Standard insulation with Keith Mondrick leading the spray foam team backed by assistant Courtney did an excellent job with a difficult situation. The job involved opening our porch ceiling and prepping and spraying an area where we have had frozen pipes. They went above and beyond to expose the area and thoroughly insulate it even clearing out a hornet nest in the process. Cleanup was thorough. Both men were very professional and personable. I recommend this team and company highly.
Standard came to my house last week and I had the pleasure of working with Brandon and Jim. What a great group of people. Very knowledgable, explained in detail everything that I need to know about my new furnace. Their work was amazing- they cleaned up afterwards and you would never know they were there. I would recommend standard and these guys to anyone.
I used Standard Insulation to insulated my house 10 years ago. At that time they did blow-in in all the exterior walls, attic, installed new gable vents & spray foamed the rim-joints in the basement. I had quotes from multiple companies but this was the ONLY company who actually answered my questions rather than trying to pull a fast one to make a quick buck. It has been great. I have fuel oil & prior to the insulation I was paying over $600/month to heat my house at 60°F. Pretty much almost a full tank a month. Once installation was complete I used perhaps 1-2 tanks a year overall. So when we decided to finish our basement this year I didnt have to get quotes from multiple companies. I just called them. They gave me great advice on what would work best for what we were looking for. They also discussed waiting until we have the exterior walls in place first to make it easier to install them & then they would incorporatethe spray foam to attach to the back of them. They didnt have to do that & it ended up taking a lot longer before we had the walls up and we were ready for them to install. Once again great people came to work here & did a great job. This included answering my brothers continued questions about what & why they were doing what they did so he could learn from the whole process. Not once did he feel like he was a bother to him (even though I am sure he was) and he felt like he learned a lot from them. So if you want a job done right the first time then contact them.
Standard is by far the best HVAC company to deal with. Every single encounter Ive had, whether its in person or on the phone, has always been very friendly, professional and honest. They dont try to scare you into fixing/buying something like another heating company in the area tries to do. Our furnace died a few days before the super cold weather in the middle of January and they were here the next day replacing it. I will honestly never use another HVAC company again.
Used to think this company was great. Ive called atleast 15 times over the past few months to just get into scheduling for insulation. Still waiting on that call back. Of course they always answered me until they had a screw up of letting a leak go on one of my boiler pipes upstairs.....week later I have water coming through my ceiling because they cobbed up a release valve on the second floor which they told me It was all fixed. Anyway, at that point I wasnt happy. Since then they wont call me back. This place is headed downhill. Will not be going back for business. They also still dont have my furnace they installed in correctly. We still dont have heat in our bedroom because they didnt route the pipes correctly. My recommendations is to take your money to a different company
Standard Insulation is the BEST!!! They were here this morning and they insulated my entire basement! Last week they came and insulated my attic! This is so awesome. They have a lrogram through NYS. The guys were very nice and totally professional. They go above and beyond.Last week Dominic built me a safe entryway into my attic. And you get reminder phone calls which is super. I cant say enough nice things about this great company!.
We had two young men come this morning to check our boiler, which was not working at all! They were polite, efficient and quickly corrected our problem at no cost. Everyone we spoke to was so pleasant and accommodating. Great service, great folks.Thank you Standard!

I rent, my furnace needed to be replaced due to a crack/pole which was making carbon monoxide leak into my apartment. Erica did a awesome job helping me and my landlord (whom lives in NYC) to apply thru a program to where he only needed to pay for 50percent of the new furnace. They also provided me with space heaters untill they could actually come out to install. Highly recommend

