I recently purchased a sectional from Stanley Furniture. My experience from the time I entered the showroom to the delivery today was pleasureable. The sales staff Chris and Rhonda with no pressure to purchase on my first visit were knowledgeable and a definite asset to the sales team at Stanley. A 6 to 8 week delivery date was at my door 4 weeks after my order was placed. The delivery company with the help of their customer service reps. and delivery crew (Martin) had my sectional delivered in the time promised and in excellent condition. Thanks,again for such a great shopping experience.
I walked in and was greeted by Virginia. I let her know what I was looking for and she started to show me around. After sitting on a few different couches I found the set I liked. She let me know it was available in 200 different colors. I picked my color, ordered it and now I will patiently wait until it arrives. I was extremely happy with the service. The owners of the store where there during my visit and I also spoke to them and understand why they have been in business for 76 years. I will definitely recommend Stanley’s to anyone looking for quality furniture at a good price. THANK YOU Virginia and Stanley’s.
We had an amazing experience from start to finish. Our couches are gorgeous and so comfy. Virginia was so helpful and we met Stanley HIMSELF who was very generous with a great price. I can not say enough good things about the delivery company that they used for our delivery. So kind and careful very respectful of our home and our new furniture. We would recommended Stanley’s time and time again. 5 stars
I was really surprised to read the negative reviews here. My experience was wonderful. I needed a couch, and they have a very good selection of styles. There were so many fabric options for the couch I purchased! The saleswoman was not aggressive at all and I found her to be very helpful in selecting the fabric and coordinating pillows. She knew what I was looking for and found the throw pillow in her first selection, and the accent pillow was immediate too. Seriously, just perfect. The prices are competitive and the quality is good. Its not Ethan Allen quality, but neither are the prices. The service and designers are equal in my opinion. The delivery was within the estimated time period. The accent pillow was sewn poorly at the corners, but this was replaced with no questions or problems at all. I recommend that you give Stanleys a try if you are looking for furniture.
I purchased a couch and recliner late last summer from Stanleys and we were so impressed with the choices and the value; as well as the service we received from Chris, that I recently placed another order for living room chairs. I decided to have the backs of the chairs in a different fabric than the inside front. Ronda was so helpful in helping me with design issues, a call was even placed to the manufacturer to ensure that what I wanted could actually be done. The chairs were delivered today and they exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for quality, affordability and excellent customer service, Stanleys is the place for you.
Bought a power recliner for my mother after buying one for myself. Nice item, delivery service was smooth. Much nicer better quality and cheaper than similar item from Lazy Boy. Just beware that they order furniture from manufacturers (which gives a lot of choices) but the furniture is made to order and manufacturing delays can occur that are beyond Stanleys control. They made this clear to me but I have noticed other reviews complaining about delivery times. I have bought most of my living room furniture over the years from Mr. Stanley and it has all worked out well.
One of the electric recliners in our sectional couch, purchased at Stanleys a few years ago, stopped working. Stanleys sent their repair man out this past week. He came in went right to work, discovered and determined the switch was the problem. He changed it out, Its working great once again! He was quick, professional, and a nice guy.Its been a pleasure being a customer of Stanleys over the years. Their quality of products and service is excellent! We and our family are happy to support local business like them right in our own neighborhood!
I paid in full for a recliner on April 6 and was told in would be on the store in 3 months.Last week I received a call saying that the item would not be here until September or October. TWICE as long as originally told. When I reminded the salesman what he said he stated that hed never said 3 months. I do not do business with liars and will NEVER shop here again.
