Rodrigue always had a word of encouragement for me when I could not follow . Great place I don’t think you can find a better group of people to help someone learn how to dance. They seem to know it all, from the most basic to just about anything you can think of in a friendly atmosphere. I love this place.

2020-01-24Ive been going to Star Ballroom for their group as well as private lessons since they opened nearly 2 years ago. I find the owners to be very friendly and the instructors very knowledgeable. I really like that they run dance socials, as well as specials for their group and private lessons, from time to time and feel is a great way to get to know them and their studio. They are very welcoming and competitively priced. Whether you just like to dance socially or want to dance on a higher level, give this place a try. I think you enjoy the experience, learn a lot and have fun!

2018-07-26I began taking lessons at Star Ballroom in Huntington (Dix Hills) in March. My goal was to become a more competent social dancer. The owner Rodrique and instructor, Joey were extremely enthusiastic and have been so much fun to work with. Even though I am very self conscious, they encouraged me to work on a couple partnered dances for their showcase in June. It was very challenging but also a tremendous amount of fun. Their clientele are very supportive of each other.They also have lively dance socials a couple times a month that are very enjoyable. I definitely feel more confident dancing, largely due to their training and expertise.This is a great studio for beginners as well as they offer many beginner group classes in the evenings during the week. It’s a great way to exercise, have fun and meet people.

2018-07-30If you are looking to learn how to Ballroom Dance, Salsa, Mambo, Bolero, Rumba, International Latin, American Rhythm, Argentine Tango, or even just for social dancing and kids Latin dance lessons the Star Ballroom Dance Studio is the place to be. They have amazing instructors. The owners, Debbie and Rodrigue are a pleasure to deal with. They offer monthly specials and hosts fun events so check out their website. I highly recommend this place whether you are looking for a wedding dance teacher or for private and semi-private lessons. Rodrigue and all the instructors are probably the best dance instructors that you can find, because they make it fun, safe, and you will feel better about your dancing after each lesson!

2018-07-15Star ballroom is the most innovative and fun studio on Long island. Debbie and Rodrigue are an exception pair and are so enthusiastic and passionate about ballroom dancing andit shows. If you want to learn any type of dance especially ballroom, this is the place for you! The studio itself is absolutely gorgeous and the floors are magnificent to dance on! I look forward to seeing everyone there :)

2018-07-14Love this space and Debbie the owner. I brought my mother with me to the second party we attended and had a great time. Debbie is so down to earth and so friendly she came and sat for a bit to talk to us as were new to the studio. We have so much love for Salsa and there were so many talented people to watch and applaud. We will be coming back soon as I have heard there will be themed nights. You can really tell Debbie loves what she does. Thanks for the fun nights Debbie!

2018-07-14If you want superior dance instruction from top teachers and the best dance floor around....its at Star Ballroom! Great energy, great socials, theme parties and student showcases. They dont just teach you steps, they teach you to DANCE, in a comfortable, welcoming environment. The Best!

2018-07-12This dance studio literally overwhelmed me just by stepping into the creatively crafted decor. The entire atmosphere is soothing and when I say that I mean I could be myself and be able to be critiqued in a manor that I felt secure with my dancing. It has been some years since I got my groove back and the energy from practice to showed off the skills I thought I had lost. Debbie the owner is fun, professional and I have been to many dance studios and dealt with a feeling of pretentiousness from owners, just from a simple hello. Star Ballroom mixes a judgement free zone and once the first party I danced at made me feel young in my old years. The sound system and even the flat screens add such a great touch to everything I listed. I love Star Ballroom (please excuse this username, its my sons and Im not the cool dad that knows the internet. I know my dancing skill are back! Thank you Debbie and crew!

2018-07-26I have had the pleasure of taking lessons and dancing ProAm with Rodrigue Edouard of Star Ballroom for several years now. Rodrigue is very patient and a great teacher. His studio is well kept and the floor is a pleasure to dance on. Rodrigue and his partner, Debbie Liguori, run great dance socials and showcase events. This studio is definitely worth looking at.
