls. Patient care?!? No patient care here.
I was admitted to the ER Thursday, March 17th in intense pain from pneumonia. The care I received was outstanding. Dr. Daniel was kind, professional and prompt. Tammy the ER nurse was fabulous, and believe me, she had her hands full taking care of many, and some very rude patients. The medical technician and radiology techs were excellent as well. Very understanding and very accommodating. The radiology tech came to get me for a chest xray and I asked him to please wait until the anti nausea meds took effect. He was very sweet and waited until I was more comfortable. A shout out to the Levittown Fire Department as well. They couldnt have been any more professional and caring.
Had to wait first for the two hours to get us in and then one hour for the doctor / pA to show up. She was very rude and put that same tounge presser in both of kids mouth which she was suppose to change. Then lost for another 30 mins saying that she is going to bring the instrument for ear check. I was watching her talking in phone at the counter , chatting with co worker showing techniques of band tape. When I asked her to come she rudely replied I had emergency so I was busy . I left taking my twin babies and would never come to this hospital again. The worse customer service and the worse care.
I had a pretty good experience, my issue was not major, I went to ER, but they sent me off to some triage location called something else. It wasnt the ER room itself. Anyway, triage people were very efficient, and took great care to ensure they had the proper information before they treated you. This was done in a few hours after a blood test, I was on my way on a weekday at around 2pm though, so not much wait by the time I arrived.Medication someone wrote out was wrong, but luckily I took the RX paperwork given to me by the hospital into my pharmacy and the guy caught the error - my papers stated I need tablets, not liquid like the digital information sent to them had indicated I guess. Oh well.Overall, Id say this hospital is by FAR better than NASSAU UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER, please stay AWAY from Nassau! They didnt even detect my father was having a stroke one time and barely pay attention to their admitted patients for both my mother and father previously.... They must be underpaid too, because they are BLATANTLY rude, it was absurd I recall being shocked they could treat their patients at that Hempstead Nassau hospital like that.
Worst hospital staff.ive ever encountered. Too many, hands in the, pot. They told me they were, keep,g,me for, observation.,but they would move me from the e.r area. In the 7 hours Ive been, here, Im still in the same spot. Loud banging doors, beeping from machines, coffee catch laughter, when ur staff should be worki,g. Not to mention the filth of all the machines, overflow garbage everywhere. Now, back,to the staff, let me introduce you to a sarcastic, unprofessional rude nurse. Her name is SEENA VARGHESE, talk about rude. No compassion, walks away from you when u ask,her something, laughed at me and then continued to talk about,me to staff, pointing and looking at me. Let me tell ya...shes a lucky girl I dont, meet her outside,in the,parking,lot...just,kidding. , after my frustrations, I called for nurse supervised. Audrey persopio came and saw me. She.litterly some to me,like,I was,in 3rd grade. I explained to her my,complaints, the promis3s I was made, showed her the filth,of this hospital, her response was....ypu can leave. Wow, talk about a wonderful, bedside, manner. As for the rest,of the staff. They all need a,but.of,polishing...very rough, hospital. Ill never recommend it,or,come back..And,I will continue to review until I get an apology
BE CAREFUL USING THIS HOSPITAL...Regardless what they tell you, this hospitals lab is not in GHI network. I was not informed in advance that their lab is not in my network. The third party, contracted lab charged me a lot of money for the lab work, and I have to pay out of network rate. Why does a hospital that is in the network use an out of network lab? It is beyond me. I could only say: they do not care or do not know how to manage their work.It also seems that their billing practice is rather aggressive. They billed for assistant surgeon ($6000), who I did not even know whether he/she was there at my surgery. What is more dangerous is that the assistant surgeon is again not in my GHI network. I complaint to the hospital about why they keep using the services/providers out of my network without me knowing it. They so far seemed to be willing to work with me.The last note is that the medical skills level seems to be not as good as expected. On the day of my surgery, after the admission, I asked the nurse who was helping me about whether I could use the bathroom. She said:YES! When I came out, another nurse said: Oh, no I need your urine sample. It seems that they are disconnected and the training is not even.In short, I do not think that I would use this hospital again.
The treatment in this place is deplorable. I brought my wife to the ED there two weeks ago with a blood pressure of 217/110 and worried she wasnt going to take a stroke. They rushed her into the main ER and a nurse hooked her up to a monitor and disappeared. That was it. No IV; no medication; and no medical history corroboration. She just layed there for an hour and a half until the ED doctor got around to seeing her.Even after being seen, my wife still had no IV started and no medication given because the doctor was afraid that she might stroke out. Duh! Thats why I brought her there in the first place.Even worse, he ordered a CT scan, an EKG (finally done after almost two and a half hours on a patient with a cardiac history) and bloodwork (which wasnt completed for another hour and a half). If my wife was taking a stroke or even a minor heart attack as he nonchalantly suggested, she would have been dead, because she still had no IV or medlock for an emergency infusion. Furthermore, when he found out from my wife that she was on Warfarin for chronic a-fib (a heart condition), he was supposed to order additional bloodwork and a chest x-ray and never did. After almost FOUR hours, the doctor finally called our cardiologist to ask him what he should do. FOUR HOURS LATER!!!When our cardiologist suggested a medication, the ER didnt even have it. Instead, he ( the ED doc ) was going to give my wife another substitute medication that my wife had years ago and worked inversely and raised her blood pressure. And of course he didnt know that because no one bothered to consult the patient or go over her prior history with her. He could have killed her with