Something new every day 3 or so a few years ago. 5 star down to barely a 1 star. Now, absolutely no good finds! Everything is junk and way overpriced. Living near it had really made it easy to see how much it has changed for the worse. Litteraly nothing good for the money they ask. A filthy old couch for $200? Crazy and really pathetic. Dont waste your gas.
This place is great. Organized, cheap prices, everything clean. Employees are always nice, electronic products are always tested. You wont ever find something with corroded batteries or something that doesnt work and if you do you can return electronic items for 14 days. They dont use stickers that destroy products. There is always somewhere there to help you carry something out to your car if need be.And prices go down after a certain amount of time. 25% off then 50% off then 75% off.Im used to the salvation army in Elmira and Waverly and this place is 10x more organized and professional. The Restores in Ithaca are nice too but I think the prices are better at the Corning branch.
They DONT allow service or companion animals! A male employee came rushing up to me speaking loudly WE DONT ALLOW PETS IN THIS STORE he never even asked or bothered to look at my PET. WHAT A SHAME! Walgreens, a store that has groceries to personal hygiene items allows for them to be in their store. Do you really care about our community? Doesnt seem that way to me.
This facility supports Habitat for Humanity. Donated items are sold similar to other places like Salvation Army and Goodwill. The proceeds from this particular store goes directly to Habitat for Humanity. Good prices on good basic interior flat enamel paint lots of little Bargains here and there
Wonderful place to get furniture, building supplies, and kitchenwear at unbelievable prices. As a new homeowner, this place has been a life saver for finding an affordable couch, and we will be back to hunt down more pieces! Our like-new couch was only $60. What is on the floor changes daily, so its always a nice surprise to go see.
My son and I found some great finds here. I bought an awesome bookshelf with glass door picture frames for less than $20. They had a lot of useful things at excellent prices. I went to buy a door and ended up buying a few things. Nice, casual place to walk around and shop.
Cant get enough of this store. Never know what you will find and the prices are great. Most items are in very good condition. Large furniture selection and some items that I would consider high end. Great selection of building materials, home repair items and painting supplies which is great because they can get costly. Staff is always friendly.
Oh my god, I got the most wonderful bi-fold mirror doors for my tiny house!!, $5 a set on sale. They are actually going to be attached to a wall to reflect light into the room. Then I got 2 boxes of someones left over snowflake 12in. White granite floor tiles for $5 a box. They are amazing and what a savings. They even load the items into your vehicle for you. They have building materials, furniture and a large assortment of items a very fair reasonable prices. Employees are very friendly, helpful and accommodating, I really have a great time there. Check there times cause they have limited days and hours.
Looking for a particular piece of furniture, tool, decorative knickknacks? Go to the ReStore!! You never know what treasures you might find and proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity - so there is no guilt with all the stuff you buy!!! Always a Win-Win!!! Staff is fabulously helpful.
This place felt like a catacombs, a rambling series of rooms filled with stuff. I did find a Steelcase chair (green!) in one of their furniture rooms which I happily scooped up at 50% off, $5...I would have certainly paid $10!But closing at 4pm on a Saturday? From all the customers still in the store when they started turning off the lights, I know I wasnt the only one who wanted to keep shopping! I say give the people what they want!!
Very discourteous help. You have to look hard find something at a reasonable price. They start closing down sections of the store before closing time. I was there 15 minutes before closing time and over half the store was closed down with guards not letting you go into those areas. Par for the course in New York state rude discourteous people.
We used to shop here a lot being that it is free things donated to them and they had very reasonable prices. However , that is not so any longer. Things are way more expensive now. I agree check salvos and here and compare for the best price before making a purchase. Just my suggestion.
I shop the ReStore before I shop anywhere else. Id rather recycle or reuse than buy new. Im also happy to donate as the items they sell go back into building and rehabbing new homes. Looking forward to what they come up with in 2018 as they are constantly changing around the store. I work for Habitat, but was shopping at the store long before. A lot of my projects use items purchased at a low cost from there.
I was really disappointed when I called today and inquired about the possibilty of giving them a working, in great shape oven (my mom is redoing her kitchen and it is just taking up space in her storage room at this point) in exchange for a working dryer that I am desperately in need of. The woman on the phone immediately dismissed my question without even fully hearing it. The problem with that policy is that I would be giving them an item that is sellable and would actually sell for more most likely. The woman didnt even offer a reason as to why.I do like the restore. I have found many items that I have either wanted or needed for reasonable prices. However, I dont plan to make them my first stop anymore. A simple request that would have worked out better for them in the long run (a used oven sells for more than a used dryer) was completely ignored and not even taken into consideration. I will continue to take my business elsewhere such as the Salvation Army, Good Will, and AmVets.
Over priced bad ,everything donated why cant it be cheaper so people who also dont have alot of money can buy things they want ,need ,dont sell hardly any havy blankets or clothes really any children gear that mother would need for a child ,dont pay workers if gonna charge for items ,want apt for them why cant you pay workers

2022-04-15I was treated badly by one employee in particular,my honesty was questioned and items where rejected without full knowledgeof thier uses by a self-pointed expert. As a years long frequent patron of HabitatI will no long do business with any HabitatOutlets. When a person is gifting you or patronizing your business ,Be Thankful not rude!

2021-11-16There is continually a great selection of items at incredibly decent and even bargain prices. Its always well organized; you know exactly where you might find a specific type of item. But at the same time youre sure to find something fun and unexpected. The employees are always nice and helpful. I cant remember ever meeting someone there not one of the nicest people. These things alone would be enough to recommend it. Add in that shopping here supports such a good cause and you have an absolute treasure that not enough people know about.

2022-04-10Amazing thrift store. Great prices and a constant supply of new and interesting items to purchase. If you see something you want, buy it! It likely wont be there tomorrow.

2022-05-14Not sure why a retail store isnt open on the weekend. Prices on some things are good, but other things are priced at ebay prices, not thrift store prices.

2022-06-07Friendly staff always willing to help and knock a buck or two down. A hidden gem of Corning for sure. I wish the rest of the city was as reliable as these guys.

2021-11-06Though the cause is great, the staff is not friendly. They will even push you out of the way, without saying anything. Every time I visit, things are moved to different places in the building. The prices are high for used, dirty items. If they lowered them, they would sell much more. If the prices and staff dont get you the horrible smell will. The whole store smells bad.