My family recently worked with Standard through the EmPower program. I was shocked at how easy Standard made the whole process from start to finish. We applied for the program, qualified, and had a team at our house to check it out, make recommendations, and get started with insulation in our basement, attic, and exterior walls very quickly. The crew at our home was respectful, efficient, effective, professional, and approachable. They communicated every step of the way, and even made our anxious dog feel relaxed somehow! I waited a couple of weeks to leave my review because I wanted to see if I could really tell a difference in my homes comfort as temperatures begin to rise. All I can say is that my only regret is that we waited so long to fill out the EmPower application! Our home feels comfortable even without the air conditioner cranking 24/7. We will undoubtedly be saving money on energy costs this summer (and next winter!) and were so appreciative! I highly recommend checking out the EmPower program and trusting Standard to take care of your home and family.
Kenny Stover and crew of 3 others were very professional, did a quality job on installing my new system. Always kept me in the loop of work being performed, and cleaned up as they worked never leaving the place looking a mess. All the workers were friendly and a pleasure to talk too.
Insulated basement and performed whole house audit. They were very professional, explained everything in detail, didnt push any products/upgrades, very friendly, work was done quickly and they cleaned up any mess that was left. I would recommend Standard and will use them for future projects.
The team from Standard showed up on time…they were professional and expedient…to remove an old gas hot water heater and replace it with an electric hybrid heat pump technology hot water heater they took a minimum amount of time…between deinstalling the old unit to installing the new one it took a lot of retrofitting and when they were done…the basement looked exactly the same excepting the units being swapped out…Brandon and his co-worker removed…installed and cleaned up the area…I could not be happier with their work…I highly recommend Standard Insulating Co for your heating…cooling and hot water heater needs…they under promise and over deliver…Additional information:Standard sent a technician back to install weather stripping around three exterior doors and install door sweeps on the bottom of each door as well…Fernando did a great job…he took care with his measurements…he explained what he was doing and why…the installation looks great…sealed the doors and makes the house more air tight…I am very happy with everyone at Standard who helped with these jobs…
Excellent work and friendly workers who explained all details of what was needed to optimize heating our home. They were on time, cleaned up after the job was completed and removed all old material.
They spray foamed over one of my basement windows. We live in a very wet area, so we need to air out our basement after anytime we get moisture down there. We can no longer get the cross breeze that we need to efficiently air it out. They also neglected to spray foam near the pipes leading to my kitchen sink. We then had our kitchen sink pipe freeze this past winter, the pipe then cracked and caused a leak once it thawed that we were not aware of until our floor felt funny. We then had to do a full kitchen demo and repair for $10,000. Try Upstate Spray Foam instead.
Had central air installed. The crew was very professional and knowledgeable. I’m very happy that I chose Standard! I highly recommend them!

We had the opportunity to work with a few different departments from Standard... the girls in the office who helped us qualify for State programs..The Associate Sean who determined what needed to be done..the team that installed our new furnace..the vendor who delivered our new Fridge to the boys who insulated our basement...Everyone was so professional and very helpful..we feel that they all went above and beyond for us and we encourage others to apply for the services that they offer..you wont be disappointed.

Had a power vent gas water tank installed and vented through outside wall. Brandon was professional and quick to put in the unit.
I have used your services in the past and was very satisfied. Within a few minutes the technician had diagnosed the problem…the motor on the furnace had burnt out. Made the repair with a new motor in his supply of parts in the truck. He had my furnace up and running in a very short time. So grateful your technicians are knowledgeable.
We were very happy with the Standard Staff that came to our house to do insulation in our basement and attic. They were very professional, clean and were very courteous.
On 1/24/22 Standard insulated my attic, crawl space and cellar. These guys were on time, listened to my concerns, polite and cleaned up after they were finished with this project. They also corrected a few problems I was not aware of. I highly recommend them.
Standard Insulating insulated my attic floor, sealed the attic and basement, and insulated my walls in early December. They also installed an intake valve for my furnace to cut down on drafts. I no longer have drafts coming through my walls, and its a lot warmer and quieter in my house. I cant wait to see my savings in a couple weeks when my utility bill is available and I got this all done at no cost thanks to the Empower New York program.
Standard did a professional, meticulous, and tidy job insulating our attic. The house is warmer and quieter. The workers also spoke well of the business, saying that they maintained their health insurance even when they couldnt work during the pandemic. I recommend the company and the workers highly.
Standard came out to my house and installed spray foam insulation. The quality of work was amazing and the Foreman Matthew Countryman and his fellow worker AJ Roswell were such a pleasure to work with. Matt was so informative and easy to speak with. These two guys worked very hard! I would recommend their work to anyone!
I have been dealing with the employees of Standard Insulating for about 7 months and everyone (office staff to actual insulation crews) has always been very friendly, courteous, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. They got me approved to have my entire house insulated through the weatherization program and in addition to the above, Adam (& John) and Bill and their crews did a great job at my house. The only negative I have is that I was unaware how messy the cellulose installation is. Wish I knew to seal off rooms etc to prevent the dust etc from traveling through the entire house. I definitely recommend Standart, the Empower Program and Adam, John, and Bill.
Great people to deal with in the office everybody greets you with a smile and seem genuinely happy to help anybody that walks threw the door. Great experience with them. Will use them again.
Having someone in your home for 4 days can be quite a pain. We were blown away by how respectful, courteous and happy the contractors that came to our home were. They were always smiling even while working around my 4 children, and my 5 free ranging chickens. Very impressed that they laid plastic down outside, vacuumed every day before leaving, and laid card board down while it was raining to keep my floors clean. My home definitely didnt look like 6 contractors had been in and out of it. The noise reduction was noticeable on the first day, and we are so grateful our air conditioner isnt running all day.

