I booked this place for the price and its convenient location to the airport. Surprisingly great experience! The room was clean and roomy. The check-in and check-out was efficient. It’s not a fancy hotel, but definitely has everything you need. Its room was relatively quiet compared with other places I stayed in the New York City. Many good ethnic restaurants located nearby for you to explore. The shuttle bus to the airport is located at the corner of the street. I am very satisfied with the stay.

I had high hopes for The Steinway Hotel but it was not the best experience. Checking in was slow due to inexperienced desk clerks. Paid for 2 nights of parking to have to squeeze into the parking garage that was usually blocked by the people next door , once you got into the garage you had to deal with limited spaces usually taken by people they allowed to park from the neighborhood without them being paying customers of the hotel. I had to wait for almost an hour until they removed someone that wasnt paying for parking. The hallways are not carpeted its all tile , I guess it makes it easier to keep clean but its very noisy and every noise echoes. People slamming doors in the middle of the night yelling and speaking at high volume. It was very difficult to sleep peacefully because of this along with the AC unit being loud as well. We had to shut it off because of the sounds it was making all night. Rooms are small with no place to hang any clothing. So be prepared to have to wear your clothes wrinkled because you cant hang them. Even the bathroom has no hooks to hang your towels. Most places at least have a hook on the door .

We booked here mostly for the convenient location, but the service was also super friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean and quiet, and Wi-Fi worked perfect, so no complaints. Overall great value!

Overall a fine choice for the price point.Neighborhood: we are a family of one man, one woman, and a teen boy. The hotel is right in the heart of a middle eastern neighborhood with tons of restaurants, people hanging out all hours, and late night food trucks. We loved it and felt safe.A/C: didn’t work. Staff said it was being worked on. It wasn’t completely off—didn’t feel muggy in our room, but was warmer than we wanted.Lights: three big ceiling lights. All on or all off. No side lamps.Mirrors: a single mirror in the bathroom.Shower: mold on the bottom of the shower curtain.Service: two towels provided, so we asked for a third. When the cleaning person came, they changed out all 3 towels (no option to leave hanging if you don’t want them changed), but only 2 were left in their place, so we again had to ask for another towel.Beds: plenty of pillows.Floors: tiled.Refrigerator, kettle, tv, several plugs.

This hotel is a joke. First of all the people in the reception area are inexperienced + not willing to help ( I kept asking for a fridge for two nights and they didnt bring one). Rooms dont have iron + iron board, No clothes hanging stuff, and The AC is a disaster (doesnt work effectively and it is very very very loud lol). Everything is weird in this place receptionists, housekeeping, rooms, etc..). Based on my experience the price for a night shouldnt exceed 30$ and the funny is their price is starting from > 130$ for a room per night lol.If you have your room on the street side then Good luck lol, you will never sleep. Also, you can hear the noise from the other rooms (so if you have kids and you dont want them to hear the details of the intimacy that takes place in the opposite room, then never come here).Those people who rated this hotel 5 stars are obviously owners or workers. And I am saying for them it is fine to rate it 5 stars if you know it deserves it, but you definitely know that it doesnt worth a one star.Thank you for reading my comment, I hope this gonna encourage the hotel owners to improve it, and it really needs to work hard on it guys.