that medication. What is wrong with these people? The topper was, when my wife told the doctor that he did nothing to help her and she wanted to be discharged after FIVE hours before something else could happen to her, the doctor did nothing to calm her down or dissuade her decision. Instead, he said Fine, Ill write up your discharge papers. He also said he was affended, that my wife thought he did nothing to help her.Case in point, my wife signed in with a bp of 217/110 and went home with a bp of 177/95 (and that bp was taken on the monitor over an hour before she was discharged; not at discharge like its supposed to be).The treatment was horrible and in general, the staff was terrible. Youre just a number there... a customer; not a patient. If you dont care about how youre treated, the St. Joseph ED is the place for you. Anyone else should be advised to stay clear of the ED, or you might not survive your visit. That ED is an accident waiting to happen!By the way, this complaint was followed up with the ED Nursing administrator, who only made excuses for her nurses; and the physician in charge of the ED never returned a call to us. Gee, what a surprise! Just more lack of caring from a place thats supposed to be caring for the community. Yeah, right.--- Bill & Pat Le Bassi
Overall terrible experiences at this hospital. They’ve double billed me, sent bills I never got to collections for services they never performed. Doctors were rude and less knowledgeable than webmd. Only reason I went is bc it’s the closest to my house, but I’d rather drive an hour further if it means I don’t need to deal w this place again.
My dad was given horrible care and died as a result. Ill list four main complaints:1. No doctor or doctors seemed to coordinate the overall patient care of my dad.2. A nurse didnt call us, should my dad not receive dialysis, as shed promised she would. We therefore didnt see him for hours, during a period when he could have died.3. His personal nefrologist warned them to stop lasix, used to treat aedema, because itd mess up his kidneys. They stopped it bit then almost immediately restarted it, over her objectiin. And his kidneys failed.4. My dad had suffered a massive heart attack, and they didnt even discover this until 3 hours before he died. I saw a dramatic downturn a day and a half earlier. If youre Ill, please avoid this place.
Last year I fell very ill in the middle of the night. I wound up taking an ambulance to your hospital. There seemed to be no one else in the emergency room other than me at the time. No nurse even came into the room until I was waiting for almost 45 minutes in incredible horrible pain all over my body. One nurse came in and did nothing...another nurse came in and did nothing...and finally one came in to draw come blood from me...she caused me INCREDIBLE PAIN from the needle and when I yelled out for her to stop, she wouldnt. (Mind you, I had just had a baby 5 months prior so I know very well what it is like to often get an IV put in my arm, I was and am no stranger to it.) When she continued to try to SHOVE the needle into my arm and I yelled out in pain, 2 other nurses came in to tell me that I cannot scream like that and act this way...I could not believe that 3 grown women were standing over an incredibly sick person IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM, who just came there in an ambulance, and told them to quiet down while someone carelessly stabbed me with a needle. I could not believe at all how little they cared and how they mistreated me. I wound up walking out of the hospital and walking home, sick as a dog. (Side note: I wound up having coxsackie A1 so yes my entire body was in incredible pain) Your establishment billed my insurance (EVENTHOUGH I WASNT EVEN TREATED FOR ANYTHING), and I did not dispute it. Then I got a bill in the mail from your lovely establishment for a $200.00 emergency room co-pay. I called and spoke to the head of your hospital, he told me he would look into it....only to find that you sent me to collections, which has now damaged my credit score by 80 points! Now everyday I get collections calls. So today I called in, and of course no one wants to deal with me, they simply sent me to someones voicemail. I am going to proceed by calling the news, the attorney general, and anyone else that will listen...because I will not take this abuse.
Worst places ever!! Careless, inconsiderate staff. They just don’t care. I don’t think this review will do anything but just leaving it to make me feel like I made a difference warning people. They’re the worst Hume ever. I don’t know how this place is still operating. Human Resources or justice Dept needs to get involved which I will be emailing them and writing a letter shortly.
My father was taken by ambulance with difficulty breathing and weakness he had fallen several times . We were told falling was not a reason to admit him.Long story short after being home for 2 hours, he was taken back by ambulance and he had pneumonia and congestive heart failure!Wouldn’t go there again
Shelly Shelly Shelly ! She should not be working in the ER or in any hospital setting ! Yesterday I was rushed to the ER after having Sever symptoms of the flu . I passed out I was confused dizzy I couldn’t move my body I could hardly speak. Well Shelly came to check my vitals and was extremely rude . She asked me to take of my shirt I was so weak I couldn’t move . I told her I can’t I can’t move . She then said with an attitude “ well then I will cut your shirt “ I said ok cut it . She didn’t end up cutting the shirt but she did yank it off ! Then she asked me for a urine sample she said . “ get up and give me a urine sample “ I said I can’t get up I can’t move I fell like I have a million rocks on my body . She then said “well then we can’t do nothing for you here !” I was mind blown! Once my sister-in-law got there I asked her to take down her name because she was very rude and unprofessional . Once she asked her for her name she notice exactly why and her entire attitude changed . She started catering to me like she should of in the first place .
I had two unexpected tests this week. A stomach sonogram and a hyda with CCK. The staff was friendly from the office to the test. Bob at the hyda made me feel so comfortable and made sure I was getting the correct tests. He talked me through everything. I was very nervous and he really kept me laughing so I wouldnt think about it. My surgery will be at st. Joes in the next week and I am confident that I will feel just as comfortable
Rude and unprofessional staff. Long waiting times for minor issues. Hospital employs nurses and doctors who can hardly speak English. No concern for your questions or time. The only reason to go there is for the convenient location otherwise find a better place to go.