I spent almost 9 thousand dollars on a bedroom set, dining room set, and sectional couch. I was told from the date of our purchase the furniture would be delivered within 2-3 weeks. It has been over 6 weeks and the furniture was delivered today (I understand covid had something to do with delaying things, thats not the main issue here). The couch however, was not delivered. My wife had the movers contact Jeff at Stanleys, and he told them I was aware the couch was on backorder but probably didnt tell my wife because I didnt want to stress her out; which is a complete and total lie. Not to mention the dining room chairs are all defective, and the mirror for our bedroom dresser didnt come with any bolts so they couldnt attach that. I spoke to Andrew whom I purchased the furniture from and all he said was that the chairs and mirror are an easy fix, but couldnt tell me when anyone will come to make these easy repairs, and he said he will call me back at some point today regarding the couch. he had no answers as to why my wife was blatantly lied to when they tried to tell her I was aware that the couch was backordered, had no answers as to why I was never actually informed that the couch was backordered, and didnt even offer up so much as an apology for this whole mess. they are quick to take your money, but move like slugs when it comes to making their mistakes and lies right. horrible customer service, shop literally anywhere else if you can. I will update the review upon hearing back from Andrew to give them a fair shot at making this right.
My husband and I had a great experience! Thank you Mr. Stanley & Robin for working with us to be able to afford great quality furniture that was in our budget. Everyone truly went above and beyond on our behalf and we couldnt be happier. The delivery service was exceptional as well, both my husband and I were grateful and impressed by the care and caution they took to make sure nothing got damaged in the moving process. They came on time and set up was a breeze! Thank you again!
My wife and i have been looking for a TV console with an attached hutch for quite some time now. We finally found the one that fits our needs. The manufacturer was Aspen Home. We found out online that Stanley Furniture in Patchogue sold Aspen Home Furniture so I decided to call them directly on the Saturday before Presidents Day to find out the price and order the piece from them. I gave all the information including, manufacture description and sku number to a man who identified himself Chris. He told me Stanley furniture distributes Aspen Home and they most likely will be able to beat online prices. Quite frankly, my wife were willing to pay more then the online prices from various online websites for the many benefits of dealing with a local retailer. Chris told me he would get back to me at the end of the day, well he never did. We decided to give Stanley furniture another chance knowing it was Presidents Day weekend and the store was very busy. We decided to take the 40 minute ride to the store the following day. When we walked in to the store at least 3 people including the owner were aware of my call the previous day and knew we wanted furniture from Aspen Home. They encouraged us to look at the furniture they had in the store and clearly wanted us to buy one of the pieces they had on a display which, having worked in retail for many years, I respected. We really had our hearts set on the one from Aspen Home which we asked once again if they could order for us. They never said no but continued to sit us down and bring out more furniture catalogs and show us more consoles that we did not want. At this point the woman who greeted us at the door when we walked in was now helping another couple and never acknowledged us again. The owner of Stanley Furniture, Andrew now working with us took all the information regarding the TV console we wanted and told us that he would get back to me on a price and expected delivery, but continued to bring catalogs showing TV consoles we did not want. I explained we are very sure we want the console we came in asking about but understand if Stanley can not get it for us, again giving them the chance to be honest with us. He assured me that he will research tomorrow when he is less busy an get back to me. I asked Andrew, if I dont hear from you I will know you cant get it for us, and he assured me that he would call either the next day or the day after. Well Surprise! We waited over a week and never heard back from him. I even gave him an out and said, if I dont hear from you we will know you cant get and he said I will call you back either way. Instead of just being honest with us from the start and saying we dont deal with Aspen Home any more, or we cant even come close to the on line prices (which as I said we would have paid more for the furniture to deal with a local store) I have no respect for treating potential customers like that. I would not recommend Stanley Furniture. There so many other local stores that are honest and treat people better, with more professionalism and respect.
I have been waiting 6 months for a couch to be delivered. I asked to cancel my order so I can get a couch somewhere else who had stock, I was told by Chris absolutely not, I cant help you, you just have to wait or lose your money. Their customer service is terrible, they dont know how to speak to people with respect after they made the sale. I will NOT recommend this place to anyone!
My family has been shopping at Stanleys for decades! Their sales staff is courteous and professional. They will always go out of their way to please their customers and make things right.... A few years ago I purchased 2 leather recliners that had minor mechanical problems and after one phone call, they immediately stood by their products, picked them up and had them repaired in a very timely fashion. I am completely satisfied. Their delivery crew, Victor and John were courteous and professional as well. Thank you Stanleys for always being there for us!
