I stumbled into this place by accident. And am I glad I did! I got to try 3 different kinds of coffee without putting a dent on my wallet. The environment was spacious and comfortable. I was there for breakfast and the menu was more than adequate for me. I would ha e given 5 stars if I didnt have to wait outside for them to let me in since it was really cold and windy in the early morning. Nonetheless it was an eye opener. Highly recommended even though it is just for the coffee drinking experience and decor arrangements.
This place is incredible! Came here on a Monday evening and it was busy but worth it especially if you’ve never been here. It’s a hot spot for tourists! Shout out to DC (employee), who was super welcoming. A good experience but pricy!Recommend trying the whiskey cold brew!
What a place!!! Have visited a lot of Starbucks in the past but this is something unique. Spacious with different atmosphere inside. From enjoying a nice coffee by the pit fire to having a drink at the bar with an open view on the open roastery space, you can really enjoy it at different time of the day. We had to wait outside 5 mins to get in but this is worth it!!!
What a place! Only 6 of these in the entire world, this is not a normal Starbucks store but one of the 6 unique stores worldwide. You can see how the coffee roasting happens here inside the store, the coffee tastes completely different here and very rich. Plenty of food options to try out, if you are in nyc, do not miss out on this place!
Even if you arent a fan of Starbucks, youll definitely want to add this to your bucket list because it is seriously so worth the visit!A friend of mine kept raving about the Starbucks Reserve in Seattle and wanted us to try this place out. It did NOT disappoint! If youre looking for a Starbucks with everything it has to offer, then this will seriously blow every location youve ever been to completely out of the water. Theyve got a completely expanded menu with lots of specialty items and beverages.* YES, YOU CAN USE YOUR STARBUCKS REWARDS HERE, TOO! *Whiskey Barrel-Aged Cold Brew - $12.50 -- 8 fl. oz. Whoa, if you were a fan of the sweet cream cold brew then this one is definitely worth trying out. While I dont think they actually had any sort of sweet cream in this coffee, I can only imagine that the amazingly flavorful notes we tasted came from the barrel aging process they used to make it. I HIGHLY recommend this even though its got a hefty price tag.Funghi Pizza - $9 -- so its a bit expensive for a slice of pizza but its a thick slice and they cut it into six little squares thats perfect for sharing. You didnt come here to fully gorge but if you did, theyd certainly have the whole pie option for you if you felt like it. The mushrooms are a-plenty and the cheese was spot on. Definitely worth it in my opinion, just as Im sure every other menu item on there is as well.If I didnt already hoard a few New York themed cups, I certainly would have done it here. In fact, I recommend purchasing your Starbucks merchandise here specifically because the reserve has its own branded goodies.Overall, this was definitely a great place to visit and its even conveniently located right beside Chelsea Market. Need I say more?
Hands down one of the best experiences in NYC for this coffee lover! The menu is not traditional Starbucks, I did pay $14 for one coffee 😬 but so worth it! It was pretty busy when I went but I still managed to find seating. Seeing them roast the beans was very cool! The entire place is a must see for coffee lovers!
Loved it here. Unlike any Starbucks you have ever seen. Great ambience and atmosphere. Full bar and food menu available. The history behind this place is amazing. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone, especially all the coffee drinkers. Both alcohol and non alcohol available. Great place to spend your time in and/or simply hang out.Videos of this place are on my Instagram @zarinazzzgab, feel free to follow.
What a fun experience! My husband and I have always wanted to visit the Starbucks Reserve and we had no idea what we were walking into. This place is HUGE!!It has 3 floors with a bar, lots of pastry options, and coffee from different parts of the world. Tons of seating areaIt’s quite loud so I wouldn’t recommend it for studying unless you’re not easily distracted. They have a huge machine where they grind coffee. My husband and I sat at the bar and ordered some alcoholic drinks. They were AMAZING to say the least. Staff was great.Bathrooms were clean.Great place to visit! :)
The biggest Starbucks in New York! It is a must-visit for all of you coffee connoisseurs. Went there with my family and luckily got the spot next to the fireplace. Go to the merchandise section for some exclusive items perfect for a gift for you or friends. This place is absolutely massive with the coffee-making machinery on display for you to marvel at. Absolutely wonderful!
The place looks stunning and the food tastes great, but the place is highly disorganized. Just 1 person takes orders during lunch hours resulting in a 20min+ queue. A lot of other staff seemingly hang around doing very little and ignoring customers. Id recommend visiting during off peak hours for the best experience.
As the name indicates, it’s not your typical Starbucks! Great atmosphere overall. It’s an elevated and more sophisticated Starbucks experience with a broad and unique menu. The staff is always friendly and the food and drinks are quality made and fresh. It’s a little more expensive than a regular Starbucks, but worth it.
More like a tourist area here. Many tourists around. The martini set is interesting. It’s available after 1pm. A. It too strong for me. So I finished all water and took a break there before leaving. Fun experience.Tasting drinks available too. Each hot drink is in a large cup. So they are usually more expensive. A latte is $8.5+tax/tip. Sandwich $11 is a bit small. Had to take 1 more bakery(~$5). All fresh and yummy. Cocktails are $20 each except the small set $27.Many tourists taking photo around. So I went to another coffee shop to read. Definitely worth a checkout if haven’t been there.
