I was traveling with my 7 children and we chose Staybridge because they have a suite big enough for all of us. This particular location is wonderful. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and courteous. The rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable. Even the towels were nice! Breakfast was good and the staff kept the area very clean. Coffee wasn’t bad! I would 100% recommend this location.
We have had multiple stays at this hotel and always receive great support from the staff. The hard working and friendly hotel manager, Theresa Smith always finds ways to make our stay better. The breakfast hours and food are very good. We prefer handicap accessible rooms and the selection is limited and somewhat dated. Our last stay in a normal large suite was nice, but the furniture does show its age.
Really enjoyed our stay. Beds were great, rooms were really clean and well stocked. Hallways were quiet and nicely carpeted so the building was well sound-proofed. Heard almost no one and they were full all week. Excellent breakfast daily and really enjoyed the Social Hour a couple of days. (Monday--Wed. 5:30-7) Nice glass of wine and snacks. Friendly and efficient staff that would help you with anything, including directions, etc. Area was nice with restaurants right in the parking lot. Easy to get almost anywhere from here in Buffalo.
When I stay here, I dont want to ever leave. The staff here is so amazingly helpful and friendly. Upon check in she was not only smiling and cheerful but gave me different room options which I really appreciated. I was staying a week so she wanted to be sure I was happy with my room. The breakfast always has a nice selection and clean space. I thought the afternoon snack Monday through Wednesday was genius. The computer room is so handy, I needed it several times. The free laundry really seals the deal for me. It takes the stress out of doing laundry while on vacation. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The shower has great water pressure and gets hot immediately. I would never stay anywhere else in Amherst! Great job to the manager and staff!
We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past, and have always had a decent stay. But this time, I didnt realize the room I reserved had Full-sized beds instead of Queen. After our first night, it was clearly evident my family of 5 was not going to survive 6 nights in a room with Full-size beds and an uncomfortable sleeper sofa. Its a nice hotel, and the staff were pleasant. The bed situation just didnt work for us.
This is by far the nicest, cleanest and friendliest StayBridge I’ve ever stayed in me dozens and dozens of stays. The staff was wonderful , hospitable and courteous. The GM of this location is Top Notch. Very friendly, addressed me by Mr along with my last name. I will recommend to anyone I know traveling to Western New York!
When we called for a last minute reservation Channel was so helpful explaining the amenities and the area surrounding the hotel. Then as we got closer to arrival time we requested an early ck in and Mina got back to us within an hour as to the availability of a room! The pool is so nice, breakfast variety and quality was excellent, and the room comfy!
I have stayed at this hotel for a number of years. This was our first visit since the start of covid and we were pleased with the precautions that were in place. Each time I have stayed, the staff made the experience very enjoyable. This visit was no exception - I felt welcomed from the time I made the reservation until I checked out.I will definitely stay at this hotel the next time I visit western NY.
I have stayed in a lot of hotels, and this one is among the best. The breakfast is tasty, including nice warm choices along with the continental style. We did not have time to use the workout room, or the pool, but definitely will next time we stay. The property is clean and well-maintained, and wallong distance to restaurants.
I had a wonderful stay. My room had a separate living room area, a kitchen, and a bedroom with two comfortable beds.Bathroom was clean. The hotel provided complimentary breakfast, free laundry, fresh baked cookies each day, fitness room and an indoor pool.Elevators were quick and efficient.Hotel staff are wonderful and pleasant.
Our family decided to visit the Niagara Falls in the last minute and were fortunate to have found this place had the type of suite/room we were looking for and it was not too far from the falls. Price was good, room was good, staff was excellent! Would definitely return to this location next time we plan a trip to the area.
Overall it was an ok hotel. The space was good for out families need. The chair was old and dirty looking. They should switch to leather so its easy to clean. My pillow case was stained so that ruined my my sleep. That staff was very friendly and helpful and the location of the hotel worked for us. I would stay there again and remember to bring my own sheets.
Great hotel, a little pricey but the staff, the cleanliness of the facility and the excellence of the bed and the room were top notch. For this amount of money however I was surprised there was not a bit more privacy for the commode. The lack of a door makes using the john a truly intimate experience if the room has more than one guest. But if you’re sharing that wonderful king sized bed with someone, in all likelihood that issue has already been addressed. Overall I loved the facility and my stay there. I highly recommend this hotel.
We were in Buffalo to spend the weekend with our daughter who is a student close to this facility.Staff were the friendliest I have ever encountered. Breakfast was good, cleanliness good, and easy access to facilities in hotel. We will definitely stay in this hotel again.
We arrived very late and had a very pleasant and caring young woman patiently answer all our questions and make us feel welcome. She had a sweet helper dog companion too. We were very appreciative of all the Covid precautions followed by the front desk and dining room staff. We were pleased to have breakfast items and cocktail hour snacks available to us. We were also pleased to have restaurants steps away from the hotel entrance. The hotel itself was quiet as well as the surrounding area. The bed and pillows were so comfortable - we slept very well!
We spent 2 months at this hotel while our daughter who lives locally gave birth to a new grandson. We brought our cat with us who did just fine during our lengthy stay. The rooms are well equipped and very clean and modern. Someone from the outside called to my room and fraudulently attempted to get my credit card information. They then called the front desk attempting to do the same. The General Manager put a quick stop to it and saved me many headaches. Hats off to the staff!
Price was reasonable for the service we received. Pillows and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast. They offered a social hour a few evenings a week, which is a nice touch - but unfortunately we’re unable to make them. The only thing I would have liked was some cleaning service. They only offered cleanings for those staging 7 days or more. We stayed 6 days - it would have been nice to have a cleaning and a replenishing of towels/linens half way through our stay. Would highly recommend. It’s also very close to everything.
We chose this hotel for an overnight on our drive through the area with our 3 kids. The layout was perfect to allow for the kids to go to bed first and us the parents could stay up a little longer. The shower was even quiet enough to not wake the kids when we woke early to get ready to go. We also loved having the kitchenette for ease of having meals there too. Oh and the curtains were able to keep the rooms dark enough so the kids didnt wake with the first morning light. It was just what we needed.
We loved our stay! It was a great location, easy to get to Niagara Falls. Right down the street from Anchor bar ( home of original Buffalo wing) . Several great food/drink options right outside the hotel/connected to parking lot. The room and hotel were very clean. The beds comfortable. Highly recommend.
An excellent hotel, with excellent service. We were greeted at the front desk by Chenelle who quickly checked us in. She offered free coffee and snacks, and advised us of our perks during our stay. I cannot speak highly enough of this first impression. The room itself was very spacious with two bathrooms and two bedrooms. One bedroom had one bed, the other had two. There were no signs of any bed bug activity- I practically tore the bed apart checking. The room was very clean and tidy. The water pressure on the showers was decent. Dishes were provided for us in our kitchenette.Overall, a great stay!
We had a very long drive in and the first person we saw had a smile on her face and she was very kind and helpful. When we got to the room we were very surprised with the large size and amazing furniture (we are looking to purchase the desk and desk chair :) The beds were very comfortable the only downfall was that we tend to like to sleep colder and the thermostat only went down to 68 degrees. The bathroom was spotless, however the shower knob was a little difficult to figure out and the complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles were mostly empty (I did not report this, I brought my own). Breakfast was great the ladies were very polite and helped move the line along with the added difficulty of having to be bagged separately. Checkout was seamless and we were wished a safe trip. We would count this to be one of the BEST hotel experiences we have ever had. Thank you for the hospitality! We will definitely stay again!
When I made the reservation I spoke with Chanel, who was a great help choosing what I wanted. When we checked in she was on the desk, she is such a pleasant person, made you feel like you wanted to be there. Throughout my stay when she was working we chatted often along with Emily, Theresa and Katie. Our room was perfect. Definitely more than enough room so you didnt feel like you were on top of one another. The bed was super comfortable. More than enough towels and supplies in the room.My only complaints were in regard to the kitchen area. Our ice maker and garbage disposal didnt work. Cleaning staff need to check dishes and silverware to make sure there are at least 4 of each. Had to request several things. There was an issue which was rather disgusting, spoke with the manager Theresa. Super nice about it and took care of the problem for us. Would definitely go back again!.
This hotel was very convenient. Right next to the university and right near many restaurants. The room was very nice. The bed was really comfortable although the pullout sofa bed in the suite was not. The covid brown bag breakfast was not great. Good to grab some fruit but limited. Overall it was very clean and a nice place to stay. I would recommend it and would definitely stay there again.
Stayed at this location for an extended weekend. The staff was very accommodating and polite. The room quite comfortable and clean. Breakfast options were sufficient for anyone who wanted a bite to eat or drink and was served in a safe manner. The wifi worked well. I will definitely stay here again.
