Great service! As soon as we entered the store we were directed to where we needed to be. Found what we needed really fast. The employees were also pretty patient considering I take forever to make decisions. And like any other staples, great place to get school/office supplies.
Rick and his team personify customer service because on numerous occasions they have made the impossible possible. I presented them with two rush orders and they exceeded my expectations by completing the jobs in a short time span and with quality delivery! I will continue to do business with Staples in Harlem (105 W 125th St, New York, NY 10027) because they show great care for their customers.
I ordered some prints and when I returned to collect them, there was a small error. The guy was really busy, but he fixed the error right away so that I could leave with the prints correctly done. This Staples print and copy center seems really busy and understaffed, but the people working there (at least this one guy) seems to be doing their/his best to deliver quality service. If it werent for him, I definitely wouldnt be rating 5 stars.
Definitely the worst service at any Staples that I have visited. I think that this store is a victim of lackluster hiring practices, unbelievable turnover, as well as a habit of receiving lackluster customers who expect nothing more than to be treated in a sub-standard way.I wrote corporate three separate times after three separate attempts to get the simplest of tasks accomplished at the Copy Center. (A SINGLE black and white copy) but the self-service machines (all five of them) were out of service or out of toner. (Which the girl behind the counter said to me upon my asking for a new toner cartridge to be placed in my machine) Whats toner?It seems that very recently, corporate has changed out management at the store and things are definitely improving. I met the new managers last week and they seemed aware of the problems of the past and are intent upon improving things.Last week (after many, many disappointing experiences) I actually received my job completed, correct, and on time. I made it a point to ask for the manager and tell him this.So, I am hopeful that things are turning around at this store. They certainly need to be up on their game with so many corporate clients moving onto 125th Street now. These companies will be needing printing services, and this location is either going to have to match this new demand for quality, prompt service, or sink in the coming tide.If things continue to improve, I will come back and change my rating from a one to a higher number.
I want to start out by giving a big THANK YOU to Brenda, the manager that was there Saturday night Dec 7th. I received a call from my husband which is currently on Parris Island, So his phone call was extremely important. I went to scan sensitive documents to my email, next thing you know it was 9:34pm and I had forgotten my documents in Staples. I called and she was nice enough to search for them even though they were closed. Once again thank you.
First of they seem to make the computers slow so that the bill will be higher. This morning about 10.30 am i printed 1 page which is 1.14 but it did not print at the printer next to the computer which was out of ink. I went to the clerk who said i have to wait. By the time i got back the bill is $5. and change. I asked him if I will get credit, he said to me no he cannot credit me because it wanted me to send to another printer. Never mind the one i was by was out of ink. I went downstairs and the manager gave me the credit. My question to staples is; how can you have somebody like this guy working there. I am usually supportive of employees but I was so disgusted by his attitude that I intend to call the head office to complain.
We been at this location now 2 times and both times there was someone helpful on the floor. Keep in mind we are at the store when its almost empty and not peak hrs. The store is clean and organized. The register personal is very slow. Expect a long wait for 1-2 registers open.
Want to do anything at this store? Give yourself at least 30 minutes. Even if youre looking for something specific and you already know where to find it. Even if youve placed an order online and youre literally just going in there to pick it up. Even if youre just stopping by to spit on the floor because they wasted an hour of your time yesterday. 30 minutes. Better yet, just stay away from this Staples all together. Never have I seen such incompetence.
This Staples has a very unprofessional staff compared to the Palisades Mall. Looking at the location, I can see why.I called, looking for a particular gaming chair, and the woman that picked up, hung up after I enquired about if they had what I was looking for at her location.Then, I call again, and she kept sending my call to hold. After waiting for about 20 minutes, a man picks up, tells me hell check, puts me on hold again this time for 15 minutes, and then a woman picks up asking me if she can help. By this time you can tell its a game theyre playing, so I said I am being helped, etc, and I gave up.Its a shame how some people complain about being targeted, but when you look at how they work, theyre the problem and its why people prefer not to deal with them.These same people that skirt their jobs, are the same people that will make allegations about being targeted because of how they look.I rather take my money elsewhere and deal with someone that really deserves a job.
I returned a Kindle Fire that received for a mothers day gift and was treated very poorly. The consumer service was terrible and the manger acted like he didnt care at all. I call the store later that day to see if I could get better results and it was worst. The manger that answered the phone was very rude and stated that he was OFF FROM WORK AND COULDNT TALK TO ME. He told me to call the Kindle company. He couldnt help me.I will never shop at that Staples store anymore. They say to keep the business in the area that you live in but I would rather shop somewhere else.