Great service and great prices. I recently went to Stanleys after hitting all the big box stores. They were able to offer a lot more options. I ended up ordering a couch and loveseat I saw somewhere else for a better price and better warranty. Service was fantastic from sales all the way to delivery! Highly recommended!
The furniture is great and they have always been competitive in their pricing. However, the customer service has continued to decline. In the last 4 years alone its gone from fairly good to horrible. We always try to support our local businesses but the poor customer service has us questioning our patronage with Stanleys. The reps are wonderful while you are selecting the furniture and making the sale. The follow-up when there is a problem or issue - horrible! The rating is based on the customer service.
Would not wish this company on my worst enemy. Found what I wanted online. Manufacturer has Stanleys listed as a dealer. Ordered the desk from Stanleys, paying 10% MORE than online, because I wanted a local business, BIG MISTAKE!! More then a month later I called to find out the status of my order. I was told that they were very busy and I needed to call them back later. I called them back the following Monday and was told that I should call the delivery people myself to check if had arrived and set up delivery. I did only to be called two days later by Stanleys and told there was a mistake. A week later I received a call saying that they could be right over if I had the cash on hand for the final payment. No warning, no check on my availability. I was grudgingly given a date the following week. They show up with no further call or confirmation only to tell me that the draws are broken but they will deliver anyway. REALLY!! I would not accept the damaged item. I was refused my deposit back. I was told to accept a repaired item at full price or lose my deposit.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!
I will never shop here again! My parents furnished their home several times over with Stanley but their customer service and morals have gone down hill. Bought our very first piece of new furniture with them. The dining set came damaged. I called immediately and was told to bring the chair back. The company that makes the chair said it should be replaced. Stanleys told me they would replace it but painted it instead and in doing so damaged the three lower rungs of the chair. They had left the chair in our back mud room. When I saw the horrible repair job which was also a different finish then the rest of the chairs I immediately called and brought it back. They refused to replace it and instead repaired it again. The new repair paint scraped of the chair with a wet sponge. Needless to say it went back again and when I went to pick it up yet again it looked exactly the same. I discussed my disappointment with a salesperson who agreed it was not acceptable when another salesperson (Chris) approached and began insulting me, telling me its my fault for wiping the chair, and was very agresssive and rude. My preteen son who was very upset with how he was speaking to me began to ask me if he should call the police or my husband or begin videotaping the salesman as he was so rude and aggressive. The salesman then told me I should teach my kid some respect. The original salesman had the decency to look embarrassed but the owner was sitting near by and ignored the entire exchange! I left the store as it was very upsetting and the salesperson was continuing to get more abusive and now attacking my child. I went back again today to just try and get my damaged chair and the same salesman was there. Needless to say he was again rude and lied several times. Do not waste your time or money here. Rude liars with the worst customer service ever. Do yourself a favor and look up the number of small claims against them too. Wish I had.Response by the store below is full of inaccurate remarks. Canadell reported that no claims were received and had they been the chair would have been replaced immediately. We gave the name of the representative. The long and short of it is that the chair should have been replaced on day one and the aggressive rude behavior of Chris is unacceptable. Yes it has been 4 years but that is because we have had to continuously bring the chair back for poor repair(i.e. Mismatched color, they sanded chair and the sprayed over the sanding particles without wiping the chair down leaving it gritty, the repair paint coming off with the wipe of a damp sponge, once the chair was dropped in our mud room with the repair never completed ) and we had several times that we attempted to pick up the chair and were told it was sent back to warehouse or we couldnt come on the weekend. Not to mention I no longer will go back alone after the way I was treated. When I left the initial review I had gone to the store that day where I was again met with lies and aggression and was ultimately told they were not replacing or fixing the chair and would call me to pick it up. Still waiting on that call. I will not respond to any further remarks by this store. They are deplorable.