Love the look of this place from the moment you walk in. Although, right now they have you line up outside and stagger you’re entrance, as well as verify your vaccination card. The drinks and pastry/bread are super expensive but it’s a big Starbucks Reserve in Chelsea so I guess that’s about right. The bread was super small and $8.50 and the mocha (made with dark chocolate) was $8 so we walked away spending $18 on bread and coffee. 😮 Both very good but gosh expensive. It was really busy and nowhere to sit on a Saturday.I still want to try the espresso cocktails but I can’t imagine how much they cost.Still, worth going and seeing the main m Starbucks Reserve, as there are many small ones around the city that serve the reserve coffee but don’t have this kind of ambiance.
Very nice place, good coffee, and good croissants. I would say that for the price it’s at they should roast their own coffee and fresh bake their bread, but they literally do. There is a whole bakery and coffee roasting machine in this place. And everything is great on top of that. (Also wooden plates and physical ceramic coffee cups?? Very nice.)
☕️ This place is really nice I have some comments about it.❌ Once you enter there’s no signaling indicating where you should make your order. It’s kinda confusing. They tell you where to pick up your food and coffee once you have payed for your order.⁉️ The place has another café inside. The Upstairs section is more like grab and go or a quick dine in with few seats. You have to scan the QR code to see the menu. In The downstairs section there are more tables and a waitress that takes your order.🥐 we had an almond croissant, eggs in purgatory that could be served with more bread and dark chocolate mocca. Everything was very good.👍🏼 The souvenirs are very cool!🚽 bathrooms were clean.🤑A little pricey but good.
This place is a real experience totally differente from any othe Starbucks we have visited before. The place is huge, with many different environments. Atmosphere is unique. Is a very busy place, and sometimes there is a waiting line outside. If you have chance to be in NYC, take some time to visit this Starbucks. Wont regret.
It was really nice experience! Especially I can compare the different blended coffee side by side with Coffee experience. It gave me a chance to find my own preference of coffee tastes. I strongly recommend to visit here. Even my son was so excited to see the big roasting of coffee. And surely the dessert 🍨 was good! Going well with coffee. Ill try next time too.
Awesome place to stay and relaxe coming from or starting at the High Line. Try the whiskey barrel-aged cold brew and feel the vibe of the store.Special thanks to Carlos who answered a lot of question and told us about the process that goes into every coffee bean. Also clean restrooms in the lower floors in case you need them
Phenomenal experience. I’ve been a Starbucks customer for over 20 years, but the Roastery isn’t about just coffee. This is about an experience and enjoying a moment. Plan to spend some time here. Thank you to our host, Paul, who was so welcoming and warm, and for sharing his Starbucks story. I am local to NYC and will be back!
I had the martini flight $30, which was recommended over the cold brew. They were small glasses actually- not your usual martini glasses. Each had their own distinct taste- the one with the orange peel was what I preferred. My friend helped me with the third as I didn’t really enjoy it even though I really wanted to. Ambience was nice and appealing- I’m not a Starbucks fanatic at all. Good place to do some work on a fully charged laptop as everyone has mentioned- there are no outlets but timed wifi. You have to get seated for downstairs.
Very stylish, big choice of food, super inspiring and unusual place. I never thought a Starbucks could be like this. It smells like different types of coffee and even when you wear your mask, you can smell it. Thank you for the inspiring experience that I won’t forget. 😄
If you love Starbucks coffee or not this place has it all. Amazing food and cocktails of course plenty of coffee and treats. I highly recommend waiting for the bar we had seats faster than we were told the wait would be. By the time I was done looking around we were being seated. Our server was attentive and pleasant. The Boulevardier cocktail was one of the best drinks Ive ever had. A little pricey but totally worth it. I loved the progressive bathrooms and all machines that are fun to watch the magic happen.
WOW IS THIS A NEAT STARBUCKS! I have never seen something like it. Apparently it is one of the 6 largest in the world. The bathrooms were literally amazing. One of the best public restrooms I’ve ever been in. They served coffee from all around the world. I ordered a delicious chocolate croissant. The butter literally melted in my mouth. Come here if you want to feel like you are in a factory.
My first time at roastery.Food very delicious I orderthe bun with cream cheese and smoked salmon! For dessert I tried the tiramisu! Kids cinnamon roll pizza and raspberry tart. My friend avocado toast with egg,and prosciutto bun .This Starbucks different then any others pizza, bakery, entree lasagna eggs in the pan very well made!Coffee from all over and lots of flavor!Hard to choose what to eat and drink. They have a bar also.My kids enjoy the place and the food!I love the area ..Recommend for tourists and New Yorkers Cheaper then a restaurants but a price a bit higher like a bakery or pizza place. Cozy nice and clean! We loved the event for the coffee roasters!
This Starbucks reserve is an amazing location with a delightful and amiable staff! The food items are delicious and their coffee is wonderful and fresh. Be wary that you cannot get your typical Starbucks drink (e.g. caramel macchiato, hazelnut frappes) here since they have a concentrated menu with more artisanal drinks. Overall an amazing experience that both tourists and locals love!