My father is a cancer survivor and now has frequent bouts of pneumonia as well as a bad spinal injury so hes been on a lot of medicine lately well when his most recent bout of pneumonia required him to be admitted to St . Josephs i was appalled to learn that they administered all his regular medications he would be taking if he was home but refused his pain medication now i understand the stigma attached to opioid pain medication but my father is not some kid off the street looking for a fix hes a 60 year old lung cancer survivor and a marine corp veteran who never had a cigarette in his life his cancer was a result of exposure to dangerous chemicals at work anyway their refusal to give him his pain meds meant I had to leave work twice to give it to him because the pills I left with him were taken away by the nurse who said there can be no outside meds there so they expected him to be in agony as well as deal with the dangerous withdrawal that can happen with this kind of medication so I dont recommend going to that hospital unless you have no choice
Do not go and work in the environmental department the supervisor and lead worker are horrible. They want you to work an entire 8 hrs shift with out a break then some days you are told to take half an hour break instead of an hour of your regular break. They put you under a lot of pressure .The worst place to work
I had a sleep study done at the Sleep Center . Paul, the technician who conducted the test was very informative every step of the way. He explained what he was doing and what I could expect throughout the test. The whole experience was interesting and will no doubt explain why I am not sleeping much. For years my CPAP machine has worked like a charm but lately I find myself awake most of the night. Paul was able to dial in some new settings on the machine at the hospital that had me sleeping wonderfully. I am looking forward to being able to sleep like that at home. I am sure with the help of Paul and the Sleep Center I will again be able to get a good nights sleep. Having a Sleep Center right here in Bethpage couldnt be more convenient, Thank you St Joseph Hospital.
Do not go to this hospital if you can avoid it. My father was hyperglycemic and throwinng up. He was brought by ambulance at 4 am after fainting and cutting his head and experiencing disorientation. After telling him his blood sugar was dangerously high we are still waiting on a doctor or nurse or anyone going on 40 minutes. He wasnt given anything for his blood sugar and no one checked his head at all.
My daughter badly hurt her knee during gymnastics. I brought her in to the ER. We didnt wait at all they took her right in, xray, and called a doctor to assist further. It seems everyone complains about this hospital. But with their poor grammar and racist comments Id hardly take them for even face value
My father was rushed to this hospital yesterday by ambulance. Since the moment he checked in the hospital, the staff has been very helpful..Almost 4 hours later he was admitted to a personal room & was monitored overnight...The night shift staff has also been fantastic...I have to say there where NO issues at St.Josephs Hospital.
Ok I’m talking about my experience only !this place was very good for me In the surgery room as well and in an emergency roomIn the emergency room They were short with staffThe equipment was old Tired nurses But The staff was professional and kind all the way awesomeSurgery department was super professional as wellGot me through the Kidney stones removal procedureVery wellThank you guys
I went to St.Jospehs hospital on Hempstead Turnpike in Bethpage New York with planned surgery for my right shoulder. I went to my doctor who takes my insurance, several times before surgery. I also went to the hospital on at least two occasions before surgery. To fill out paperwork before hand, and to a pre surgery physical. After surgery I started getting bills from the hospital!!, Now wouldnt it make sense to inform the patient that you do not take their insurance. Because they definitely tell you on the bill. In bold letters it says on the bill that they do not participate with my insurance plan. O.K.!! I guess I should have checked. But its also a natural assumption that if my doctor takes my insurance so must the hospital? Or at least the hospital!, My doctor or both should have informed me of this fact!?If you have GHI/Emblem Health Blur Cross Blue Shield stay far away from this hospital.I for one. I am getting a medi alert bracelet with my insurance plans and ID# engraved on it letting the EMT know to only take me to a participating hospital..............................
We were there with an emergency as well and they wanna to assist someone before us i guess because we were spanish!?? Who knows. All i know unless the person its not having chest pain of shortness of breath they have to wait like everybody else.. Not a good experience at all..
Got a call from the business office and tried to call them back; they had hooked the voice mail to a we are in training for an hour meeting for the entire day! I guess by hooking the voicemail they dont have to follow through! This should give you an idea about the competency level of this facility.
This hospital is terrible do not go here you will get bills like crazy even with insurance and you will also get bills two years later they are a scam and wont work out any payment plans with you. If you go to the emergency room and they send you to urgent care your screwed youll be there for hours and then get billed alot of money do not go there!!!!!!!
A good place to go if you want to end it all my wife was admitted for emergency procedure where she needed blood o said to staff where is the blood the said it takes time to get it from the blood bank I thought that was strange they didnt store it locally then was told she would undergo emergency surgery to stop internal bleeding I said I guess you will order additional blood and they looked at me like captain obvious then we go up to surgery and Im with her and surgeon asks where is the blood and 4 imbesciles just look at each other they did not order extra blood for the surgery I can go on and on how she was receiving vital blood in ICU and how they left empty blood bag hanging thank Good friend was nurse and went out and alerted moronic staff next she was bounced around from one filthy room to another one had sheets with blood on them wife was brought here because that is closest nassau county EMS hospital next time I will pay for private ambulance to goto Plainvie do not go to this hell hole

