This is a very underrated mall as a New Yorker. This mall is in good Competition with the Mills at Jersey Gardens. Both Malls mention have their advantages and disadvantages, however the biggest advantages. Biggest benefit is that both are easily accessible to Manhattan...... wait what now? Yes. Take the SIM4C Bus and it drops you off there. But I love it more for the fact that they have some known European chains such as Lidls and Primark. So if you dont want to trek to Kings Plaza or American Dream (Besides Sunday due to Bergen County Blue Law), this is a mall that you will find to be a great place.
The skinny white girl with brown hair working in Hollister was racist. She made this distasteful joke and refused to apologize for it. Instead, she kept trying to justify herself by claiming it was a joke. Mind you, she said the joke two times, loud enough for me to hear. The other coworker doesn’t even stop her. It was so unprofessional. I usually don’t have any bad experience in this mall, but the experienced I had today was enough to make me not want to return.
You gotta see what they did with the parking garage! They created a wonderful outdoor dining area you can sit at, and its well decorated, and cozy! They also allow indoor dining in the food court also.Brand new shops opened, and everything looks neat and clean. All the Christmas decorations are going up!! Definitely visit!
Ok, I’ve grown up with the SI Mall. It was hot garbage for so many years! With literally no reason to go there other than the teriyaki chicken place lol. In the last couple years it’s come up! The mall, the food court, the theater! It has a lot more to be desired, but it’s a good couple hours to be spent at the Staten Island mall.
There’s a section in the food court that stays closed. Even on the weekend when the tables are crowded is when they STILL close a huge section of the seating area and I have to sit next to strangers to eat. Which I HATE doing. Really silly management going on in this mall.
As far as malls go, this mall is fairly good. Its not as big as the Paramus or Menlo Park malls but it has a fairly solid selection of stores and the food court isnt that bad. Theyre also expanding and constantly adding newer, more modern stores to fit in with the changing needs of their consumer base. All in all its a pretty solid mall with two floors though not as expansive as nearby stores outside of New York.
This mall has all the in style fashions that we dont see in York pa. The shoe selection is so great. The prices are right on target and they even have lots of good deals. If you are lucky enough to live by this mall , enjoy it. We live in pa and dont have anything like this near us!
The mall was busy but huge with a lot of high end stores and easy to find and get around. the food court was decent. Love the mall. Great stores. Great place for the families to visit. I highly recommend it. This is the only indoor mall in Staten island. There is Zara, hm, michael kors, guess, loccitane, sephora, primark, etc.
Decent. Not too many people were wearing masks. Especially customers. Most of the restrooms are nasty but a nice security guard let me use the Family restroom on the 2nd floor because there was a crazy person in the mens. Also, the layout is interesting. Free parking, and a bunch of stores wayyy too far spread out.
This mall used to be nice, now it’s nothing but an empty space and some weird stores selling useless stuff and a place for kids to hangout and cause trouble. All big brands closed shop for whatever reason. Now we have to travel to NJ to shop or order stuff on line and cross your fingers stuff fits. If you want to shop go to NJ.
The Staten Island mall has definitely grown over the last five years. I would love crossing the bridge to visit Menlo Mall or Woodbridge mall in NJ as opposed to Staten Island’s mall back in the day growing up as a child. Oh goodness things have changed they have everything there now I love the many options offered in the collection of shops. I also noticed how diverse the mall has become and that is a welcoming site. Offering a lot of something for everyone.
This mall has changed drastically. It is now for the super rich. There are jewelry stores every other store. I went trying to find a place to fix my sons watch. The main watch store was closed. So, I went into three stores and asked each sales person where there was another watch store. They sent me for a walk all around the mall not finding any watch store. I ended up back at the original store sitting on the floor because there was no place to sit. Finally, the owner of the watch store showed up and I got my watch fixed. The price was great but I do not like how this mall has changed.
Been going here for years, its nice that security has gone up. The only thing I would say is that since you need to show proof of vaccination to eat in the cafeteria, its strange that they dont say anything to the people standing and eating on edges of the bar side tables when they arent vaccinated.Otherwise, since the malls expansion its been super great shopping here. Really big variety of stores and not too confusing.
So this mall are good but why is one star because i want you guys to know :there are police walking on parking lot and put tickets for cars whats have maybe expired registrations or any other problems with it so be careful when you park your car around this mall ,also is only one bathroom close to premark store on second floor , if you need to do your business have in mine you have to found it on time .
I am shaking my head.. Mgt at SI says they cant inforce ADA or Wheelchair accessibility.. EVEN moms with carriages/strollers cant fit into many Stores. Handicap spaces are filled with able bodied people who.. refuse to walk. PPL are parking in the Blue lines and van spaces. Good news famiiy bathrooms and handicap stalls..
I asked the owner at Perfume Palace on first floor where the restroom is. She told me “She don’t know and she is not supposed to tell me where it is”.And then I tried to look for it on the phone map, then she told me I can’t stand on her property, which is 5’ away from her booth. Very rude, probably selling fake perfumes which I’m going to report.
This mall unfortunately is going downhill. All there are are cheap stores with disposable clothes aimed at the under 21 crowd.... why are there 12 or more cheap womens clothing stores???? And Macys, what a disaster. No staff at the registers, you spend a half hour looking for a cashier to ring you up. Why is there no Loft anymore, Eileen Fisher, J. Jill, a William Sonoma, Restoration Hardware, a Bloomingdales or Nordstrom?Only reason I go is for Lands End and Zara.
The new additions to the Staten Island Mall make it a destination for people of all ages. Dave and Busters is fun every so often, the new AMC Theater is gorgeous and has food sent to your seat, and the redesigned food court has some very tasty options.Lidl and Primary both offer amazing value for the dollar, and the parking garage has done a lot to alleviate parking problems. Additionally, they will have food truck festivals and other events such as the carnival in the picture in the mall parking lot. Mall ownership has made the right moves to attract SI residents to the area once again.
I always liked the Staten Island Mall and will always go to do some shopping there if necessary, but Im really not that crazy about the fancy decor thats been added over the past several years. To me it was much nicer when I started going there time and again in the late 1970s.
I love this mall and so popular that everybody including my program and my friends in case when the weather gets hot or rainy then we have a air conditioner to cool us down. We take a tour at the mall and the food court was spectacular and fresh wood tables including Dave and Busters to play games and AMC Movie Theater.
I remember when I heard this the first time I thought this mall was so big and cool but then when I went there like 2 years ago It wasnt as good looking as we thought and was boring sorry just my experience hope you can make it better and make it look better thanks , here is how it looked