I don’t drink coffee but wow! This place is really nice and the service was amazing. This three-level Starbucks houses a bar for food and drinks, beautiful interiors, and smells really good! Also, dont forget to check out the restrooms😁We ordered drinks, some coffee, some alcoholic, and had a few bites after checking out the huge golden machine at the back of the store. Its a nice place to catch up with friends and lounge.
I did not know about this Starbucks until friends came to visit and wanted to go. There was a long line outside to get in. They have a guy who lets people in after a while. It is quite big and has 3 levels. The atmosphere is nice and there is a variety of food and drinks. I tried a few items and they were ok. The food was as great as I thought it would be but it was still an experience.
Coffee aficionados will love this place. Stunning interiors with overtly coffee vibes. Take some time to absorb this place and order the right coffee. They have a lot of varietals and styles which you don’t get anywhere. Must visit when in NYC. There are 5-6 different sections worth exploring each of them.
Ok yes it is a Starbucks. However, their selection of coffee is great. I asked the nice barista to recommend a dark roast and he suggested princi. It was delicious. I drink it black and the flavor was great - full bodied with subtle dark chocolate notes. Starbucks Reserve has ruined all other Starbucks for me. Pikes place will never be the same now that I have been to their Reserve Roasters. They have a large selection of pastries- tarts, cheesecake, croissants, etc. They also have a full bar in the back. They do ask for proof of vaccination. It is a beautiful space- large and open.
AMAZING EXPERIENCE⚡. Feel special because they are only 6 like this in the world. Its no just about to drink a coffee 🙅♂️. You will see how they proccess and roasted the coffee. Are you hungry? They have a lof ot things that normally you cant eat in a regular Starbucks and the most special part is the bar where you can get a cocktail🍹, really? YES. With coffee or traditional, but dont be boring and try a Espresso Martini or something differet (price average $ 22). If you buy a Souvenir, comment which one you get.I would to tell you more but I m in another place that is amazing too, the food is delicious and you can see on my Instagram @elmanudominguez ✌(check it to see always delicious food and cool places in NYC).
Starbuck Reserve very well maintained and clean. There are many tables, well spaced, so you can eat on the spot and the line to order is not long. There is also a corner of Princi, Italian bakery. Free Wi-fi and clean bathrooms. Ideal for a breakfast or just a stop by.
This Starbucks is unique and if you are a true fan you should definitely visit this one, its huge and fancy, the Starbucks experience in a whole new level, there are different areas to order and if you want to buy a souvenir there are unique options to choose from, I recommend to try the pistachio latte, it was delicious, the menu is different so take your time to make a great choice
Whenever I am in the area I make it a habit to stop in. Not only am I a fan of the whiskey barrel aged cold brew but the music, food and scenery are amazing. The staff is not only super helpful but Heaven sent when it comes to making sure you have a great experience. I personally love this location over the Seattle location because of its size and the melting pot of individuals both visiting and locals.
We decided to visit the Starbucks Reserve Roastery on our way back home. Everything we looked at including the official Starbucks website show that on Thursday, Dec 23, it opens at 8AM and closes at 9PM. We arrived and were greeted by a close sign stating they will close early starting yesterday. I understand that things do happen with the pandemic but updating the official website and maybe Google maps is standard procedure right now and if not, should be incorporated in standard business operating procedures. We lost time and $$ because of the commute which could have been easily mitigated with proper customer service.
GREAT SPACE DISGUSTING STUFF ATTITUDE!When I entered the Roastery I was amazed by the specious atmosphere right away. However my excitement was crushed at the spot. This place is packed and super crowded all the time so no wonder you shoud keep your eye for a table all the time. So we waited for people to finish their meal and we approached the table right away after they left to make sure we occupied the spot for us.Table obviously was dirty and filled with dishes and trash. No one even payed attention and didnt bother to come to clean it for us. So I super nicely asked one of the crew members if he may call someone to clean a table for us.Instead I was given super rude speech how dumb am I, because this table wasnt ready until is cleaned. So I kept explaining that place is crowded so you have to occupy the table right away cuz there are a lots of people who want it also.Instead of doing hos job this guy told me a story that getting a table there is a gambling, so you have to wait. Whaaat? Also he was treating me like an alien, I have pretty good English and he pretended for some time he couldnt understand me at all.Guys, what kind of customer treatment is this? This place is really overpriced and I expected at least some respect and a clean table for the bill I paid, instead I had to beg a Starbucks stuff member to do his job?!I am really angry and furious of the way you made me feel at this place. Never again. Will not recommend. Shame!
A feast for the eyes and the palate. The roastery is indeed a working coffee roasting facility, but presented to the public in a beautiful yet functional way. Almost steampunk. A very special thank-you to Angus (in charge of the operation)!! He was incredibly generous with his time and stepped me through the entire coffee roasting process. His passion and professionalism was infectious and we had a most interesting discussion covering the art and the science of his craft. I have a new appreciation for Starbucks. I also tried the whisky-barrel-aged coffee. It was nothing short of a revelation... Balanced and smooth, with the flavor mid-notes inherited from the barrel and none of the harshness. Its a must-try but be warned - it will wreck your current coffee habit. This place must be experienced in person.