We have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. Traveling during a pandemic can be nerve wracking, but I never once felt unsafe. The entire property was clean. The check in experience was safe. They practiced social distancing and sanitizing of pens after each guest. The front desk worker put fresh gloves on to take my credit card. Our room was clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower is big enough, you can step out of the water when needed. We got plenty of use out of the full kitchen. Full size fridge, dishwasher, two burner stove top, microwave, sink/garbage disposal, fully stocked with dishes and utensils...which they made sure to sanitize on high heat in the dishwasher between guests. Free guest laundry room (you must buy your own soap, but it is available in their store by front desk). Free parking, convenience store and food options directly outside of hotel. If there was anything I didn’t not enjoy about the stay, it would be the breakfast although I believe they are trying their best with the current circumstances. I’m a vegetarian and normally I would have a bagel, toast, maybe a fresh pastry or home fries. They had already assembled breakfast sandwiches with meat and eggs. Options were just very very slim. I would have liked to feed my baby just eggs that were not assembled on a sandwich with meat. They used to have a scrambled or omelet option. It was also very awkward the first day we were there as there was no sign saying what was available and the staff asked us what we wanted as if we knew what was in the covered dishes. The second day there was a menu hanging up to let us know. Much less awkward. I would suggest maybe giving guests a menu they can order breakfast on for the next morning when they check in. Then maybe you can include more options such as toast etc.
This is the second time weve come back to this property in the last two years we really enjoy the suites. The staff was very nice especially Teresa. We used to live in Buffalo 24 years ago and we come back quite often I plan on staying here again when we do come back. Just wish they had an exercise bike in the workout room.
I have stayed at this hotel on a few occasions. During covid the rooms were much cleaner and no maid service during our stay, which was fine with me. The only problem our room was next to the motor of the elevator and my husband had trouble sleeping. We told the desk and they said next time request a room not near the elevator...The breakfast was doable. In the past the breakfast was a nice buffet..This time you picked out what you wanted and an attendant bagged it for you...Nice perk that they give out bottles of water in the lobby. Overall it is a nice hotel with friendly staff...
This was a very bad experience staying at this hotel, starting with the cleanliness of the suite, and ending with customer service at breakfast. The bathrooms were filthy, specially the shower. The shower heads are located so high on the wall, that unless you are 5,11” or taller, you’ll not be able to reach the shower head. The bottom of the tub inside and outside looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in about a month, the rooms need a major update, including the TVs and maybe having some USB ports. A cleaning person is needed to clean the rooms every day, not only before and after your stay. We didn’t like how the person serving breakfast performed her job, she acted like she was doing us a favor by giving us what we were asking for. I think you should have a open buffet breakfast, and allow people to grab and pick for themselves what they want on their plate.
We can’t say enough nice things about the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful, and they all seemed to enjoy working together and interacting with the guests. We had to have our room cards redone more than once-finally figured out it was our cell phones that deactivated the cards, we all had a good laugh. After the 2nd time on the same night the desk clerks could have become annoyed but they laughed it off
Kudos to the manager, Theresa, and her staff. Everyone was wonderful and helpful during our stay, even though they were visibly understaffed. The extended stay hotel was adequate and met our needs. The facility would greatly benefit from updates and modernization. The furniture/furnishings were visibly worn and old looking.
I have stayed at this hotel several times during the four years my son was a student at UB and will stay again as he continues in graduate school. I recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to be greeted warmly and sincerely by every staff member, who appreciates an immaculate hotel and a very comfortable room. My only wish is that they served a better quality coffee, I find the coffee to be undrinkable. I walked to Tim Hortons most mornings for breakfast.
This was an excellent experience for me. It was the longest business trip I’ve done to Buffalo (10 days) but was well worth the money and the staff at the front desk were superb from check in to check out. Would definitely stay there again when I’m back in the area for work.
Stayed many times because if the great location. This time my room was dirty and I didnt even feel comfortable taking a shower. It was obvious the cleaning staff did minimal cleaning between guests. Im not sure if we will try to stay again, it seems to be a roll of the dice- and its not a cheap hotel.
We had a very pleasant one-night stay at this Staybridge Suites. Our reservation was booked with reward points. At check-in, I was recognized as an IHG Platinum member and our reservation was upgraded to a two-bedroom suite. The suite was spotless. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The complimentary breakfast offered many options.
Theresa and her front desk staff work hard to provide a friendly, professional atmosphere where all clients needs are addressed. There was never a time when customer service was not a priority. All the little extras provided made our stay enjoyable. We look forward to staying there again.
Went with this hotel for an extended stay, and couldn’t have been happier with my choice! Theresa and her friendly, professional staff go above and beyond to ensure that all their guests feel right at home. Delighted to find their service superior to many of the 5-star hotels I’ve stayed at. Extremely comfortable suites, good breakfast offerings even during COVID, convenient complimentary self-laundry, and great location (with plenty of food options within a 1-minute walk). I hope to be able to return in the future!
Me and my family decided to take our first vacation since the Pandemic and visit Niagara Falls, we stayed here because with a family of 6 it was great to have the two bedrooms. The room made us feel as comfortable as at home, and it was super clean! The service we received the minute we walked in the door was amazing, and Theresa made sure we had everything we needed for the entire stay. We will definitely stay again if we return.
Our family used the hotel when gathering for a memorial service. Staff were very helpful with reservations for the group, and the hotel was perfect for gathering at breakfast, in the afternoon at the Social and the outdoor fire pit area was good for socially distant visiting. Staff were helpful throughout. Good location with nearby restaurants.
I am in an electric wheelchair and we were in the area because I had an appointment at Roswell Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Staybridge Suites had a good rate for Roswell patients so we thought we would try it. The bed was very comfortable, easy to get around in my electric chair. Also, we used to the pool and we had breakfast the next morning before my appointment and both were very enjoyable.
From the Moment I made my reservation and talked with Theresa I knew we were going to be blessed! She is gracious and hardworking... every staff member the same! These are the kindest group of staff I have seen in years! Everyone of the staff went over and beyond to be a blessing to our Big Italian group! Best Hotel in America! Hardworking, friendly, accommodating, sociable... there are not enough word to describe how Impressive they are as a team! Everyone from front desk to electrical worker/ house keeping were as hard working and as dedicated as the front desk! I honestly felt as welcome as possible and like I was in my own home! Love to all the Staybridge staff!!!!!!!!
The hotel staff was superb! friendly welcoming ! the hotel itself is really nice ! The room is the only issue I had.. one bedroom 2 bed suite...good size they provided everything you would need if your using the kitchen dishes to paper towels ( the thinnest one but still provided) there was a nice sofa (also its a sofa bed) ..the bathroom little small but got the job done. HOWEVER the walls were all scuffed up like someone was riding a bike on them the chairs in the kitchen badly torn(I spoke to the front desk about it because i did not want to be charged for them she stated she has ordered new chairs but with covid its taking awhile to come--I was ok with that ) but it was clean. But overall outside of needing to paint and some updating of the furniture- fix the heat it wasnt bad at all-Also plenty of places to eat in the area (2min away) target, every fast food (we ate at Panera) -, gas station , supermarkets etc.-bottom line the hotel served its purpose- I am used to more upscale hotel but we only needed the room technically for a couple hours as we were out visiting the campus and the area then we left early (2am) it was good for one night stay- I wouldnt have stayed a 2nd day or a week -The heat didnt seem to work I adjusted the thermostat -it wouldnt go past 78 but I felt very little heat I slept with my coat as I fell asleep on the couch watching TV.-I would recommend for one night stay it is appropriately priced. Once the rooms are updated then it would be good for a couple days.
From the time we drove in our experience was positive. There is ample, well lighted parking. Hand sanitizer was prominently available. The room was clean, well lighted and comfortable. The location was convenient for travelers. It is not far off the highway. There are several restaurants within walking distance. We liked that after a long drive! The kitchenette is a real plus for us. It was a quiet and relaxing respite from the highway! We will stay again on our next trip and highly recommend it!
The hotel is in a great location with plenty of places to eat and a convenience store. Check in was easy. The room Air Conditioner was leaking onto the carpet that we noticed late at night before bed. We alerted staff and the attendant was not interested and appeared too busy to move us to another room or even offer help.
Don’t expect staff to provide you with clean towels everyday or even in a timely matter when you ask. Staff stated they only clean the room once every 7 days and do not enter rooms while guest have them booked regardless if the guest are inside or away. Breakfast was very poor to the point I cooked in my room everything day. Other than that the hotel was average…nothing to brag about but also nothing to stay away from.
