I went there to fix my blower ( heat / ac ) I know parts will cost me 500 to 600 depending how much they will charge me..the market price for a blower is around 250- 275 and the resistor is 175- 225 ..so 500 to 600..now when I got there of course the usual opening is ok will do diagnostics and its $175 incase you decide not to let them fix your car or write off the $175 if you want to go with the service ..when the diagnostics came obviously whaever what I told them whats wrong with the car is the exact diagnostic ..Now here is the disappointing part I was qouted $ 1500 + tax so around $1600 plus ... So that meansThe parts will cost me and this is an exaggeration estimate on my part already 600 so 900 or 1000 of that is their labor charge .. I was just amaze that people with no knowledge about repairs gets taken advantage like this kind of repair!!So I decided to take the car in a Regular shop and I only Paid 600 for the whole thing ..I dont mind paying but they have to avoid stiffing a Client. Like that...Its just Sad that people get taken advantage but hey just like they say IT IS WHAT IT IS ...
For the past 3 years that I have been bringing my 2018 Nissan Pathfinder to Star Nissan Bayside Service, I have been very happy with their service especially working with Robert Davila. He is very nice and professional and knowledgeable with Nissan Service. It is a pleasure working with him and will continue to work with him. He is really great!! Thank you so much for your help, Robert!!!
I dropped off my Van to do oil change and asked them to check as to why am I keep getting tire pressure sign despite having new tires. They took almost four days and it wasn’t even fixed because sign came back again next day. I ended taking it to my local Mobil gas station. Star Nissan is too pricey and their labor cost is $160 per hour. I would avoid this place at any cost.
I brought my 2017 Nissan in for service. I brought this vehicle brand new and it is covered under warranty until 2023. Called service center, was told to bring in at 6:30 am. Arrived and was turned away because they did not have a tech for this. You dont have a tech for my oil change and inspection? They wouldnt even check my info, and I had an open recall. Trash service, filed a complaint with Nissan North America.
Great service. Staff was extremely helpful and diagnosed the problem on my car and got it back to me very quickly. When you get the car inspected, they check over the whole car as well for any problems, even if it doesn’t effect the inspection. Robert Davila (Service Department) was very helpful while assisting me.
Star Nissan and Stair Subaruparts and service is in the same building . About 3 weeks ago I brought my Outback wagon in for a oil change , and a check up . I also had a problem with aair conditioning leak . Afther a 2 hour wait . It was all fixed .The people who work there are nice . But I still think there prices are too high .
Misdiagnosis by the mechanicAt the first visit, the issue was not repaired, which led to my car breaking down in the middle of the road. I was charged twice to fix a single issue that wasn’t fixed previously star Nissan not-deliver the quality of work that I was paid for.
I MIGHT AS WELL HAVE DEALT WITH A INDEPENDENT AUTO SHOP. The service place here does not concern themselves with customer service. I dealt with Robert Davila today. I brought my vehicle in that was purchased at Star Nissan because of a check engine light. I informed Robert that before bringing it in this morning, the vehicle had a diagnostic check that showed there was a problem with a part that they just replaced 2 weeks ago. I asked to be able to leave the car and be given a rental since I had to get to work. I was told that they could not accommodate me, that it was left up to the dealership to approve me a rental even though it was not the dealership who worked on this sensor. I asked to speak to a manager multiple times, in which he told me it was too early, just go to work. The final time I asked for a manger, he looked as if he was attempting to get a manager on the phone as he walked to the back office where I could not see or hear if that was actually what he was doing. He arrived back very shortly and told me that there was nothing he could do, said he was told by Ronnie Morales that he was to not deal with the vehicle any further and last but not least said to me the audi specialist that worked on my vehicle 2 weeks ago no longer worked there anymore so there was no reason to bring the vehicle to them any further. Ive dealt with some pretty bad customer service before but this place is number one on the list.
