Great course. Very hot on the day we went. Not too many water holes or sand traps. Great novice course.
This course makes you feel like a better golfer. Youll find most of your balls and no sand traps. Always dry and in great shape
Great course and very easy to play. I love coming here and enjoying a round of golf. Im not a big golfer but it is a great place if you are a beginner player. It is a really nice place and the facility is clean and I highly recommend it.
Ive been playing at Stadium for years and it has ALWAYS been in magnificent condition. It is easily one of the best maintained public courses in the area. A sand based course with one bunker and very little in the way of water trouble sets itself up to be a very stress free round of golf for the average golfer. I truly live at the driving range which is easily one of the best if not THEE best in the area. KUDOS to the ownership, staff and crew for making Stadium a place that will be a favorite of many.And I might also add, that they have an excellent bar, lounge and restaurant. They have a very nice outside patio (overlooking the 9th and 18th greens} for golfers to relax and re-cap their stellar shots of the day. You cant go wrong by paying Stadium a visit.
Great place to play early in season. Always opens first and is nice and dry from the winter. After things get going, WAY over priced, but an excellent condition a majority of the time. Tees, fairways and greens very very nice!!! Only 3 stars because its a bit boring for me. I dont hit the ball very far, but I play the back tees to get some challenge. Rounds have a tendency to take 5 hours and for a golf course where its impossible to lose a ball, thats just too long. Would always play when I could.this is for James Gerrard - Best Public course in the area?? Send me some of what you are smoking!!!!
Nice place to practice early in the season when a lot of public practice ranges are still closed.Reason, no wet, muddy ground and the range has adequate grass to give you a little more confidence to hit the ball of the grass without using the artificial mats at other places. Only downside is the range faces south so depending on the time of day you may not see where the ball lands when its full sun.Highly recommended, early, mid and late season.
Pretty much the same hole 18 times. Would be great for 35$ but for 52$ it’s definitely not worth it. No water , sand or really any change at all hole to hold.

I like playing this course. Take advantage of no water on this course. Something about this course makes for a fun round every time. Be weary of range balls that sneak through the netting on hole two, stay to the left/center on this hole.
Starter is extremely miserable and rude. I set a 7 pm tee time online. When I showed up, he told me there wasn’t a reservation. He then complained he already put the carts away and continued to complain as he retrieved our cart. Next, he started to ridicule me for selecting 18 holes. I explained there was no option for 9 holes online and it was our intent to only play 9 holes. This was our first time golfing and it was horrible experience.
Great course, great club house
First time here and Im coming back As a NY summertime golfer, this place is top notch. Extremely well kept up, fairways are in great shape as well as greens. No lost ball factor, as there is no brush or veru long grass. Bunkers are non-existent. Great scenery in the middle of Schenectady.
Nice course. Not very challenging. Hardly and water or bunkers. The course is always in great shape and the water drains better than any course in the area. A little pricey but tee times are almost always available.
Stadium Golf Club is a relaxing experience. It’s plays as a very friendly course with very little water or sand traps. I highly recommend you give it a try especially if you are a new and nervous golfer!

Even after hes y rain the night before, we really were impressed with the course.
Grounds well kept and course is nice and straightforward, but the service guy who came out on a cart to harangue our foursome for playing slowly started the conversation exasperated and rude, and didnt get any friendlier. A league had caught up to us and was being held up, but he couldnt offer us any solution except for us to cut short our 9 Holes and leave the course. We arent skilled players, but I was surprised how rudely we were treated.
My Husband runs a charity Golf Tournament which has been held here for the last 18 years. Our oldest daughters wedding reception was also held here. Everything was perfect. They take care of business and we would not hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone.
Course is in great condition! Make sure you get the capital region golf card. $25 now saves you $10 right out of the gate!
Easy course if you like to get a good score. No sand or water, rough was mowed low the day I played. Nice facility and driving range.
Nice golf course considering they only close down for a few weeks, they get a lot of traffic, and its upstate new york. Average prices. Always the first decent greens to play on in the spring
The course was in great shape. It was the first time playing there and definitely will play there again.
Only place in the area I can find with tee times earlier than 7am. Not many traps or hazards. Great if you want an easy game of golf before work.
I only go there to use their driving range because I prefer to not practice off a mat and its close by.

This is a well cared for, privately owned public course. It is fairly straightforward with no sand traps. It tends to get busy. It is the place to play if you only have one ball.
Ive been a member since I retired 10 years ago, the course is always in great shape, the grounds crew is dedicated to making the course as good as possible, the staff is pleasant and the food in the restaurant is top quality.
Owner does not know how to approach situations correctly staff does not care about golfers .....at the end of the day theyre just trying to get the money in!
Well kept and open golf course. Great drainage even after a heavy rain the course dries up immediately. Big well kept greens and the fairways are perfect.
Two bunkers on entire course, so the challenge (White tee slope is 108) is modest. Management doesnt put out water for golfers--BOOOO! Lovely clubhouse.
Great local course with reasonable rates for 9 and 18 holes. They have a tremendous driving range and a very good practice green to practice putting.
5 minute stacked tee times always makes for hitting up on people or balls being hit at you. Not enjoyable till you hit the turn.

Dry as a bone even after an inch of rain. Greens roll out like an 11. Pricing is fair. They accept the capital region golf card, and you can get starting times. What more could you ask for.
They dont take verbal commitments seriously. Told me,my tee time was for 18. When I arrived told me only 9. Baht and switch. No one seemed concerned.

2022-06-03Im a 10 handicap 67 yr old. I tend to get a tee time as a single, and join in with a 2- or 3- some. Met different folks, and always seem to have fun, despite skill level. Stadium is very well maintained, with smooth & quick greens. You can play the ball down on fairways, not always the case with public courses. Overall, a really nice place to play.

2022-06-12Reserved an 18 with a cart and because they wanted to get out Early they kicked us off after 9. miserable workers.never thought I would get kicked off a course at 6pm. This is exactly why they are closing this course down

2021-10-07Every time I played this course this year it was a green carpet. The greens are always smooth with good speed. The rest of the Capital Region could be under water and at Stadium you wouldnt know it. These guys deliver a consistent quality golf experience.

2021-05-21I grew up just a few streets away from this course and played it many times. It is such a fun course for a few reasons...Its the beginning of the season and Ive been to the range and feel pretty good but I just want to go out and play, not necessarily play a super competitive round - Stadium. The fairways are so nice and open, very wide. I dont feel pressure to have to be on with my driver; If I let it a little loose I can still play it and actually play a decent shot from there too..Conversely... Its difficult enough that if you are trying to shoot a great round, you are still challenged enough to make it super fun.Im roughly a bogey ball player; I may hit 3-5 pars in a round and possibly a birdie (or two?) just to give you an idea of my skill level. I cant comment on anything super particular here; its a well kept course that is very playable just about anywhere you land and hole 12 is quite a nice looking par 3...but youll need a good ~190 club in the bag to get there! ;)

2021-08-21Stadium Golf club has our Go-To course during this rainy summer season! It is well maintained and we are treated well even when we decide to walk the course instead of riding in a golf cart! Yes membership has its privileges! But nobody treats us any differently when we play there!

2020-07-27Booked a tee time on the very convenient Stadium website. Tee times and course flow very well managed. Friendly staff, nice pro shop and clean clubhouse. The course is in great shape. Smooth well groomed fairways and big greens very well maintained. The rough is moderate, not too thick, some trees, but not too much trouble. Fun, well maintained, challenging course. Highly recommend!