I can honestly say there was nothing I liked about this stay. I found the staff at front desk to be very rude, lacking customer service skills and inability to accommodate a senior customer as well. I had requested an extended stay w/agent named Katie the night I arrived
Theresa and her staff are amazing! Super super comfortable beds, VERY clean suites, the linens smell like they just left the dryer. Theresa went out of her way to accommodate me because I love this particular view! I will not stay anywhere else. Beyond happy and looking forward to my return in June.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean. The location is ideal for visiting a UB North Campus student. We felt pretty safe with all their Covid protocols. The room was very comfortable. Having a kitchen was especially nice given so many restaurants are take-out only now. The HVAC is a bit loud. We had a two bedroom suite and I opted for the room that did not have the large supply duct in it, so I was able to sleep well. I am a light sleeper, so in a one bedroom, I might have had a problem. The windows are not operable. But that is being petty. We will definitely stay there again when we visit Buffalo and need to be near campus.
The staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were clean and spacious. I had everything I needed to work and stay. They did a great job with breakfast to go, many more choices than other places I have stayed. The only reason I gave a low rating on opportunities to socialize is because of COVID.I plan to go back in the future, especially since I was treated so well.
My husband and I stayed there for 4 nights. When we walked in to the hotel room, both of us loved how neat and tidy the room was. Everything was spotless. The front desk receptionist was a pleasure to talk to. My only recommendation would be to serve better breakfast choices. They usually have: fresh fruits, yogurt, coffee, tea, cinnamon buns, muffin, egg and cheese with biscuits or English muffins, hot cereal. Would definitely recommend. It was a pleasant experience.
We were in town for a family event. The staff was welcoming and the rooms perfect for our large crowd. We will definitely stay here again when we visit western NY. Having the pool accessible was a real treat when the temps outside rose to 90 .Comfortable beds, very clean rooms, and great shower!
Have stayed here in the past as well, and the experience during the pandemic was no different. Everything was sanitized frequently and the staff here is one of the best I have come across. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was safe, enjoyable and memorable - even during a pandemic. Very good breakfast options even in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. Keep it up. Kudos to your staff.
The entire staff was awesome. From the first time I called inquiring about rooms right up until checking out, the staff exceeded all expectations. Theresa was especially helpful - even called me to confirm our arrival once new pandemic restrictions were announced. During this pandemic they did all they could to make my family and I feel safe. And they still did their best to accommodate the guests with breakfast and a social hour even with all the restrictions mandated by the state of NY. The rooms for myself and for friends that stayed were clean and comfortable.
I couldnt have asked for a better hotel experience. Theresa and all of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and the breakfast was awesome. I especially liked all the restaurants and stores being a 1 minute walk away. I will be definitely returning to this hotel in the future.
The staff was very welcoming and accommodated my request for an end of hallway room on a high floor. Quality of linens is very good. I wish the drapes kept out more light and that there was an option to have firmer pillows brought up, but other than that this was an excellent stay.
I’ve traveled to this area for work and have stayed at this hotel many times. First off, the staff members are awesome! They are curteous, professional, and efficient. The room is always clean and the bed is so, so comfortable. Check in and check out are quick and painless. Lastly, there are many small restaurants and stores within the same parking lot which makes it feel like a cozy, little village.
We were a group of five adults and a young child in a two bedroom suite. The beds were comfy and we loved the choices of pillows (soft or firm!)Spacious rooms, nice toiletries, full kitchen with cooking and eating utensils. What made our experience over the top was the breakfast. It was varied everyday, awesome yogurt bar, waffle makers, good coffee etc. We looked forward to breakfast every morning! There are two of us who have dairy allergies and we were so impressed with the available soy milk and almond milk! Also, the laundry facilities came in handy for us... another surprise, it’s complimentary! Our stay here was very comfortable
The Staybridge Buffalo is located in a plaza that has quite the variety of restaurants. Also close to major highways, you can go to Niagara Falls on the USA side in less than 20 minutes. Downtown Buffalo is also 20 minutes. The room is well equipped it has a full size kitchen, sofa bed and a king size bed. Bathroom could be a bit more comfortable but not that big of a deal. Breakfast is complimentary but extremely limited probably due to COVID 19.
The rooms were new, very clean and really comfortable. The whole family had a great sleep here. The free breakfast in the morning was probably the best one Ive ever had at a hotel. The food was fresh, hot, and a great variety. We couldnt use the pool because a sports team was there unsupervised, so would be good in the future to enforce the pool rules a little more. The price was a great value for the wonderful room and location.
Not worth the money. Room wasn’t ready Upon check in. Once the room was ready, it hadn’t been cleaned properly. There were fingerprints on everything you could imagine. The bathroom had only half of roll of tissue left. There was blood on the bathroom walls. The livingroom furniture smelled liked cat/dog urine. The final day there, we found a dog bone. So disgusting. The manager wasn’t pleasant at all. The other front desk lady seemed annoyed by my complaints, not apologetic at all. Oh and the breakfast was terrible. It was burnt sandwiches I’m foil. Smh!
This hotel is one of the best I’ve stayed at and I’ve been to a lot of places. The rooms are beautiful and very spacious. The beds and pillows are awesome! I have back problems and I woke up very refreshed there. The towels and toiletries are great (they give you a big bottle of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash). The closet is huge with plenty of hangers. The pool and jacuzzi were extremely nice and clean. The social hour/ happy hour was awesome (free food and drinks). Would definitely go back again!
I have been staying here in Amherst for over 3 months while waiting to buy a property. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the pool is closed, and the gym is limited to one guest at a time due to COVID 19. Breakfast is very limited and it is bagged to take away. COVID again. The hotel is pet friendly which I love, however the carpet in the hallways have large dirty spots and need to be cleaned. This place is too nice to ignore this. The laundry facility is nice and complimentary to guests which is great. Housekeeping needs improvement. I have discussed this management multiple times but the housekeepers continually forget to leave clean linens and paper products when they clean.
Everything thing here was really nice. The indoor areas, the rooms, the outside hangouts. The outdoor patio area had a covered seating area with a grill and a gas fireplace. The pool area was also clean and well maintained, always with plenty of towels. The only complaint there was that the hot tub was broken. Thats pretty minor, though. One of the best parts about this hotel was the food. They had a nice little buffet style breakfast and dinner spread each night and morning we were there. It was simple stuff but really well done. Even the cookies and brownies available at the front desk were awesome. They also offered multiple types of complimentary wine and beer with dinner. Eating in the hotel easily saved us $100 over our 3 day stay. This hotel is located in a plaza with other food options, if you should decided not to eat in the hotel. All in all, staying here was one the better lodging experiences Ive had. Everything is clean, comfortable and well maintained. The staff is super nice and best of all the food is good.
The staff at this Staybridge are all friendly, cheerful, and happy to answer questions. Really nice people who know their jobs.On the other hand, the room I had was in pretty bad shape - dirty dishes, sticky countertops, ice maker that sounded like a bomb going off, brown spray dried on the bathroom door, etc. Also, the thermostat is motion controlled. So when I went to sleep
This is the second extended stay we have done at Staybridge. The staff is friendly, helpful, and helps make this difficult time easier. The rooms were clean and spacious. The bed is so comfortable. The hotel itself was clean. There was multiple cleaning staff working throughout the day ensuring the hotel was clean for the guests. My family will be staying at Staybridge every time we visit Buffalo.
This hotel has become our go-to place for whenever we visit family in Buffalo. We drive here from KY every year and stay for about a week. The hotel amenities are all very nice with the kitchen, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, and plenty of space to use them. Were very fond of it and will continue to stay here every time we visit.
I chose your hotel based on being able to have a two bedroom suite, which is what I required. I was pleasantly surprised at how big and comfortable it was. My daughter and I kept commenting on how pleasant and helpful everyone of your staff were. From the front desk to the food server and maid service. Everyone greeted us with a welcoming smile. I am looking forward to my next stay at your hotel.
We had a great stay!! Very clean room, great service by staff, and food was great for morning breakfast --and lots of options (they serve you, but you can pick what you would like to grab and go, there is juice and milk and coffee plus breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, fruit, muffins, etc).Staff were very helpful and nice and the hotel was very well kept up and no issues or concerns!! Staybridge is a good place for families and kids. Hotel was in great location, close by restaurants, places to see, and only about 30 min to Niagra Falls. We will definitely be back and enjoyed our stay!
I highly recommend this Staybridge Suites. I had an issue with the people across the hall having a late night party with load music an slamming of doors late into the night. I contact the front desk staff and after giving the people a warning the first time they had them evicted after failing to comply. This allowed me to get a good night sleep while working 79 plus hours a week. Thank you for your great service.