Had an amazing experience with this dealership. They were all kind, and honest! Ronnie M was the guy who assisted me. He was very patient with me and best believe I had many questions. He assured me that my car would be fixed in the time he promised and he was right. He took real good care of me I noticed his cool demeanor with others as well. Many people aren’t fans of dealerships especially when they are being serviced but it was definitely different this time. He was also very knowledgeable of the work I needed done. Whatever he didn’t know he found out and explained to me. I would like to say a special thank you to the entire staff at This Nissan Dealership and Ronnie M.
I brought my 2018 Nissan sentra in for an oil change on Thursday the 22nd. Everything went smoothly until I was on the way back home. The low tire pressure warning light came on, I was like WTH. i remembered the paperwork says the tire pressure has been adjusted to factory recommended 33 psi. I happened to have an electric tire inflator with me so I checked the pressure and I was shocked to discover all 4 tires had only 27 psi in it.I dont know what went wrong but apparently somebody didnt do his job.I am not sure the rest of the information written on the report is true or not.I couldve done this at my local gas station down the block but ive chosen Star nissan for a peace of mind and you guys proved that i am wrong. What a huge disappointment!
Worst experience ever! I went there due to a recall issue in gas tank. The car has the exact problem described in the letter. I explained the issue to the front desk and I was told dont worry about it, most likely thats the problem, the replacement is free in that case. What he didnt say is that if the problem is not caused by the exact component described in the recall letter (even if the car looks like it has the exact problem described in the letter), either you pay a check up fee of $120 (ridiculously overpriced), or get it fix in the shop which is also way overpriced (in my case, I was told the price is close to 1k. But, it can be 1/3 of the price if you fix it with outside auto shop).
This place was one of the best place until the past 2 years . I had a really bad experience with Nicolas he was very rude and actually charge me for oil change when I had never paid for it for been a loyal customer and to top it off he wanted to charge me for a maintenance fee of $270.00 so he can check my water problem that was coming inside the car from the rain , when one thing has nothing to do with the other worse place ever 😡
Thank you to the exceptional customer service provided by Robert Davila (service consultant) my girlfriend and I had a great experience. We entered the customer service office and started asking questions to Robert about the warranty on our car. He answered our questions with ease then told us we needed to keep the car over night. We were informed that we would not be charged anything until we were notified before hand. Robert kept his word, then called us with the good news of saying that our warranty covered everything. Thank god. Lucky us.We picked up the car the next day, but before we left, I had just a few more questions.Robert answered them very politely with a great attitude. Thanks to Robert, we are informed about our vehicle and we look forward to returning to this location in the future. Robert could teach a customer service class to all employees there. Thanks again Robert Davila !
If you like games, long stories, or in the mood to waste time. Please take your Nissan to this dealership. If you dont like your job, quit. Someone else out there would be happy to replace you. Have to take my truck back there for the 3rd time in just 6 days, Because they dont want to fix something that Nissan is covering under warranty.
The dealer leased me a car with malfunction front sensor I drop the car off to fix it after 3 weeks the sensor come back on I called and Mark told me I can’t get a renter car cuz they can fix it in one day like I don’t have better things to do then waste all day. ..renter car cost 40$ a day and they trying to save money by screwing customers ..never going back there again ..PLUS WHEN U DROP OFF YOUR CAR THEY WILL TAKE U TO RENTER CAR COMPANY AND U HAVE TO PAY FOR INSURANCE OR USE YOUR INSURANCE..they don’t provide loaners cars
I have been there 3 time this year for the same issue which they are not able to fix still!!!Very unfortunately, they are not capable to fix the issue which is not a major thing to me if they could be HONEST & UP FRONT with their customer; They do not do that at this place.SADDEST THING IS : THERE IS NO MANAGER ON SITE & OBVIOUSLY NOT CAPABLE TO MANAGE THIS PLACE. However, the front desk employees attitude are very nice!! BUT it does not help if this place is not able to help their customers at all, that is the bottom line!It is absolutely wasting time by going to this place if you need decent service!
You need to wait over 2 hours to change the engine oil and filter. The lounge is nice and clean but there is no coffee nor tea (they do have water). Staffs are pleasant and cashier lady is nice as well. They get the job done but they are costly and requires extended time. Two stars off because time is MONEY!