You can stand on top of one another both in and outside in a line of 100+ people and sit at tables practically touching one another, but you can’t walk 5 feet from your table without your mask on to grab your purchase. Definitely a cool place but the Covid guidelines at this point are ridiculous. And $20 for a sparkling water and slice of pizza is a bit absurd even by NYC standards.
Went there for dessert after brunch and I had the best espresso martini, well I had 3 because I order the flight. The brownie chocolate cake was sweet enough to pair with. Its a beautiful place with nice vibes and people. Keep in mind that drinks take longer when theyre busy.
This is actually a must see in NYC! The most fantastic Starbucks Ever! Stumbled upon it headed for Chelsea Market and looking through the window, it was like Whoa....whats this!It was like the gates of Heaven opening up upon entering! A giant Starbucks with Bar, Cafe, Roastery, Sandwich Shop! It had it all.Truley amazed and cant wait to show other people on future trips to NYC.
Incredibly Sloooww service... (this was morning, and I stopped forbreskfast). When finally the coffee was brewed, I did not get the one I had ordered; the Barista explained that this was the coffee I had ordered, and I was not familiar with brewing coffee...Ok, I got it, I should learn more about fine coffee brewing, but can I get my moorning latte after 30 mins wait time..? I leftI visited again, a few days later: no change: the line almost as at an airport security, 45 min wait time... How come no one at Starbucks measure wait time?Focacia mozzarella was clod... Greek yogurt was ok
I really loved this place. The nice thing about it is that it doesnt sell your typical Starbucks items; its more specialty type of Starbucks products that you can only find if you visit the reserve. I really enjoyed how they had a bar. A tray of three different types of espresso martinis were ordered and they were all delicious. This place is a must go if youre a fan of Starbucks coffee, treats, and want drinks that include alcohol.
Update 12/26/2021 - Bar is not open, no cocktails are being served. Other food and drinks options are available for to go only.-------------------First visit 10/09/2021 - Not just coffee, they have amazing cocktails too.Tip: Make sure you put in your name at the bar, if it’s little crowded and roam then roam around in the shop.Note:There was a short queue for going in, they are checking for proof of vaccination and Any form of ID to confirm.
Was randomly stopped as I walked in front of this Starbucks by its doorman to come inside for this experience.I’m not a coffee drinker but at his suggestion I ordered the Hazelnut Bianca Latte-very nice choice. Then another time he suggested I have the lasagna. That was great too, as seen in the pic below. The bar was not as great of an experience as I was denied being seated on two different occasions because of “the change-over from lunch to dinner”. After another attempt I was seated and the service and drinks I had was decent.Unfortunately I’ve not been back but it’s a nice place.
Amazing experience, more than just a Starbucks. Awesome staff always friendly and with good attitude. If you love coffee this is a place to be in New York. (Many types of coffee to choose from)Incredible decor. You can get even some amazing drinks from the bar.Rostery looks amazing!
Boujiest starbucks i’ve ever experienced. there is a bar by Arriviamo inside, as well as a restaurant-esque seating area. there are also many more food and drink options that a normal starbucks. it has a fireplace, an elevator, and it’s 4 floors in total, which is very unique for a starbucks. note: items are more significantly more expensive than the regular starbucks.
Loved the ambiance and unique menu options. Cost a bit more than the usual Starbucks prices but definitely worth it.I highly reccomend the tiramisu. It wasnt super sweet, and had a great richness to it. Absolutely loved it!I also reccomend the dark chocolate mocha. Very bold flavors and also wonderful customer service from the staff!
Think Starbucks but if it were a nice sit down restaurant. That’s pretty much what the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in NYC is. Love how friendly the staff are here.If you’re looking for desserts to order, I would recommend the Chocolate and Candied Hazelnut Tart. A pretty solid choice and indulgent in a good way.The Starbucks Reserve Roastery offers a variety of menu items (such as seasonal drinks, cocktails, pizza, bread, desserts,…etc.) that are not available at their regular stores like their Strawberry Balsamic Spritz. According to my friend, it tasted better than she had expected.Tip: When you enter the Starbucks Reserve Roastery there is a pretty large area (to the left) where you can order your drinks and food. You are offered sparkling water when you sit down. The area to the right is where you can order your drinks and food to go.
One of my favorite Starbucks to visit - such a beautiful store layout.A bit disappointed with seating options: pretty sparse and the bar / dining area was restricted off to “dine in” customers paying for a full meal.A bit unfortunate to be turned away from seats because we only ordered a $10 Starbucks Reserve Roastery drink : (
If you’re a frequent coffee drinker, this might be a place you want to stop by. personally i don’t drink much coffee myself, but it was a pretty interesting place for starbucks to make. there obviously wasn’t much to do. you walk around, maybe wait in the line for coffee, and sit outside. that’s pretty much it. not too much exciting about it. but there are some stores in the area so if you’re shopping around you mind as well stop by. not a place i would come back to, but nice visit!
Ill definitely recommend people to go here if theyre in visiting New York City, its an amazing place where you can see how your coffee and Starbucks is made and where it comes from. I had the pistachio latte and it was one of the best lattes Ive ever had in my life and it is a really cool place to visit, the staff are very friendly but the food they have is not fresh so Id recommend not to get any food but the coffee is amazing!