Horrible service!! I would not recommend purchasing anything from this place! They are not truthful with you and are very pushy. I went there to purchase furniture for a few rooms as a new homeowner. I spend a long time there with the saleswomen who told me that she wanted to get an idea of what we were interested in so she could speak to Mr. Stanley to get us the best price we could. From the beginning the saleswomen as well as Mr. Stanley told us that we could have the pricing guaranteed to us when we are ready if we give them $100 deposit which would be 100% refundable if we decided NOT to purchase through them. Welp, we didnt purchase the furniture and now we are being told that they are not going to refund my $100 because they work on commission and the saleswomen spent a lot of time with us. She also is claiming since I didnt return her calls for the past week (Im a new homeowner trying to get my place ready so I can move in) that I must have been ignoring her and thats another reason they arent giving me my money back. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM! They stole our money, told us things that were not true, and there business practices are totally unethical. I have no clue how this place is still open and Im sorry I ever stepped one foot in that place.
I’ve purchased several pieces of furniture from Stanley’s in Patchogue over the years and I have noticed a considerable decline in their service and attitude towards their customers. They’re very nice during the sales process however, once the sale is made they’re service is terrible. The last two items I purchased, a couch and a table, each took several months to arrive even though I was told that the wait would be no more than four weeks.The table that I last purchased arrived two months later than I was told it would. When they delivered it the wood was unfinished! The drivers took the table back and I waited another two months for the correct table to arrive. When it finally did arrive it was defective. The expansion leaf did not fit in the table. They sent a repairman over a week later who was unable to get the leaf to fit so they ordered me another table top. Seven weeks later they called to deliver the replacement table top and I was told that they would give me a delivery “window” when I could expect the delivery. I explained to them that this was the fourth time that I would have to take time off from work due to this table. The salesperson – Scott – didn’t care. He was arrogant and refused to make any accommodation to deliver the table top.I will not be making any further purchases from Stanley’s Furniture of Patchogue!
I recommend Stanleys Furniture highly, I’m a 2nd generation of shopping at this furniture store, I’ve never been disappointed. Recently my recliner we purchased 3 years ago with a lifetime warranty had a problem with the cushion, that flattened (this is not part of the warranty) but they fixed my problem with no additional cost to me and sent the repair man to Southampton. My daughter is now a customer and she loves what she’s purchased and now her friends have gone and are so happy we recommended this store to them.. Thank you Stanleys for your great honesty and service , I’ve been a customer 40 years and my grandma before me..
DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS FURNITURE STORE!!! The initial sale is fine, the showroom has great looking furniture and we placed an order for a dining room set and bedroom set within a few minutes, paid the required 30% deposit and we were on our way. Fast forward a few weeks and we decided we no longer needed the bedroom set and wished to cancel just that part of our $8,000 order with them. Chris got on the line and was extremely rude and condescending within the first few seconds of the call!!! I can’t even properly put into works how nasty he was, the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! He basically treated my husband and I like he was doing us a favor!! I have never been treated like this by someone we were giving our business to, it was unbelievable!!! Better off going to a place that offers great customer service!!!!
Do not go near this furniture store!!! We have been told lies for 6 months and still have the wrong color legs on our chair and a defective couch. We spent a lot of money with them and they continue to change their story about how they will resolve the problem. My husband has called countless times and talked to Stanley himself, and they never came through to fix it. I went into the store today to ask for our money back and tell them how dissapointed we are after saving up for months to buy furniture for our new house and the sales people first told me the manager was too busy to speak with me then when I explained the situation said they dont do returns and its not there problem. I said I was not going to leave until it was resolved because I work all week and she called the cops on me!! I have never been treated like this in my life and Im horrified so now we just lost out on thousands of dollars and I was treated like a criminal. Terrible business! There are tons of other furniture stores of Long Island dont put yourself through this.
I just starting working with my salesperson Chris. I am a contractor and interior designer to my clients. Obviously I use a lot of different vendors. Chris was patient with us as she kept going to different stores and we kept coming back to the price style and maker of the product we were buying. He always had a smile and never a cross word. I will always take my people to the expensive places first and then show them the same stuff half price they can buy with a ton of fabric choices unlike other stores. And it’s made in USA not China.