Was respectful and hygenic considering whats happening currently. Explained what was going to be done to my car even though it was routine and Ive had this work done before still was good to have someone take the time to talk about it. I already tell anyone who will listen to bring there car there. Even if its not a nissan.
Had a wonderful experience here. Everyone was friendly and accommodating from the second I called. I was overdue for an inspection but needed servicing in order to pass. They fit me right in and helped me in every way they could. I had the repairs done and inspection done in a very timely manner. I will definitely be back for all my car care needs :)
If you are concerned with the current pandemic conditions today, don’t bring your car here. Management has done nothing to assist their customers in this regard. The waiting room is very small, no windows and a glass door that could have been opened but was shut tight. There is no attempt at even trying to improve social distance of any kind. I told the representative that if I had to wait at least two hours for a flat tire change, I would wait outside. I think the most offensive part of all this was there wasn’t any attempt to try and improve their conditions. I have a scheduled first service appointment in July which I will not go to.
This is the place, they save my life,Everybody who work there they are very nice &helpful , when my car broken I call them... and tow myCar there just.... 1..2..3. They fix myCar... I am really happy. This is a place one good & nice&efficient people work together. Thanks all of you.
Took my 2017.5 Nissan Rogue SV in on a Wednesday afternoon with out a appointment battery would not stay charged. Service advisor sung took the car and had the mechanic check the battery and charging system to see what problem was. After the diagnostic they replaced battery and I was done in a hour. Thanks STAR NISSAN for the best service I have experienced from a dealer in a long time.
Hit or Miss with the sales reps /customer service personnel. Reception person 8 out of 10 times rude or inattentive to customers if they are even sitting at the desk. The same for the other sales reps. The only nice and consistent people are the women in the billng area.
I left this shop feeling cheated and robbed. Was told my Pathfinder needed a special service. I was shocked when I was charged $500 for the service I was told my car needed. I did sign the paper hastily, not paying attention (learned my lesson). The price was not communicated properly and it was intentionally done that way. Never doing business with Star again.
Horrible customer service!!! I came here to do oil change. First of all, they didn’t let me know it take +2hrs. Horrible communication. I waited for my car for more than an hour and it was still not done. I wanted my car back becasue I don’t want to be late to work and it still takes them 30 minutes to pull my car out. I would not recommend to anyone and I would not come back. Don’t waste your time here.
My head gasket blew, but the guy at star Nissan kept telling my mass air flow sensor was faulty or some other sensor. Took the car there 3 times. Charges me a thousand every time. I learned a simple compression test which would have which took 5 minutes. At least I learned more about cars now
I would like to thank Mr. Wesley for his honesty and willingness to help. Kindly he prevented me from buying extra CVT lubricant that was not needed. He went into the garage to talk with the technicians in order to confirm the needed amount (which already I had bought).Cheers!
Came here for parts; guys at the desk were helpful and professional. They dont have everything there in stock but theyll order for you or find if another location has the item. The prices are a tiny bit cheaper than if you go to the official car manufacturers website for parts.
I usually get my car serviced here because they are pretty good. However, this weekend (9/3), I took the car in to get my tires valve stem replaced because of the metal cap that had seized on it. Both the front tires were seized but I only wanted one side to get replace because I had completely ruined it. I asked the technician to try to remove the other side without breaking the valve stem. Two days after getting the car back, I realized that the technician had broken the other side. After calling them back, they told me that they did not break it. The manager told me he THINKS the technician didnt break it. I know for a FACT that he did since it wasnt broken when i gave it to him. After some convincing he caved and said they were not responsible for breaking it because it was seized. In other words, if something was wrong, they are allowed to break it even further. The right thing to do on their part was to refuse help because it is beyond THEIR repair and offer a complete replacement. They have given me no other option but to replace it. All they had to do was to tell me that they cant remove it and not even try. Instead, they broke it and say that its not their responsibility. I will NOT be coming back here. For those that dont understand the implication: if things are beyond THEIR repair, they are allowed to break it and its not their responsibility. The reason why I say this is because I found a way to take it off (although I might have been unsuccessful) but they didnt even give me that option.