The hotel is extremely clean. The room was spacious and had a refrigerator and microwave (which I used to heat up the doughnut I got from the breakfast downstairs). The bathroom was immaculate and the shower was wonderful! The bed was comfortable as was the couch/lounge sectional to rest/read on. It is walking distance to The University at Buffalo (North).
Staybridge continues to be our hotel of choice due to the affordable 2 bedroom suites with 2 beds in the second bedroom (rare in my experience). This one is located near lots of small restaurants which are right in the parking lot with big box stores like Target etc plus chain restaurants like Olive Garden and IHOP a short drive away.Check-in was smooth. There were always some treats at the front desk in the evening and dog biscuits all day. My hubby and son enjoyed the free dinner pasta and salad one evening. Breakfast is always great with make your own waffles, eggs plus usual continental offerings.Suite was modern and clean. Very quiet at end of hall. Nice to have full size shampoo and conditioner but housekeeping needs to check more frequently that theyre full (not as issue for me as I always use my own but kids noticed). Kids beds were awesome but ours did sag on both sides as King beds often do. We didnt complain but a quick swap out of the mattress should fix this. Pillows were comfy and they have both foam and feather. Lots of good quality towels. We did not use any amenities but there was a cute little business centre and people would use the dining room to have drinks and socialize. Did not visit the pool, laundry or fitness center but they were all there. Wifi in the room was good. We will be back!
This is the best hotel I’ve stayed in thus far! The hotel is situated in a mini like town center plaza with lots of different restaurants in front of it. It has a nice dining room area with a fire place and ski lodge openness to it. There are sofas around the fireplace where guests can socialize and eat their breakfast or dinner on and feel at home. The free breakfast is very nice with a massive spread with lots of options to suite everyone’s needs. They also have complimentary dinner and drinks Mon - Wed nights so no need to step out during those nights. The free bottles of water and cookies are also a really nice touch and something that isn’t found at expensive hotels unless you are in a vip points status. At this Hotel every guest is a vip. The staff is very friendly and greet you every morning and evening when you pass by the counter. The amenities are really nice with two grills outside and patio area, heated indoor pool with spa. Free washers and dryers for those of you staying for a while and fitness center to keep those calories in check. The rooms are nice a big and feature everything needed for a long stay with a full size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, stove, coffee maker, pots pans, dishes and silver ware! You won’t be disappointed.
Very disappointing stay. Not once in almost 10 did we get house cleaning, nor did anyone come in to at least take out or pick up the trash? I understand Covid safety measures, but we were highly dissatisfied. Roomes/bathrooms-we were in a suite- was not very clean...hair in tub, finger or hand prints on headboard, etc. I would not recommend this particular Staybridge location.
We have family in Buffalo and visit often. Sometimes we bring grandkids as we did on this trip. We needed multiple rooms. The two room suite was excellent. Good price.Pool was open late and that was fabulous.Staff - really top notch. Breakfast staff was helpful and kid friendly. When grandson wanted more yogurt, the staff person responded with a smile and helped him right away. Just super.Manager - Theresa was outstanding. My wife checked us in and I and the children arrived late. The next morning at breakfast she made a point of greeting us at our table and was glad we arrived safely. She then wanted to make sure our room was fine and if we needed anything. Later in our stay as the children were all dressed up for a wedding she complimented them all on how sharp they looked. She was also inviting that they could have more than one cookie. She made our stay specail. Other staff people were friendly and helpful. Staff make a difference and that is a reason to stay here.Parking lot is very busy. Good paarking around the side and back. Helpful to learn how to get in and out without going through front parking lot.
Staybridge suits has to be the very best hotel I ever stayed in. I am an traveling Nurse so I been to various hotels all around the world but staybridge is number one for me !! it has a kitchen that comes with beautiful champagne glasses, Tupperware, silverware! A big beautiful shower to died for very big spacious rooms with a big Frigidaire to store all of my food and beverages, a basketball court for my son to play ball while I work and complete my studies very friendly environmental properties! I spend my time here even when I am not on an assignment for work! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing place to stay.
I really wanted to like this hotel but it was just a disappointment. The bar stools in the guest room are torn, the couch was ripped and worn out, I wouldn’t even think of opening it to have my child sleep on, huge stains on carpet, I spilled water and had to wipe the wooden floor and it was disgustingly dirty like the floor hadn’t been cleaned in ages, the paper towel I used was black. I asked to have the floor cleaned and no one ever came. I asked for more towels and they never came. The toilet was wobbly like it wasn’t even bolted in. The place is full of college students and doesn’t have a family atmosphere if that’s what you’re looking for, which defeats the purpose of the 2-bedroom suite for families. Just overall a disappointment for an expensive stay.
We arrived at 5pm but check in is at 3. We were given keys to the room, started to settle in and then were told by the receptionist we had to leave because the room was not inspected. We asked for a different room and they told us nothing was available. That was a lie because we looked online to see what was available. Later we found that the dishwasher was completely full. I don’t think a good inspection took place. Would not recommend.
My stay here was amazing, all due to the wonderful people working at the Staybridge Suites Buffalo-Amherst. I was extremely well-taken care of by all the staff members. The room was outstanding, loaded with comfort and convenience. Best of all, the bed was most comfortable!
I was very pleased with all aspects of our stay. The front desk staff were very pleasant, not always the case when you arrive around midnight. The cookies at check in are amazing...a nice touch. The room was very spacious, the linens were in good shape and the room very clean.... nice hot showers with good water pressure. The business center was user friendly. The breakfast was nicer than most hotels.... the food fresh, with lots of space to sit and eat. We will definitely be staying here again.....
This hotel was amazing! The staff were friendly and helpful, the service was great! The room was nice and clean, the bathroom was huge. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. It felt nice and warm and welcoming. It was truly a wonderful experience, I will definitely stay here again and will look for other locations whenever I travel.
Every time I stay at the Staybridge Buffalo the staff makes you feel like it’s a second home. Starting with the General Manager every member of the staff from the front desk to the housekeeping staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. And this is no easy task during this period when all industries are challenged with trying to recruit and retain staff. My thanks to the whole team for making my time on the road just a little easier. Ed from Michigan
Spent a weekend at this hotel. The staff that I came in contact with were professional and pleasant - I was greeted daily upon entering. Decent daily hot breakfast. Indoor pool which is great when youre in Buffalo in the winter. Laundry room with baskets all you need to supply is the detergent. Computers and a printer available, fitness room, seating area with games and reading materials. It could have just been the timing but the hotel was quiet (not a bad thing). The room was clean the bathroom I found to be small in comparison to the size of the room. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel supplied. The hotel also has restaurants in the same plaza. I would consider them fast food or fast casual. Even though the restaurants are super close and the rooms have a kitchen, I would have loved the option for room service as a treat. I would definitely stay here again.
Absolutely fantastic hotel! When we arrived we first thought it was owned by one of the larger chains because of how nice and clean everything is - but its a small Buffalo chain. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping did an excellent job every night we were there. There is free coffee all day long. They have fresh baked cookies every afternoon on your way in/out. The patio was clean and comfortable.Things to note:- The morning breakfast was good, the exception being the fruit. The fruit that was left out was very cold, even to the point of being frozen.- They have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the showers in the rooms.- Rooms with 2 beds have a very small gap between the window/wall and the bed, making it hard to walk to that side of the bed.
Overall the stay was fine upto a certain extent. I will write both pros and cons:Pros:1. Nice staff2. Location3. Availability of Milk and coffee throughout the day. Cons:1. Super uncomfortable sofa bed. We were a party of 7 and one of us had to sleep on the sofa bed. They did not provide any extra blanket/ sheets for the sofa bed. It was unclean, messed up and torn from many places. 2. Microwave was functional sometimes and wud not many times. 3. Light service was just for the sake of it. They did not make up the bed, just replaced the towels that too with count. 4. It was a big 2 bedroom apartment, and I travelled with two kids. The room was bound to get dirty when u had to prepare for meals. Still we tried to leave the kitchen today and clean. But, they charged us extra 50$ for cleaning after I checked out. I mean what kind of service is this. Which hotel on earth charges for cleaning and that you after I checked out. This is purely cheating. We didnt get a perfectly clean room, one of the bed was faulty, the microwave was faulty and this kind of service. Simply bad.
The covid 19 protocols were in place in the public areas which made me think my room was probably properly sanitized too. The front desk staff was efficient and friendly and the lady in the dining room seemed to be genuinely interested in making sure I was well taken care if in her area. The shower head in was too tall, not adjustable and water splashed off me over the door but it was on a flexible line and could be hand held so I took it down.....its a little unhandy to try to bathe while holding the shower head. My wife hated it and had difficulty reaching it to take it down.