Was brought here by ambulance after, I neurological episode. Where I was left unable to slurred , my brain function had dropped down to 30 percent, my visions couldn’t focus on selected peopleOr items, I couldn’t see straight and I couldn’t talk properly , I explained that this is a recurring episode. Every 8 or 9 months. Took vitals, drew blood did cat-scan, was told I had to wait 14 hours for an MRI… 14 hours, their prioritization and triage, absolute garbage, their communication, garbage, every doctor nurse and er text said they were going to come back and when approached they seem bothered and just gave me a hard to my face, very poor communication very poor decisions on weather or not to triage a 36 year old man with sign of stroke who also works as a health card professional for cries sake as bottom of the barrel, no need attention type patient. Disgusted. When I go to a er or work on my own unit I give me patients the time of day, triage correctly. And tbh none of that was done here. From one health care worker to professional to a possible le client please seekMedical attention else where u less of course you want to wait til it your time to leave this earth. Please keep your word when you say your going to come back please don’t downplay when a you g man has slurred speech, it’s his lively hood, please don’t treat client like criminals and stop them from going on for a fresh air break, not to smoke just to feel less claustrophobic and get fresh air. It’s been a while since I felt that disrespected and made feel insignificant by my own people. Things need to change here. More people are going to die with this level of carelessness.