This place is absolutely insane! It is a MUST do if you are traveling to NYC! Starbucks 2.0! I’d give it a 6th star if I could!First of all they are roasting their own coffee! The employees are all super friendly. Their training must be superb. They asked if we had any questions while watching the roasters. That day it was a Costa Rican coffee, how long, the process and what they do! The same goes for the experience bar and the food!So let’s talk food. They make their own bread, and it’s all gourmet. Avocado toast, salmon toast, pizzas and desserts. It was stunning. Why don’t all Starbucks have this! Then we went to the experience bar, friends got the aged barreled cold brew and it was the best I’ve ever tried. I did the coffee explorer with a coffee from Rawanda, Brazil and Columbia (all roasted in house at the store) - they have pour over, siphon, drip,And more! And if you are not into coffee, buy some great gifts for those who are!Best Starbucks Ever
The following cities has the offical Starbucks Reserve store Seattle.Shanghai.Milano.New York.Tokyo.ChicagoThis is one of the New York locations they have a large variety of merchandise for purchase that is signified to Starbucks family as well as coffee beans that are aged and reserved for particular time to be enjoyedThis is a great location for you to relax and enjoy your coffee in the middle of a metropolis New York City. If you plan to grab a quick bite and a quick coffee to eat and drink on your way this is not the place for youHowever, as a Starbucks Card Collector (I have over 400 cards collected around the globe). I am disappointed that there is no Starbucks Reserve Card for New York City
An unique experience to be here as this Starbucks Reserve is only one of six in the world. Beautiful architecture inside out, delicious food and a very strong, bold nitro coffee. Be ready to show ID and vaccination card. Also bring your power bank if you intend to be here for a little longer, no outlet available.
Great place to visit and try something new. We had such a great experience the first time that we came back one more time before leaving NYC.We had the siphon flight — AMAZING!! Food, dessert, coffee and service were exceptional. Shout out to JR — He gave us amazing service and great coffee advice!!Highly recommend a visit or maybe even two!!
THERE IS NO EXCUSE TO TAKE 15 to 20 MINUTES TO SERVE A REGULAR AMERICANO after the payment (plus 6 to 8 minutes on the line to pay, 6,28$ by the way, in a paper cup)! The place is really beautiful, no doubt about that and probably that’s why I give it a 2 ⭐️ ⭐️ review but the service is the worst you can imagine!!!Make no mistake, the staff is polite and nice but the organization is completely inefficient! And I went there twice on the same week, different time, different busyness, same long wait for something that takes 30 seconds to be done!!!Oh, and in one of the occasions, I got inside precisely at 20:28 (have a picture at the door that proofs it) after more than 25 minutes between payment and getting my black coffee, the security person, asked us ( and everyone inside) to leave because they’re closing… there were people waiting to be served!!!As I said, the worst and ineffective service you can ever get!
Very cool place to visit. It looked like Willy Wonka in there with the tubes running around delivering beans (or at least appearing to) to roasting. We went to the bar (Arriviamo) and ordered the Espresso Martini Flight and the Cold Brew Spiced Rum. The bartenders were so fascinating to watch as they put these drinks together and we had the entire place to people watch - 3 floors)
Its basically a fancy, over priced coffee shop. If you LOVE Starbucks than youll probably like it. It was cool to see I guess. They manufacture coffee there and the whole system was pretty neat and the decor was beautiful and gave a really good environment but honestly a waist of time to go out of your way to see. They dont have any mainstream Starbucks drinks and the bar is $20 a drink. It wasnt our cup of tea (or coffee haha).
I mean it was nice looking and the drinks were good, but lines were so long. They should hire more people and not have people wait ~30 mins to order 2 drinks. The food looked amazing but when I asked the people next to me how was the food they said it’s Plain and it’s all for looks. Sadden but I would have still bought it if lines weren’t so long and I didn’t have to fight for seats .
Been to many reserves, including the one in Shanghai. This is a great little spot by Chelsea market.Must try the espresso martini flight, along with some of their local craft brews on draft. Great little resting spot to take a small break in the big city.A must visit if around the area!
The place is just amazing, a totally different experience from any other Starbucks. The smell of coffee, the different spaces, food and types of coffee. The perfect place to grab a coffee after walking around in the Chelsea Market. The price is quite fair and the experience is well worth it.
Big. Beautiful. Bougie. This is a great place to learn about coffee and try some some of Starbucks fancier roasts. Also, the bathrooms are clean and unisex! Theres also an elevator here so its accessible as well. If I lived in the neighborhood, Id probably be here often.
Great Great coffee. Very nice experience and everyone was super helpful. Everyone was smiling and even through these tough times they did their jobs with smiles on their faces. Cheers to that!!! They sell a lot of merchandise and coffee beans. I got a iced latte and it was amazing.
Food and coffee where good but it was the slowest experience I ever got. Coffee standed on the counter for over 10 while I waited for over the counter items. One of them came wrong... 3 people before me all had wrong items in their order.Seems everyone is nice but untrained. Feel sorry for the team working here. Particularly when there about as many employees as customers.
Wow!!! Absolutely amazing experience. The staff was friendly and the coffee and food were delicious. My boyfriend and I came in feb 2019 and it was busy but we were able to find seating pretty quickly and enjoyed our time. Definitely a sight to see if you’re in the area. The sandwiches are delicious. Obviously this was $$$$$$ but well worth it!