John and Josh insulated the cement blocks in the basement and the improvement is noticeable in the house. The snow used to melt outside along the foundation due to escaping heat and that doesnt happen now. Im glad I had it done. They were friendly and efficient.

The service was great! I had a problem with my AC and he could not have been better! He showed me photos of the damaged wires and tested a part right in front of me. He was very knowledgeable. He also checked out my furnace. He made me aware of promos and specials. I will use them again and recommend them to anyone who has a problem!
We had our heating system replaced this past winter and we just had central air installed this week. Both my husband and I can’t say enough about the talented, hard-working, courteous men that work for Standard. We had several conversations with Brittany, who does the scheduling. Brandon and Chris were amazing. They were very prompt and very professional. Our project was quite large and involved. They were careful about making sure they were not drilling into walls that had mechanicals. They were very careful about not making too much of mess and cleaned up each night before the left. This is not an easy process but they new the details about construction and how to manage the pressure on the machine for Sheetrock walls vs floors with wood. Their knowledge made us feel very comfortable and confident that the job was being done correctly and professionally.We would highly recommend this company!Thank you Brandon and Chris!

I applied for the home insulation program with Standard Insulating, I just want to give praise where its deserved, to all the wonderful guys that installed my furnace, spray foamed.and did my blown in insulation. A big thank you too Shawn on my home inspection. A thank you to the insulation team Chris,Bill,Matt,and Jonathon..also to the Hvac men that installed my new furnace too. I was very impressed by all of these men, got to my home and just dove into the work head first. My home is circa 1899, but even the age of my home didnt scare them, the knowledge,and skills they posses made the work go smoothly. Friendly,caring,kind,and always there to answer questions too. This business is very unprofessional. Mike originally came out and was nice. However, he seemed rushed and was not very thorough. At the end of the day we agreed to upgrade the hot water heater through the NYSERDA 50/50 program. They asked for my portion of the payment up front which threw a flag to me. I called and spoke to Olivia who informed me this is because sometimes they accidentally bill the state for the whole job. I informed her that I was uneasy about it and she spoke with the accounting department who agreed to let me pay when the job is completed. Today I received the below messages from Mike. Mixed messages from everyone throughout Standard and not very professional. Will take business elsewhere and I suggest everyone else do the same. They scam you into paying them ahead of the job so that way when the work is poor you have no leverage!In response to the owners reply below. Nothing you said has anything to do with what I said. Your reps are liars and when called out they canceled my appointment and told me now the full amount will be due up front then told me to find another contractor. Completely unprofessional of MIke. Rushed job, poor quality, poor attention to detail and very poor customer satisfaction. Workers rushed through project, not completing all agreed upon work. When done no one reviewed work with property owner. Upon my inspection I found an insulation mess in the crawl space, a cracked ceiling, drywall damage, storm window damaged, window sill damage and paint rubbed off. Took multiple calls before repair crew came. Again no review with owner. Still after repairs agreed on work / repairs not fully completed. A simple 5 minute inspection of completed work with property owner would help this business.