I went to have my oil and filter changed on my Rouge. I was asked if I wanted the $159 package I said, no. Then I was asked if I wanted my tires rotated I agreed to have that service done for $29.99. About 30 minutes later I was shown an air filter and was informed that I needed additional work done. I asked if I could hold off for 5 minutes before I made a decision. After contacting my mechanic I informed Mr. Morales no I did not want any additional services. When I received my bill the $159 charged was on my bill . I did not want to get confrontational on site so I paid the bill and informed Mr. Morales that I was extremely upset and unhappy with the situation. He offered me a $50 credit because he did not want me think they got over in me. I told him I was still not happy.IM NEVER GOING BACK THERE AND IF YOU ARE A WOMAN I SUGGEST YOU DO THE SAME.NO MEANS NOVIOLATED BY STAR NISSAN SERVICE & PARTS OF FLUSHING
Don’t go this place. They will rip you off. I went there today, they tried to charge me 3k for repairing my 5k worth used 2013 Sentra after a failed inspection. I didn’t accept it and only ordered oil change, still they charged me $37 for the failed inspection and around $45 for oil change... plus labor charge... I ended up going to a Chinese repair shop and got all repaired including changing the brake pad, they only charged me around $120..crazy... I should not give any star, but I figure I can not post my post if I don’t pick one.
I came here because my car start to have a noise comming from the radiator fan...I do have a limited warranty until 100k or 7 Y. The sad news that I was told that my Nissan insurance doesnt cover for that and I should pay about $850. I hope that anyone who is planning to buy a nissan to be careful about these things.
LIARS & SCAMMERS! A few months ago I brought in my car for an oil change and a multipoint inspection and after spending hours to do the job they gave me a list of expensive repairs that my car needed. I kept the list and decided that I will gradually get the work done but decided to go to another Nissan service center for my current service appointment. The new service center also did a complimentary multipoint inspection and told me that there was nothing wrong with my vehicle besides needing new wiper blades! Dont bring your car to this location unless you want to be conned into unnecessary repairs
Horrible service ! Epesicallg Staff named Yves B Guerrier. I had appointment on that day for fix my car. He just told us to come back another day because the technician called for sick ?? R u serious? So Nissan star service center only have one technician to fix dozens of cars? So what’s the point for me to make an appointment in advance to come here ? Just here for u to fool around and go home? Attitude staff ! Horrible service!
First of all guys beware of the vehicle and analyze every single detail when looking at the carfax. I went in with my spouse anairis to buy the Chrysler Sebring , we negotiated the price of the deal with Christopher and Gus, once we paid cash for the car including taxes and dealer fees plus a doc fee it came out to 4040 dollars. Then they came up with an excuse that we wouldn’t be able to get the vehicle same day as they had to prepare it. This seamed fine , so we expected to come back next day. Following day came around and they stated that the inspection failed and they had to drive the car a bit because they changed the battery. This was the first of many lies , because of you change a battery you won’t fail inspection. So we called the dealership that serviced the vehicle over the years based on the carfax. They informed us that the car last time serviced there it had the check engine light and the reason the owner decided to trade it it was because the cost to repair was too high. So then it came Friday and the car wasn’t ready. I told them look I want my money back. Then they had me pay an Uber to give back my receipt, and then come home. The next day I had to take another Uber from the Bronx into bayside to pick up the check. Now the check just to change it i was charged 82 dollars and adding that just to check my money back I had taken a cab averaging a cost of 168 dollars , I lost money because they lie and try to sell you damaged vehicles. I asked if I could get my money the way I gave it to them cash to avoid all these issues and Gus refused. I warn everyone to avoid the headache with this dealer , they are unethical and cheats . I should have never taken a lose trying to buy a car and then adding extra expenses because they didn’t want to be honest and state that the vehicle needed to have the engine repaired. Their carfax aswell are outdated. Ask them for an up to date carfax report or go online and buy one if your serious about buying used here because they will make you waste a ton of time.
