John and Rich did an excellent job painting the entire first floor with a limited time frame and budget to work with. Also got us an excellent discount on paint with Sherwin Williams. Will be doing the rest of the house and deck soon w Stainpro.
My deck was originally done in May of 2016 and was advised that it should last at least 2 years.It is now Sept of 2017 and after 7 calls to his office in which John had indicated they would return and re due the spots that the stain had worked thru, I have yet to see him do what he has promised he would do. His after service leaves a lot to be desired. He has promised to take care of it several times but apparently his word means nothing
Would give 0 stars if possible.... Had Stainpro do our deck last year. Rushed the job. Stained when it was still wet and everything is peeling up. My wife sent them a message when we had bubbles in the stain and received no response. Waste of money.
Quoted on a Tuesday, deck was stained on Friday.John did a good job, was knowledgeable of the products and recommended what was right for a deck that is 100% in the sun all day.The deck looks fantastic and John’s pricing was reasonable.
STAINPRO stained my deck and it turned out wonderful! I would recommend using this company if you need your deck or fence stained. Very professional and easy to work with! I will use them again when I need my deck stained again in 2 years.
Jon and his crew did a great job on my deck and front porch. They were on time, affordable and did clean work. I will have them back again and would recommend them to anyone in the Syracuse area. Thanks Jon.

They did a great job stripping the deck down and then sealing it. It looks brand new for a very affordable cost. They are worth every penny.
Jon painted our basement. He showed up on time and did a great job. Was done in two days and was very neat. Would definitely recommend.

2021-04-29After seeing my best friends deck, I hired John and his team to do my deck and fence. I wish I had taken before and after pics but they came out beyond my expectations! I love that I could choose from a variety of stain colors and that it will last a lot longer than my husbands paint jobs! (no offense) The team was here on time, and had the whole job completed in 2 days! Thanks Guys! Come back anytime!

2021-05-17I’ve had my deck for 15+ years and have used many different services but none of them have done as well of a job as stainpro. John and his team were professional and worked very hard to meet my schedule. I recommend Stainpro and John to everyone and will definitely be using them again when it’s time to stain my deck again.

2021-04-26Had a pool deck stained (first stain). The owner stated since we had heavy rain after the job was complete we may need a touch up. We buy additional stain and he would take care of the touch up. Well we do, there are tons of bare spots. I was told it would be done by end of season 2020. He has not returned a single phone call/text since fall 2020. Now that his tru colors are showing, Ill give a proper review. Sup par stain job, the person that stained our deck left cigarette butts all over around the deck and cleaned out his sprayer all over my pine tree. I thought the tree had a disease until I realized it was grey stain/paint. Still have stained parts of the tree.

2021-04-06Dont waste your money. Had them re-stain my cedar fence and back deck. After they finished, it looked a little spotty (darker & lighter in spots). They claimed it would dry with it all looking the same. It did not. I again contacted them after the first rain, as it looked like a lot of the color had faded or washed off. They never returned the call. After the first year it starting peeling off the fence an deck. I again contacted them. They never returned the call. For the price they charged I would have expected a much better job and follow up. save your money!

2017-11-26Highly recommended! We had Jon stain our deck last year. He did such a great job that we decided to hire him this fall to do some interior painting for us. He made sure our furniture was protected & left the job site spotless. Everything turned out great! We would recommend Stainpro to anyone looking to have interior painting or exterior staining done.

2019-04-04I hired these guys to restain my cedar fence and pressure treated deck in 2017. They never properly cleaned up and replaced things as they were prior to them doing the work. Within 4 months the fence started showing signs that the stain was not applied evenly, creating bare spots. The stain on the deck started to peel and wear off. I contacted them 4-5 times, but have yet to hear back from them. Now the fence looks worse than it did before I had it restained. The deck has lost almost all the stain off the floor. Still no reply from them. Their name says Stainpro, but they are not pros at staining, thats for sure. I have reported them to the Town, the County and the BBB. If you want your job done right, hire someone else.

2017-08-17We have used this professional company twice in the last three years. I stress the words professional because thats exactly what they are. John personally directed the staining and repairs (was needed) of our deck and front stairs. We cannot say enough about the wonderful job they did and it was done in 2 days. VERY, very strongly recommend if you are considering having your deck or fence stained.

2017-09-26Our deck was installed in 2016 and had not been stained. In May, we saw Johns ad in Clipper Magazine and hired him to stain our deck. Many spots were missed, we can see the bare wood. John actually did the staining himself. We called John 3 times and (per his request) we also sent a text message to help jog his memory. He indicated he would come back & fix it. He even gave us a date when he would come.....he never showed up. This was not a quality job & he does not stand behind his work. We are very disappointed & would not recommend him to anyone.

2019-10-08I had bought my house right before winter and wanted to paint the interior. At first I thought it would be an easy DIY project but after a couple weekends I decided I would rather have someone come and finish the job quicker than I could, especially the ceilings. Jon and his team painted all my ceilings and the upstairs hallway. The work they did was great and it really helped me move on to the other projects I had in mind. I am very happy with the results.