2022-06-29Thank you St Josephs hospital for great care! Had 3 kidney stones removed today, Im home and feeling great! I ended up getting my period just as I was changing in to my gown, and the nurses were so accommodating and reassuring, especially since they were going to be operating right there. They were also so kind in preserving my dignity and replacing the pad after the procedure was done with my underwear on. Made the recovery process much less stressful. Plus the surgical technician was someone I used to work with quite a few years ago! If Pam is ever your surgical technician, just know you are in good hands! She is such a valuable worker and St Josephs is very lucky to have her.

2022-06-19I dont care what anyone says. This is hands down the best hospital. Ive been here twice within the past year and the staff is always tentative, quick, and efficient. My nurse on my last visit today...Mirtha went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed. She was hands-down the best nurse Ive ever had.! The PA was thorough and explained everything in detail.Thank you St. Joseph for bringing me back to life!

2022-07-02Went there for infusion treatment. ER was packed, which is understandable. After a 3 hour wait, was taken to a small room with 2 chairs for the treatment. Someone was finishing up their treatment. The PA(?) Came in, asked me a few questions and then attempted to convince me to the the pill instead if the infusion. I said no, he seemed irritated. Did not check my lungs, or ask about my health or explain effects or side effects of the infusion. Another person was brought in for the same, her PA was much more informative. They never checked ID or insurance.

2022-03-05Very satisfied with ER experience at St. Joseph. I was treated with care and respect. My nurse, Chris, was compassionate and caring. My Technician, Jennifer went above and beyond to assist and inform me in every way. Everyone was responsive and helpful. This ER works as a smooth team and is one of the Best on LI. Thank you for your excellent care!

2022-06-02I had a great experience at the out patient dept a coupleOf wks ago . Right from the loc of the hosp to the parking at the outpatient dept, to the dept for barium swallow testing area and rite to the nurse and Andrew that were there. They explained every detail and informed me of what was going to happen next . And before I knew it, the test was over with and I was on my way out. Great experience, great department and greet people in that department. I’ll never go anywhere else.

2022-07-04Came in with significant back pain and difficulty walking. Specific individuals were responsive and empathetic. The first time I visited the ER, a year ago, I left with an inaccurate diagnosis. This time, there was no sense of urgency with regard to my pain and a lack of empathy especially when moved. Left without discussion regarding MRI results. Was referred to orthopedic doctor. Released still in pain with no explanation.

2022-02-08Our friend and our family Dr. Maheshwari admitted me and we didn’t have to wait in ER at all. I had the best experience at the hospital. Dr. Maheshwari made sure All specialists see me right away. Got all kind of tests done in so little time. Everything went so smoothly all drs took care of me so so well. Dr. Maheshwari is extremely busy still made sure he was on top my recovery and tests and everything else. Most of the nurses were so good too. Transporter Micheal and nurse aide Marco , nurse Christina were the best human beings. Very thankful to all my drs at the hospital. Special thanks to Dr Maheshwari. Lord krishna bless them all.

2022-07-14Its too bad that I cant give them zero stars. Came here after a long road trip because I have a bruise on my leg and everything lower than the bruise is sore and feels like its asleep. My foot keeps going blue and is cold. I think it might be a blood clot The internet suggests that if you think you have a blood clot to immediately go to the emergency room because it is an urgent matter. St Josephs obviously doesnt agree. Ive been sitting here for 9 hours (and counting) and still dont know if its a blood clot. Im cold. They wouldnt let me eat from the time I came in (11:00am) until I got a CT scan done (6:30pm). Next time I will go to Doubletree because at least they give you free cookies when you check in.And I was told that there was no patient advocates when I asked for one. Judging by the hospitals reply to other posts, that was a lie.

2022-05-03Woke up in the morning and had severe chest and back pains and a hard time breathing. My wife rushed me to St. Joseph’s emergency room. Everyone was wonderful and really nice. Made me feel much calmer during this ordeal. I just want to thank everyone at St.Joseph’s for their kindness and professionalism. Those wonderful people are, but not limited to .. Emily, Noreen (May have been eileen, was drugged up by then) Thomas, Mike, Kayla (also my daughters name lol), Alexis, Sophia sonogram dept as well as the night lady working hard in the sonogram department, and Singh. Dr Raman Kumar for his life lesson about taking care of your heart, and the blessing of still being alive. Everyone worked tirelessly and were still cordial to each other. Strong family and religious backgrounds make this a very good hospital to go to. In the end it wasn’t my heart at all, thank God. I’m just grateful that I was able to get admitted here under their care. So please don’t hesitate choosing St Joseph’s for your care.
