Im torn with this review. On the good side good prices and a good product. The bad side of this review, I went into the store looking for a office chair. I was told by three different people that they would be right there to help me. Nobody came. One gentleman had a 20-minute conversation with another employee with me standing right there and he never acknowledged me until I approached him.
If you are going into this location please automatically expect these things to prepare yourself for this visit. Most employees are going to treat you like a piece of dirt and that customers or yourself doesnt matter in the slightest bit. I went in to collect a laptop that was long overdue for my boss and I was ridiculed for not knowing the policy that whoever dropped it off and signed must pick it up as well. Not only did I not know this policy but the attitude that came from this employees mouth sounded like I should have known. Honestly at this current time and moment I am in disbelief that myself, the customer would be treated like this. I sure do hope the owner sees this and clears out all the employees and tries again with competent employees.
I’m not sure who the regional manager is for these Albany stores but he should really go check his stores out. Inventory never matches what it says online. Price tags are not up to date. Went to three different stores. All look like a tornado ran through them. Not a single person will come up to you if you have a question so get ready to track someone down. I want to say it’s just the one store but it’s all of them. Really bad. I’m not sure if they are running the stores to the ground on purpose but management really needs to keep an eye on his locations. Really sad.
Advertised 2 laptops in stock. When I got to the store they said that neither were in stock and that they count the floor model and damaged products as in stock items. Was told to go to a different store but they were not willing to call the store. After the experience I called the other store myself only to be told the same thing as the first store. Dont trust staples sales, its a total bait and switch
Matt at print and marketing services has the worst possible attitude. I asked him to note down the delivery date on paper because theyve been messing it up since the past 2 months and he said, I dont have time to write you a contract. This was at 8:05 AM when there were no other customers at the store. I tried to explain and he said, I know, youve already said it 3 times!
Tried to use print services. Employee was rude (several times) & didnt know how to do her job. After an hour of her attempts, we finally left & went to a different print place. EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED !!!! Print area seemed VERY DISORGANIZED (several people came in & their orders couldnt be found). This location used to be good, but I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. This review is for the shipping center, who were rude and condescending to me today. Went in to ship a large package (guitar box) weighing 24lbs. The employees at the shipping center acted like they didnt want to even take it but eventually begrudgingly weighed and measured it. Im pretty sure the cashier measured the height dimension twice (instead of width), because even the cheapest shipping option was over $100. She said it was because two men would have to carry it because of the size and weight (I obviously had no trouble carrying it myself to the counter). It didnt make any sense, so I left and searched some shipping quotes on my phone and wasnt coming up with anywhere close to those numbers based on the approximate weight and size. I then drove to the Northway Mall Staples store, who were far more courteous and charged me the appropriate (and far more reasonable) shipping charges. Done with this store, total waste of time and gas.
Dont get your prints done here... No matter how early you submit your job the staff here are unable to keep up and are inadequatly trained. Poor customer service and you have to stay for hours to get your job completed while you supervise them or quality will be compromised. Go to Central Ave and save yourself a headache.
I would like to give this store zero stars. My husband and I weren’t greeted and when I asked can someone help us the girl replied “we are all tied up , right now”...... who says that?!!!! And she said absolutely nothing after that! So basically you don’t have time to take anymore customers. Thanks anyway I’ll go to office max. Terrible customer service.
Went in for a simple image enlargement and the lady there couldnt get it done correctly when I told her it had to be exact, she tried saying it was close enough at .75 instead of 1, then when she enlarged it to almost 2 she said it was closer. When I asked if we could come back for it she ignored the question and continued to give excuses as to why she couldnt do her job

I needed clear overhead made from my printed on paper pages. Initially reduced size so I had to return to get exact sized ones. Person was pleasant and immediately made proper copies. It was for a model so I needed them to be exact size otherwise the first batch would have been just fine
RIP OFF PRICE STRUCTURE!used the self-service machines to fax four pages. it cost OVER NINE DOLLARS...to FAX FOUR PAGES.NEVER AGAIN STAPLES...you pretty much su*k!
This place is bad NEVER SHIP HERE. The manger is very bad and has the worst attitude Plus THEY KEEPT MY PACKAGE FOR 3 WEEKS and didnt ship it. Never go to this place.
