Great experience selling a collection of vintage amplifiers to Stereo Buyers. Pete was extremely helpful, professional, and offered a fair price for the items, which made it a smooth and easy transaction.
This is one of the easiest transactions I have ever made for high end equipment. Their offers were fair, they were easy to deal with and extremely responsive. They made selling high-end audio equipment as easy as possible even though there were tears in my eyes as FedEx picked up the cartons at some point in life you have to shed down on a few luxuries and they made it as easy as it could be. I would recommend them to anyone interested in down sizing high-end audio equipment.

My story is similar to the rest of the reviews. Saw a writeup in the WSJ and gave them a call. I had at least a dozen different pieces I wanted to sell. They gave me the best offer and Robert came to my house and took everything apart with care. I traded for a used pair of speakers and the price was far and condition like brand new.They also sell new gear and have some great lines. I wouldnt hesitate to do business again or to refer friends in the area. They drove up from Red Hook to my home in Ct and were exactly on time. Nice dealing and the check cleared!!!
I had a great experience working with Adam and Robert selling about a dozen items that needed to find a new home. The quotes were fair, the communication was excellent, and the pickup process was super smooth. Theres definitely some anxiety going into in a situation like this wondering if something will go wrong, but in short nothing did and it went better than I expected! Would use again.

Having dealt with several high end stereo companies in NYC and LI over 30 years, my experience with StereoBuyers was the best by far.I mad a tradein and purchase upgrade.I was quite impressed with the service and email communications with all involved. After being an avid audiophile for 30 years it was time to downsize. My wife and I were reverse retiring to a small New York City apartment and my all-out-assault of a vacuum tube stereo system wasnt gonna fit in our new abode. I googled who buys stereos and up popped Stereobuyers. I have to be honest, despite their many years in business and glowing reviews I was a bit skeptical about what kind of offer I was going to receive. I wasnt selling your basic run of the mill stereo system. I was selling a Kondo Audio Note system made in Japan. I paid 6 figures for this work of art about 20 years ago. To my surprise Adam promptly replied with a few basic questions which I answered. The next email to my surprise was a very reasonable and fair offer.I accepted! I set up an appointment with their logistics coordinator Robert. Later that week Robert arrived with cash in hand and the promise that Stereobuyers would find a new owner for the Hi Fi system that would cherish it as much as I did. I didnt have to lift a finger, Robert disconnected the system and schlepped it out...he couldnt have been more courteous and professional ...he even removed his shoes when entering me house! I couldnt have hoped for a more positive outcome. Thank you Stereobuyers !!!

2022-03-22StereoBuyers made this transaction very easy and enjoyable. Besides giving me a very fair price on my trade-in, they were very competitively priced on the item I was buying from them, AND they took care of all the shipping arrangements both ways so that I didnt have to worry about it. The new component is exactly as described in their listing, and was very carefully packed to prevent any damage during shipping. Shipping was much faster than I had expected, and the new component is already up and running perfectly in my system. The entire process was seamless and tidy, and could not have been any smoother. I am completely pleased with their A+++ service, and will look forward to doing business with them again in the future.

2022-01-19This is my 2nd time selling to this company. Both times zero stress. Sure they don’t buy standard stuff. But i recently sold speakers that were higher end in 2006-2007. I got a fair price. I’m sure they make some money or otherwise why do this lol. It saves you the hassle of selling and shipping yourself which I have horror stories. You also know those that follow their site are audiophiles. And that your old product will find a good home!!

2020-09-02I had a great experience working with Adam and Robert to sell a few stereo items. They provided a quick, fair quote, and offered prepaid shipping labels for the gear (I am not local to them for pickup). They then tested everything the same day it was delivered and even paid me that day via Paypal within 20 minutes of confirming my preferred payment method. Very satisfied customer here!