Love the new renovation the mall had. The new AMC dine-in theater is so cool, and the chairs are so comfortable. Food court has a new look too and I believe the only Dave and Busters on the island. Would have given 5 stars if the tables were clean more especially during the pandemic. Overall I love the new look.
Took the family to the movies and ordered dinner to our seats, had a great time. The theater was spotless and organized seating, staff was corteous and the food was excellent. I know its Dinner & a movie but the one thing I will say needs to be addressed is the pricing. Its easy triple the price what you would pay in a diner . 2 burgers and fries and a kids meal $70.00 Thats out of hand now.
In love with this place. You would think that for such a place like Staten Island where not much happens. They would have an average mall. But no… this mall is huge. Way bigger than anything else. I would compare it to the Macy’s mall in Manhattan. Gigantic, and has lit everything. If you can find it there, then it doesn’t exist.
The store next ro journeys is called GREAT OUTDOORS I was greeted with kindness I felt welcomed I was helped and I wasnt being watched as if I was stealing I had an amazing shopping experience buying ugg boots the employee stein is the best professional. When I go into macys or journeys looking for uggs they never have what they display. In journeys Im watched like a criminal and in macys Im ignored so it felt good going to a store that had what I wanted and made me enjoy shopping again we need more kind people who know how to treat every customer equally 😊
Typical mall inside. The outside redesign is horrible. Not enough parking, not enough space to drive. The new design cannot accommodate all the people that come here safely. SI drivers in their majority are brainless. That trait coupled with general lack of space and enforcement creates a hazard. In short, it’s neither safe to drive nor walk
Very surprised there was no seating for unvaccinated people in food court. Its ok too take their money shopping in the mall, but dont let them sit down to eat. And whats this sign I see in the mall, no guns allowed. What thats about? Really! If youre wondering, Im Vaccinated.
SI Mall is an eventful place to shop. Youll find every popular clothing store here. Also, theres sit-down restaurants as well as eateries for a quick bite. Make-up, jewelry, sports, phone, candy, candles & everything for the house stores. Its not as crowded these days, you know...COVID🙄 ....its still a nice place to hang for a couple of hours or to run in and grab what you need. Oh, theres plenty of parking.
My retired cousin did not have accessibility in the mall and no restaurant in a mall that has been established for five years. The security and staff on our visit were not helpful and somewhat clueless in guiding people who travel from Manhattan and yonkers to spend a leisurely Monday day by shopping. This experience was horrific and was not ADA friendly.
Honestly.... its not as good as it used to be, my only favorite stores are Spencers and Hot Topic and theyre sorta lacking now with good merchandises now these days. Im not going to ride the S79 from Brooklyn all the way there just to glance at a few things and go back home to my borough in disappointment
The place was relatively empty and as for the food court, it was boring, not much veriety of food options even for a Mall Food Court. Just plain boring and felt the place is kind of unhappy and cold.If I’ve helped, thank you for clicking the “LIKE” button! My Ratings: Price $$Service 2*, Comfort 4*, Bathroom 4*## Will I visit this place again? Maybe!
I just love the mall. One thing that I will say is that Ll the changes seem to me to be a waste. The new stores are nice but the parking areas needed more thought. Maneuvering the parking lot is horrible, exiting the mall itself is terrible and a lot of the stores that were old favorites are now gone. The idea may have been to bring a more upscale appearance and lure more designer stores. However, if designer items are what you desire, Short Hills is just a few minutes away and Im very sorry to say it but, our mall just cant compete...even with all the changes. Bring on the new stores but wo the changes, all the old favorites might not have been pushed out due to demand for higher rents. Again, just my opinion.
I cannot give an accurate description of the mall ad I didnt go inside. My family and I attended the staten island carnival. The carnival itself was very... how do I say...dated. I understand that it is a Carnival and that very idea is dated but everything was old, rusty and dirty.
Beautifully redesigned mall, plentiful in stores stairs and escalators for getting around and ample parking spaces and entertainment centers. The major detractor here will be children and young people gallivanting throughout the mall without face masks or coverings with the security guards not being able to do much in the way of enforcement, whereas individual stores are stricter on mask mandates. Check your preferred store schedule and arrive as early as possible to avoid the crowds.
Huge mall, a lot of stores, huge area for parking, great food court, awesome stores, amazing place. Stores are next to each other and some are together in a place indoors. There are stores away from the actual mall but not too far they are in the building but kind of away from the section of indoor mall. Separate stores and right next to each other. In winter great to go in indoor mall. Overall it’s a great huge place.
It is great, wonderful updates to the mall. Only downside is the way they made the parking lot and path to drive, it is bad... no speed bumps or stop signs, no nothing to slow down wild drivers and the updates to the mall are bringing a lot more people than before. Maybe its big enough to add a red light in the parking lot, other than that the mall looks great, especially the new food court. 🍺☕🍟🥗
Most stores were open Primart had a long line to get into the store and long lines to check out not thrilled. Wearing a mask throughout the store was difficult and enforced. This is the new way of life wearing a mask everywhere you go. Overall experience I give it 3 stars.I believe, Its better and safer to buy things you need online and you dont need to wear a mask.
I like this mall, today it was pretty empty due to CV. But its always clean and organized. My only issue is this wall. It was created so you can write messages in the wall however due to CV spreading quickly, having a wall like this where many people are touching with their bare hands and there is no disinfecting going on, its just not smart. It needs to be covered so that noone puts themselves or others at risk.
They are really getting their act together. This has become a very substantial shopping area. The new food court is getting really good and the changes they have made in the store lineup is impressive. Great place to shop and a lot of people do shop there so it is often crowded.
The upgrade of the food court looks amazing!. A huge expansion to the whole mall. Amazing Store outlets. Great Mall security as well keeping things in check everyday. The Mall’s Open-Close schedule is Reasonable Also. My favorite stores are mostly : Adidas, Finish Line, Macy’s, Starbucks, Apple, and Hot Topic :). Amazing. I Cant wait for the AMC Dine-in Theater!. I won’t have to drive all the way to New Jersey now!.
With the expansion, this mall became bigger and has more options now. You could find pretty much anything you would be looking for in a mall.In busy days parking might be problem but overall its ok. Its good to have Lidl in this mall so its kind of one stop shopping experience.
I absolutely loved my experience. Staten Island mall has so many options. You could never be bored of being there. I chose to go to David busters, and then go to the movie theaters all located in the same place. The food is also good you have so many options to choose from, such as Chinese, chic-fil-a etc..