Designed and ordered one small poster and ordered business cards. Arranged for pick up on a Thursday- the order wasnt ready when promised that day, wasnt ready when promised the following Tuesday afternoon, and still wasnt ready when I went in the next morning. The staff did not acknowledge their errors at all, and were rude to me and other customers in my earshot.
Horrible customer service first and last time going to this location both managers were rude and very unprofessional monifa the general store manager was very rude unprofessional and ghetto like I no it’s 125st but she didn’t have to have that kind of attitude she was no help and didn’t even try to help her being a store general manager shouldn’t have that kind of attitude
Horrible customer service and the employees are no better than the manager . No wonder why I’m not happy with this staples . I met with the manager and she’s rude before I met with the manager the employee was no help at all .The manager had a nasty attitude I didn’t appreciate her tone . Never will I come back here .
The shipping department and their shipping partners (ups and usps) are not reliable. Ive had numerous instances where items were picked up days later. They always have new staff in there, who lack basic customer service skills. For example, they have bad attitudes or dont even speak to you at times. Fyi, leaving your packages there is a gamble. Beware.

The computer work stations are a scam. They over charge you. And when you print items out they end up at any printer. You dont know where your stuff is printed at. And others are in your business.
Disappointing service at the print/copy center has been one constant at this location. I went out of my way to go to a Staples outside of my neighborhood. Once I discovered laminating a lightweight paper was possible I went to my local Staples on 125th knowing it was possible.Nope. I was told that their machines are different than the other Staples. They were afraid laminating my lightweight paper would damage their machines. I explained I was fine experimenting with my sample.My last remark before leaving, ...so every Staples machine isnt created equal. All I wanted to do was see what was possible if I folded the paper in half and I left with nothing at this Harlem Staples would be possible.Where is the Mother Breaker of Chains when shes needed?
FANTASTIC Staff! I went during back 2 school time and very close to closing hours and everyone was extremely helpful. Walking with me to hell me find things and the cashier was helpful also. The manager Monifa was very nice and personable. I guess thats where the staff get it from. People often Express and promote a negative experience, I wanted to promote this positive one. Thank you.
*************UPDATE 3.27.2019*************After quite a bit of time, and some changes in management, this store has turned around, especially in the Print and Marketing Services department. Customer service has greatly improved, and management has shown genuine care and attention to my business needs. Happy to change my review and report this location has been meeting the needs and standards expected by their customers.________________________________________________________Ordered same day service for business cards. I was told theyd be ready by 7pm as long as I placed the order before 2pm. Called to find out if they were ready and I was given a 4 - 24hr window.Thinking all was lost for same day service, I called the following day to check the status once more. This time I was told theyd be ready the following day. I was also told the order wasnt received until 11:45am on the day after I placed my order. Now frustrated, I asked how it takes 2 days for same day service. After placing me on hold for 4 minutes, I was told my order was ready.Came in to pick up my cards and only half were printed. The other half were forgotten. I was asked to wait another 20 minutes for the following half. My thing is, if it only takes 20 minutes to print cards, why did it take a whole day and a half to receive half my order???I dont believe in firing people for being overwhelmed or unknowledgeable, but I do believe there needs to be more training and attention paid to detail at this location.
Great place for inexpensive internet use, scanning, Xerox, printing with high quality paper as well. Top floor = services mentioned above, lower level = product shopping grounds (school supplies, electronics, etc.)
Did “hour pick-up” which was ready in 15 minutes. All the staff who I interacted with were kind and helpful. My many thanks to the whole team for their work during this difficult time and for providing these crucial services.

Went to the Printing Center and spent about 30 mins there. Ryan was a big help and was super courteous to myself an other customers while I was there. Everything was easy and convenient and they have solid covid procedures in place. Appreciate the help!
First off I never leave reviews but I have to take the time out to say Ricky and Jeff I am so sorry if I’m messing up your name guys but the two men who worked copy and print center on 7/12/2020 omg I had the most beautiful blessed experience with both of them they were patient , helpful and efficient! I celebrated my nephews graduation with a beautiful poster and it was done so well and they were both so wonderful.. we recently loss my mom , his grandmother and due fo Covid 19 he didn’t have a real graduation so this poster was a beautiful tough to our first family gathering ! And a great surprise! Thank you to the copy center guys !They deserve some type of recognition