We traveled as a whole team to stay for a softball tournament. One staff member made it a point to treat us like school children on multiple occasions. As a group we sat in the common room and she would constantly monitor us like we were causing trouble. Sitting and chatting after a long day at the field is not causing an issue! Then at 9:50 she marched into the common area stating “you need to go to your room the lounge closes at 10” as she snatched the remote off the coffee table of a game we were watching on mute was turned off. There was no bed to bark at us like we were two years old. Proceeded to go outside to the fire pit to be further yelled at that she spoke with her manager and we were not allowed to sit outside and must go to our rooms. Literally being followed and harassed by this woman! Spoke with front desk upon check out and was told that she would have never came over and treated us like that unless we were causing an issue! Didn’t even listen to what I had to say. Congratulations on loosing business to a whole team. We travel to multiple states together as families and have never been treated so poorly.
Came to drop my son off at University at Buffalo. The location was perfect. I stayed for 3 nights in a one bedroom suite with 2 double beds. The accommodations were excellent. It was especially nice to have the apartment style suite during the pandemic, since I spent more time in the room than I would have during normal circumstances. Customer service was excellent. Although the public areas were mostly closed due to covid, there was a very nice courtyard with a fireplace that we were able to utilize.
I can’t say enough about our 3 night stay. From check in to check out it was exceptional. Staff at the front desk was always helpful and friendly. They were always looking to help if we had any questions or needed information about the area. Our rooms were very clean and all of the furniture was in very good condition. The breakfast was great. There was something for everyone and always enough food. This area too was kept very clean. The lobby was very cozy and a great place to gather or just unwind. Although we didn’t have the opportunity to use it due to rain and chilly weather, the outdoor patio was very nice. There were two grills that guests could use and a fireplace. The pool was great for the kids. It was kept clean. The y don’t advertise it but the hotel offers complimentary laundry. This was a big plus for me. Traveling with a family of 5, we tend to generate a lot of laundry. It was nice to be able to throw laundry in whenever I wanted and not to have to worry about having the right coins/bills with me. The fall decorations throughout the first floor gave the hotel A very homey feel. The lobby was spacious and a great place to socialize or just relax. The hotel overall was very clean and I am very picky about hotels. I give the Staybridge in Amherst/Buffalo a thumbs up. Don’t hesitate to stay here if you are considering staying in the area. One last thing I forgot to mention. The hotelIs situated in the same parking lot as numerous eateries and stores such as a barber, etc. it’s just steps away from the front door of the hotel.
We have used this hotel several times since August when our daughter started at University at Buffalo. We have not yet been disappointed. The location is perfect...very close to North Campus and many restaurants. The rooms are clean and spacious. Staff is always friendly and accommodating.
I stayed there the 5 th of may 2021 when I walked in the night , the lady working thé front desk was just oh so warm and professional. I was tired and she made me feel like I was at my own home : Thé morning I ran down to put away my items before check out and there was a lady there training another person , she stopped acknowledged me and greeted me . Though I was not even going towards the front desk . The property is clean and very nice I’d stay there again . I give them 5 starts .
Our overall stay was great. The hotel was clean and the extra services were wonderful. The breakfast was delicious with many different options. Our kids loved the social dinner as well. The pool was never crowded and easy to access. The room had its own thermostat which was nice. We only had a problem with one door in the room which had a hard time closing and the door outside slammed when closed. Neither were a big deal and wouldn’t let it stop me from staying again.
We came in on June 30th. On Wednesday July 1st I want to use the coffee pot and there was a little bit of coffee left in the pot. I went to use a sharp knife out of the drawer and it was filthy dirty. when we checked in we were asked if we wanted housekeeping and I advised yes for trash and towels. When I went down to advise the front desk of the situation on Wednesday morning I was introduced to the housekeeping manager and was advised it was going to be taken care of. We did not return back to the room until 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night. No one had been in our room to clean it.. I called down to the front desk and spoke with Bryson who probably told me he could not do anything to help and that I needed to talk to the general manager in the morning. He also made a smart comment when I mentioned about a bad Facebook post that I will be putting on Facebook. The next morning I met with Theresa the general manager. She is a lovely lady she greatly apologized because she had heard the conversation the day before and was aware of everything.she was under the impression everything had been taken care of. It had not been. I will come in Bryson for sending her an email and actually told her what he said to me. I have a lot of respect for him even though I dont like what he said to me. They did come in unclean and the girl who came in told me that they dont even normally come in to clean. Im not sure how Im supposed to get clean towels and empty the trash if youre not coming in to do that. I did ask for extra tiles so I didnt have to bother anyone but I still wish or knit a washcloth so I still had to go down to the front desk later am I stay to get more watch class. I really dont understand this concept. if you arent going to provide the service you still need to let the people get the equipment that they need. I should not have to go to the front desk everyday to get clean towels. Also if I need to empty out my trash I need to be told that. I will be thinking twice before I come back. I have a lot of family in Buffalo and thats why we chose your hotel.
Really friendly staff with a great general manager. They were so helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to do anything necessary to make your trip better. The rooms are great for extended stays with a full kitchen so that you dont have to waste money eating out all the time and free laundry right on site. It is definitely my favorite place to stay in the Amherst area
Very happy with this stay!! Location of hotel was great, the staff at the front desk were so friendly and aware of everything going on. The room was very clean and set up well. Breakfast was great and check out was easy. We did use the pool and hot tub and those were great as well, especially I noticed they had a bathroom right in the pool area and a shower to rinse off in. Overall this was one of the best experiences!
We’ve been to many places and our stay here is right at the top. From the Staff to all the accommodations it ranks at the highest out there. We were highly impressed with the breakfast served. The dinner social was a great touch. It’s hard to find anything negative to review. I immediately signed up for the rewards program as we will very much likely stay at another STAYBRIDGE Hotel in the future. No matter what the distance it is from our attractions that will bring us to an area. Keep up the great work!!!! Highly recommended!!!!
It is very clean. I feel safe. The room is relatively big and have a layout that works well. Breakfast is excellent. It is THE BEST I have had since Covid-19. The staff are very nice. I could feel the smiles under the masks. Will definitely come back. Definitely recommend.
It was like being at home. The king size bed was so comfortable it made us want to move in. The kitchen though small provided everything we needed. I especially appreciated the full size refrigerator. The pet fee was on the high side dmv the garbage disposal was not working so the refuse from the previous guest was still inside smh started smelling but we plugged it up with the stopper. I reported it but it was the weekend and the maintenance staff was off. I would stay here again no reservations.
I loved everything about this hotel. From the moment we checked in with the friendly and helpful staff until we went to sleep at night in the clean and oh so comfortable beds and room. The complimentary breakfasts far exceeded my expectations. The rooms were clean, comfortable and cozy. We didnt have any complaints or issues. I usually dont sleep well in hotel beds but these were so comfortable, I didnt want to go home! The entire stay was just wonderful.
This was a great hotel. The rooms were new as were the appliances. We had a great sleep, as it was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was probably the best one Ive ever had at a hotel. The food was very good quality, fresh, and frequently refilled. The only downside was that the pool was overrun with a sports team, without any adult supervision. It would have been nice to have that under control.
Our stay at the Staybridge near Buffalo was good.1. Although the website didnt address not having a hot buffet breakfast - but rather having a grab & go breakfast instead, the front clerk informed us of the grab & go breakfast upon our check-in without us asking. 2. The grab & go breakfast was actually pretty good (under the COVID circumstances) -- warm Egg-bacon-biscuit sandwich or Egg-veggie-english muffin sandwich (the veggie looked and tasted like sausage) -- along with your choice of other items (fruit, granola bars, blueberry muffins, cinnamon donuts, honey-buns, yogurt, juices, milk, etc.)3. This room was also either too hot or too cold to be absolutely comfortable.4. There was a large group of young teenagers hanging out around the hotel. The front desk clerk did chase the teens away one time, but the teens returned -- hanging out around all the parked cars and making considerable noise. 5. The fold out sofa-bed was much more comfortable at this Staybridge than at the Canton, OH Staybridge.6. Staff was much more attuned to the residents/customers needs and concerns and at least made an attempt to correct problems that were surfaced.7. The website needs to be updated to reflect what is and is not going on at that hotel due to the COVID situation. Even the COVID page is incomplete and inaccurate.8. It appears that this hotel lowered its price due to the reduced amenities/service from the COVID situation. I greatly appreciate that!