The coffee itself is great, above any regular Starbucks. Beans are not burned or bitter. The place aesthetic is very nice, however a bit disappointed seeing that the place was very dirty, every table had crumbs, coffee spills, etc… No one was really keeping up with the cleaning. Disappointed by the standards that this reserve keeps.
The interior looks fantastic and the staff is quite nice. You can get coffees you wouldn’t at your normal Starbucks and it is geared towards coffee aficionados. I am subtracting one star because the wait time for a table at the Experience Bar was long and the bar suffered from not having a host who’d tie operations of front of the house with wait staff’s availability.
Such a painful review.. so lets start with the Pros.-Gorgeous setting, great area beautiful building with rich design. Definitely not your typical starbucks.-Almost everything we ordered was truly delicious-Smokey Cold Fashioned was one of the greatest drinks I have ever had-Dark chocolate mocha was very smooth and required no doctoring at all-Roastery Old Fashioned was goodSo now that the pros are stated lets discuss why I am giving a 2 star.1st and foremost, this has got to be some of the worst service I have ever experienced. We wanted a table for lunch they said 10 minutes (multiple tables were open), ok no big deal.20 mins later we were still waiting, finally the SECURITY GUARD sat us at a table and told the staff, Thank you sir.Our waiter was pleasant enough but never checked in and we had to keep calling him over to order drinks and food.It took another 20 minutes just to get more water and another 20-25 minutes to get the second order of drinks. Pretty sure our server forgot to put the drinks in because he came back asking if we wanted another drink. Other then that one time, the whole hour and a half we were there we were not asked how we were doing or if they could get us anything else. We had to flag the waiter down for everything. To be fair, I do not believe all of this was entirely his fault, I think there is so serious managerial issues occurring that were out of his control.-The Salmon with Avocado toast was delicious but there was very little salmon just a paper thin slice.-The Margarita Pizza was terrible basically a giant breadstick-The Tiramisu was very good minus THE HAIR that we found.Ive truly never been somewhere that showed such extremes of both good and bad.I would hesitantly go back just because the food and drinks were great and maybe just to put in an order to go.
Try Roastery Old Fashioned cocktail up in the bar section. 🍸 Amazing blend with iwai Japanese whiskey.I understand why the review and experience of people can be very different. Because its a huge and busy place, you may not be served in good time.My first time experience was pretty much 3 stars but this time, servers up in the bar section were great and of course the drinks made up for everything... if you love Starbucks taste.
Now this is one of the greater highlights in The Meat Market District just off of W.14th wedged between the Apple Store and Chelsea Market. It’s very popular with everyone including tourism.Hard to say whether the ambiance is relative to its multi-level interior design architecturally similar to the Essex Market over on Delancey Street … except less busy. Maybe. In any event this is a midday crowd and for the most phenomenal yet feels like waiting in line at LaGuardia or Terminal “something-or-other-at-JFK” just queues endlessly.Which leads to patience waiting to get to the ordering spot over 10-deep—does despair set in? Yup. Restless to grab a cup of Joe and get on with it. (Well, nothing happened…) I left.So much for great experiences being more yuppy.
It is a cool space but it is very slow and staff is very unfriendly. I couldn’t find a seat to enjoy the coffee that I ordered. When I tried to sit somewhere, the staff let me know that I wasn’t allowed to sit there. You are also not able to pay for the Starbucks app which is hilarious
If you are a Starbucks fan, a coffee or tea fan, or just someone who likes cool hip places, this is the spot for you. Inside you will find incredibly beautiful custom copper roasters, water percolators, and all of the coffee or tea smells that you could dream of. While here be sure to sit a the bar and order your favorite beverage. Personally I think it was even better than normal, but at the very least the experience and atmosphere definitely add to it! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Do expect a wait, though it moves reasonably well.
The coolest place to hangout with your friends, have a drink and just enjoy the beautiful design of the place. Cocktail are perfectly done too!Definitely try the flights and the cheese board and the tiramisu. Internet is also stable and you can rely on it for work. Wish it had a communal table with plugs but i understand why it doesnt (due to being a touristy place)
A very pleasant surprise, not your typical coffee place, it is a combination of bakery, coffee, bar, and souvenir store all in one gigantic place, the aroma of fresh roasted coffee enhances the visit along with interesting pieces of art and coffee roasting equipment, outdoor sitting is available all around the store. A perfect place for coffee and pastries and why not a drink or two of your favorite cocktail or spirit.
With SOOO many employees behind the coffee bar, the service was ridiculously slow. Our server was really attentive however she couldn’t get them to prepare our order any faster. We saw at least 3 baristas prepare drinks and sample them in front of the customers. I get that they may be a training center however they need to foremost train customer service. Would not recommend.
Just the most amazing experience a coffee lover could ask for. Sheer variety of options leaves one with Fomo. With a variety of drinks, food and even merchandise, this place is a must go to. Only con is the insane pricing OBVIOUSLY, but a sporadic visit here and there wont hurt.
Absolutely a terrible and scammy place. Predatory pricing , horrible rude servers and foamy disgusting espresso martinis. During seemingly hard economic times a place like this is a joke. You’re supposed to feel welcomed and enjoy the experience but all I felt from the moment I sat down at that bar was disrespectful staff and low quality goods in exchange for exorbitant prices.
