Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were provided with introduction and some tips to take care while in woods. We enjoyed learning about environment while helping with some volunteer stuff.
Friendly staff. A great way to expose young children to some farm animals in a very safe environment. While the types of different animals might be small in number they can touch or pet the friendly sheep.
Great place to get up close and personal with cows, sheep goats etc. On weekends they have free open barn tours. Wonderful venue for photographers!
Beautiful traditional farm with a summer camp, great educational facilities and a wonderful staff.
Stony Kill is a wonderful local farm with great interactive programs, lots of animals and well maintained grounds.
We had so much fun.. very friendly lots of information given about the animals and my grandson was able to touch all the animals.We loved it!!

Beautiful place to walk, picknick, or see some farm animals. We were disappointed that they left the cows out in the pasture instead of them being in the barn on the only day that they open the barn.
Open barn, nice events (outside of quarantine), well marked trails. Plenty of room to hike and space out.
Hiked Verplank Trail. Nice, easy mostly level (some small inclines). But parts of the trail were grown over, making for some nervous moments. Still, highly recommended.
My 17 month old grandson loved seeing the animals up close in the barn. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
A great place to bring kids or others who think that food comes from the supermarket educational and fun. Great staff and programs, also a great place to enjoy nature on nice days.
Put a bench at the walkway on the dam. Nice little short walk. Make sure you bring your mud shoes because it can be a little slippy if the ground aint firm.
Nothing really there. You have to sign in advance to see the farm animal. Even if you can there arent many. Gardens closed.
Apple cider was excellent vegetables were always fresh cant wait to go see the new bakery there building
I love to add a little volunteer time to my life each week for Common Ground Farm.
The people who work and volunteer here are so great and friendly. A very nice place for a family outing.
We came here for a birthday party and it was great. Everyone was friendly and my kid got to experience and learn a lot.

None of the trails were marked out or maintained. The trail to the pond ended well before it

2021-11-02Beautiful farm. We wanted to hike the nature trails, but just too muddy after much recent rains. So we walked thru the farm & said hello to the cows grazing in the fields. Like a step back in time. Historic buildings/barns on site. Really enjoyed.

2021-12-14What a wonderful farm! We had a birthday party in the barn for my 3 year old and it was perfect. We got a tour of the barn, got to pet and learn about the animals, there was even a creative activity for the kiddos, and our host, Stacey, was amazing!

2019-02-19One of the last farms in the Beacon area. Amazing to have around. Barn is open on weekends. Trails are great, some were damaged in the storm. Unfortunately there are tons of McMansion communities infringing. Donate to keep the land from becoming another high end development. Im going to call it big block housing.

2018-05-08What an amazing place to bring your kids! We have been coming here for years for open barn weekends, preschool on the farm, the firefly feast, to pick our own vegetables in the summer at Common Ground, and even for summer camp for the kiddos. The educators and all of the staff here are wonderful. A hidden gem just outside of Beacon!

2021-05-06There was less going on at the farm than I expected. You cant get close/see the animals without scheduling a tour, at least that was the policy last weekend. They have educational programs for kids, a pretty large property and a cool pond. The grounds are enjoyable to walk around but it just seemed like something was missing and certain parts could use some attention and love. Would probably be more fun to bring children here.