I purchased a alternator that went bad after 4months.khan the parts guy said how does he know if I am returning their alternator....very unprofessional.typical grease monkey parts guy.. luckily Al the parts manager said to bring the receipt and he will start the return process.thank you Al.....very sad mr.khan we will never deal with you again.
Oil changes take over an hour.Bought $200 rain deflectors from their parts shop but they said they do not install accessories and told me to go somewhere else to install ?????? I thought this was service AND parts not service OR parts. They denied installation of products bought on site... Who do i complain to?
Paul is awesome. I bought my new Nissan Murano and didnt realized that there was old bird poop on the roof. I tried to removed the poop and found that it ate through the clear coat. To make a long story short, the dealer offered little help and I didnt want to deal with them anymore on this matter. Paul did a great job in the past on a part I needed painted for my Nissan Juke. So I went to him instead and he did a great great job blending the paint and buffing the clear coat so it looked like nothing ever happened. Id definitely recommend him to anyone who needs auto body work done. Hes really good.
A friend of Steve (the service manager) recommended me to this dealership to have my 2016, 370Z Nismo motor repaired. When I called to check on the progress they gave me the run around for a week. They gave me the number to the corporate office and when I called I found out that they never submitted the paperwork for the warranty approval, so they had lied the entire time telling me someone was coming out to check the car. During the week of this situation they never got in touch with me about the progress on the car so I made several phone calls which probably annoyed the service manager Steve, so he then decided he wasnt going to work on my car and wanted it towed to a different dealership. I never got to speak with Steve during the entire ordeal or before he made this decision. The only one that I spoke with was Ronnie, the service technician who gave me the number to Nissan North America and thats how I found the paperwork was never submitted. The car is going to be towed to Rothrock dealership this week. I will be writing the Better Business Bureau and calling 7 ON YOUR SIDE.
I had an appointment for 10:30AM for an oil change/inspection. When I brought it in I was told that it would take 3 hours and that the appointment is just to get the paperwork in. In a separate incident I was yelled at by an employee because i was holding a door open for someone.
The only person who has any sense of service is Steve the manager. we had a car there (9 days waiting for insurance approval) and 5 days to fix. when we got the car back, 1 key needed to be reprogramed still.steve said, dont let anyone else help you, ask for me.the team refused to get steve until i called and demanded.service tech poor, customer service worse, cashier is tight lipped and rude. All in all, the worst dealership i have ever been to. next time we are going to other nissan dealers for service. my suggestion, avoid star nissan dealer and service at all costs!!
Based on Toyota Service:Condescending. Over-priced. Unhelpful. Borderline rude staff but not quite enough to get themselves in trouble.I even hate calling them, especially speaking to James, who acts like a know-it-all and proceeds to suggest that you dont know anything about your own car that you drive daily, including how many MPG youre getting. I have been going to them for too many years because its convenient but Ive had enough. It just gets worse and worse everytime. Also, the Latino men who valet your car leer at your body parts, making you feel extremely uncomfortable.Only the manager, Mike, has been kind and helpful. Otherwise, none of them are particularly friendly or welcoming. I called Westbury Toyota and the highest maintanence price they have is still $20 below Stars mid-package so Ill try there.
I have a 2010 altima that needed the heat checked , from the time i called to the time i got a service appointment , everyone was extremely helpful and took the time to explain my options for repair . i would like to thank everone at star nissan service and would highly recommend this facility to anyone needing quality service in the area . MS
So, this place is also an servicing area for Toyota Cars and probably Nissn and Lexus as well.Came here for a service repair a few days ago, the reception desk was nice and very helpful. The person who was responsible for my paperwork assisted me, told me what was being done and what each service was for.The nice thing about the place is that it offers free wifi, FIOS service, speeds were around 50/25 I think thats what they had, which is more than enough to stream a movie to my phone while I waited. They also offered self serve complimentary coffee to customers while waiting for repairs/servicing, and television, though its much too low to hear the sounds.Besides waiting any hour or so for my servicing, I really cant about anything. I do feel bad for those waiting longer than me.I didnt love that I had to come in and waste a few hours out of my day, but I was comfortable.