Standard Insulatings Team came on time, they put down everything to keep the floors clean, they worked around or moved everything where the work was to be done. They taped plastic over all my things. Insulated and put everything back in place and cleaned the area. They showed me before and after what things looked like in the attic. They were professional, careful and went above and beyond to make sure all that was estimate and more was completed. I would definitely recommend.

My Air Conditioner wasnt working during the heat wave!Extremely responsive!! I called in the morning to have someone come look at our air conditioner as it was not working correctly the night before. A service man (Toby) was at my home that very afternoon. Very efficient service, he explained the issue, and corrected it. By dinner time, the air conditioner was up and running. Very professional staff - Service was outstanding - Cares about their customers! I highly recommend you use this company for heating and air conditioning. Thanks Toby and Standard for your service! They truly care about you as a customer!
The service was very Professional. I was given an arrival time and the installers were here at that time. In this time of Covid-19 both installers wore a mask at all times. The workmenship and the quality of service was outstanding, it was a pleasure to have them do work in my home. I had no clean up when they were done and they answered every question I had regarding the installation. I would recommend them to anyone. I am very satisfied. Thankyou guys your the best!
Standard Insulating did an excellent job getting my home ready for the winter months. They insulated my attic, which was not an easy job due to limited space. They also insulated my basement and added a vent, and sealed a door. They did all this in a timely fashion, they cleaned up their work space, and were professional every step of the way. Michael K was the job foreman and seemed very experienced. i would recommend Standard Insulating Co.

After submitting my info online someone contacted me quickly setting up an appointment for an energy audit. I can’t remember his name but the guy showed up told us exactly what we needed, explained how the half off program worked and quoted us a price. We decided to get insulation and an on demand hot water heater. About a month after paying and setting up appointments with Jason, 2 guys came out to install the hot water heater they were very professional, installed it quickly and cleaned up everything they did afterwards they even went and got a decorative piece to hide the venting pipe. 2 days later the insulation guys came (Michael k and his partner) they also were very nice, professional, very knowledgeable about what they were doing and explained why they were doing it and cleaned everything before they left. Michael even found a live wire unprotected wire in our attic that we knew nothing about he secured it in a box and took care of it. I would highly recommend this company if your looking for insulation or hvac.
I have to say I had a great experience with Standard Insulating and the professionalism of the two gentlemen that were at my house for 3 days insulating my attic (after installing sheet rock}, the crawl spaces and the basement. They were here at the same time each day, had awesome work ethics, and actually saw them only take time for lunch. They went above and beyond with customer service by answering Any and All questions I had. Every person was extremely helpful through the whole process. Between Vera, Fred, Bob, Amy and our installer Brandon it was an extremely pleasant experience and how business should be done! Brandon showed up on time and was done relatively quickly. No more worrying about an old furnace!
They did a good job with putting the actual insulation in our house, which required them to cut 4 holes in the outside of the house which they then put these vent things on, the problem is they put one of the holes right next to the power line and now there is a squirrel that has chewed through the plastic vent cover that they used to cover the hole. I reached out to them and they had me send pictures which I did they said they were going to talk with their team and get back to me, but it has been like 2 months and they still have not gotten back to me, very dissatisfied, and disappointed.

I truly cant say enough about Standard Insulating. My parents central air unit stopped yesterday. We called Standard Insulating and they came out to my parents home in New York Mills NY and a young gentleman named Toby was so polite and professional. Toby explained what he was doing to trouble shoot and found that the outside unit has a connection box that was corroded. Toby cleaned it off and got their central air unit up and running. Thank you Toby for all your kindness working with my elderly parents.HIGHLY RECOMMEND STANDAND INSULATING

Standard Insulating did a very thorough job, their work installing insulation in my attics and then in the exterior walls and replacing my furnace was excellent and greatly appreciated. I would say that they can improve in their communication to their customers, most of the time when I reached out to them I wouldnt hear back unless I reached out again to make sure they had received my message, or I would suddenly get a call out of the blue after a couple weeks saying I was scheduled in the next couple days. An email stating that they received my message and were working on it and when I could expect to hear from them, and then updates at that time if something was delayed, would go a long way! Having said that, they were very professional and did an amazing job in all other aspects.

