Starbucks in other cities:
Took forever, wrong drink and to top it off, the whipped cream was sour. Ewww.I placed an order for two frappes, took forever for Shernice who was making the drinks. She delivered the wrong drink which I pointed out. No apology whatsoever just turned around and starting making the other one. Again, moved very slow but somehow found time to make at least 4 other drinks while waiting on mine. Then switched her shift with someone else so she couldnβt even bother to finish the drink she made incorrectly in the first place. To add insult to I just, the whipped cream was sour. What a waste of money and time.In credit to the gentleman that took my order, he was very nice and even checked in with Shernice as to why things were taking so long. Didnβt seem to help.
Came in today and tried to use a $4 coupon that they had given me for messing up a previous order- the girl working the counter today (5/15/21) was so extremely rude and just said it wouldnt work. She hardly even tried!! It was brand new and I deserved the money off my order! She had a terrible attitude for no reason the entire time. Bummer.
Very inconsistent drink quality barista to barista in terms of the ratio of espresso shots/water/ice/milk. My past two iced americanos with soy tasted like water and soy with no coffee, extremely different than the same order from other locations or even at this same location.
I come here all the time and besides the fact that they donβt know the difference between light ice and too much ice I always have a okay experience. Oh yea and one of workers there has a terrible attitude. I ordered from Uber eats 2 venti Frappuccinoβs and literally the cup was filled with 1/4 drink and 3/4 whipped cream π I was so mad I wonβt be going here anymore. I prefer the one on Dyckman they are consistent and friendly
Some Staff are nice, but most are very rude. They are not doing you a favor this is their job. Unfortunately there is a restroom there but they do not allow customers to use it. The Starbucks on Broadway in Dyckman is 100 times better much friendlier staff. Wish it was closer
I have come here for many years and in the last year or so the service is awful. Wrong order wrong size drinks. And one gentleman Today 12/ 31/19 had the nerve to roll his eyes at me after I said I had the wrong size drink 7.97 is steep for a coffee drink. But I accept the expense, I also EXPECT the service and quality for the price. Black stocking cap 6 1 ish and just rude. Bye Starbucks!!
An employee by the name Jesus at this location was very rude to another coworker I dont know if he was a manager or supervisor but it does not give him the right to be rude to the cashier who was just giving me some information about where I can probably find a public bathroom that might be available. If anything he should of talk to her on the side if she needed to be corrected on something that might violate store policy.
I appreciate the fact that this coffee place exists in Washington Heights. For that again Iβm grateful. Nevertheless, due to unknown reasons the bathroom is not an option anymore. I live in the neighborhood so it did not affect me as much. Yet, I witnessed how some people who are not locals came into the store and asked for a restroom. Unfortunately that has to visit another establishment with facilities available for customers. I have to say that they are still making good business because this is the only Starbucks in this area. I strongly recommend for this establishment to open the restroom again and limit the time to 20 minuets for those who sit there to work for over 2 hours. Other than that, it is very good coffee.
I think baristas at this place (and other Starbucks locations, too) forget that customers pay about $5 a drink. The mocha I ordered today was lukewarm, watery, and did not have whipped cream, even though it was requested. Thats not a $5 drink. In fact, this often happens here and I realize that Ive simply stopped coming - its been months. I originally was going to give 2 stars but I couldnt figure out what redeemed this place. Its, uh, clean-ish?
My experience here might have been atypical, but it was pretty bad. Had to wait for employees to be done chatting and messing around on their phones to be acknowledged. Coffee was pretty status quo for Starbucks. And the fact that the restroom is employees only is obnoxious.
I always go here for my morning hot coffee. I know most of the staff they all seem nice. Today I decided to try the Cocoa Protein cold blend and trust me..it does not taste good. I told them and the Barista said she didnt like it either but she did offer to make me something else but I had my regular black coffee sonI said no. They should take that bland tasteless drink out of their menu.
Its okay but after the remodeling and less seats it just doesnt feel welcoming anymore. Now that there is half the seating it makes the problem of the people that sit in there for hours without buying anything - every single day, same people - much worse. Some of these people even take empty coffee cups out of the trash to look like a customer. A few days ago I was getting ready to leave after finishing my approximately $10 plus $2 tip drink and sandwich when one of those people asks me if they can have my cup. I had to ignore or risk blowing up making a huge scene Hulk style.
There are no high chairs. Clearly its get you coffee and get out. Smallest Starbucks I have seen yet. Area where their are chairs it is tight feel. I feel like I am on a full rush hour subway train cart. If your lacking that tight rush hour feel this is where it is at. Enjoy!
Visited this place three days on a row. Every time they served coffee I had to ask for the milk since it wasnt at the designated condiments area. Their explanation was that when the Sun shines through the window gets the milk and cream warm and therefore they keep it in the fridge. It takes longer than usual to order coffee!
The service here can be random. The staff is well-intentioned but the crowd can seem overwhelming and the experience can lack the usual welcome from the Starbucks trademark greeting. If you want to enjoy your coffee and dine in, good luck in battling with the laptop/charge my phone culture dominating the tables.
Good Spot!! I have a Gold Status, I only order via my Starbucks App to go as I drive there. Its always ready for pick up when I get there. 4 stars because they have messed up my order a few times. If you order a sandwich, just make sure its what you ordered before you walk out.
I come here all the time. I just think they need more employees there. Sometimes the wait it too long. Also I had issues with my mobile order and they were great with handling that which is good. I had the proof I ordered but some reason it didnt get to them. But they were on it once I said something politely to them
I was here a good couple of hours studying before a lesson, and probably spent around $30 throughout the day. Most people are nice, but one of your male baristas is a condescending jerk. Usually you guys put drinks at the end of the bar, so I went to check there. It wasnt there, so I went back to studying. A few minutes he asked who was waiting for a cold brew. I raised my hand and he scoffed its been here, and he glared at me. Heard him joking to co-workers about dumb customer. I guess they just expect people to look in between the machines like thats a normal place to out a drink.
This is the Starbucks closest to the 181st street subway station. Its just across the street from the station. It serves the regular Starbucks line of coffee drinks , tea and some light snacks.Service is normally ok but can be slow if it gets crowded. There are usually some seats but not always, so you take a chance if you plan on sitting there for a few hours and doing some work. I think its more for people who come in to pick up a drink and leave rather than people drinking in the store.
Quality of the drinks and the service is about average for Starbucks, its in Washington Heights where there are limited options so it fills up quickly with a lot of internet users who dont turn over quickly. The best time to go and best service is first thing in the morning - the cool lime refresher is back my favorite.
I love Starbucks, and I especially love this Starbucks. Its not just an impersonal midtown coffee place, its a neighborhood hangout where the baristas know you by name. I just wish it was a little bigger and they were open a little longer. Meet your friends, bring your tablet, and have a cup of something. Enjoy!
Nice breaking point during rides to/from NJ via the GWB. As with most Starbucks, they are always very accommodating when asked for a cup of water which is a small thing but amazing how many places would make you pay for the cup. Obviously all the other things that Starbucks offers is here, and is great.
Disgusting service,I was there yesterday July 10th at about 4:30 pm I was there for a while waiting to ordered a Frappuccino but the people who were there didnβt even say anything to and other 3 guys that were waiting to be attended so because nobody said anything to me or the other guys I left and I went to dunking donuts instead.but I really wanted the Frappuccino though but oh well I guess I wasnβt attended because of my visible tattoos,so disrespectful people with no manners shouldnβt be working at Starbucks or the should be retrained, awfully treated..πΉπΉπΉπΊ
Has nothing to do with the delicacies and the splendor of coffees aroma, rather with the service provide to the Washington Heights community, where the great majority is mostly Hispanic and there is a great percentage of elders in the community around this particular store location, whose manager is rude and discriminate, makes distinctions and has open favoritism for certain ethnicities. This person lacks respect for Hispanic population and it happens to be that i have being around to intervine helping hispanic elders by translating for them in asking what they desire to purchase in the Starbucks store. I have seeing costumers being disrespected and yell at, and i have being a victim of that open discrimination in that particular store of 181 street and Fort Washington. Formal complaints has being brought up to the attention of the district manager and nothing has being done to resolute the situation with this so called managerSuggestion: there has to be a more critical selection before you hire staff and mostly giving a title such as manager to someone that lacks hospitality skills,