From the moment you walked in, we felt as if the hotel was 10 steps ahead of mitigating the risk from the Covid pandemic. Professional staff, top-notch cleanliness, and strict adherence to the precautions necessary to keep everyone safe. I would definitely stay at this location again. Beautiful property and within a few steps of several great restaurants food.
The towels in the pool area were small and too few to go around; the hot tub needed a cleaning. However, the pool area was still great fun for adults and kids alike -- and the rest of the hotel more than made up for it! Nice facilities - Great value.Staff were very friendly and helpful. They not only provided oral directions but also searched the internet and printed directions for us. We were made to feel very welcome and told about facilities and social opportunities while we were there. Our room was clean and spacious, suitable for both a good nights sleep and entertaining. I did not like the showers because the shower head is too high and cannot really be adjusted. Our room was also very cold on entry. It took a couple hours to warm it to proper room temperature. Food at breakfast and during social events was remarkably good. Only drawback is that if you have allergies, staff will likely not be in position to tell you if possible allergen is in the food. Breackfast especially had a good selection of items.
We had the worst experience here. Upon check-in we were given keys to the room. Once we arrived to the room, we found the sofa bed was not put together. We then started to put our things away we were told to leave the room because it had not been inspected. Ummm we are still living in Covid times and I was upset. We asked for a different room and were told there were no other rooms available. That was a lie because I looked online and there were rooms available. After the receptionist inspected the room we were told we could go back to the same room. The dishwasher still had dishes in it so I am pretty sure the room was not inspected. We also found a brown stain on one of the pillows. We booked through Hotline so we were unable to get a refund. I would suggest going elsewhere. There are better hotels in this area that are less expensive and clean.
I had stayed here many times and never had any problems with the staff or attitude. I checked in with my husband and step son. I received a call from the front desk about two hours after checking in and getting settled in for the night and was told that my husband was on the “do not rent list “ from a previous stay and that we had to leave the room or the police would be called. (Little extreme since I was being polite and understanding). I explained that my husband had left and as soon as he came back we would leave. I called the front desk after packing everything up and let them know that I was just waiting for my husband to come back, the girl on the phone said that we had to leave the room and wait downstairs in the lobby but since we also had had our dog with us I decided to sit outside in front of the lobby with a cart with all our belongings, our dog and step son feeling embarrassed and humiliated. The attitude and no compassion for the people who did not have anything to do with the reasons behind them kicking us out and the threat of calling the police were not needed. I have never been treated with such extreme disrespect and humiliation. I have worked in hotels for a long time and I am aware that if a guest is trying to check in and they are on the do not rent list it will show up on the computer and they wouldn’t have been able to check into the hotel and so the fact that there was a mistake on the front desk of allowing us to check in and then calling two hours later was a huge inconvenience and I expect something to be done about it
The rooms are well equipped and include little welcome touches like free popcorn. The pool is small but indoors and my kids really enjoyed it. Free laundry was really nice but the best part was the free reception evening meal and drinks. Other hotels offer snacks and drinks but this was an actual meal - just what you want after a big day. We felt welcome and relaxed. I chatted to several hotel guests because of the homely vibe. I highly recommended the hotel.
We made our reservations via AAA Travel to stay at a Holiday Inn Express in Buffalo. Reservations made online so they had my email. When we got to the hotel after a long traveling day, there was a sign on the door saying the original hotel was closed, but a room was waiting for us at another company-owned property across the parking lot. The Staybridge was fine. They upgraded us to a two-bedroom suite, but in the era of COVID, i was appalled at the number of people running about the hotel without masks. In my opinion the signing and active enforcement for masks is neceassary to protect the heatlh of your guests. Plus, our hotel room floor felt sticky. Seriously. I assume it was from a good cleaning, but thats not a great feeling. I slept fine and otherwise have no complaints.
I dont know how Ive missed this hotel. Ive stayed in Amherst a few times over the last few years, and I dont recall seeing this place. I heard its been in the area for about six years. You cant go wrong here. Check-in was warm and friendly, the hotel itself was spotless, and the room was immaculate. Of course, theres no housekeeping done in the rooms due to COVID, but they provide trash bags and such when the bags become full in your room. If you need extra towels and such, ask, and they will accommodate. The hotel is located directly across the street from the new dorms that the University of Buffalo - North Campus is building. Theres an Insomnia cookie place right on the complex. Cookies are dangerous for me, especially Insomnia cookies -lol. Additionally, Staybridge is close to many stores and local places to eat. They do have free breakfast in the mornings. Of course, its not how it was pre-COVID, but you can get a hot sandwich or cereal, coffee, milk...the hostess will give you the items. Theres no open buffet. For me, coffee and yogurt with a banana is fine,Well, I am now back in my home state after a four-night stay. I just booked Staybridge again for July because I need to return for some more family business. Thank you, IHG. The quality and price are just right for me.
Staff was incredibly rude. They came to our suite room around midnight for a signature on the check in sheet. After asking if that was the norm, I requested to speak to a supervisor who I was told would be coming in the morning. Even after insisting on speaking with a supervisor & promised a callback, I heard nothing. I was also charged an additional hundred dollars which they only chose to explain because I continued to call. Their reason: “evidence of smoking” which is completely false. So unprofessional and discriminatory.Save your money and go elsewhere.
We have been working on a project in Buffalo and my entire crew looks forward to their weeks in Buffalo thanks to this hotel. The staff is amazing and the facilities are top notch. They do everything they can to make our stays comfortable and they manage our incoming packages very well. I highly recommend this hotel.
Accommodations were the best, the bed was comfy. Breakfast was wonderful with a lot of variety. I enjoyed drinks on the patio by the fireplace after long days. The Halloween decor was tastefully done. The hotel staff was wonderful and helpful. My favorite was Adriana who made it a point to great me by name every day she worked and made me feel welcome to the hotel and always gave great recommendations anytime we needed somewhere for dinners. The only recommendation I could make is for better wi-fi throughout the hotel. It made it difficult sometimes to work remotely with slow network speeds.
The bed was wonderful. It would have been nice to have a tub to bath the baby in but we managed fine. The shower head was removable but it was up really high. It was a little tuff to shower in there because you were standing in the very back to get showered. The kitchen was great and had everything you would need to fix a small meal. It was well thought out. There was no soap for hand washing at the bathroom sink and three full size towels and only one wash cloth! Not fun when three people need to get cleaned up. Where the hotel was located was a little bit of an issue trying to locate it on the way in. Not a pretty area at all.
This was our first Christmas away from our childhood home and we could not have asked for a more pleasant, welcoming place to stay. The front desk staff was terrific as was the helpful breakfast staff. The lobby and breakfast areas were warm and inviting as they were decorated for the holidays. Each night when we returned, there were cookies or some other snack in the lobby. The suite was very comfortable, with firm beds and a well-stocked kitchen area. We ended up having to use the business center and it was convenient and easy to use.We plan on staying at this hotel when we return to the area. There are many hotels in this location (near the University), it was the staff and the comfortable room that made our stay enjoyable.
The hotel was truly one of the best experience I had had at a Staybridge hotel in a very long time. I had a very difficult time with the IHG customer service person when I tried to use my rewards points to stay here, first she could not locate this property, second she told me no rooms were available, when I told here I had already checked with the hotel for availability, then she said they could not book my rewards, I told her I was a spire member and I should get treated like IHG tells everyone . Hotel was great, hotel staff awesome IHG customer service SUCKS
This is a great hometown hotel to stay at in Amherst, NY. The location is great and the service is excellent. They offer a full hot breakfast buffet each morning with different items daily. They also have dinner available 3 nights during the week. My son loves the indoor pool and spa. It’s a very comfortable place to stay when visiting family locally. The really nice staff is also a plus. They go out do their way to accommodate requests and to be helpful!
The suites are great. The beds are comfortable and the included breakfast was wonderful. Access to free beverages is fantastic. Being able to mingle with other parents at the hockey tournament was challenging as there is no conference rooms. Using the common area will get you spoken to by the front desk as noise travels loudly through out due to open floor concept. However this a great place to stay and the rates are very reasonable. It will not disappoint
We stayed here on our way to Massachusetts. Great hotel, very clean, and they even had complimentary dinner. This was a great surprise. It was my family of five so dinner on the house saved us some money for our kids to do other things while on vacation. The room was great, we had the suite with 2 rooms, 2 adults 3 kids. they loved every moment and the laundry room even came in handy saying we were on the road for a week. Highly recommend Stay bridge and cant wait to stay again.
Stayed here for two nights. Really enjoyed this place, has a cozy home feeling to it. Room had a separate bedroom and living room that had a small kitchen. There was a full sized fridge and dishwasher that came with cups, plates, spoons. Would definitely stay here again.