We just had eighteen windows replaced in our old colonial home. From the first consult till the final product, the entire staff was very friends and professional.At the time the windows were installed, both my wife and daughter were working from home. The two gentleman who installed the new windows made every effort to istalled the windows in their areas without disrupting their work. These gentlemen did a wonderful job and we are very happy with the finished product!We have worked in the past with Standard insulating and will work with them again in the future.
I wanted to lower the blower speed on my furnace so I got in contact with standard insulating and luckily the next day they were able to come. All three guys were great , they came in and helped fixed the problem and gave me other solutions for a few more things I needed done Heat and cooling wise. They were right on time , fast and very knowledgeable. I’d recommend these guys and Standard insulating in general to anyone that was looking for suggestions on who to go with. Thank you again.
For the last 25 years I have been remodeling a house built in 1856. I have dealt with many companies over the years. Standard Insulation is easily the best. First, they saved my life when they found that my furnace was faulty and was leaking co2 in to my house. Second. they found that my water heater was leaking LP gas and fixed it for free. Third, the insulation in my house was very old and falling apart. They removed the old stuff and replaced it with new spray foam at 50% of the cost thru a state program. Now there is a big difference in heating costs. I cant say enough. Take Care
Replaced an old 61% efficient Kalamazoo furnace with a new furnace and central air. Very professional job. My house is nice and quiet and cool.I do not have return ducts on the second floor for the AC but found that turning a ceiling fan on the low setting when I enter an upstairs room mixes the air and very quickly makes it nice and cool. Another supplier tried to talk me out of AC because I did not have returns upstairs. Im glad that I didnt listen to him.I have asthma and got the extra thick filters and full house humidifier. Im not sneezing as much as I did before but wont be able to judge the humidifier until our dry winter air gets here. I was using portable humidifiers in my living room and bedroom, so I hope that I wont need them anymore.

Standard Insulating Company did an Awesome job. I was amazed on how they were able to neatly create access to the attic in order to insulate the attic. There was no opening and no other way to get to the attic. The men were great at there job and did it well. I liked the fact that they came with a lot of plastic to cover the work area so nothing in my house got dirty. The insulation in my basement and back door has kept the heat in We no longer have any drafts and now our basement is warm. In just one month my electric bill dropped a lot Thanks Michael. I recommend Standard Insulating and with the Energy Program it didnt cost me anything!!!!
Dave, acting as the lead installer, and John as his primary assistant, have been here for 5 weeks installing an HVAC system. They did a great job, always conferring on the project status and the location and placement of system infrastructure. Both they, and other crew that occasionally came to support their efforts, were always courteous and accommodative. They always maintained clean work areas and we never worried about them in the house. An excellent experience!

Was very happy with Standard Insulating Co. I called expecting to have to wait for an appointment but they came the same day. They checked our air conditioning unit thoroughly and found the problem. They ordered the parts, called us and quoted us the price. This was on Thursday and they came back on Monday, replaced the fan and were done in an hour. Our air works better then it has in a longtime. Micheal D. and Mark F. were friendly, courteous, and professional. I highly reccomend Standard Insulating.

Just had Standard Heating & Cooling install a new system in my home. From the first call to the final installation they were a pleasure to work with . In the middle of a heat wave, my central air decided to quit. I called Standard after hours along with several other companies and received a call back from Standard first thing in the morning. We are repeat customers. They did a phenomenal job of adding insulation in the ceiling of our first house in Madison County. We had 14 ceilings and needed a ton added so we no longer had a great deal of heat loss. Plus they spray foamed our basement and that really helped cut our heating and cooling bills.We retired and sold our house. Weve moved to Cuse and just had insulation added to our ceilings after spending a winter in the house. Plus we had a great deal of icing last year. They resolved our venting issues in the kitchen and bathroom. They left and the heat pump has not been on for the last HOUR!They cleaned up both timesand boy are we happy that we called them to help us again deal with our house. The crews are polite and explain what they are doing. Our house has a weird rafter system and they met the challenge.Thank you everyone at Standard Insulating .... my wife and I would give you 100 stars if that were possible.