2021-02-09The correct address is 803 W 181st St, New York, NY 10033. This is the Starbucks located by 181st near Fort Washington. Good place btw, never had an issue and if I did it was quickly resolved. Recommendedπ

2022-05-03While i waited for my beverage a man came to pick up his order and the employees didnt even make sure he picked up the complete order (yes i know, he shouldve also made sure his order was complete) they dont even make sure if the person picking up is the actual person. You also get ice instead of the actual drink at this Starbucks, I bought an $8 drink and more than half the cup was full of ice so make sure you ask for light ice if you visit this location.

2022-05-05Iβm a loyal customer who presented my EU loyalty cardβ¦am an American whose spends thousands on this brand. Manager at 181st store refused to give me a discount since my EU loyalty card is not usable in the US. Kudos to the managers on Dyckman Starbucks and 168th street for acknowledging my years of loyalty! No is ok, itβs the HOW you treat your customers. You donβt then go raising βthis is Americaβ in front of the entire store to hear. Lack of professionalism is an understatement. I will of course continue to drink my Starbucks where in the world I may be, Iβll never return to 181st snd Ft Washington and for sure will raise this with corporate.

2021-12-02This place is great, the workers are always on top of things whether its cleaning the cafe area or making the drinks as quickly and accurately as possible. They make sure to check for vaccination status for guests desiring to sit in, which is super important at this time. Kudos to this location for caring about the community and making sure everyone comes & leaves satisfied.

2020-02-20I always order online cause parking is hard to get. I order a venti Mango Dragon fruit lemonade with a iced lemon cake. When I went in my drick was ready but not my cake. Which is strange since they have to make my drink. They dont warm up the lemon cake cause it would melt. I asked why my cake wasnt with my lemon cake. They told me its coming up and handle it to me. I got on my car drove home and find out that its not my lemon cake. I guess Jocelyn sound like Jessica. Get it together Starbucks.

2021-11-05I donβt know what it is about this location, but my order is almost always wrong and it always takes 10 minutes for a drink - that always ends up being wrong. I ordered a Chai Frappe for the umpteenth time today - and as usual, I was handed a Chai latte. Iβm not sure what is going on, but when I asked to correct it I was met with resistance. So I just left. Waiting 10 minutes for a drink that is completely wrong, and then being told they canβt remake it... what is the point?