We cannot say enough about this hotel--our stay was wonderful! First we were allowed to bring our 3 dogs--very hard to find a hotel that allows 3, much less such a nice hotel. The relief that afforded us is more than i can express. The pet fee was more than reasonable.(for those that dont have pets--rooms are super quiet, there isnt dogs all over the place, the hotel is very very clean!) All the staff were so friendly and helpful--really made you feel welcome. The rooms were so nice! I cant believe how quiet it was there--normally you hear every sound in the next room--here you didnt. Extremely clean and well kept, very comfortable! The pool and hot tub were wonderful--great way to relax! The full breakfast was great, with alot of selections (although my boys were a bit bummed that bacon or sausage werent in the rotation on the days we were there) and the quality of food was good. We had a complimentary dinner on Monday nite and wow, i was so surprised at the selection! It was delicious! Beer and wine available for free as well. The little free extras, like to go breakfast bags, bottled water and lets not forget the cookies! (pretty sure my boys ate their weight in cookies while we were there) All these little touches say alot about how this hotel goes the extra mile to make guests comfortable and it was all very appreciated! The location is great--close to shopping, restaurants, grocery, etc. I guess if i had one criticism, its just how the lights and bathroom set up are. The sink is in a separate area outside the shower/bathroom area (not sure how all rooms are, we stayed in one bedroom suite with two double beds), which is fine (its nice to be able to use that while someone else is in shower/bathroom). But the lights are on sensors, which is a good idea, however if you get up to go to the bathroom at nite, the light by the sink comes on and shines right onto the bed area, waking others. (we ended up blocking that sensor at nite to solve that problem. I am an earlier riser and to try and get ready by the sink in the morning was the same issue--couldnt let light come on and wake others, but it made getting ready in the dark hard. Plus running the water in the sink made noise. If they could put another door on the sink area too (even a pocket door) that would solve these issues. But honestly, this isnt anything that would keep us from staying here--the great amenities, the wonderful staff, fantastic rooms and everything else we enjoyed, far outweighed this minor inconvenience. We HIGHLY recommend this hotel for anyone considering staying here!
My family and I recently stayed at the Staybridge Inn. We are a family of 5. Our room was large enough to accommodate all of our needs and we did not feel like we were crowding each other. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is located in a great location. There are plenty of restaurants and stores near the hotel.
We chose this hotel because it was close to UB and was recommended on the universitys website. We were there for a college visit and dance audition for my daughter. The staff was so friendly and helpful from those at the reception desk to those cleaning the rooms. The room was well furnished and I could see why this would be a good choice for an extended stay. I found it a bit high priced for a 2 day stay, but that was my only issue. One woman at the front desk wrote out a list of restaurants that she would recommend based on what we were looking for. That was so helpful.Breakfasts had a good variety of foods from which to choose. Im gluten intolerant and there were foods I could eat.We were very pleased with our stay and the room was very comfortable and spacious.
My family and I stayed here for Thanksgiving and had the best experience. The facilities were great and accommodating for every age. It really helped us get in the spirit of the holiday having friends and family gather at the Staybridge Suites. Originally from the area, I appreciated staying in a hotel that honored the local culture in the hotel and room decoration. And having a place to store items for our Thanksgiving meal only the fridge was so handy! Hope to stay again!
I would highly recommend this hotel. The room was immaculate! We chose this hotel for the extra space, but were pleasantly surprised that the livingroom and bedroom was separate. It allowed us to have friends stop by and hang out in the livingroom area for a bit. The best perk was that our dogs were able to join us. They were greeted by staff just as welcoming as we were. The morning complimentary breakfast buffet was delicious. Not what a typical hotel breakfast is like. Highly recommend!
We have stayed at a couple of different Staybridge Suites and this one, by far, is the absolutely best. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, the rooms are always clean and well stocked with towels and extra blankets. The breakfast in the morning is usually pretty good and you dont have to venture out for coffee and breakfast. Plenty of space for you to gather outside of your room if you are there with a large party. They always have a fun snack at the front desk for you to enjoy. The cleanliness and welcoming staff is the reason we keep coming back.
We had a fantastic stay at this new hotel. Although off the beaten path, the hotel offered good value for money and the room was spacious enough for 4 of us (and could have held more!) Close to the university and not too far from shopping, this clean, new hotel offers a lovely stay. Warm cookies served in the afternoon, free dinner and breakfast were added bonuses! You won’t be disappointed with your stay here! The staff are courteous and helpful and make the check in/out process super easy. Would highly recommend.
I am in Buffalo many times a year for meetings and family, And have stayed at many hotels over the years. The Amherst Staybridge was a nice surprise. It is not the fanciest, but the hotel has a combination of services and great personnel that makes it the best place at which I have stayed. The rooms are clean and include a kitchenette. The charges are very reasonable. I can’t say enough about the staff and manager; you can’t walk past an individual without being asked if they help.
Upon arriving to check in we were greeted by both employees at the front desk with friendly “hellos”. After stating that we were checking in the gentleman behind the desk said everything was in order. We were on our way to our 3 separate rooms in minutes. Every time we entered the property or left we were acknowledged. When passing by housekeeping or maintenance employees in the hallways we were also greeted warmly. I’ve stayed at a lot of places that were nice and clean but the friendly and warm staff here made a real difference. The next time I’m in Buffalo I will definitely be booking here again.
So the property is pretty good, nice common areas, pool, fitness room and large rooms. The staff though was so incredibly kind to my 5 yo and they also helped me when my rental car battery died and jumped the battery. They helped us with extra blankets and snacks when my daughter caught a cold. My room kitchen had a full fridge, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, 2 burners so that was very helpful to have. The location is in a very nice suburb and there are several restaurants within the same area making it a but walkable and very close to UB. The pool area was also really nice and deserted. The pool bathroom could use a refresh but understandable with moisture. I’ll definitely stay again and would recommend it, particularly of staying for a long term visit or with kids and you need some space
Excellent experience! They have a great complimentary breakfast and evening social time with food too! The evening meal could have been more of a meal but we werent there for it most days anyway. We had a two bedroom suite with two bathrooms and a kitchen like a condo but still had the onsite ameneties like a regular hotel (pool, fitness room and FREE laundry)! They have like 6 or 8 washers and dryers so had to wait a bit one night but not long! It was clean and worked well. It seemed a little expensive at first but really if we had to get two seperate rooms it wouldve been a lot higher. We were going to Niagara falls and i waited too long to book and everything i tried was booked. This place is only about 30 minutes from there. Very good experience and I definitely recommend it!
We had a group of twelve in two rooms and everyone loved this place. It is very clean and has a wonderful outdoor fireplace that is electric, so there is no fussing with it. The hearth is large with many chairs and tables to fit your need. The pool / hot tub stays open until midnight which is great if you get in late and want to enjoy those. The breakfast was good, with the exception of the egg. I do not believe they were real eggs, very dry and crumbly. othere than that everything else was great! We called down for more towels and got them very quickly. We asked for the rooms to be in close proximity to one another after they had assigned my room and they changed one of the rooms so that we could be together. They took our group picture in the lobby for us. The hotel sits in a U shape plaza. The hotel takes up say the bottom of the U and the two sides have many places to eat, grab a drink or even a frozen yogurt. Loved everything about it.
Its a total disgrace. Never ever book a room over phone in this hotel. They promise you one and deliver another. When I called in I booked a room for 4 people, I was told that the room has 2 king size bedsBut when we went there they gave me a room with just a double bed and just said they were sorry for the miscommunication. The staff were so arrogant to even apologize.I would never recommend anyone to this hotel. They didnt even cancel the reservation. We had to pay for the room for which we didnt even stay and not even what we booked.Worst ever experience
Myself and family enjoyed staying at Stayridge at UB/ AMHERST just before the Thanksgiving Holiday.I made reservation for 1-Bedroom Suite and was surprised with a free upgrade to 2-Bedroom Suite as IHG premium member.Inspite of the COVID-19 Lockdown and restrictions, the suite was very clean, and all furniture and and kitchen tools were sanitized .We enjoyed the full kitchen with dishwasher and large microwave, full size fridge and top burners.COVID-19 restrictions prevented opportunities to socialize, and hope to make it up after the pandemic is behind us.The breakfast was also arranged according to the COVID-19 restrictions in a nice and safe way. Thanks a lot Stayridge Team.
Great hotel in a suburban location. We had a large one-bedroom suite with sofa sleeper. The suite had a nice kitchen with dishes, paper towels, pots and pans, and other basic kitchen necessities. Everything was very clean and nicely positioned for easy access in the room. Bathroom was spacious and clean with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was great. Would definitely stay here again.