I called them up told them I need a new furnace before the winter they called me told me to take some pictures of my old furnace I sent them the pics by the next day I received my estimate. Accurate and thought out quote. I am very happy with the quality of the work, my basement was spray foamed and it came out very even and looks better then before. Also little details make it a professional job like masking off and trimming around electrical boxes and crisp edges at windows.

First time customer. A/C unit quit working in the middle of last week. Came to check the same day as I called. Had to order a part told me it would be 3-5 days. Mark came Monday to install the new part and got us up and running. Very friendly and courteous. Would call again if needed and would recommend to anyone.
We had an a/c problem in my mother-in-laws home. They were called during a very busy time (hot weather) and responded within 24 hrs. (We called others and some didnt respond and some said several days before they could come)The service tech called and showed up the next afternoon. ( I believe his name was Joe Delmedico). He diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes, replaced the part and had it up and running in no time. We were very happy with the service and his attention. Would not hesitate to call them again and recommend them.

I called him a few times with questions and he always answered them with patience, since I asked the same question twice! Both workers were very courteous and cleaned up after themselves. Most of the work they did was great, but the way they ended up insulating my stairwell from my main floor to my basement was less than pleasing due to cost (work was done for Office of the Aging). They ended up insulating over the top of my light switches and most of the storage spaces that were in the stairwell. Tyvex plastic was used with blown insulation behind it and then seams were taped with heavy pipe tape, some of the tape isnt taped down and insulation is falling out. The rest of the work that was done, was satisfactory.

Very efficient. Gary Edwardcame to my home. To evaluate what I needed done was very friendly and helpful and explained how insulating would beneficial to me. Michael Kelsey actually did all the insulating. He was very professional, went over what he was going to do, showed me pictures when he was done, which I did not expect and cleaned up I had no mess. Also my drop down latter got stuck and he saw that it needed to be tightened and he did that so I would not have a problem after. He certainly went over and above.

Talked to people from Standard Insulating at the Home show. They came to my home and explained their products and how I might be able to get help from New York State. They did all the paperwork for me. About 2 weeks later they called me and said I was approved. The job was finished in 2 days. Their workers did a good job and cleaned up everything. I hope to save money next heating season. I will write another review next year.
Great experience. House was cold, 4 year old gas furnace not running. Called the answering service early a.m. Jason called me in a few minutes and said Mike would call. He called minutes later and was at the house in fifteen minutes. Took him a few minutes to find out that the igniter had burned out. Left and came back in an hour with the new igniter. Furnace running in minutes! The bill was half of what I thought one of the other companies would charge. Will always call Standard!Bill Schuster New Hartford
We contacted Standard Insulating late last year after receiving a $1000+ bill from our oil supplier. We live in an old Victorian house in Camden. There was no insulation in the side walls and the oil price was the incentive we needed to take action. Standard came to the house and walked us through the process. We opted to take advantage of a program through NYSREDA. A low interest loan that will be billed through National Grid. Paperwork involved caused delays, but thats to be expected.The installation was done the first week in April. It took 2 employees three days to complete. They arrived each morning prior to 8:00 AM and went straight to work. They were professional and cleaned up each night before departing.At this point, its too early to provide any specific documentation on the savings I hope to realize. But, I can say it is quieter in the house. The rooms feel tighter and I am sure there will be tremendous benefit, not only in the winter, but in the summer as well. Less central A/C use.
The entire staff at Standard Insulating have been beyond wonderful. Starting with their friendly office staff, help filing paperwork to get funding from NY State to help pay for the work, thorough home inspection, to their experienced installers that worked fast & efficiently.Even though it hasnt gotten bitter cold yet we immediately felt a difference in the temperature of our house and the amount of outside noise we now hear. We are confident that the amount of our monthly National Grid bills will be much lower than past years!We would highly recommend Standard Insulating if you are looking to have your house insulated!