Horrible place and horrible people. Sadly good selection of furniture and decent prices but not worth the pathetic customer service. Keep trying over the years but let down each time. Arrived last night at 8:20 p.m. to check out bedroom sets and the doors were locked and the sales people packing up and ignoring me, even though the website and door hours posted were until 9pm.
We moved from Long Island to Myrtle Beach in a newly constructed home and went furniture shopping in SC and NC for months thinking that there is where the value should be. Wrong. After searching, traveling, comparing, and pricing.....who would have thought that the best place to purchase AND deliver was only a few miles away at Stanleys in Patchogue!! This was our FIRST purchase from them ever. Yes folks!!!.... dont go anywhere else!! Our salesman Robert, along with fellow sales people Chris & Robin, were ALWAYS courteous, informative and helpful the numerous times we came in. Each of them would not hesitate to take their time in helping with a selection.They gave us not only a great price...but arranged white glove delivery and setup in Myrtle Beach to boot!! Delivery went smooth as silk....not a scrape on any wall and courteous delivery people. We furnished our entire house, (over 36 pieces!), including Canadel, Broyhill, Klaussner, Riverside and Liberty brands. And get this.... out of the ENTIRE order, the only thing that was missing were 2 cushions for the kitchen set.......a faux pas from manufacturer. A call to Richard rectified this in less than 2 weeks... the cushions mailed to my door. If I could give them 6 stars I would......this experience went beyond our expectations. WOOHOO!!!! Bought a beautiful Candel dining set, absolutely beautiful. Custom to my measurements. Everything went smoothly including delivery. Then bought one of the bedroom sets out of a book. Also am sooo pleased. Again delivery and set up was great. Could not have asked for better delivery men.
I am so sorry that I bought from this store. The dining table delivered to me was broken. Its being replaced (after my rants and complaints) and the bed has taken 3 months. They had promised delivery between 2 to 3 weeks. We paid in full and now we are begging for our furnitures. BEWARE: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE!
Terrible customer service. Was told 4-6 weeks for over $5k in custom dining and kitchen tables. Then at 6 weeks was told it was going to be another 2 weeks as the delivery from manufacturer was delayed. I called at 8 weeks and was told it is sitting in their warehouse in NJ and would be on the next truck out to long island. I am now at 10 weeks so i called the location today and was told that i am looking at about another 2 weeks. I am not sure what i can do at this point, but i promise i will never be doing business with stanleys again and i will be warning all friends and family to do the same. BAD BUSINESS.
It is sad to see how bad this local business has gotten. My wife and I have been going to Stanleys for years. After our most recent experience with them we will never step foot in this store again! Once they got our money, they became rude, arrogant, and very hard to work with. Very disappointing since my wife and I always give local shops our business. Time to find a new place. If you do shop here take my advice and do not deal with a gentleman named Chris.
I went in for a dining table and the sales person kept asking if who I was voting for. I told her repeatedly that I was not interested in talking about politics and she would not give it up. I ended up leaving and finding the same table for $400 less on Wayfair. Honestly, the worst experience - dont waste your time at this store.
Worst company Ive ever delt with. When your spending your money they cant help you enough or be nicer but when your unhappy they are rude and avoid your calls and then when you finely get someone they speak over you. They dont even deserve one star. Stanley and his staff are a disgrace.
I purchased a 3000 dollar sectional . I also puchased thw wa rrenty. The color came off the leather and it got a catches all over it. I put a claim in and of course it wasnt covered. When I purchased the warrenty they said everything was covered. I WOULD NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN ALSO NEVER EVER TELL ANYBODY TO BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.
If you need furniture and you want to get great service with that old-time feel well go to this throwback of a furniture store on main Street Patchogue where they have everything you could think of it more sometimes its even best to visit one or two places before you come here but be ready because they definitely have the prices youre looking for as well as Quality furniture that they carry that not many other corporate big box stores have speak to Jeff the owner or any one of his fine salespeople and if you dont see what you like they have oodles and oodles of catalogs to choose from
I am buying an apartment with my boyfriend and i went in the store with 2 of my friends and my boyfriend i am 18 years old and we were just looking at couches and this older man comes over and says if you aren’t buying anything then we have to come back with a parent very unprofessional.

