Love the stadium. Great view of lower Manhattan. Buy the additional all you can eat ticket option. Well worth it. One of the better minor league experiences I have seen. Great chances to get a foul ball. Ssw a ton of families there with lots kids. Cheap way to get the kids out on the town for the day.
This is a great minor league stadium and a fun night, especially with kids. Its very easy to get to, walking distance from the Staten Island Ferry, and of course theres a parking structure nearby. Theres all the food youd expect at a stadium, as well as beer. Its not nearly as big as CitiField or Yankee Stadium, so its really intimate and has almost a small-town feel to it. Very different, very special.
Great for a family night out. Food is not out of the world expensive and they usually offer a Groupon deal each season. Theres event parking not too far off, but you may even find free street parking on a good day. theres a kid play area but expect to pay an additional fee for entry. Have cash handy for that and other raffles available around the ballpark.
This is ranked based on a minor league baseball team. It is small and intimate and is very lively on a Friday night. I really enjoyed my experience here as the food is decent and they played a lot of games and engaged the audience more. This is a good place especially when you have kids.
Had an absolute blast eating all I could as well as having lots of Sam Seasonal Beer in the Picnic Area! A beautiful park and night plus taking the SI Ferry Round Trip to the game is quick & easy! Of course the Cyclones lost to the SI Yankees but still fun and its more about atmosphere I think overall than the game.
Even though it rained my son and I had a good time. Made friends with the ladies behind me and we just had fun. My son and I live in California and we both are Yankee fans sorry this was great. My son and his uncle also went to Yankee Stadium for a game while we were there.
A great place to watch a baseball game and enjoy a gorgeous evening. The beers are inexpensive for a sports venue and our seats, two rows behind the dugout, gave us a great view of the game and the nyc skyline.Just steps off the Staten Island Ferry, this is a great date spot, or place to watch the newest Yankees earn their pinstripes.
OK, so... I cant believe Id never been to Staten Island before or to a game there. First of all, the ferry is super fun -- plus its free. You can buy beer in the Ferry Terminal, and they let you drink it on board. Then you walk about 3 minutes to the stadium after you get to Staten Island. Theres not one bad seat in the place -- in fact, the guy who was sitting next to me caught a foul ball with his bare hands. YOU GET A FREE HOT DOG, DRINK AND HAT JUST FOR GOING TO THE GAME. Honestly, theyre so happy youre there... and the tickets are $15! And the views of the city? Awesome. I will *definitely* be back. :)
Every seat has a great view of the game. The stadium is small. If you drive to the stadium, there is a small charge for parking (around $8). You could take the Staten Island ferry from Manhattan. I would suggest taking the meal plan when you buy tickets to the game, which includes unlimited food and drink. There is a fireworks display on Wednesdays and Fridays after the game. Check the schedule for fireworks. Fun inexpensive night out. Good for the entire family wheelchair accessible.
This ballpark is also known as Staten Island Yankees Park, after the minor professional baseball league team that plays there. It conveniently sits along the waterfront and next to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal to New York City. Parking (about $8) and tickets ($9-18) are inexpensive. The selection and prices of concession food and drinks are consistent with the ones found at many minor league parks.Excellent sightlines allow the crowd to see the field from any point in the stadium. Scooter The Holy Cow and the Pinstripe Patrol keep the crowd entertained. There are kids’ games beyond the left field fence and digital scoreboards over center field and along the right field fence. Check the team’s website or in-park program for promotional events and firework displays. It’s worth the drive from New Jersey to Staten Island to see The Baby Bombers in action. Although the team will have a new nickname starting with the 2017 season, we anticipate the rest of this ballpark experience will be there during our next visit. With the layout of the ballpark, its luxury box suites and view of New York City beyond the right field wall, it would make an attractive destination for non-baseball events. Check the teams website for more information about the ballpark.
This was my first experience at a baseball game. I seized the opportunity and spent the summer evening with my daughter. Although we couldnt finish the game, she had fun watching the players running the bases. It is much cheaper than a Yankees game. There is the end of game fireworks -which we missed.
Opening day disaster at concession stands. Was looking forward to having a beer and snack with family and friends. What we found was over a 1 hour wait at all concession stands for everything. Turns out staff was untrained and didnt even know what was available to sell. Obviously the management down there are a bunch of shoemakers and should be outside selling lemonade .
I took my family and paid for the special barbecue area with an all you can eat buffet. There was almost no food. The food that was there was cold. I had to go buy food at one of the concession stands and it took almost 40 minutes on the line - causing my son and I to miss a large portion of the game. My daughter wanted popcorn - that line took her and I another 15 minutes. This is the third year we have went. First year it was great. Last time food was a little skimpy, but there was enough. This year, like I said, I had to go buy more food because there just wasnt any.Additionally, parking is almost impossible.
Good affordable family fun. You will never know which big leaguer you may see in a rehabilitating tune up game. You also get a nice fireworks display on friday nights after the game. The concessions are not over priced and its a nice ride across the water on the Staten Island ferry. Extremely easy to get to from any destination in NYC. I suggest Public Transportation.I hope my review helped. Enjoy The Game. GO YANKEES!
Nice little park with an unbelievable setting. The stadium is right on the river with an unobstructed view of lower Manhattan behind and around the batters eye. Its easy to get good seats. The food is definitely not as great as at some minor league parks. Considering that its just a (free) ferry ride from Manhattan to a seat right on the field, this is definitely well worth your while. Its just too bad that it belongs to the yankees
A fun getaway from the city, especially if you take the subway to the Staten Island ferry. From the ferry, it is only a couple of blocks walk. The stadium offers fantastic views of ships coming in and out of the bay along with panoramic views of Manhatten. The ⚾ is engaging and the crab fries are a treat.
Home of the Staten Island Yankees, the Short Season-A affiliate of the New York Yankees. This is a great place to watch baseball because not only are the tickets here sold at a good price but you can also see great views of lower Manhattan while watching the game! But remember to watch out for foul balls. Say hi to Scooter for me!
If I could give 0 stars I would. Ive been coming for years on opening night for my kids school fundraiser. Its my daughters last year at PS 50 and they didnt even mention the school when they came back to finish announcing. We complained to someone but they still did nothing. Kids were disappointed!! That was bad enough, then there are those lines. How are you supposed to watch the game when you are on line the whole time? Youre lucky if you can get 1 beer bc then they cut you off by the time you go for a 2nd. You need to open all the concession stands. This opening night was the worst Ive ever seen and Im so glad my kids are graduating bc I dont ever want to come to your opening night again. It was terrible! You really need to get it together SI Yankees oh and another thing, Pizza Rats, Really?
ABSOLUTE NEW YORK..........on a beautiful night, take the Staten Island Ferry and walk down the hill to the ballpark. Seats are inexpensive as is food. The view is gorgeous. Players are just fine and the people around you are, to a large extent, first responders and their families. It doesnt get better than this.
Oh the Staten Island Yankees. How I feel for thee. Such amazing potential, yet its gone to waste. They could reap the rewards of an incredibly well built and placed stadium, yet Brooklyn has once again taken over. Brooklyns theme nights and giveaways are amazing while we get... the...pizza rats. Brooklyn has Nathans... we have...I dont even know. If this was a AA team with a longer season, perhaps then theyd figure out a way to get people to the games, but with overpriced parking&a lack of amenities overall, this is going ti continue to languish.
Opening Day was a mess!!! I go every year with my niece and nephews school this year was by far the worst. The one thing my three year old looks forward to was running around the bases and they only let so many people on field and told the rest of us,”sorry I cant let anyone else in.” My husband met us after work and was on line so long he couldn’t get a beer it was too late. Not sure what happened this year but Im definitely not looking forward to coming back. Not sure if its staff or what but the whole place was miserable. also announcer never said their school
The Winter Wonderland was a terrible rip off. It was a cheesy, sad rendition of a wonderland. The hay on the ground, the plastic cutting board ice skating rink, the light show, the garbage games and vendors...what a disgrace! Must be a bunch of money hungry people making a TON of money at the expense of good people and families who were hoping to enjoy a holiday event. Really believable.
Anyone who works for the SI Yankees and has a version of the word manger in their job title should be fired before the morning. What a total embarrassment, your choice was to wait on line at least 4 innings for any food or beverage option in the entire stadium, or watch the baseball game. They just guaranteed themselves a season of terrible attendance figures.
There are few venues near or around the city that offer an inexpensive but exciting evening of fun, but every visit to the Staten Island Yankees has met or exceeded everyone one of my expectations. I have been visiting this stadium for 8 years and have transitioned through a few different owners, but they have continually entertained me every single year. As a huge Yankees fan, there is nothing more fun than watching stars before they are anywhere near becoming stars and seeing them struggle through the ranks. I hope this team never leaves the city and remains under Yankees ownership for years to come.
Im not a sporting type. It was ok, took a bit long between all the changes. When we ordered the 6$ beer we were given the 10$ beer. When we commented on this it seemed like the person serving us didnt even know there was a difference. When we said we wanted the other one she said that was the only one they had... It wasnt. We couldnt be bothered so we paid and give a crap 3-star review as revenge :-p