Brandon Morrissette was professional. Friendly. Efficient. Answered all questions asked of him patiently. At the end of the job taught me how to bleed the radiators if needed. How the programmable thermostats worked. Gave me an overall understanding how the new system worked. That he would register the new system for us that should we have any issues before the ten year warrenty was up, all we had to do was call.
Gary & John were at my home by 7:10 am and respected my wishes to give me time to get myself moving (I am disabled & need time to move around to loosen my back in the am). I was able to get them in the house around 7:30 am. They described the work that was going to be done then preceèded to do the work. They were very professional & considerate. I had a problem with a small pipe breaking & John went beyond what he should have done to help me. Contacted Standard Insulating Co. for a free home energy audit. After three weeks they send a sales agent, not the energy audit person. Three weeks later they finally contact the energy audit company they work with, which by the way is super and very professional. We were told we would get a report of the audit. We wait a month and didnt receive the report. Called the audit professional and he told me that he sent the report to Standard Insulating Co. two weeks prior. I contacted Standard Insulating Co. about it and they said they would have someone call me back. Still have not received that call and it has been over a month. We want some insulation work done, and the audit identified $15K worth of insulation work needed. However, because Standard Insulating Co. has decided to not care about their customers to check back with them or return phone calls, we will be going with another company in the area.
Our experience with Standard Insulation was a very positive one. Through the Empower program we were able to get our home insulated and a new refrigerator. A friend suggested I try Standard when I wanted to get my crawl space insulated. When I phoned I talked with a staff member who seemed pleased I was inquiring, they sent out an inspector that was pleasant to deal with and was helpful to answer my questions. The installers were polite, went right to work, and left no mess for me to clean up. Within a day or two a representative phoned to make sure I was pleased with the results. I would not hesitate to recommend Standard to someone who needed insulation for their home.

Just to confirm the reviews. What everyone is saying here is true. I used standard for a good sized spray foam job in Oneonta NY and they did an excellent job. Normally they say you can have two out of three: price, quality and speed. I am confident I received all three. A well done job completed quickly and for the best price I found for spray foam.

I worked with this program through NYSERDAs EmPower program. They assisted me with the application to NYSERDA, and were very quick to let me know of any issues they needed resolved. The energy audit revealed many areas of my home that needed insulation. The insulation install created immediate and dramatic changes in the physical response of the home to cold weather, and greatly improved the climate of the interior and eliminated much of the temperature discrepancy between the 1st and 2nd floor. There was a slight issue that had arisen from the 1st day of the job going into the 2nd, but the day 2 crew arrived on time and quickly assisted me in correcting it. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to make their home utility bills more affordable and comfortable

We were concerned about the energy efficiency of our 37 year old home and the furnace. After Jeff did an initial visual and infra-red study, Jason performed and energy study. We were given ideas to improve our energy costs and there was no high pressure. There were two teams that did work for us. One team did the work in our attic, the other in our basement. Both teams were courteous, conscientious and worked well together. Jason is scheduled to return to do a second energy study, so we can compare the differences of Before and After.Standard Insulating prepared and submitted the paperwork necessary to receive a rebate on the work they completed.....which is another plus.