2022-04-26The owners and sales people are nice when they sell but horrible if you have any issues. I bought my couch in March of 2021, I did not receive it until late August. Within two months the back of couch broke. Stanleys took four weeks to send someone to fix it. Then two months later the back breaks again. The same guy comes to fix it and says I know why its breaking the back piece is made with a knotty piece of pine and it keeps breaking where the knots are. So they said they will repair the piece again. This time they want me to take off from work again so someone can come pick up the couch and repair it at the shop. I asked for a new couch and was denied. The salesperson was so rude he hung up the phone on me. Who does business like this. I will be taking further action if a refund is not issued!!

2022-06-24- Our furniture was ordered with Stanleys Furniture on July 5, 2021. We ordered a sofa and armchair. At the time of purchase we discussed with Andrew (one of the owners at Stanleys) the current supply chain issues. When asked about a timeline for delivery, Andrew responded “ orders are averaging 6-8 weeks and joked that we’ll see you in September”. Based on that response we placed our order.- In mid September 2021 we came into Stanleys for an update on our order. Andrew was not there but we saw another staff member, Chris (?). Chris stated that Andrew would never have told us that our furniture would be ready in 6-8 weeks as orders were averaging 6-8 months to deliver. Trust me, if Andrew had told us 6-8 months we would not have placed our order with Stanleys. I emailed Andrew on September 15, 2021 looking for clarification but never received a response to that email.- In late October 2021 we came into the store again. Andrew wasn’t there that day either but his partner (brother) was. He was clearly agitated as both the people in front of us and those behind us were also looking for updates on their orders. Andrew’s partner advised that he wouldn’t even ask the manufacturer for a status update until December 2021.- On December 26, 2021 I again reached out to Andrew by email looking for a status update. Andrew responded on January 4, 2022 with a vague update that the furniture would be ready for delivery in March or April.- On March 15, 2022 I reached out by email again. Andrew responded that the items were due in the beginning of May. My wife had also asked Andrew for an update and he advised that the sofa and armchair had an expected delivery of early June. Not sure how we received two different answers but this has been consistent with our experience at Stanleys.- On June 2, 2022 my wife emailed Andrew again to confirm that the sofa and armchair would be ready for delivery as noted in his prior communication with her. His response was that the factory was closed and that he would need to check with them for a status update. My wife responded that we needed a confirmed arrival date or we would be contacting Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau. A week later my wife received a call that our furniture was in and ready for delivery. Did the fact that we told Andrew that we were going to escalate the matter have anything to do with the furniture finally being ready for delivery.- The furniture was delivered this past weekend (June 18, 2022) and we are very satisfied with the quality of construction. What we are not satisfied with is the poor customer service and lack of interest in the customer by Stanleys. We fully understand that supply chain issues so many industries are facing but in transparency, we ordered two other custom pieces of furniture for our living room makeover from two other vendors. Both were ordered after we placed our order with Stanleys and both arrived months before the items purchased at Stanleys did.- What is most frustrating and angering is that throughout the entire process of ordering the sofa and armchair and waiting for delivery, Stanleys never once tried to reach out to us to provide us with any type of updates. All of the communication we did have with Stanleys was initiated by us, the customer, based on the fact that Stanleys had basically disappeared into the wind after we placed our order with them. The ultimate frustration is that not once did Stanleys offer an apology for the delays in the manufacture / delivery of our furniture or thank us for being patient. It’s as if the process was a purely transactional one for them. Sell the furniture, respond only when the customer asks a question and then deliver the furniture. Nothing more … nothing less. Our purchase was with Stanleys, not the manufacturer. As the vendor we trusted with this significant purchase, we had an expectation that Stanleys would be our advocate in navigating the entire process. Instead, they took a seat on the sidelines while our frustration and anger grew.