2018-03-09I don’t even know where to begin. I came across the Staten Island Winter Wonderland ad on Groupon. I read the reviews, it seemed like something that would be fun. Most importantly it seemed like an event for all ages. That was not the case, this is an event for kids. The ice skating rink was made of plastic. This was my first time attempting to ice skate. The plastic material made it very difficult to do so. I thought they’d be real ginger bread in the Santa’s Workshop, but it was just a tiny paper looking cookie. The rides were 3,4 and 5 tickets each. I spent $60 on a booklet of 40 tickets I believe. However I went home with more than half of the tickets, because the rides just weren’t age appropriate for me. Kids would probably enjoy this event, but it’s not for adults. I still took a few pics and tried to make the most of my time there.

2018-08-16Love Being Invited By Friends To A Game For The Staten Island Yankees! Always A Great Time With Friends! Food Prices So So! But, This Night The Game Was Called Before It Even Started Because Of Poor Drainage In The Infield Area From The Early Morning Rain! A Bit Of A Let Down, But Still Had A Good Time With Friends!

2019-09-04I went to games at The Ballpark at St.George twice this year. One was a soggy night, a weekday night, with the threat of heavy rain looming but not materializing. Youd expect a smaller crowd than normal and it was small.People in general just arent excited to come here, so they dont. The second time was a Sunday afternoon near the end of the season--a nice day, with both teams fighting to make the playoffs. There were lots of fans for both teams at the game. It was a good game too.It is pretty convenient to get here--it is a short walk after a 1/2 hour boat ride from southern manhattan. On the second day a friend left a ticket for me at the will call window. The ticket wasnt there when I went to pick it up. Three other people said they saw him leave the ticket. The friend later said the sales employee doesnt like him, for whatever reason, and has done this to him a few times. Ask all your relatives if the ticket sales guy looked cross-eyed at them before leaving a ticket at will call, because this guy holds grudges and will lose the ticket.

2016-08-09Small town feel in the big city. Concessions are pricey but the stadium feel and view is awesome. The mascot Scooter and the Pinstripe Patrol are great and make every game fun. There isnt a bad seat in the house but on a really hot day I would avoid the first base side because of the sun