The stay would have been very good had the pool been clean and warm. It looked dirty and not very appealing along with dirty towels on the floor and garbage left on tables. No clean towels available without having to go and ask for them. The evening staff that brought the towels in made no attempt to clean up the mess. The towels were about the size of hand towels and had a lot of room for improvement. Hot tub was nice. Pillows in the room were horrible. They were very small. The motion activated light in the bathroom kept going on and off by itself. Seems like a good concept but didnt work right. Breakfast was very good. Food was fresh and hot. Night staff was pleasant but not overly friendly. Breakfast staff was attentive but not friendly or talkative. Morning guest services very friendly.
We spent 4 nights in this hotel and – despite how full the facility was – the staff did a terrific job seeking to meet our needs, no matter how big or small. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were clean and the breakfast experience was much better than the average hotel of this type. My wife and I were very impressed and will be back, for sure.
Favorite hotel in the area! Great location, close to everything. Breakfast has a great selection, and free dinner Monday through Thursday is the BEST! The rooms are spacious, the entire place is incredibly clean, and the pool/hot tub are GREAT. Nice, big, and usually not in use! Ive never had a bad experience here. Oh, and the beds are incredibly comfortable.
Everything was wonderful especially considering the difficulties due to covid. Wish the lobby area seating was available as has been in other hotels but Im all fairness this hotel has a more intimate and homey lobby and would have been difficult to keep it open and disinfected.Otherwise an amazing experience!!
Since the beginning of covid our travels have been limited; however, we have stayed at 4 or 5 various hotels over the past 10 months. The Staybridge in Amherst was by far the best. The staff was extremely customer focused, the covid procedures were in place and enforced; and the hotel was immaculate. keep up the good work.regardstom and sue gilewski
My husband and I recently stayed at this new hotel. It was very nice, brand new. We loved the 1 bedroom suite. It was very clean and modern. The kitchen was so convenient and it really was a home away from home. Also the hotel offers free laundry facilities, which is a bonus as well as a decent breakfast and light meal in the evening. I cant think of any other hotel who offers so much.Nick was working that evening and was very accommodating and friendly with the guests. He went out of h is way to make sure you were satisfied. Hes a great staff member and valuable asset to this organization. We will definitely stay here again. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub
Being able to get one room for a family of 6 is Huge. Our suite had two bedrooms, each with a bath. Suite was very clean and well furnished. The kitchen was great for packing lunches and evening snacks. The pool was very welcome after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet was excellent, both in variety and quality. The front desk staff was very friendly. Niagara Falls is just a short drive away. The site is still being developed so more restaurants are coming, but Mighty Taco and Jimmy Johns is good start. The bathroom sink area does not have a door so using the sink puts light into the bedroom.
This is the best place to stay - the apartment like setting gives you lots of space to relax. I love the separate bedroom especially as we had two children with us. The full kitchen is a blessing with children travelling with you.Two TVs is great and there are lots of channels to choose from. Free wifi - great! We love this place and have never been disappointed when weve stayed here.
The service and room at the hotel have been absolutely great. We checked in during a busy time, but still got prompt accurate service. The pool has a salt water pool, which is awesome. It is located in a small plaza that has a bar and some restaurants. One of the days there was a meal that had no meatless option, we asked if they could prepare something and they more than accommodated us by preparing omelets with peppers and cheese. Very nice.
I arrived at the hotel late and was very tired. The room was clean and spacious. Theres lots of room to spread out my belongings.King size bed was nice and comfy, although the pillows were a bit too soft for my liking. Kitchenette and bathroom were clean and tidy, and everything I expected was there.Would come back again and stay at this property. The free breakfast is a nice perk in the morning as well.
The hotel is clean with friendly staff. Free Breakfast was wonderful and plentiful. Free bottled water when we leave in the morning and freshly baked cookies when we get back in the evening were great treats from the front office staff. Great amenities including swimming pool, exercise, laundry and self parking. I love that there is a bar and little restaurants right when you get out of the hotel.
Excellent room great location. Excellent check in desk service, although the room was not ready they provided a small room off the lobby for us to have our late lunch as we had two babies. The 2 bedroom suite was clean and the kitchen facilities was great. The only negative was the furniture in the living room of our suite is looking a little tired and worn. Excellent staff!
I booked this hotel using my IHG reward points, and overall i am very pleased with my stay. I got King Suite, it had a bedroom and hall, bed room had a comfy king bed with attached bath room. And hall had a big sofa convertible bed, fully quipped kitchen, Microwave, Full size fridge and TV. Rooms were clean. Complimentary breakfast was nice. We also enjoyed the time spent in Swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The other good thing was the checkout time which was 12 pm, so it gives an hour extra as normally its 11 pm everywhere.
I cant speak highly enough of the staff. I dealt with 3 different individuals as I was planning to stay. I organized for other families to come stay with us as well as we were honoring our daughters for senior night of their athletic career at UB. Each staff member was so easy going and accommodating. Their pleasant attitudes really made the stay very comfortable for all. The rooms were also very comfortable and worked well for the group. I had a 2 bedroom room and a king suite and both met our needs with ease.

2022-06-18This was probably the best hotel experience I have ever had. The staff was amazing. We asked them questions about must-see places and they delivered. The pool was closed for maintenance during our stay and they coordinated with another hotel for use of their pool. The breakfast was great. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable.

2021-12-14We landed here during the Dec 11,2021 Tornadoes Weekend. Winds had power lines down. But Staybridge had underground power and a warm inviting glow!We enjoyed a local Debbie Boone Holiday Show andA meal at the tavern only 40 feet away. That was good since the winds were over 50 MPH.We barely could stand up.The hotel was very well turned out for the holidays also.People enjoyed board games in the spacious common room.Cookies and coffee flowed smoothly.

2022-05-27Pro - Very good location and was given a spacious 2 bed room for the stay. Beds were goodHowever the maintenance within the room was bad, the bathroom shower handle came off many times. The front desk did not have any DVDs. It was like a place which flourished once upon a time and now lost it. Breakfast also was pretty limited in variety. All over the hotel, there was some food smell (kitchen was provided but cant understand how smell goes throughout). Had better expectations with IHG (am a member), seems only holiday inn has some standards maintained

2022-06-18Exceptionally friendly staff, very nice place, excellent breakfast with hot food, fruit, yogurt. The bagels and bread selection were much better than the average hotel. Thank you for the smiles and the effort put into making this a great place to stay.

2022-02-17My overall experience was okay. The politeness from the staff and early check-in made planning my daughters surprise Galentines sleepover very accommodating. However the room cleanliness was less than sub standards. The vent above the microwave was full of dust, the garbage disposal had gross smell from the kitchen sink, the living room and barstools were ripped and stained, and walls throughout the room were stained.I good hard elbow cleaning can make all the difference here. Its the details that matter; especially during times when germs and variants are on a arise. Also, it would been nice to receive an email to inform guests the pool was closed for repairs...that was a huge + to why we booked.

2022-03-12We had a double room. 2 bedrooms and a kitchen and living room in the middle. It was perfect for our family. 3 in each bedroom. If someone wanted to take a nap they could use one of the bedrooms. The rooms have doors which is awesome. Less noise from the hallways in the bedrooms because of doors on the bedrooms. Everything was clean and comfortable. They also have one the the best continental breakfast that I have ever seen. Lots of choices and good food.

2022-03-17I had my family there for a hockey tournament. We booked a 2 bedroom suite. What a great room and what a great price. We were greeted by friendly staff at the front desk. Check in was easy and quick. The lobby was really nice, fire going in the fireplace and comfortable furniture throughout. Our room was really great. the 2 bedroom is perfect. Nice kitchen, good sized living room and 2 spacious bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The beds were really comfortable! The furniture in the living room was a little worn, but clean and comfortable. The location was great for us, close to dining and entertainment. It is also close to a UB campus. The complimentary breakfast was great. Plenty of choices, fresh fruit, waffles, cereal, eggs and bacon, toast juice water, something for everyone in my family. We were there for 3 nights and it was a great place to stay. If you need a room in that area of town, stay at the Staybridge suites. A great experience indeed.

2022-05-08A hotel like this hotel that doesnt fully clean the rooms daily is a YOUTH HOSTEL. FULL daily cleaning is automatically implied in every hotel reservation. This is not the luxury hotel thats expected. Please look elsewhere!

2022-04-05Staff called in the morning of our 9 hour drive, they need their payment, or else reservation will get cancelled. And when we check out a day early, staff has to check on the manager, because there is an early checkout penalty fee, you get a penalty for checking out early. But it got waived because we booked through Expedia, but if we booked through them directly, there is a fee, for checking out early. Base on these facts, I believe I am staying away…