I would not even give them a star if possible, we have several Nissan vehicles and everytime one is brought here for service it takes forever, and price always seems to triple from original diagnosis that is given. The service advisors seem to be under extreme pressure which translate to the customers in a very negative attitude.
Have a nissan altima coupe 3.5 sr with a p0011 code. Everyone should know just how tedious this code is. Ran through a couple of forums to see how to fix it, and most people recommended a dealer fix. So I took it to star nissan. My first trip there, the tech said I had low oil pressure, and recommended an oil change, so I did it. The code came back 300 miles later. When I went back, they said, there were no repairs to the car, so I was out of luck basically. Anyway I got it diagnosed again, and they told me it was the IVT solenoid, in bank 1. I went ahead with replacing that as well. A couple hundred miles went by, and it came again. At this point Ive already spent 600 dollars, and seen no results. I called them and asked them if they even knew what they were doing. The representative tells me theres a procedure they need to follow -_-. In essence, with all the high tech equipment and tools they have to diagnose and fix nissans its still a guess game? Honestly if I knew that was the case in the beginning I wouldve just bought all the parts and replaced them myself, which I did, and fixed the code. The IVT solenoid they replaced was relatively easy to get to, and god knows why they charged so much money to get there. The job took 20-25 minutes to do both solenoids, and they took two hours to do one. This place is a waste of money, and there techs seem like uneducated mechanics, probably right out of trade school
After the car I travel, after the trip back to my car found lost things, and I also know that time has been three weeks, but during my trip the car is not started, when I found the problem back To the sale, the manager said no way, and finally said to help me ask me to reply to the phone, the results a few days later, there is no reply, very pilgrimage services.
Bad service i made appointment on June 29 2018 for oil change my appointment was 4.15pm and I went there just 15min late because traffic I drive 45min just for oil change when I went there the guy was lied to me all mechanic is left come tomorrow if you guys can’t take care customers shutdown ur business don’t waste people’s time

2022-03-05Newly renovated waiting area, comfortable lounge seats. Looks and feel like a spa. At time of review NYC mask wearing is optional, half the people waiting were wearing a mask. 2 of 3 TV were on. Nissan own channel on 1, CBS on the other. Always come early for maintenance, first in first out.

2022-05-20This place is a SCAM!!! I will never go back! $1,600 later and my car is still messed up. They rush your car along because they have so many cars. So I think it’s fast service but they haven’t fixed your car. Then they don’t call you to tell you the car is ready. Then they give you One price on the phone and a higher price when you get there. This place is a total rip-off! Do not go there for service!

2022-04-27I dont know about everyone over there, I had very bad experience with their sales department. Then again what would you expect from car sales people. My service advisor Robert is very good and honest. I wish all car sales can be direct to consumer with out dealer in the middle.

2021-12-01The previous advisor Chris Jung was very good. He has gone… The current advisor Maxx Muxxxx is terrible. I asked him for more tire pressure. However, he doesn’t even listen to my request. He said everything will complete automatically. As a result, tire pressure balance got terrible after tire rotation… Please see the attached photo… 34 35 34 32… I moved to Long Island. I go to Nissan 112. They fixed tire pressure. I recommend Star Nissan to let M M quit.

2022-04-20I’ve been coming in here for all of my oil change since i bought my car and i have no problems with every thing they had done with my car in terms of changing oil and maintenance here and there. But i came across this situation about 6 months ago when i address to them about the issue i have in my car and i was told to wait for their call when parts arrived and to this day and month of 2022 i never received that call or am i gonna get that fix in my car that i paid for and never materialized in my car. I hope when i come back there soon with my oil change they’re ready to process my refund.

2022-05-10Khan in the service dept always treats me well. No complaints.