This place is an experience for sure! So much food options and lines everywhere (but they go at a decent pace). The food is great and the coffee is even better if you can believe it! The Arriviamo bar on thr inside is awesome and there are so many souvenirs to choose from. Loved our 1st trip here~
I’ve been to a few Starbucks around the world and this was really amazing. A shout out to the man that welcomed us. He made us feel like we went to a different world and put a smile on our faces. The food and drinks are expensive but it’s worth trying it at least once
If you take it almost like a museum experience, I think its interesting to see how they roast the coffee and all the different gadgets and gizmos. However, the long line to enter, long line to order, and overall congestion for an artisan cup of coffee that can be found at many different coffee shops in NYC just isnt worth it to me.Try it out once to see the hype and decide for yourself.
Horrible, horrible, horrible attitudes from the staff. Constantly sighing and snickering with each other over the lines, preparing drinks slowly, doesn’t even bother calling out to the owners of several drinks. The person who took our order was very nice, but what a sad thing to witness, especially with the many excited tourists and locals on line waiting patiently to pay triple the price of a normal Starbucks visit. Shame. For Starbucks’ supposed flagship cafe… there shouldn’t be this much fluctuation in consistency and customer service.
Overrated. Long line that moves slowly because only one person on bar. Lots of other staff wondering around however. My drink was double what I pay at other Starbucks. My friend got some sort of mocha espresso drink , and when they handed it off to her , it contained just an inch of a dark sauce in the bottom. We stood there looking at it for a while wondering what the heck it was. Turns out they forgot to put the espresso and milk in it. Seems odd to hand off a drink that is clearly not complete. In a city filled with incredible coffee shops , I recommend going somewhere else.
The building, space, and interior design are amazing. Kudos to how theyve used this enormous space. Its big enough for an entire roasting system, and you can actually see how starbucks burns its coffee beans to bitterness. You have several counters and ways for you to exhibit your pretentiousness. And if those arent enough for you, you can shell out $18-$40 for a half-pound bag of coffee with various notes, hints, and overtones of this and that - like a fine wine with a relative price to match.Far and away my favorite thing, was the display of sport jackets that look like the material they use to make coffee bags. Love the sporty blue elbow patches. The jackets are stenciled with what might be logos from actual coffee growers. Although, theyre probably phony like the rest of the place. The only saving grace to the place is the decor and the bar on a mezzanine level. You can sit up there and numb yourself to the affectation going on below
This is a very over rated place. I did try 4 kinds if coffees which were super expensive. For a Grande they charge you $8.5 plus tax. I tried Cortada, Pistachio Latte and Dark Chocolate Mocha! Cortado is an espresso shot with a little milk, gives you a good kick of energy. Pistachio latte is too sweet. It barely tastes like coffee. If you want to enjoy the taste of pistachio milk then you should buy it. Dark Chocolate Mocha is average. I think you should go to a regular Starbucks shop and enjoy your drink at $5!The concept is nice if you want to see how coffee is roasted and the interior is warm.
They have the most inhospitable staff I have seen. The drinks were not great. The 1 star is only for how the place is done in terms of visual experience . The chairs and furniture was not comfortable to sit for long. I would probably never go there again. The queue to simply pick a coffee was so long. Should have some way to order and pick on some sort of self help screens.
As Coffee lover I found paradise at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery. You can see up close and personal coffee roasting process. You feel like walking into a museum like coffee shop. Also, their is a bar that serves coffee Inspired drinks. We had the most expensive Carajillo we have had. But it was worth the experience. Have to go and have your favorite coffee. Also there is food bar with pizzas and other items. Building has connecting bridge to Chelsea Market and Highline can be accessed next to building also.
Great atmosphere and incredible staff. Got a clover brew iced and a tasty piece of strawberry tart and bought coffee to take home. Seriously, this will ruin your local experience. I really miss the clover brews at select local stores. Next time I will try the siphon coffee that I watched being brewed. Please open a reserve in Portland Starbucks!
Hands down thee BEST visit I ever had to any Starbucks. Every. Single. Person was super helpful, nice and knowledgeable. I loved every minute of it. You can use your card to collect points but not redeem. They are letting you in to buy but dining obviously is outdoors and they have like a mini bar with music outside as well. A++
This place definitely takes the cake for most unique coffee I’ve ever had! I tried the cold brew aged in whiskey barrels and it was the best and worst decision. Best because I LOVED IT! And worst because I can only get it at Starbucks reserve which is not easy to find! However, the hazelnut croissant more than made up for my sadness at this realization. The tiramisu was underwhelming but it was a lovely experience and ambience nonetheless. I’d definitely go back and bring friends!
NYC vacationNever heard of a Starbucks reserve but was very interested to see what was different than a typical Starbucks; oh boy was I in for a treat. This location is right beside a Google building and Chelsea market which has a lot of different food choices inside. Inside the reserve, they have a gift shop, a big machine that is used to filter the coffee beans, a bar and a cafe style setup. Theres uni sex washrooms which are very slick and they have seating in and outdoors. They had multiple different coffees on brew and speciality drinks. Aside from that, they also have speciality pastries that Ive never seen from typical spots. I had their 2022 Carribean coffee and a raspberry tart and a cannoli. We also tried an affogoato which was fantastic. The atmosphere is very relaxing, modern and clean.Bought myself a magnetic water bottle which was very awesome though it was pricey.Highly recommend this spot for coffee lovers as well as Starbucks fans!!!
