Very professional staff, the doctor is very informative . Dr. Kaur helped throughout the whole process . She is very knowledgeable. I also got a nice pair of glasses. Would highly recommend the doctor and this practice for eye care.
Went here for an exam and to get new glasses. Had a great experience, everyone was transparent with what my insurance covered. For the first time in years, I felt like a received a thorough exam and a quality pair of glasses! Thank you to the entire staff!!
Pathetic customer service no detailed policy giving before taking deposit money and now not changing glasses prescription which I requested within 60 days though the guy at the counter says you can alter if the doctor change number within 60 days. I spent almost $400 completely waste of money. Not recommended at all.
Dr. Kaur was one of the most thorough and patient doctors I’ve consulted with. My contact prescription has greatly aided my vision. Highly recommend!
Friendly staff. My insurance was verified after i browsed the store for frames i liked even though i was really there for contacts. No pressure during my browsing. When i was ready to do business it was handled in the most professional manner. Optician is the professional and patient. Answered all my questions.Their prices are more reasonable than their competitor in the mall.
There was a woman by the name of Ari that took her time with all of us to make sure everyone was happy. Thank you Ari for taking care of my family and I!My family and I visited this location on a Saturday. There was 9 of us. The staff was completely energetic and ready to help all of us with our individual tastes and needs. My mother being the pickiest of the bunch was able to find a great frame that matched her prescription and her face. She is very happy with the selection and was able to get her glasses in a few days. I am happy to rate this store with 5 stars based on the quality of service.
Clean office with minimal wait time. Dr. Kaur was very professional and knowledgeable. She was very patient with answering my questions and now I see clearer than ever.
I went to this place because of an available Groupon offering a free eye exam and $200 towards my glasses. I thought it was a great deal, but I ended up spending an additional $250 on the glasses even with choosing the cheapest frame which basically equalled the whole covered $200 and then I paid for the lenses which makes sense. I understand the amount I had to pay its a sneaky trick but it makes sense. What makes me mad is that when I went for my super old school exam they didnt bother to take my measurements for the glasses or anything so once I went to pick them up I told the woman at the desk they were too tight and she said they would stretch out. I dont recommend this place not just because of the Groupon but also because of the way they operate.
I’ve recently started going here and I do not regret it. The customer service is amazing here and they have beautiful glasses to pick from. This place never disappoints, which is why I always recommend it to everyone.
Staff is very rude and not helpful at all. Definitely would not recommend considering the fact that they told me corporate pushes sales and isnt at all considerate on customers price ranges for glasses. Essentially the woman helping me find a pair of glasses didnt apply my insurances allowance and committed insurance fraud. Very disappointed and will not be going back. Do not go to sterling optical to get glasses. Overpriced and rude employees. They are not looking out for your best interest!
Was in the area on vacation. Had a bag with my glasses and contact lenses stolen and called to see if I could get replacement lenses at short notice. My home optician had emailed me my prescription but the person I spoke to at Sterling obtusely insisted I bring a printed copy rather than just showing the prescription on my phone or forwarding the email. I explained had no access to a printer but no effort was made to understand my situation. I went to Cohens instead and found staff there far more helpful.
A very welcoming center. Open to walk ins which makes this location very convenient. Dr. Kaur is a very good listener and is very understanding towards her patients.
This place is a rip off!!! They wanted to charge me 315$ for my sons glasses. They said I had a copay with my insurance UHCP. I called my insurance and they told I dont have a copay at all. The receptionist told me because he has a higher stigmatism . I went to Hicksville optical I didnt have to pay a penny at all . I dont recommend this 👎.
Please do not go there. They are ripping off their customer by charging really high for prescription glasses. When I did comparison with different store price they are not giving my money back even though I ask refund very next day.
Spoke to ella a worker there she is a liar , I told her my son broke his glasses and I need the prescription numbers to get a new pair of glasses she stated she could not give it to me if it was more than one year old, she came back said it too old, she hesitated to give me the dates , then I called the Dr. who gave the original prescription , they promptly sent me the prescription. Thats a shame that she could not send me the information. when I made the purchase for the glasses in the Broadwy Mall store. Customer Service is garbage there , I will not go there ever again!

The actual eye doctor was good but the customer service from the sales people was terrible. They are very rude and fail to deliver on promises. I would avoid this place at all costs.