I like mention about how compassionate Chelsea sales manager was very helpful with my insurance Id.cards I need to get the transfer to your system so I could retrieve them for my auto policy. She was able give my copy for my dmv. Appreciate it . Show me how transferred my information to my finance loans company proof residents. Thank you . !! Great job Chelsea very satisfied customers service.
Poor customer service. Was there early morning looking at a particular item. Needed assistance, so I went to the front desk where 4 associates were standing conversing. When I interrupted their conversation it was expressed by all 4 that I was a “bother” and that’s including the manager as well. When I asked to see I could be helped I was rushed out the door and was told they looked up the item I needed and that no other store store had it in stuck. The sad part is that I ended up going to another staples specifically the store they contacted and the item was in stock. So disappointed.

We ordered some posters for a conference we are hosting and just couldnt beat this price for the quality. Not to mention they were ready in 2 business days and look great! The print manager, Glenn, was a pleasure to work with and really went above and beyond to make sure our order was perfect. Thank you! We will definitely be using Staples to help with quick jobs like this again.
I have never had anything but sub-par service when printing at this Staples - staff does not communicate with customers well at all, and even if you email your print order in, you basically have to show up there and talk to someone in person before they actually finally print it. Yesterday I mailed in my documents and asked for them to be printed asap. After a few hours had gone by and I hadn’t received a call to say they were ready (not that I’ve ever received that call), I called the store myself asking for an update. After waiting on hold for 4 minutes, the guy who answered it sounded like he was answering his personal cell phone and just said “hello.” He didn’t say thanks for calling Staples or anything. I asked for an update on what time I could expect my print materials to be ready. He said the print team was really busy and asked if he could take a message - I again reiterated my message and when he said he couldn’t provide me an update, I asked to be transferred to the print team, and he said no. SO I decided to wait until the next morning to pick it up, even though my order said ASAP please. Once I arrived at the store this morning, I waited at the counter for 50 MINUTES before receiving my order that I had emailed in the day before. After I had been waiting about 30 minutes, the brunette girl who helped me did thank me for my patience, and explain that one of their printers was broken. She did not, however, apologize. As I stood at the counter and watched 9 other customers helped while I stood there being ignored, I felt my rage growing. I still had not been explained what the issue with my order was. The other saleswoman (light brown hair) was useless - said something under her breath to me, and I asked her to repeat it since I didn’t hear her. She repeated in the same monotone and when I said “I still didn’t hear what you said” she then proceeded to ignore me. Cool. I did feel bad for the girl helping me - it’s not her fault the equipment was faulty and she was basically abandoned by the other person supposedly working in print. The abandoning associate went to stand over on the tech side doing almost nothing except stare at the growing line at the print services side - she even stared me down at one point. Moral of the story: it is unacceptable to provide abysmal service, not apologize for it, and not AT LEAST explain details to your customers. From the guy on the phone, to the useless associate - neither one of them explained or apologized for being inept - and it was clear they knew there were problems. The girl at the counter waited so long before even explaining or apologizing for anything, and I didnt receive my order until after I stood at the counter for almost an hour. Absolutely ridiculous. I will not be taking my business there anymore, and if you want something printed in a timely fashion, neither should you.
Waited for nearly a half hour to have resumes printed and not once did the copy associate acknowledge me. She was working with another customer and was able to help a second customer at the same time. After he was gone she did not offer to help me. Then another store associate comes over to buy a toy for his child. Again the copy associate helps him ahead of me. After he was gone the copy associate still ignored me. I complained to the manager and he apologized and offered to help. I returned to the copy center, the manager confronts the copy associate and she proceeds to be belligerent and complains to him about work she has to do. I walked out and had my job done elsewhere. Very poor customer service. To qualify the situation, I am a customer service professional with more than 25 years experience in the field. I know good customer service and I know bad customer service. Never do you ignore customers if you want to keep having customers.
Today I needed a printer/scanner badly. My other one broke. So at first we went to the staples in clifton Park. NO HELP FROM ANYONE. NO HELLO. NO NOTHING. We went in to find they didnt have the printer we were looking for. So we asked is there a way to contact another store the cashiersaid no. As we were leaving not even a goodbye. We drove to Latham and we walked in and were immediately greeted very friendly. Then we walked to printers found our printer. We went to the ink aisle and immediately again a young man approached us is there anything he c Pointed us to the right ink. And I asked for paper and he went and grabbed it for me. Such a wonderful man. I absolutely will only go to this staples now. Very amazing customer service even at the checkout. Clifton park get it together