2021-12-15We recently had a high efficiency furnace installed, as well as alot of insulation work. To be honest, I have torn feelings about my experience with Standard. The guys that did the work were professional and knowledgeable. The experience on the other hand kept me guessing. When we had the furnace installed, the installers said they had a new truck that they hadnt been able to fully stock yet. It happens I guess. I didnt mind, but I had to provide several fuses because there was an issue with the furnace upon installation. Fuses are cheap and like I said I didnt mind, but still, and they also didnt have the correct size hose clamps, so they had to use zip ties to secure a fitting on the condensation line. Also, they didnt have an important part for the cold air return duct work that was needed, so they called another guy to come bring it to them. At the end of the day, the poor guys were at my house all day. Still, they kept going to resolve any issues and make sure we were satisfied. The furnace works as expected. Onto the insulation... again, the installers were professional. There was a guy prepping, by covering everything with plastic to avoid damage to our belongings that may be caused from overspray when the spray foam was installed. He was very thorough with the prep work, and I was very pleased with the detail he went to to protect our stuff. There was a guy that did the spray foam and a guy that did the blown in insulation. I honestly felt bad for them because anything that could go wrong, did go wrong for them. The biggest setback was that the gun used for the spray foam malfunctioned, which caused all production to stop for I believe it was about 2 1/2 hours until it was fixed (a repair guy was called to come assist with fixing it). Another set back was that the temperature of the spray foam fluctuated from too cold to too hot. It was out of the installers hands, and they kept me informed which I appreciated. The main part of the house where the spray foam was done looks very good. The blown in insulation came out very good in our attic. Last year, I installed rockwool insulation above the sill plate in the cellar, which made it alot warmer down there. The installers removed and discarded the rockwool as they said the spray foam is much more efficient and will work better. Honestly, Im pretty disappointed with it. It feels much cooler than the rockwool, and Im very disappointed with how it looks. Initially, when the preliminary inspection took place, the salesman and I had several ideas, but I couldnt remember all of the things that we agreed on for them to do for us. Thats MY fault, or I would have had everything out of their way and prepped, so the appearance somewhat is due to my lack of attention, but still I believe there could have been something done to improve on the globs and drips, or runs of spray foam. Again, I felt bad because the poor guys were there literally all day. They showed up at 7:30am and left I believe at 8:30pm. With that said, I respect that they wanted to get home, so I didnt want to ask them to fix it. We have a final inspection pending, so I will ask if there is anything that can be done to remedy my concerns. Overall, our experience with Standard was good with the employees, but mediocre with what we received with what we paid for. Things happen, but I feel they should have a list of materials to keep stocked on their trucks, and possibly a back up for critical tools, such as the gun for the spray foam.

2022-04-07This company made getting our house insulated so incredibly easy! Everyone in the office had great customer service skills and made the whole process seamless. The crews that came and did the job were professional, perfectly on time and incredibly good at their jobs. There were small details that made the whole thing an amazing experience. Without hesitation I have already recommended them to many people. Standard insulation sets the standard for what other companies should be doing.

2022-03-23My recent experience with Standard was above and beyond my expectations. The office staff were friendly and accommodating. The technician(s) that serviced my calls were compassionate and knowledgeable. They did what I considered a very thorough job and were very patient with all my questions. They serviced my a/c unit and my furnace. And each time, it was like my problem became their problem. They never rushed through the job and the end result was truly a happy ending! I will highly recommend your company to others and I look forward to doing business with you in the future.

2022-03-08I had insulation put in yesterday in my attic space and also basement. The guys that came here were friendly , professional, knowledgeable and they did a great job. Upon completion they showed me exactly what they had done and prior to their work they explained what they would be doing. They took careful measures to protect my belongings and they cleaned up immaculately.. literally. Also communication via phone calls and emails with this company prior to the work being done here was exceptional as well. Top notch for sure.

2022-05-01Last Thursday I had a furnace installed by Standards 4 associates. They arrived at 755am, right on time. They all shook my hand, introduced themselves and explained how they would proceed. They were aware that I had to take my father to a doc appt in the afternoon and assured me that the project would be complete before then. They were friendly, polite, professional and happy. I was very comfortable with them in my home. They explained what they were doing and why. They cleaned up as they worked, did not mind my questions and had conversation with me. They completed on time, wished my Dad good luck and offered any help I may need in the future. All in all it was a very pleasant experience.

2022-06-09Todd came first and explained the program offered through NYSERDA. We were approved for the grant and they scheduled us for upstairs insulation and the perimeter in the basement with spray foam. On the day of the install their BIG truck pulled up, backed in, (perfectly I might add) and the crew of three began setting up for their work day.They were thorough, professional and knowledgeable about what they were doing. After they completed the job, they cleaned up everything and left everything the way they found it.I would highly recommend this company for not only their insulation expertise but for any job that they can offer. 2022-04-07It was truly a wonderful experience working with all at Standard. They made the process of getting a new furnace very easy when I was worried that it would be runaround hassle. Very professional, courteous and prompt with their service. Offered available programs I could qualify for and made sure that I did take advantage of those programs and I’m glad I did. Saved my family money at the end of the day when it seems nowadays everyone wants your money. I’ve told all I could that would listen how great of an experience it was with Standard and would recommend giving them a call.Again, I cannot stress how professional, courteous and prompt they were with their service.