2022-03-02From the onset of my visit, I felt my whole experience was a money grab. First, Sterling Optical accepted my vision insurance yet they were insistent that my actual health insurance had to be used to get a multifocal exam. Second, the doctor who examined me claimed that Acuvue doesnt make daily multifocal lenses and instead I had to use the brand (Alcon) that they had fully stocked for sampling. I later looked online and was able to find Acuvue multifocal lenses on other websites. Third, when I tried to use my my insurance benefits to buy a 3 month supply of contacts I was told that wasnt possible and can only purchase an annual supply. I called my insurance provider (VSP) to confirm and was told that the information provided by the store was incorrect and I can purchase whatever I wanted. This lead to my last experience with the store where I called back to let them know what my insurance said and was then told by the employee that I cant use any of the benefits because they are contracted to do so and could only purchase at full price. On top of all of that, I actually wrote an email to Sterling Optical corporate to let them know about my experience, and never heard back from them! Needless to say, they will no longer be getting my business.

2021-06-09This place is great! I did the remote exam, and I am so happy with the prescription I got.Before this, I hadnt had an eye exam in about 7 years - I hate going to the eye doctor. However, Donna made my experience such a pleasure that Im actually looking forward to my next check up. I cant believe I actually said that! Great customer service, fantastic selection of frames. Not to mention a, very clean store - and not just I wiped down the counter really quick - but the place actually smells clean. I couldnt be happier.

2021-06-09Amazing place for eye exam and glasses. Doctor is amazing and very attentive. Great selection of designer frames as well as lower price frames. My whole family goes there and we are very happy with prices and services.The staff is amazing.I definitely recommend to go there for all your optical needs

2021-06-09Dr. Kaur is one of the most patient and attentive doctors I have seen for my annual eye checkup. She really took the time to help me understand my vision and ocular health. The sales representatives were wonderful, as well. They were incredibly transparent about how we could best utilize my insurance benefits to get me fit with the products most suited for my needs. The office is sparkling clean and diligently follows COVID safety protocols. Would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone!

2021-06-09Just got my eye exam here along with my husband and was completely amazed. Dr. Kaur is one of the few doctors who I actually had a great experience with. They have great prices and are very quick on helping. Will definitely keep coming again .

2021-06-01I have been wearing glasses and contacts for over 15 years. Whenever I would go to eye doctors in the Malls, I felt rushed and pressured to buy expensive frames. However, when I went to Sterling optical in Broadway Mall, things immediately felt different. Dr. Kaur was very professional and kind. I felt comfortable with her and felt like my eyes were given the best care. Dr. Kaur gave me a thorough eye exam and prescribed me the most comfortable contacts. I would recommend her to anyone.

2021-10-13BEWARE OF SCAM - TRICK TO GET YOU TO BUY NEW GLASSES THAT YOU DON’T NEED!After the new management, I was hoping it would get better cause there was an extremely rude girl that used to work behind the counter, but now,.. now even the optimologist was mean and nasty. She also gave my wife the wrong prescription and said she needed new glasses when her current glasses were fine.My wife came in just to get her eyes checked and, even though she had an eye exam only 6 months ago, they said she was due for another.. (cause her insurance was willing to pay).The Asian optimologist has such an attitude, my wife should have just walked out. My wife even said that something didn’t seem right with the prescription, but was told that her eyes changed a lot and that it was normal. she said my wife’s prescription has changed so bad that her glasses could cause damage (spoiler alert: end result is she is wearing the same exact prescription as before only they extracted $325 out of pocket and god knows how much from insurance. Ching Ching 💰).So first they changed the script dramatically.. my wife couldn’t see the moment she put the glasses on she told them she couldn’t walk safely with them on, but the woman behind the counter said she would get used to it and to just wear them. Within days, my wife was going cross eyed with bad headaches. the attempt to adjust to this dramatic change made her original glasses not work the same. Apparently this is a common issue when a prescription is changed too fast and should be done gradually, but the thing is.. there really was no change in prescription to begin with! Even if the script had indeed changed, which it actually didn’t. My wife is a very kind woman but she doesn’t stick up for herself. She often asks me to come to appointments with her cause for some reason, things like this don’t happen when I’m with her (not completely unusual for women to have this issue at medical appointments from what I have heard).So this is a scam.. they tried to cause concern about causing damage but actually they are the one causing damage by having someone wear an inappropriate script (a whole 1.00 difference which is a lot). So my wife goes back and asks to see a different optimologist (this one was nice, courteous and very helpful. I wish I remembered names but she is only there on Fridays and she is Caucasian with light brown hair). She put the script back to exactly the original script! My wife would have never bought a new pair of glasses to begin with! They completely scammed us out of our hard working money. We are already struggling and would have never spent that kind of money.The attitude of the women behind the counter completely changed after the money was spent. So nice while she was choosing glasses but a completely different demeanor when there’s not turning back.

2021-06-09Great place to get an eye exam! I finally got an updated prescription for contacts and glasses and it was super quick and easy. They are extremely covid safe - very clean environment and even saw the eye doctor remotely from the exam room. Everyone there was so nice! Highly recommend
