We called early in the afternoon for delivery of 5 pies not only were they on time but pizza was fantastic. For a brick oven pizza La Strada of Merrick is by far the best... For a regular pie this place is awesome. Grandma slice top notch, the sauce the cheese wow. Chx bruschetta was perfect and garlic knots deliciously soaked... the only problem is I waited 10 years to try it. I will absolutely be back... Thank You...
Stellas makes the best pizza on Long Island. The garlic knots. Those spinach pin wheel things. Meatball Parm, Chicken Parm. Fettuccine Alfredo all great. Eat in, take out and delivery Ive done it all and was always well satisfied.

I admire this place! They give marvelous food, their menu is varied, The chef in that spot is a specialist, I love very much tasting all their dishes. The food is always fresh and tasty, the service towards the customers is nice. I frequently visit this restaurant and I was never disappointed. Highly recommended.
Ate here 5 times during Hurricane Sandy. I was a Fema Disaster Relief Inspector. I did hundreds and hundreds of inspections. I asked the locals what was the best pizza in Long Island. Stellas came up over 45 times. I had most all singles slices so I could try many. I loved the rice balls. Never had them. I am from Virginia. We don’have pizza and deli’s & butchers like in Long Island. I highly recommend. Great service. They took care of me. 👍

We ordered a deep dish pizza today with pepperoni, peppers and onions. We picked it up at 7 pm. We were gravely disappointed upon reaching home. It looked like the pie was 1/2 cooked as the cheese did not appear to have melted. The crust was no better. We have 5 slices left and my wife and I both would prefer to throw it away rather than warm it up another day. We would strongly recommend to stay away from their deep dish pizza and stick to the basics cheese pie or Sicilian pies.
This place was a traditional stop after the beach where my kids and I would devour the Margherita pizza. (Then go down the block for Carvel) Family still on LI so every chance I get I have to stop here. Recently had Chicken Marsala and baked clams which were delicious 😋
We typically order take out and occasionally eat in the restaurant. Yesterday, we had our fourth event (over the past 8 years) in the back room of Stellas restaurant. The room is bright, airy and has nice decor.The food is delicious with plentiful portion sizes.We find the owners to friendly and accommodating.
Their specialty slices are AMAZING. They seem to be made perfectly everytime. Stacked with ingredients and evenly distributed, cooked perfectly crispy but not burnt.I cant stress how well they make their specialty pies. They are deep dish, so you get a lot of bang for your buck. The thickness allows them to pile on so much good stuff (Like the ton of bacon and chicken I had on my Chicken Bacon Ranch slice)!
Stop in here for the first time when visiting friends in Merrick. There were so many different pizza choices they all looked great. I settled for the classics.... a regular slice and a slice of Sicilian. Both perfect!
These guys are the best. As kids in the early 1980s we would go iceskating at Mill Pond and afterward look forward to getting a piping hot slice of pizza here. I am living in South Florida now but I sent a couple of pies to a good friend that still lives in Bellmore as a suprise. They gave Stellas a raving review - said the pies were great. You have to be selective in what you order. Basically look at the pizza,calzones,chicken rolls etc. Before you order. I ordered a sausage a pepper roll and after it was heated up,it was ice cold! Which indicates it was yesterdays food being reheated and sold. By the the way this was 12noon i ordered the sausage and pepper roll so whattas that say?
Wow, probably the worst pizza I ever had. Dough was just awkward. On the deep dish, if I were to describe it, I would have thought it was made this morning a d out all day and simply thrown in the oven when we ordered to reheat it ... but it was nearly cold when it arrived. Super hard, weird, but almost no, taste. Regular pie was off as well. Dough just had a weird taste/texture. So many good pizza places around, so this was super disappointing.
Extremely long wait--No apology or free appetizers to make up for it. The waitress was absent for most of our meal. If I was the server, I would have given an apology and offered some pizza slices while we were waiting the 90 min, or one slice for everyone to take home. We wont be back.
Best in town, service the Bellmore community forever. Locally owned and like family. The best COVID service since this whole thing began, clean, safe and quick even on a sat/sun night.

Service is great, pizza is great, pasta dishes not so great.. i ordered 3 pasta dishes on sunday for the family and all of us are still sick with stomach issues. would definitely recommend them for pizza though amazing pizza never had any issues

The food is good, but the service is horrendous. When ordering through delivery, they continue to forget entire meals or the meat thats supposed to be IN the meal! Then want to charge YOU for THEIR screw up. Ridiculous and a joke. Never eating from here again.

Ive been eating at Stellas since 1978 when they were across the street. never more than an ok neighborhood pizza. maybe that WAS a good thing.Things change a LOT over the years. A few years ago the pizza had gotten so bad it was HORRIBLE, just about the time that Joe and/or Gino brought their sons/grandsons and some really, really dumb guys and some indifferent chick (who EVER) to work in the place. The bad attitude and nasty disposition of the things working there made this a miserable place to visit. NOW they have hired some REALLY BADASS crap to work the counter. NASTY BASTARDS!!!!!! The pizza isnt that much better, still thick and very bland and UNDERCOOKED (I always hear customers begging for well done, PLEASE!) although well done isnt for me either, just plain NY slice, please, but now served with extra attitude. At first I got nasty service from one guy. There are now at least three guys in the front that offer you their version of a crappy attitude. There are MANY pizza joints around everywhere. My friends and family have all sworn off this place. Not for the so so pizza, but we cant stomach the abuse anymore. I get heartburn BEFORE I eat here. Goodbye Stellas. You are sorely missed.

DONT ORDER!!!Ordered food at 5.20 pm, food was supposed to arrive by 6.05, called them at 6.20 pm to ask about the food and they told me it is on the way but at 6.45 they called me back to tell me they forgot to prepare and the guy was laughing on the phone when I have hungry children on a Sunday nightUnprofessional !!! 2022-04-19This was My first time here eating here, All the employees were fantastic such nice guys the place was clean and the food was spectacular!! The white slice I had was probably the best tasting white slice I ate in my whole life!! I would highly recommend Stella Pizza to anybody, the name Stella is an understatement compared to the service and the quality of the food I received !!!

2022-02-28Had our daughter Maggies baby christening here and I truly have to say it was handled wonderfully by the staff at Stellas. Cant say enough on the theme and decorations designed and set up by my daughter Kelly.If your doing any type of party or fundraising event I would recommend Kelly for planning purposes hands down

2019-11-04Pizza tastes great.Lost 2 stars because pizza was cut like a child did it. Plus, delivery guy was early; then got annoyed at me because I wasnt able to come to the door right away. Despite his tude, I still gave him a decent tip.

2021-09-30We stopped here for a quick slice of regular and I took home a big slice of Caesar salad chicken for later- all delicious! One of the tastiest regular slices I’ve had in a while actually. Our fountain drinks were bubbly and and cold too. They also have honey mustard chicken slices without lettuce, which I’m going to try next time. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be back soon!

2021-12-25Do not cater major holidays from this place. Second year in a row they ruined Christmas Eve. Delivered food an hour and half late last year. Food was good so we tried again this year and AGAIN they didn’t have the food ready. Done with this place