If you are a Starbucks fan, this is the place for you! All the staff there were very attentive. There are special coffee/drinks that aren’t available in other Starbucks that are sold here so just ask them for their recommendations. They have outdoor seating only right now if you want to enjoy it your drink sitting down.
As a former employee, I was really shocked at how rude the baristas are. Drinks here cost $10 minimum, so if a costumer doesn’t enjoy the drink (several of which are unique drinks) they should be alright with making it right. After all, Starbucks famous slogan is: “YOUR DRINK SHOULD BE PERFECT, EVERY TIME.IF NOT, LET US KNOW AND WE’LL MAKE IT RIGHT.” The manager here told me to get back in line and order something else when I told them I didn’t like the frozen tea. The $10 frozen tea. And I was given attitude. Please show kindness to your life long costumers and be open to remaking a drink if they don’t love it. That’s the norm in every single Starbucks.
Good coffee, nice options from a regular starbucks. Important to note that all the starbucks reserve locations sell everything they sell here, only difference is the tastings the touring the place if you buy the ticketsWe had the hazelnut bianco which was a bit sweet, tasted very similar to a ferraro rochet. Also had the dark mocha one, which was the better of the two
Visiting from Houston Texas. An amazing experience!! If your coffee lover a Starbucks fanatic this is a must-see must see destination an amazing experience they have a bar of rotisserie a cafe its just unbelievably phenomenal.I would love for one of these to maybe make it this way to Texas one day especially the bar, preferably Houston.
Now with de COVID restrictions, I think that this place is overvalue. I know that that all the Starbucks chain have this standard of maybe not the best coffee but the most comfortable place to stay and chill a bite.Nothing of the great decoration and comfortable seats will be available. However, there are interesting drinks and different kinds of coffee that the baristas could do for you that won’t be in any other Starbucks. The food is expensive and not the best, particularly at this location if your plan is to eat and have plenty time, I would say “have a good coffee here and buy very good food at the next street at Chelsea market”
Interesting and different Starbucks, they don’t sell the usual Starbucks menu. Their menus were completely different and huge. They had a nice setup and decorations. Really enjoy watching the barista making the drinks with different techniques. Order a small Irish con Crema which was really tasty and strong coffee. Overall, great place to grab a small drink and enjoy watching the barista making drinks.
Whenever you find yourself in Chelsea, Starbucks Reserve Roastery is the Epitome of delight for the Starbucks lovers. Must trys are; freshly baked croissants, artisan sandwiches, pastries and of course the many different coffees from all over the world. The gift shop is also filled with unique gifts.
Visually stunning architecture and real working machinery inside. Unique exclusive blends available, roasted and brewed fresh when you order. The staff were all very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Something for everyone, even if you dont like coffee or regular Starbucks.

2022-05-21This is the nicest Starbucks Ive never been to. Everything he is maintained to the highest degree. They receive the beans green and roast them on site. After their roasted their ground and then brewed into coffee and espresso. If youre near by its definitely worth a stop to check out all the equipment. If youre lucky theyll be roasting while youre there.

2022-06-10The wonderful people who work here are quite knowledgeable and amazingly pleasant. It is very busy here, with 4 different experiences on 3 floors, but everything moves smoothly and quicker than one would think. There are many items of food found here exclusively, to my experience, and a wide selection of exclusive cups and other merchandise. I would give them 6 stars if I could. Highly recommend!

2022-01-07An amazing space and a Starbucks bar, where you can enjoy your cocktails made with coffee … and a full bar. Excellent place to hang out. The food section is much more expansive than the usual

2022-02-17Great place to hang out! Don’t expect to get a lot of work done on a laptop though because the place was intentionally designed with no visible outlets. It would be great for meetings. The architectural design is beautiful! The coffee is good and they offer additional, unique items on their menu than the traditional Starbucks locations. They have a variety of pastries downstairs. The raspberry cheesecake is very good. The Roasted Squash Salad was very tasty. I tried the espresso martini flight which comes with 3 different sample size martini’s and I was honestly expecting them to be better given that it is made with the well known commercial brand coffee.

2022-03-03Been here before for coffee and saw the bar but had a line at that time. But today wasnt so busy and decided to try out the liquor bar. Well yes its out of the ordinary on pricing. But drinks are tasty and well worth it. I tried Final Say and let me tell you my taste buds felt every little ingredient added. It was tasty and well enough of everything. Properly served and the vibe is absolutely chilled. Make sure to reserve ahead of time if you want to come here. Because even on a non busy day i waited for 20min to sit at a bar.

2022-03-05This is one of the nicest Starbucks Reserves that I’ve ever visited. There are customer-accessible areas on four stories. They even have a liquor license with a bar on the top balcony floor. It hosts a large central roaster that is fun to see action. Lots of seating indoors and also outdoors in a covered heated parklet on the street. The bakery items, sandwiches, swag, coffee drinks, and even restrooms are plentiful.