2022-06-30Fantastic mall with lots of stores for everyone. This mall was very clean and there’s even a nice Barnes & Noble that’s next to but separated from the mall with a cafe inside. I would highly recommend going here since there’s something for everyone.

2022-06-21Hands down the most amazing mall. It’s spacious and clean and has a lot more stores than other malls. From my location, it’s not that far. There’s always parking in the parking lot. The grounds are stunning as well. There are many places to take nice pictures. Definitely a mall to check out when you have free time.

2022-06-03Okay mall. Not like other malls from the other 4 boroughs-not crowded, very slow pace, large parking area and quiet. It only has two floors—ground & lower level but quite spacious. A few of the stores were closed &/or going out of business. Maybe not a lot of regular traffic due to the pandemic. If your into Auntie Anne’s they have about 3 stalls. When I visited there seemed to be a fair/carnival in town so the south end parking area had some rides/games and the likes for your enjoyment.

2022-05-31While many malls are over crowded with nonsensical shops, the Staten Island Mall truly has it all. From restaurants to fashionable clothing stores you can be sure to find anything you are looking for when you stop by. If you are in the mood for some absolutely amazing Dim Sum, check out East the Chinese restaurant. Believe me, your taste buds will thank you. You will be tasting Brooklyn Dim Sum, right here in Staten Island. I cant wait to go back with the whole family and friends. You must try East!!!

2022-07-01If I had $100 in my pocket, this is where I can spend it. So many stores to go to and so much decisions. Love to go here again. I went to master wok here a bunch of times, a good way to spend $10+ for lunch and dinner.

2022-04-27The mall has seriously gone downhill since the time I went last since 2018/2019. The stores in it are the same stores you see in other malls across NYC. It’s pretty hard to navigate in the mall. Coming here is even worse if you don’t own a car. The city has really let down this mall. What it could have been would’ve be great. Food court is the only reason I come here honestly.