2022-01-01I ordered a couch and loveseat to be delivered Christmas Eve. It came with 2 missing cushions, the driver was very apologetic. The showroom staff however, were AWFUL. I was charged $175 for delivery and setup and had to drive to Patchogue to pick up the missing items. The floor model had 2 cushions laying on the floor behind it. Andrew said. Well, theres your answer! Not sure why my cushions for a NEW sofa would be laying on the floor. I stated that I paid top dollar for a new couch and should be refunded the delivery fee and part of the price if I received a floor model. RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL staff. 2021-09-30I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Worst experience. From the moment I bought my furniture there has been nothing but problems and the customer service was horrible. Robert was the only employee who was nice. I regret buying furniture from here. I have been waiting on my bedroom drawer handle for 7 months and still have not received any news on when I will be getting it. I waited 6 months for my dining room table to be serviced only for them to deliver a new table top that completely did not match the rest of my table. They also charged my family members credit card for a ridiculous amount because their finance department couldnt figure out there job.

2022-01-30Anytime we go to Stanleys, we are always so impressed with their level of customer service, buy all your furniture needs there, you wont be disappointed. And a special shout out to Robert who is the absolute best!! Never pushy and so so nice!!!

2021-10-30I have read some good and bad reviews and mine is definitely good. My first experience was over 40 years ago when I purchased a living room. I have also purchased 2 bedroom sets for my daughters and one for my grandson. I recently ordered living room furniture in July and due to covid still have not received it. But I was told I could come in and pick something else. I did select something else plus an extra chair and a new mattress and adjustable platform. Robert and Ronda went above and beyond to work with me. To tell you the truth I am glad the furniture didn’t come in I am much happier with my new choices. Also they will work with you on competitive pricing. I will continue to go back. Thank you***update - the couches I received had a problem that I couldn’t accept the pillows seemed to sag and Andrew wanted me to be pleased and I ordered another new couch - I don’t believe the big box stores would be so accommodating. I repeat they are the best!!’

2021-03-10I bought a recliner from Stanley’s and it just didn’t work out. Stanley’s worked with me and I found the perfect recliner. Chris in the main store was polite and patient with me. Frank from the outlet store was just as nice. I’m very happy. Even the delivery guy (MrG) was wonderful. I’ve always shopped at Stanley’s and will continue to go there first.

2020-09-20Stanley has a great selection of furniture and the employees are helpful. They are very competitive with their pricing. They are willing to match or beat price of other stores. However, they did not disclose to us their return policy. I am really disappointed that we cannot return a dinning set that does look right in our kitchen. Most furniture retailers allow to return an item by paying a restocking fee or exchanging for a different item.

2020-11-23I Ordered 7 chairs in August and put down a $300 deposit in cash. Was told the chairs would be delivered in 2 weeks. It is now November 23rd and the store has failed to deliver the chairs. I asked for the deposit back in the beginning of October, and was told the deposit was non-refundable and the chairs would be ready now in November. It’s almost December. As far as I’m concerned at this point Stanley’s Furniture are thieves. Excuse after excuse and broken promise after broken promise. Very sweet saleswoman who finagled $300 out of me for a product I’m convinced they never even ordered. I’m checking in with the Patchogue Chamber of Commerce and BBB next.

2019-02-17So my husband and I have been shopping the last month for a customizable sectional, preferably in leather. Weve checked almost every where in Suffolk county and could not decide on anything. Either it was too costly or not what we were looking for. Stanleys came highly recommended by a friend so we decided to check it out. Within 1 hour of being at Stanleys we finally had purchased exactly what weve been looking for. We had a great shopping experience! Our salesman was very professional, extremely knowledgeable and we appreciated that he was not annoying or hovering but he never went too far, so it was easy to grab him if we had a question. So, because our furniture is being made to our liking, delivery is going to take 4 months!!! Stanleys was kind enough to offer us a loaner to use until our piece is delivered.Now the only reason I gave this review 4 stars is because its based only on our shopping experience. I will come back and post a full review after our furniture is delivered and weve used it for a while. Im hoping delivery goes smoothly and that the quality of the piece we purchased meets our standards.
